Digimon:
The New Order

RP by Requiem's Eclipse

Unknown Server

ZeedMillenniummon floated motionlessly in the abyss, waiting for his loyal servant to arrive. He viewed the real world through small screens floating in front of him. Each screen showed 9 children, all differing in age and background. A small smirk went across both of his faces as he imagined the suffering he would put these children through.

He stared at each of them for an equal amount of time before moving to the next. He learned each of there names from spying on them. Hitomi, Ames, Aurora, Jazz, Seffie, Pippa, Maxwell, Matt and Leonardo. Not one could trump his power. Not one can destroy him, not one. He simply made a disgusted expression because of their assumed weakness. He could have taken the digital world already but, taking these children out will be so much more amusing.

A small dark cloud materialized a few yards in front of ZeedMillenniummon. Then a small vortex began to grow from the center of the cloud and Mephistomon materialized from it.

"Lord ZeedMillenniummon, scouts near the Sovereign's hideout report 9 strange beams of light launching up into the air," Mephistomon said almost robotic.

ZeedMillenniummon smirked, dismissed the screens and floated to the right of the dark server. Mephistomon followed behind him dutifully. They came to three dormant digimon floating in the server, each very noticeable simply by their silhouette. Wendigomon, Devidramon and DarkTyrannomon. ZeedMillenniummon simply nodded at Mephistomon and then fell into the darkness behind him.

"Understood," Mephistomon nodded as his master drifted away into the darkness. He awoke each digimon by simply touching them. Each of them let out a large roar as they awoke. They began to lunge for Mephistomon before he sent a large ball of charged darkness their way. It silenced them immediately. "Your targets...." he motioned them toward the 9 screens, he re-summoned, of the 9 children"...are these children take them out by any means necessary". Mephistomon then opened up his vortex and three others for the other three digimon. Mephistomon watched as Devidramon, Wendigomon and DarkTyrannomon all entered their vortex. "Let the games begin," Mephistomon muttered as he entered his vortex. The unknown server was now empty.

ChaosSpiral Mountain
Home of The Order

Four digimon made of pure darkness sat on their thrones high a top of the newly formed ChaosSpiral Mountain. The four, ChaosGallantmon, Lilithmon, DexDorugoramon and finally ChaosPiedmon sat in wait for their leader's return to his throne. One, however, wasn't content with his position. That one was ChaosPiedmon. Once again, he was pushed to the side for a bigger and more sinister digimon, whom he thought was Mephistomon. He got more irritated as the minutes rolled on. He couldn't stand it. He wanted to be the leader, he wanted to rule, he didn't want to continue being a subordinate.

"When the hell is Mephistomon going to get here? He is taking fashionably late far too long!" ChaosPiedmon yelled so that his voice echoed throughout the halls of their castle. Lilithmon glared over at him, with her legs crossed playing with a small digimon's tail, whom she had killed earlier that day in her right hand.

"Oh ChaosPiedmon, just because you weren't able to take care of those Digidestined the first time, doesn't mean you can be all rude to our master," She said in her usual flirty tone, but with a hint of passive aggresive annoyance. ChaosPiedmon, at first, was enraged by her answer but, simply rested his head on his hand while flicking a knife at Lilithmon, cutting off part of her hair. Lilithmon snapped and sent one of her razor sharp ribbons at his face, however, he dodged it in time. Piedmon was about to attack until ChaosGallantmon opened his mouth

"Why don't you two grow up and start acting like the Spawns of Darkness you're supposed to be acting like. You two are acting like pathetic children," he remarked with clear disgust on every word he spoke. ChaosGallantmon wan't too pleased with their antics and neither was DexDorugoramon who added, "You two should show some respect for the great Mephistomon," he said as he motioned to their master, who appeared in the entryway of their throne room.

