Digimon: Rise of the Demon Lords (It Begins)

[Gentleman Skeleton]

Pat and Dorumon were in hot pursuit of a renegade Digimon. It was Devidramon, Pat and Dorumon sent it back to the Digital World about a week prior, only for it to return with company. That company a flock of Harpymon.

"Dorumon, let's do this just like we practiced," Pat said. "After all, we're the only one's who can!"

"Yeah!" Dorumon shouted. "Metal Cannon!" Metal spikes shot from Dorumon's mouth. Some of the shots took down a few Harpymon, whom vanished without a trace. "There's too many, I just can't keep up."

"What are these things anyway?" Pat pulled out his Digivice and aimed it at a Harpymon. The screen showed data on the creature. "Harpymon: Armor level, Data, Mythical Animal Digimon. Attacks are Wind Seeker and Silent Symphony. Devidramon is a Champion level, Dark Dragon Digimon. Attacks are Crimson Nails and Red Eye."

"There are too many! I have to digivolve. Dorumon, digivolve to..." He started to glow for a second, then the glowing stopped and he was still Dorumon. "Crap, that was a decent waste of time. We need help! Lot's of it."

 

[Burning Effigy]

"V-Nova Blast"
A huge V-shaped energy attack took out the remaining harpymon.
"Veedramon we need to get rid of that devidramon, and watch out for the crimson claw."

The blue dino looked at the black digimon quickly planning a strategy. Veedramon charged at Devidramon. "Hammer Punch" Veedramon hit Devidramon with a punch strong enough to topple a building. Veedramon was knocked to the ground barely hanging onto his data.

"Crimson Claw"
Devidramon's claw glew red, and he swung it at Veedramon. Veedramon easily dodged to the side.
"V-Nova Blast" Veedramon shot another energy ray at Devidramon. Devidramon broke up into tiny particles and floated into the sky.

"Great job Veedramon. Hey let's go talk to that kid over there maybe he knows something."
"Okay Abel"Veedramon said as he shrunk back to Veemon.
Abel went up to the kid, but ignored the purple digimon next to him. "What's your name and why do you have a digimon?"

Ryu woke up with his face stuck to his keyboard. He lifted his head up and felt his cheek, where there were the imprints of keyboard keys. He looked around the room and realized it was blurry. Ryu spotted his glasses on the dest, folded, as if someone had taken them off of his face. He put them on and looked at the computer screen, which was switched off. Ryu got up and got a new pair of clothes on. After getting fully dressed, he pulled out the bottom shelf of his dresser, revealing a the cog shaped Digimon, Hagurumon. The light from the window shined on Hagurumon and he awoke and floated out of the dresser.

"Hey Ryu..." Hagurumon yawned, "You no, it is really comfortable in there, dark too, but I got over that. Ohh, and you've got somthing on your cheek-"

"I know. Anyway, I want to learn more about the Digital World," Ryu interrupted.

"...Alright, but can I get some ramen first?"

"We'll get some later, lets take a walk. I need to stretch my legs," Ryu said. He walked towards the window, opened it, and crawled out. Hagurumon followed and they turned a corner into an alleyway. "This leads to the shopping district, it's pretty early, so there should be much traffic on the road we need to cross."

"For ramen!" Hagurumon said as he rushed ahead of Ryu.

The sound of a machine gun continously firing resonated in Leo's head.
"Ah! What is that?" Leo's eyes opened and frantically searched around his darkened room.
"What's wrong?" Quietly said the long-eared, green creature, Terriemon.
"Oh, Terriermon," Leo rushed over to his friend, "I-I had another one of those dreams." Leo breathed heavily, as sweat ran down his face. Leo still had to remember it was still midnight, and he had to be moderately quiet.
"Not another," Terriermon jumped at the room's light switch, "d-do you think that your dreams could really happen to me? I mean if I really become that way-"
"Don't think that way Terriermon, its just - ah let's just go back to sleep." Leo then slowly closed his eyes, for fear of having the dream - of his friend, Terriermon, causing so much mayhem.

The next day, Leo got up wearily, and prepared for school - with Terriermon hiding in his backpack of course.
"Okay buddy, let's try not to think of the dream - or rather, nightmare."
"Momentai Leo, momentai." Terriermon chuckled.
"Oh please don't say that again." Leo rolled his eyes sarcastically.

