Overview:
Somewhere in a world, there is a core of it. A heart, you may call it. It holds each and every fragment of a world. It archives each person’s story from the beginning to the end… It holds positive emotions of courage, kindness, friendship, and negative emotions of revenge, hatred, distrust. It is the very nexus of life; the very heart of all beings…
There are things in each world that mustn’t be discovered… Such as the heart of the worlds… The centre of a world is sealed away by a door, a gate, to never be opened again, for so it has been said and should ever be.
For as long as anyone can remember, there have always been two worlds. Many thought the world, the universe they lived in was the only one. They were wrong. There were two worlds, the Normal World and another world of majestic creatures and a world a digital magic, two universes so similar, so identical. This other world of digital majesty and surreal fantasy was called the Digital World. In the beginning of time, when matter spun and wove itself into the two worlds, that is when it was created.
The Normal World and the Digital World. This Digital World that co-exists with the ‘Normal’ World is home to a myriad of races of fantastical creatures called Digimon. These Digimon were not much different form us apart from one great difference: they possessed fantastical, unreal, even deadly supernatural powers. Their powers range from the ability to levitate a small teaspoon to the power to cause a Hurricane, even to take lives in mass numbers with the simple flick of a finger. Creatures of fantasy, of power, of destiny. Young Digimon were capable of ‘Digivolving’ into higher forms. They were intelligent, and they spoke in a language understandable by most humans.
The two worlds have co-existed for many centuries; some times being more peaceful than others. Nevertheless, we were only separated by a thin barrier of data streams and somehow the two worlds managed to keep relatively sound harmony. Although some do good and right, some Digimon are corrupted into darkness, seduced by evil. Their souls fall into the deep chasms of darkness, trapped in the void of sin and called to do the bidding of evil. These Digimon threatened the worlds: they subsisted on pure malice and evil, prepossessing unholy powers. Such dangers could not be kept unchecked.
Of course, darkness also engenders light, and thus Angelic Digimon also existed, chosen to save both the Digital World and the Real World. The leader of the Angel Digimon were a group of seven powerful divine fair Digimon known as the Seven Divine Celestials. Each of the Seven had a DigiCORE, and the seven cores together empowered the Seven Celestials and upheld the light of the Digital World. Together, these seven DigiCORES were called “The Septal Spectrum”, or simply “Spectrum”. Under the rule of the Seven Celestials, the Digital World flourished with peace, harmony, and prosperity.
Within each of the Divine Virtue embedded great power to save the worlds and defeat the impending darkness. The Spectrum upheld the pillars of light in the Digital World. And that is what the Spectrum did. The Celestials united their armies and soon vanquished the evil threatening the worlds, whenever the fragile balance of power was threatened. Without the Spectrum, the darkness that resides at the heart of the Digital World would erupt and threaten the fabrics of reality.
But there is no world and no society without its revolutionaries. During the reign of the Seven Celestials, a supreme Digimon called GranDracmon offered the Seven Divine Celestials a proposition. GranDracmon possessed a fervent zeal in Digimon: his wishes to preserve the peace were ascendent. In his passion, he believed the Normal World, teeming with humans, was corrupt and that Humanity was a threat to the sanctity of the Digital World. Hence, GranDracmon argued that for the preservation of the status quo, the Seven Celestials should eradicate the Human World.
Obviously, the Seven were horrified. So they declined and exiled GranDracmon into the Dark Area that lay at the heart of the Digial World. Within this treacherous void, GranDracmon went insane and lost his thoughts. Soon, his hatred to humans and the Human World expanded to the hatred of the Celestials and their Spectrum. An unquenchable thirst to destroy the forces of light consumed very nerve and became his reason of being.
Thus, this creature mastered and seized the power of darkness and came to rule the Dark Area.
Fuelled by hatred, GranDracmon rallied up the forces of darkness and launched an attack on the Spectrum. After a drawn-out battle, the Seven Divine Celestials fell and pillars of light fractured. The Spectrum was destroyed, its fragments lost to the aether. With a foul swoop, a cloud of darkness, like a plague, shrouded the Digital World and filled the lands with stench of carnage.