"The time is near, the DigiDestined are going to enter the digital world soon." Mephistomon announced as he flew to his throne, the highest out of all of them, while looking at ChaosGallantmon, DexDorugoramon and Lilithmon. He totally ignored ChaosPiedmon, as he heard how ChaosPiedmon just disrespected him. "We will watch what these DigiDestined are capable of with our pets," he smirked as three screens materialized in front of all of their faces.

'You might think you're mighty now, Mephistomon but, I was the original leader of this legion and I will be the leader again' ChaosPiedmon thought to himself before watching the DigiDestined, who were still in the real world.

Upper East Side, New York City, New York, USA
Aurora "AJ" Jensen

Aurora couldn't believe it. She could not believe she just landed a modelling job in Paris in two weeks! She was so excited she bolted out of the Modeling Agency and ran straight home. Luckily they were only 7 city blocks apart so it was not that far at all, especially for a city kid like Aurora. Well, she wasn't exactly a kid. She was 18, which, by legal definition, was still a child. The perfect age to start a modelling career.

She bumped into, tripped over, knocked over, pushed just about everyone to go get to her house. She was running not because of excitement, but because, as usual, she was thirty minutes behind schedule but, somehow still managed to get to the Model Agency in time but, they kept her an extra 30 minutes because they were so interested in her. Little did Aurora know, there were a lot of other things that were interested her as well. She was surprised how fast it took her to get to her apartment complex. She got there in about half an hour...unheard of, record time for her, especially with all the craziness of the city and her helping anyone she pushed over. She thought it would be rude if she didn't help, even if it did make her late.

As she walked through the doors of her townhouse, she realized just how wiped out she was. It was early August, the dog days of summer so, she was sweating. Surprisingly actual beads of sweat were dripping on her forehead. She barely ever got that hot and so she walked up to her room and went straight for her air conditioner, not noticing anything around her. She plopped her messenger bag next to her and fell into the seat she strategically positioned in front of the air conditioner. After what seemed like 15 minutes, she cooled off and decided it was time for a shower. So she went in and did her thing, came out of the shower and found a strange magenta colored device on her nightstand next to her laptop. She walked over, totally perplexed on how it got there.

"Mom?! Are you home?" she yelled through the townhouse, no answer got back to her and so, she tried again. "Mom?!" again, nothing. So she realized her birthday was in a few weeks and thought, 'This must be some kind of birthday present!' she only thought this because her parents always give her her birthday gifts weeks in advance because they both become so busy in the fall.

Suddenly, a strange message came on the alien device that simply said, "Go to the Subway". She was kind of puzzle as to why the subway when last year it was a limo but she still listened to the message. So, she threw on her "casual summer chic" outfit which consisted of a crop top and some short shorts and off she went. As if almost spying on her, the device rung instantly as she walked into the subway terminal and now read a new message, "Take the 530 train" and she listened. It was 430 so she only had about an hour wait but, she didn't mind it.

The hour passed and the train came, nothing was peculiar about the train itself but, what was strange was that no one was really waiting for the train....just her. But, she thought maybe her parents were able to make it private for her and got on. It seemed like she was the only one on the train until the train went to 8 other stops. It was odd because it was going much faster then other trains in the subway also, it kept turning at odd points she went in circles multiple times and only saw kids board the train, kids she didn't even know. She started realizing something was very wrong but, it was too late. As the eighth child got on the train, it launched to about 120 miles per hour, way too fast for a subway train. What was worse the train got steadily faster, like it was going to break some sort of barrier. Almost on cue because of the G Forces, she passed out.

Jungle Terminal

Aurora felt an odd humid breeze filled with strange sweet smells. She kept her eyes closed, just reveling in the calm of this unknown area. She was content until she felt a strong force ram her in her stomach. The force woke her up and was enough to make her sit up. Once she actually got a view where she was, she was taken aback. She was in the clearing of a jungle, filled with multicolored plants, tall trees almost like the Amazon rain forest. Aurora couldn't shake the fact that it was all artificial, even though it was all as real as her town house in New York. She kept staring at the horizon until she felt a small tug on her shirt. She looked down, and nearly screamed but, she was paralyzed with fear. A small yellow bug with purple wings and, admittedly big baby eyes that were so cute but, at the same time she realized that it was a bee and let out a shriek.