Rin looked at her "MP3" player and then lightly threw it up in the air and caught it again, an old habit that she certainly wasn't going to give up anytime soon. For now, Rin njust slid it back into her pocket and pulled her earphones from out of her collar and pulled her hair over them.
What? She loved to listen to music during class. Another old habit she wasn't willing to give up. And she made sure that the teachers wouldn't catch her or there'd be trouble.
But that's not where the problem lies, Rin thought. I mean Salamon keeps following me around which is really worrying. If someone finds out that these Digimon are real then who knows what would happen? I'm surprised Salamon hasn't been found out for three days but.... Why me? Why does Salamon follow me around?
"Answer the question Rin!" the teacher snapped at Rin.
"I didn't hear the question Miss," Rin quickly said while looking at the desk, hoping that the teacher wouldn't notice her earphones.
"You haven't been concentrating well lately, have you Rin?" the teacher said and continued. "You always never hear the questions and your mind never seems to be in class. I'll ring your parents tonight and tell them of your lack of participation in class."
I don't participate in class anyway, Rin thought but continued to look down at the desk and kept doing so until the teacher went away from her.
"Well she got busted," someone whispered to his friend. "I bet the teacher saw her MP3."
"Yeah," agreed the friend. "It kinda stands out against her hair. Stupid punk."
"Don't diss punks!" Arisu snapped. Arisu was probably the only oerson who actually stood up for Rin. But then again, Arisu was a punk herself.
"Uh sorry," the friend said to Arisu, intimidated by her.
Just like Salamon intimidates me, Rin thought as she looked out the window and saw the Digimon up in a tree branch watching her. Their eyes locked and Rin quickly looked down at her work with speed. Salamon just gave out a sigh. Were humans always this insociable?

It was luchtime and Rin had locked herself in a toilet cubicle so she could be somewhere where Salamon wasn't chasing her. Not that it worked since Salamon jumped into the cubicle.
"What are you doing?!" Rin shouted. "I might have actually been going to the toilet you know!"
"Stuff the toilet and your bladder!" Salamon said in a nearly snappy voice. "We're needed. Now.So come on or do I have to drag you?"
The people who were within hearing range were pretty confused. Luckily they didn't exactly know what Rin sounded like since she barely ever talked, so Rin was safe from any.... ideas.
Rin, of course, gave in since she had a feeling Salamon was onto something. She followed Salamon out of the school, it wasn't like she had ever snuck out of school at lunchtime before, even though it was always a trip to the dairy, and the two rounded a corner. They actually only had to cross about two streets to get to where Salamon was.
"Are they...?" Rin tried to ask, completely in shock at what she saw.
"Yup," Salamon said. "They're Digimon. And that kid over there, he's just like you. And we need to help them!"
Salamon ran over to the boy and other Digimon but Rin didn't. She was pretty much frozen with shock. She had never thought that there was more than one Digimon.

 

[Prongs]

Nyck and Guilmon where training in the backyard of Nyck`s house. Guilmon was trying to hit some rocks Nyck was trowing in the air. Some of them he would hit, some of them he would and this led to Nyck shouting at him.

"Come on Guilmon, I know you can do it" shouted Nyck trowing another rock in the air.
"Pyro Sphere" shouted Gilmon and a sphere of fire shot towards the rock distroying it.
"Good Guilmon, good, now..." but Nyck never got to finish cause something hit him and he was trowen against a tree.
"Whats that Guilmon?" asked Nyck geting up.
"Kamemon" responded Guilmon angry.
"Is he bad?" asked Nyck
"I don`t really know... but he attacked you he will have to fight against me... Pyro Sphere" the sphere of fire shot towards Kamemon but this digimon got into his shell and the attack didn`t do anything. Just then Kamemon shot a green arrow from his helmet. Guilmon almost dodged it but was hit in the arm.
"Rock Breaker" and Guilmon shot towards the other digimon with his claws on fire, ready to attack. Kamemon got into his shell again but this time the attack did more damage and Kamemon was trowen against a building, immedietly he came back out of his shell and Guilmon attacked again "Pyro Sphere" and this time the attack hit hard and Kamemon was damaged preaty hard.