Without the Celestials, the forces of darkness were too strong. Something had to be done. So with the help of Gennai the Scholar, the last bastion of the Celestials' armies devised a plan. The idea was the call the help of humans. The “Chosen Children” or DigiDestined might possess the potential to re-gather the seven lost shards of the Spectrum and defeat the impending darkness. Perhaps these humans would be able to bring balance to a ruined world.
But the DigiDestined had to be called soon. The Chosen Human Children were to be called for the first time. Their Digimon and Digivices were already ready for the children. But the clock was ticking and if they didn’t succeed soon, GranDracmon’s Final Plan will come to fruition and it would be too late for both the Digital World and the Human World…
Summary:
You are one of the DigiDestined and you have recently been received emails from some anonymous person. You don’t know Digimon exist. You don’t even know about any other worlds apart from your own. Your goal is to defeat various Virus Digimon who are currently ruling the sections of the Digital World which they have invaded, thwart GranDracmon’s Final Plan, and reunite the seven shards of Spectrum. Your adventure starts in the Human World, where you are using your computer and will have your first encounter with the Digital World…
DigiDestined: Us. Chosen humans who work with Digimon to save the Digital World from impending chaos and/or destruction.
Digivice: A small handheld device, which allows you to cause Digivolution in your partner Digimon.
The type we use is the standard Digimon Adventure One Edition.
Spectrum Shards: Throughout your journey, you will collect the seven shard of Spectrum. There are seven Shards, one for each colour of the electromagnetic spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. This serves to upgrade your Digivice, allowing your Digimon to access higher levels of power. Each player will only be allocated one Shard. You will need to find your Shard and discover the mystery of how to Activate it before you can access Ultimate and Mega Evolutions.
--
In the Digital World:
In their roleplay, each player will specify the actions they wish to perform, and like with other RPGs, the success of these actions will be determined by dice rolls and will be affected by your Digimon's current condition. High Offence will allow your Digimon to successfully execute an attack, while High Agility can allow to move quickly to another grid or area.
Also, players must keep nourished and must sleep. If your thirst and hunger levels are not satiated, there will be ramifications to both your Digimon and your character.
--
Basic rules:
1.) No God-Modding or 'invincible' players.
2.) I have the right to expel or refuse anyone who does not meet my standards.
3.) You have a right to know why I am expelling/refusing you.
4.) I expect you to at least skim each person’s post so you know what is happening. There is nothing more annoying than when someone defeats a certain Digimon in their post, and the next person posts saying that their character is fighting the certain Digimon. Please read.
5) If you are going to swear excessively, post a warning at the top of your post please. I don’t mind swearing if it is appropriate for that situation, but no needless swearing please.
6) The Combat Mechanism will be based upon a series of stats assigned to your Digimon. These stats include: Offence, Agility, Defence, Intelligence, Survivalism. Stats will be determined by the GM and will be given to you when your Digimon first Digivolves. Although most of you will survive, one of your Digimon will die during the Plot. Who that will be is to be determined at the a later day, with a private consulation with the player in question.
7.) Try to post at least once every week. Short posts are acceptable. I simply don't want this to die as soon as it starts. If we're waiting on your character and more than a week has passed, the Host has permission to briefly RP as your character until you come back.
8.) In order to Digivolve, you will need to firstly find your Shard and also find the emotion linked to that Shard. Similar to Crests, Shards will have a predetermined emotion linked to each other. Your character must discover and feel this emotion in order to Activate the Shard. The Activation process is part of the central mysteries to this RPG, although the Host will give you plenty of hints to discover it.
9.) Enjoy yourself.

I am cracking down on grammar, length and depth in this RPG. I will not, I repeat, not accept anyone who I feel cannot uphold to my grammar and RPG’ing standards.
Also, to prove you actually READ these rules, you'll have to say "Spectrum Activate" on the top of your Sign-Up. If you don't, I'll know if you actually read the rules or not.