"Oh sorry!!!," the bug apologized for scaring Aurora but, it talking scared her even more and suddenly she regained her ability to run and ran to edge of the clearing.

"Sorry!! My Name is Puroromon!! What's- Oh look! Flowers!" Puroromon flew to flowers right next to Aurora, who know finally realized what had been going on.

"....Puroromon......mon....Digimon....." she was putting two and two together. She remembered Diaboromon...the missile that was sent to Tokyo in Japan and somewhere in Colorado. even though she was only barely 10 she remembered it vividly. Then the Japanese children who saved them....she remembered watching it all on the Internet...that Digmon was Omnimon....and this Puroromon....was a digimon too. "So...um....Hi Puroromon, my name is...Aurora...but you can call me AJ," she was very hesitant to talk to Puroromon because well, it was a talking bee! Still, if it is a digimon, it's better to be friends with it, right?

"Aurora!?!??!" Puroromon shot up and tackled her. "I was looking for you!!!!!" he said, trying to hug her. She noticed a small necklace with a magenta symbol around his neck.

"What is that?!" she asked looking at it.

"It's for you! I don't know what it is, but I know it's for you." he said, as she took it off him and put it around her neck. The symbol glowed the second it was comfortably on. Her pocket started to glow as well because of the strange device in it. "Yes!!! We're partners!" Puroromon said gleefully but, his attention was being pulled away by flowers again. Aurora looked up toward were she was lying and found two other children with two small Digimon near them trying to wake up.....She was in the Digital World....and Puroromon was her partner....well today is getting much more interesting then she thought it was.

Somewhere in New York City
Max Trevena

Three bags were resting on Max's bed, one of them in the process of being filled with clothes. Max only sighed as he did this... chore.

He didn't want to go to this athlete school. Just because his father thought he was good at them, didn't mean he wanted to go. In fact, that was his main argument against going to said school. Unfortunately, his parents had made 'The Choice' move. Either he started talking again or he would go to the athlete school. He protested, but it was hopeless. His father had already made the decision, his mother was, by her words, 'proud of her soon to be famous athlete son' and the only loser here was him.

He sighed again. Life could be so cruel to an artist like him.

As he was reaching for another sweater, Max noticed a strange device. It was coloured grey, with all of it's buttons black.

'Odd,' he thought 'this wasn't here before...' he picked it up and read the message on it.

GO TO THE SUBWAY

The subway? For what? And what is this? So many questions filled Max's head, but with no answer to be found, he left his room, grabbed his leather jacket and his satchel, filled said satchel with writing supplies and left the house. The packing would have to wait.

The Subway

WAIT FOR THE 5:30 TRAIN

... That's what the second message said, when he arrived at the subway station. He looked around, to see if anyone was looking at him. Not a single person in sight.

Now this was getting creepy. How did the sender know he had just arrived, if no one was there to see? He quickly dismissed the thought that someone was stalking him. Instead, he looked at the subway clock.

5:29:58, 5:29:59, 5:30:00...

As if on cue, a train reached the station, opening it's door to show a single girl, a bit older than her, on it. He soon entered. Only when the doors closed and the train restarted moving again he realized something.

Besides him, the girl was the only person on the train. She looked just as confused as he probably was, so he simply sat down and waited for the train to stop at it's final destination.

After travelling at very high speeds, it made seven other stops, each one of them adding a passaenger to the train, all children. After the last stop, the train started speeding up incrediby. That's the only thing he remembers before passing out.

Digital World
Mountain Terminal

Maxwell slowly came to his senses after the insane train ride. Slowly, his eyes adjusted to the light and finally made the world less blurry.