"Stop... if you think you cand beat me, think again" and Kamemon disapeard.
"What the?" asked Nyck
"Don`t know" responded Guilmon, just then they heard somebody shout, it was coming from the city, so the 2 of them started running towards the source.

"Oh man, Terriermon should have been more careful." Leo mmurmured, as he watched his friend run down the hall from the history teacher. Every single one of his classmates were in amazement at the green, dog creature (although, his classmates claimed it as a rabbit). They all stepped out of the room to observe the chase. Terriermon hopped around rather than running, seeing as his legs were short. C'mon Terriermon, I know you can fly - right?, Leo thought to himself.
The teacher's hands nearly got to Terriermon until, a loud growl resonated from outside the school. Terriermon then jumped out the side door, and headed for the sound - and Leo knew he had to too.
Once outside, Leo caught up with Terriermon, "Leo, its another digimon, but not one that is necessarily, good."
"Well, let's try out scanning it, it worked with scanning you, so-" Leo was then interrupted.
"Enough, just scan!" Terriermon's expressiong changed quickly to complete anger.
"Its a Saberdramon, attacks are-" Leo was then cut off (yet again).
"Forget attacks, its time for me to fight!" Terriermon slowly changed shape, light engulfing him, soon, he formed to what Leo had feared in his dreams.
"Terriermon, if you knew that you would become-"
"I know, but I can control it - hopefully, oh, just call me Gargomon." The hunting dog digimon, with jet black guns for arms said in a still similar voice to his rookie form (obviously).
"Umm ok," Leo scanned Gargomon's attacks, "Gargo pellets!". Gargomon followed the command, and aiming it at the Saberdramon, then, he unleashed the barrage of bullets. Unfortunately, the bullets were still a bit off, and missed.
"Ugh, you can do it Gargomon!" Leo called to Gargomon, who moved his arms to aim better. then, some of the bullets hit the wing, just as he ran out of ammo.
As the bird digimon fell to the ground, it attempted to attack as it fell towards Gargomon, but its wings were damaged too much.
"Let's finish this, bunny pummel!" As soon as Leo called it, Gargomon landed the punch in the form of an uppercut. Slowly, the huge Saberdramon slowly dissapated into nothing, "Gargomon, what happened to that digimon?"
"It was, let's say, deleted, we digimon are well, digital." Gargomon then slowly formed into his rookie form.
Then, Leo checked the time, it was already lunch, but as Leo snuck back into school (obvioulsy it probably would not help, seeing as the teacher must have realised his disappearance).
"Leo, its another one!" Terriermon called out. Leo then looked towards the downtown area...

Pat looked behind himself to see the girl and her Digimon. The Harpymon were still coming. It seemed whenever Dorumon or Veedramon took one down, two more emerged. Pat noticed they were coming from an abandoned factory, so he decided to take them out at the source.

"Hey, you two," Pat shouted. "If you want to help, bring them over into that factory." Pat looked behind to find a Harpymon right on his back. He started to run, but it was obvious he wasn't going to make it.

"Wind Seeker!" It shouted. It summoned a gust of wind, then fired it combined with dart-like feathers. just as it was about to hit Pat, Dorumon stepped in the way.

"Dorumon, digivolve to..." Dorumon started to glow, this time, it was taking a new shape. "Dorugamon!" The feathers bounced off of it's hide. It looked almost exactly like Dorumon, except much larger, and with larger wings. Pat took his digivice to it.

"Dorugamon: Champion level Dragon Digimon. Vaccine, attacks are Power Metal and Cannon Ball." Pat looked happy at the new creature. "Yeah man! Let's take them back to where they came from!"

"Power Metal!" Dorugamon fired several metal orbs from it's mouth. Several Harpymon were destroyed in the process. The rest started to retreat toward the factory. "Hey kid!" Pat looked at the girl and her Salamon again. She seemed familiar, although he couldn't figure out where he saw her before. "Umm, could you give me a hand with this?"

Meanwhile, in the Digital World, the Devidramon returned, it approached a tower in the middle of a putrid marsh. A large crocodile emerged from the water.

"What business have you at our tower?" The crocodile asked.

"I have news for you and the other Demon Lords, master Leviamon," The Devidramon replied.

Leo and Terriermon ran as hard as they could (Terriermon hung onto Leo's neck), as they knew something was going on. As the two approached the source of the noise, they came across numerous bird-like human.

"Ah great, more bird digimon!" Leo gritted his teeth. He saw that inside a rather old factory nearby, that fighting took place.

"Uhh Leo, I'm not sure about fighting just yet, I don't think I can handle taking on these enemies as my rookie form." Terriermon quietly said

"Why can't you become Gargomon again? Oh wait, you must be quite tired, sorry." Leo then stopped and scanned the digimon. Leo whipped out his green digivice from his pocket, "Ok, the digimon are Harpymon, they seem quite strong." Leo
thought long and hard what to do.

"Leo! Watch out!" Terriermon alerted Leo about an incoming Harpymon. Just in time, Leo was able to dodge it, but Terriermon had a different plan. He had jumped onto Harpymon's back and started attacking it.

"Bunny blast!" Terriermon spewed out a concentrated energy blast from its mouth, directly onto the back of the Harpymon, but the small blast just pushed Terriermon off the bird digimon, who was barely hurt. Terriermon soften the blow of falling by gliding with his wings, but was too weakened, and continued to plummet to the ground.

"Terriermon!" Leo jumped foward to catch his friend, but as he caught him, a Harpymon swooped down tackling Leo down. It was at this time that Leo wanted Gargomon to come and help, but Terriermon was still too weakened.

"C'mon..." Terriermon tried his best to digivolve, and quick, as Terriermon saw blurred images of Harpymon approaching...

After a few minutes of walking and chatting, Ryu and Hagurumon arrived at a street. Ryu looked both ways; not a car in sight. The two quickly ran across and reached the oppisite alleyway, hopefully not attracting any attention. The two walked at little longer and exited the alleyway. They came to an intersection and Ryu said aloud, "Guess we took a wrong turn..."

"How could we take a wrong turn! The was only one path!" Hagurumon yelled in rage.

"No, I know where we messed up, lets go ba-" Ryu began to say, but stopped abruptly. He spotted a large group of white feathered, winged humanoid creatures. Ryu looked in a combination of awe and fear and asked Hagurumon, "Uh, do you know what THOSE are?"

Hagurumon directed his attention at the Harpymon and gasped. "Harpymon! They're Digimon like me!"

"I think we should turn aroun-"

"No! There are people over there! And...THEY HAVE DIGIMON!" Hagurumon yelled in Ryu's ear. Ryu spotted Pat, Dorugamon, Abel, Veedramon, Rin, and Salamon amongst the Harpymon.

Ryu paused and said,"...Lets help them, do you think you can do anything?"

"Oh yeah I can! Hagurumon Digivolve to-" Hagurumon said and began glowing. He swelled in size and became human shaped. When the glowing stopped, he was a large, red-bronze colored, metal man with large fists. "-Guardromon!"

Ryu looked at him with awe as he pointed his fists at the Harpymon. A pair of launchers came out of his fore arms. With a yell of "Gaurdian Barrage!" a pair of missles lauched out and hit the crowd of Harpymon, causing a few to vanish.

 

[Burning Effigy]

"Veedramon let's head over to the warehouse. We can wait at the entrance for those two, and deal with a few more harpymon."

The blue dragon and his partner weaved there way towards the warehouse. As they got close a swarm of harpymon surrounded them.
"Can you handle them?"

"No, there are too many," Veedramon said looking a little worried. "I can only take a few of them. If that salamon and dorugamon weren't already in trouble we could handle these guys"

As the two were making there plan one of the harpymon attacked veedramon from behind. The blow knocked him to his knees.

"Veedramon are you okay?"

"Yes I'm fine it was just a cheap shot."

Have you noticed that they only seem to swarm to attack us if we get close to the factory?"

Veedramon answered slightly annoyed, "No, I haven't noticed i am a little busy with these things. I just need someone to cover my back."