If what he saw was real, he was with two other people in a Mountain Range that towered above them, as if they they were trying to touch the sky. However, to him, something wasn't right...

Something tugged at his pantleg. Slowly, he turned at the pantleg to see what it was.

If he wasn't so calm, he would've ran.

Tugging at his pantleg was a strange, albeit cute, fluffy white creature with stubby, hot pink legs, a tiny, hot pink, curled tail and floppy hot pink ears. The creature stared at him adorably with it's black bead eyes.

"Hello!" it barked adorably. "I'm Xiaomon!" Max simply nodded his head. Xiaomon simply barked again and fell on his back.

Xiaomon... That reminded him of some dream he had when he was younger, with some creature called a Digimon named Diaboromon. He saw it all through the Internet: the drama of the missile crisis, some Japanese kids, another Digimon named Omnimon. Now he was pretty certain that it wasn't just a dream.

"What's your name?" it asked, fiddling with a necklace around his neck. Max noted that the symbol on the necklace was a question mark sideways, with a grey coloration.

He hurriedly took out a note book and a pen from his satchel and started writing. After he finished, he showed it to the Digimon.

Xiaomon got closer and read it slowly. "My... nu...nu...name is... Ma...Maxwill...Maxwoll...Maxwell!" it tried to pronounce. 'Figures,' Max thought 'being a baby, it can't really read well.'

The puppy's face started shining with joy. "If your Maxwell, then I've got to give you this!" he grabbed the necklace and put it around Max's neck. In response, the device in Max's pocket started glowing. The pup's face got even brighter.

"Yay! We're partners, we're partners..." it chanted happily. Maxwell simply looked at the other two, who were still unconscious. Both of them also had Digimon trying to get their attention.

'I really regret following that message now...' he thought.

Sophi so silleh~
Centre of New York

Seffie stretched herself out on a wooden park bench as she was taking a short break from her rather mindless wandering. Originally, she had been out to go shopping for new clothes, but, as seemed rather usual for Seffie, she'd left her money behind at home. Sighing, she leant back and drooped her head over the back of the bench, hooking her arms up on the back too, essentially reserving the whole bench for herself. The city was so much different that what she was used to, a year ago when she still lived in Japan, she lived in more rural areas and it was even rare that she'd visit Shibuya. Despite being black and absorbing the heat of the sun, her tank-top and skinny jeans kept her rather cool still. The slight breeze helped, brushing her dyed blonde hair over her eyes, noticing a small clattering sound before she brushed the hair from her eyes.

Sitting up she believed she'd seen somebody drop something besides her bag, but when she picked it up and stood up to try and catch up to this person, she realised she was pretty much alone on her area of the park. Glancing at the device, she was taking in all the details. The shape really did remind her of a hand-taser. As if on cue, the screen lit up, telling her to head to the subway. Still believing that someone had dropped this when they walked past, she made the decision to go there and hoping this person was going there too, so she could give it back.

The subway:

She heard nothing else, and saw nothing else on the subject of the device until the very instance her foot hit the ground inside the subway. The small 'ding' drew her attention to it again and read to take a specific train. Part of her was getting a little suspicious now, but she was a rather athletic girl at least, so any trouble and she could likely get away unless she was outnumbered. Glancing to the timetable up ahead, she saw the exact place, and rushed over as she realised she pretty much had seconds to get there on time. The door was even closing as she sprinted through it. Her shoe lace however got caught in the door, grabbing her foot and making her fall face-first into the floor. Her hands were brought up, but she couldn't react fast enough. From her position, she rolled over and tried to pull her shoelace free, however before she could, she passed out, as many of the others on the train did, though she wouldn't know that yet.