 

[Bandana]

"Sorry!" Salamon shouted accross to the boy who had asked for help. "She seems a bit in shock! Worse than what she was when she met me..."
Rin was in shock. Suddenly there seemed to Digimon everywhere. It was frightening enough when it was just Salamon but now there was.... well how was she supposed to know their names? Se only learned the word Digimon a few days ago from Salamon.
Salamon, on the other hand, seemed pretty excited that there were other Digimon.
"Puppy Howling!" Salamon let out a howl and caught most of the Harpymon's attention.
"Come on Rin," Salamon said as she turned to her partner. "We need to get them to the factory like the human said!"
Rin slowly nodded but her eyes were fixed on the Harpymon who were looking at Salamon a bit angry at her last attack. But she stayed still.
"Come on!" Salamon urged Rin as she started to pull on Rin's shoelaces, she had to wear sneakers to school sadly.
Rin blinked and actually realised that the Harpymon were coming at her too since it was obvious she was affiliated with Salamon.
"Uh..." Rin tried to think but wasn't doing too well with it.
"The factory!" Salamon reminded Rin a bit loudly. "Lure the goddamn things over to the freakin' factory!"
Rin gave Salamon a weird look, never seeing the Digimon this serious before, but she started running over to the factory like the boy had suggested. Rin stopped after a few metres to look behind her, a Harpymon basically came face to face with her.
"Aaah!" Rin screeched. "Get away from me you chicken!"
And while saying the last line, Rin clutched her hands together and hit the Harpymon across the face.
"Sledge Crash!" Salamon headbutted the Harpymon before it struck Rin. The Harpymon was thrown a bit away from Rin and Salamon, who were outside the factory now. Salamon looked up at Rin and grinned.
"I never saw you as a person that would hit a Digimon across the face," Salamon said. "It seemed to have shocked te Harpymon. Now come on, we're.... Oh no...."
Rin looked at where Salamon was looking and her eyes widened. About four Harpymon were cornering them up against the factory wall.
"Well this is gonna be fun," Salamon said with a hint of sarcasm as she rolled her eyes, bracing herself for the attack.

 

[Burning Effigy]

"Veedramon I know we're tied up at the moment, but can you get an attack across to help that girl out?" Abel asked worried about her safety.

Veedramon tried to figure a way how to do what he had been asked.
"Sure were only surrounded," more than a little sarcasm was in veedramon's voice."Cutter Shoot." Veedramon sliced the air sending strong airwaves towards the four harpymon surrounding the salamon and her partner. The attack knocked the harpmon out freeing the girl up.

Abel knew that the salamon was only a rookie and didn't have much of a chance against the harpymon."Are you two okay? Get into the factory right now we'll be fine. By the way the name's Abel," Abel shouted above the tons of harpymon.

"Abel are you done flirting we're still in a situation here," Veedramon had never lost his concentration. He was still trying to figure a way to defeat the harpymon, and get into the warehouse. He understood that he needed help, but wasn't ready to give up.

While the fight was going on, two kids were on the roof of the factory. They looked like twins, except one had blue hair and the other had green. The blue haired kid pulled out a dark-blue digivice and aimed it near the door of the factory. A gate opened, sucking the Harpymon in like a vaccuum. Within a minute at most, the Harpymon were gone.

"C'mon Azu," The green haired kid said. "They probably spotted us for sure."

"E-Bon, calm down," The blue haired kid replied. "They can't see us from up here. Let's get out of here, Zhao and Bai are waiting for us." Pat looked up to see the two kids vanish into the gate. He said nothing about it to the others.

"So, there are more children then we thought," Daemon said. "You have done well, Devidramon."

"What Digimon did the kids have on them?" Barbamon asked.

"There was a Dorumon, a Veedramon, and a Salamon," Devidramon replied. "Those were all I could see before I was sent back."

"We have our work cut out for us," Lillithmon replied. "Only two of us can pass through the gate, I say we send those two out."

"Patience," Lucemon said calmly. "I need to gather my strength to go through, so for now, Beelzemon should."

"Shut yer' trap!" Beelzemon shouted. He devolved to an Impmon. "Give me a few days, and I'll have all the info you need."