Digi-City Ruins:

When Seffie awoke, she groaned and rolled over. Her mind was making her think that she was in bed, and as soon her hand went out to try and grab her normal stuffed bear she slept with. As she still hadnt fully regained awareness, she wasn't aware that the thing she'd grabbed was much smoother, but more importantly, was wriggling in her arms and shouting into the girls chest. A moment, and a short bite, later Seffie was awoken. "Ouch! The hell wa-" She cut out her words when she looked down and saw the small creature sitting on her chest. It was hard to think how she would describe it, other than blue, round, big eyed, and looked like it had a half inflated balloon on it's head.

"Watch it girl! You nearly smothered me!" The creature yelled. Seffie wasn't yet aware of her surroundings properly, she was too busy focusing on trying to work out what this thing was. "Just because I'm a Digimon doesn't mean I don't need to breath to," Everything suddenly clicked for Seffie then. She might have only been young those many years ago when Digimon appeared in Japan, but from that day her mother had been a little protective of any new species that was discovered.

"Oh! Y-Yeah. Sorry. Sleepy." Seffie excused herself as she began to glanced around. Meanwhile the Digimon jumped off her chest and bounced around, muttering 'where is it' over and over again, getting more frantic. "What's this by the way?" Seffie asked as she was holding onto a small necklace that she had grabbed off of the Digimon. It turned around and just seemed to glare at her.

"That's not for you!" It screamed and dived, trying to take the necklace back. Only Seffie interveined and slapped the thing.

"No snatching! That's rude," She chastised, but still handed it back over. Though a moment later it began to glow, a small engraving appearing on the tag.

"I... erm... I-I d-don't want it now. I-It's yours," The digimon said, blushing quite deeply as it seemed it was really embarrassed. "I-I'm sorry! I-I'm Moonmon! I-I'm really sorry Seffie I thought you were something else," Seffie just shook her head, putting the necklace around her, unable to really comprehend that it possibly wasn't hers. She stood up, groaning as her body felt stiff again. Glancing around, she noticed the area more closely was like a huge city. And she was lying in the middle of the road. But a little in the distance, she saw siloutettes, showing she wasn't alone.

The Shogunate
Matt Braken
The Big Apple

"Terrible. Just awful." Matt muttered these words to himself as he stormed his way out the theater. He bumped his way through the crowds who were leaving his showing, all of whom were laughing and talking about how funny the film was. Matt didn't care if he rammed into them on his way out, you had to be the lowest common denominator to laugh at garbage like that. Once he got outside the building he sighed, and took out a little notepad from his jacket pocket. Inside were a multitude of film's names jotted down, Matt whipped out his pencil, crossed off two of the titles, and jotted down a couple of rude remarks next to each. Then with a grunt, he put back both the pad and pencil, and began walking off furiously in the direction of his hotel. Looks like Hollywood wasn't going to stop churning out trash anytime soon, not in his book at least.

Matt Braken had come to New York City in search of something that would please his cultural tastes. So far he had found nothing. New York was nothing more than a city overhyped and overdone by hipsters and corporations. The clubs he had successfully snuck into were still cesspools of brainless dancing with garbage music blaring at you that sounded like Matt's modem if it made the noises of a dying cat, the films shown here were mostly no different than those back at home, and those that were weren't any good for the most part. The sights were nice, but why any city or company would waste money on something as gaudy as "The M&M Store" was beyond him. So far the only thing Matt could say that he actually liked about this city was the food, too bad dinner only comes once a day.

The walk from the Theater to the Hotel wasn't a long one, and good thing too. It was getting to be later in the day, and Matt didn't want to be on the streets of a large urban area alone at night. Much less the streets of New York City at night. Though this part of town probably wasn't bad, it was the cultural center, the place with the clubs and theaters. The part of the city where Matt could let his criticisms run wild. The hotel they were staying at was nice as well, clean, top shelf, room service was genuinely good. He walked through the double doors of the lobby and breathed in that cool indoor air. Better than the musty outside. With a brisk walk over to the elevators, Matt inserted his card, and prepared to go up.