 

[Burning Effigy]

"Where did all the harpymon go?"Abel looked around confused. "Dorumon boy do you know what just happened?
Veedramon shrank back to his veemon form. "I was just about to finish them all too," veemon said trying to act like he did everything.
"Do you know why those digimon attacked us?"Abel ignored veemon to question the other boy again. "I guess it's not fair if I ask you all these questions you probably don't know more than me. So, lets start over," Abel extended his hand to the other boy. "Hey, my name's Abel, and this is veemon."

 

[Bandana]

"Huh?" Salamon looked up at the Harpymon being sucked into a gate-like thing. Rin looked up and saw it too, but chose to not say anything. Unlike Salamon who started saying stuff extremely fast.
"Ohmygodwherearetheharpymongoingandarewegonnagetsuckedintooandohmygodwe'regonnadie!" Salamon said extremely fast as she kept looking at the gate but Rin picked her Digimon up and stroked it's fur.
"Where'd they go Salamon?" Rin asked her Digimon quietly. "What is going on?"
"What?" Salamon replied. "Don't tell me I'm your information booklet! I barely know what's going on myself. Hmm.... Oi!"
Salamon jumped out of Rin's arms and trotted over to the other Digimon. Well she had to see what was going on exactly.
"Okay! What's going on here?" Salamon asked the other Digimon. "Where did those things go and since when was there more than one human involved? Did I miss a briefing or something because--"
Somewhere in the distance a bell rung. Rin gasped and started running but quickly turned to Salamon and the others.
"I'm sorry!" Rin called out to them. "I have to go to school or I'll be in more trouble!"
Rin ran off around the corner back to her school. By the looks of it she could just make up a believable lie why she was a few minutes late for Maths."
"Hey hey hey!" Salamon shouted. "Rin! Oh run off then.... So," Salamon turned back to the other Digimon, "What exactly is going on? And don't mind her, she's weird."

 

[Prongs]

Nyck saw a boy with a digimon to, he started running towards him with Guilmon right besides him, he saw that more and more bad digimons started disapearing. Nyck stoped right behind the other boy:

"Hey you, do you know what happened here? whats happening? where all all those digimons coming from?" asked Nyck in a hurry and than sat down to get his breath from all this running. Guilmon wasn`t that tired so he stode his ground, seeking other digimons to hunt down in case they came back.

BIC: "Gah, not again." Jason had been playing the computer game for a while, and was getting frustrated. He had introduced Patamon to his Mum and Dad, who had been frightened at first, but gradually came to accept him. "We should go outside." Patamon said. He went on to say "For all we know, there could be other Digimon. I could swear I saw a Salamon yesterday." "Fine. Let's go." Jason grabbed Jackie out of his cage, and put him in his jumper. "Hey, Jason, what's that?" "Oh, that's my pet. His name is Jackie." "He's kinda cute!"

The two continued to go outside. "Patamon, where are you from?" "Well, I can't remember, although, I remember something about being in an egg." "Oh? An egg? Okay. I'll show you the parts of the city I know... What is that?" "EEEEK!! HARPYMON!!" The Harpymon began to launch numerous Wind Seekers at the pair, while they were running away. "BOOM BUBBLE!" Patamon attacked the Harpymon, however he didn't do much damage. "Patamon, I don't think that worked." "I don't either, let's run." "Yes, lets." They began to run again. coming to a dead end. "Well Patamon, it was nice knowing you." "You too Jason." The Harpymon fired a Wing Seeker, which came hurtling towards Patamon and Jason.

"Cannon Ball!" Dorugamon shouted. It slammed into the Harpymon as they dissolved. "And that takes care of the stragglers." Dorugamon transformed back into Dorumon. "Wow, what a workout!" Pat turned to the others, Abel still had his hand extended.

"Oh, yeah," Pat said. "My name is Pat Smith, and this is my partner, Dorumon. You're probably wondering what's going on. Those creatures came from the Digital World, much like our partner Digimon did. However, they have been employed by an evil group known as the Seven Demon Lords. I don't know much about them. All I learned was from a few renegade Digimon I interogated over this past week. All I know is they are powerful, and evil. There is a net over the gates to the digital world which keep the Demon Lords in the Digital World, and they want it down. So they get weaker Digimon to come here to try and take the barrier down from our end. We have partner Digimon for the sole purpose of stopping this evil. They can get much stronger than they already are."