Upon reaching his room, Matt flicked the light on, the cleaning lady had obviously been here, and what's more is that his Parents were not in the room at all. Probably still touring and seeing sights. Matt shuffled over to one of the beds and leaped onto it, sprawling himself out over the sheets. He prepared to pull out his Nintendo DS, but before he could, he was stopped by a strange noise. It sounded like a phone receiving a text, but it certainly wasn' the tone his phone made. He turned with a start, and noticed a strange device sitting on the nightstand between the beds. Its colors were Orange and Blue and looked like a Cell Phone, or a PDA, or something along those lines. Matt picked it up, probably was one of his Dad's things. Text scrolled at a sluggish pace across its black screen.

"Go to the subway?" He muttered to himself, and pondered for a moment. Then it hit him. Ha ha Dad, very funny. This was obviously his parent's dramatic way of trying to reach him. Matt shrugged, he didn't have anything better to do. But there had better be a Brooklyn Pizza waiting for him.

The Station
Matt growled as he tapped his foot to the ground repeatedly. Where was that accursed 5:30 train? The subway station was empty, which to him was surprising, one would think this is the time everyone is getting off work, and yet it was eerily just Matt. He checked his watch, 5:29. One more minute and the train would get here. As if on que, there was a familiar squealing of wheels on steel tracks, as the Subway bus came to a grinding halt before Matt. The Subway wasn't a new experience for him, out in Portland they had Light Rail trains which were like surface subways, the only thing different about this was that it was underground. The doors opened, though albeit with a bit of a struggle in the process, and Matt walked inside. He took a seat and gazed around without much care. There was an odd atmosphere to the car, maybe because it only had 3 other people in it, or maybe because it was occupied only by others his age. Whatever, it didn't phaze Matt too much. He merely looked at the ground and waited, a few stops were made, a few more people got on. More teenagers. Suddenly it was clear something was wrong, the Train was going at a blistering speed. Matt tried to get up to pull and emergency lever or something, but this was to no avail. It was too much for him, and before he could react, he was out stone cold.

Jungle Terminal
"Hey!" A high pitched voice echoed through Matt's head, as he opened his eyes. There was a bright light, and for a few seconds he couldn't see, the voice called to him again, "Hey you!" Matt closed his eyes, and turned. He was in a Jungle of some sort, which would explain the boiling heat and the unrestrained sun, he sort of shook his head in bewilderment. There was a long pause as he tried to figure out what in god's name happened when he heard the voice again.

"Uhhh, mister? Can you hear me?" Matt turned, and faced a little fuzz ball, with a rather large blade sticking out the top of its head. Matt's eyes bulged, and he didn't say a word. His face contorted into one of confusion, fear and then finally realization. He slowly, and without showing any emotion, reached over to his arm to pinch himself.

Nope. He was awake. There went his idea.

"All right fuzzball, mind explaining to me where the hell I am?" Matt asked quickly, he didn't know if acting rudely to the thing with the blade coming out its head was the best course of action, but he was going to get some answers.

"Woah woah, no need to get so harsh guy. The name's Tsunomon, and you're in the Jungle Terminal, a fine and musky area of the Digital world!"

"The Digital World." Matt said, this had to be some sort of joke. But he couldn't help but feel that name was familiar. Was it from a movie?

"Yeah! The Digital World! Home of Digimon!" Digimon? Matt was suddenly piecing everything together rapidly.

"Wait, digimon? You're those things from that Tokyo newscast all that time ago! So you're telling me that wasn't a giant hoax?"

"Hoax? I'm as real as can be man! What's your name anyway?" Matt stood up, brushing himself off. He spoke with a very slight shake in his voice, this was all very unsettling for him.

"It's uh, Matt. Matt Braken."

"Matt? OH DUDE! You're my Partner! We're a team!" And at that moment there was a glowing in Matt's pocket, taking it out he found the Device, the one from the hotel room, giving off an orange light. As if to confirm what Tsunomon had just said. "Also take this little dohickey!" Out of nowhere Tsunomon headbutted a small little necklace at Matt, who slightly shook his head and put it around his neck slowly.

The Portlander was visibly shocked and rattled, but tried his best to contain himself while speaking.
"Alright then, Partner, how about you tell me how I get out of this place? Sorry, but I have a dinner appointment with my parents and I don't really feel like playing B.S. Jungle Adventures right now. " Tsunomon seemed confused,

"Uh, you can't get out dude. You're here for a reason. An adventure!" the little fuzzball bounced up and down with joy as he explained. Matt wasn't amused,

"An adventure? Oh. I guess I didn't get that memo."

"Come on Mr.Grumpypants!" Matt winced at the digimon's choice of words, "It'll be fun! Besides, there are other Kids with you, so you won't feel so alone!"

"Other...kids?" Matt turned around and saw two other children, both from the Subway getting up slowly with digimon of their own.

"Oh joy of joys." He said under his breath.

Leo Silverstone
Subway Station

Leo stood in the crowded subway station, talking on his cell phone. Although it was almost impossible to hear anything with all the noise, he could still make out his younger sister's voice on the other end. He was on his way to pick her up from the airport when she came home from her fancy boarding school in England. She hadn't even gotten on the plane yet. He was leaving early, because subway rides tended to take their sweet time getting anywhere. "Hey sis, how's England."

The voice on the other end was filled with obviously feigned enthusiasm, and dripping with sarcasm. "It's awesome! The people are amazing, and it's always bright and sunny here. You know what else they have? Magical flying unicorns! They give them away as pets. Isn't that wonderful?!"

"Heh, that bad huh? Anyway, I'm looking foward to seeing you too. I'll be the one picking you up, see you soon ok, bye." He clicked the phone shut and looked around, his train still hadn't arrived yet. He also saw a mysterious figure walk by, and drop something. Leo picked it up, and tried to find the guy that dropped it, but they were gone. Leo tilted his head, "Huh, that was weird." he then looked at the thing he had just picked up. A weird green and white device that seemed pretty hard for someone to accidently lose. Then the screen lit up with the words, "YOUR TRAIN'S HERE" in digital letters. As if on cue, a train magically appeared on the tracks. Once it came to a complete stop, a bell rung, and the doors opened. "Wow..." were the only words that left the young man's mouth as he boarded the train. This was becoming way too creepy for his liking.

And it was about to get even creepier. The train was completely empty. Well, empty compared to the crowd outside, there only a few others on the train. All of them looked to be close to his age. Leo was beginning to think this was not his ride, but the vehicle had already sped off before he even had a chance to get off. And it was only getting faster too. Trians aren't supposed to be going this fast! Before Leo could react, let alone call for help, he passed out.

Jungle Terminal

For a moment, everything was dark and quiet. The quiet part was interupted by a high pitched feminine voice. "Hey mister! You dead?" Leo also felt a poking sensation at his side.

Leo slowly got up, stretched his arms, and yawned loudly. Then that voice spoke again. "Yaaay! You're not dead!" Leo looked to see who was speaking to him, and he saw a small creature that looked like a spiky green plant. It even had a leaf for a tail. "Hi, I'm Budmon." She said with a smile. "What might your name be?"

Leo didn't quite know what to make of this, but one thing was certain, this Budmon was absolutely adorable. "You are just so cute!" He shouted as he grabbed the poor creature, and started squeezing the life out of her. Forgetting that this was a living creature, and not just some squeeze toy.

"Air! I need air!" Budmon shouted. Several spikes appeared from her body.

Leo immediately released Budmon, after being poked by her needles. The flower retracted its needles, and started to catch it's breath...or Photosynthesize, it was a plant after all. "Sorry about that." He smiled sheepishly. "Name's Leo by the way."

"Leo! As in Leonardo!" Budmon perked up with sudden enthusiasm. "I'm looking for a Leonardo Silverstone, and I think that just might be you! I'm your partner Digimon."

"Partner Digimon?" Leo had heard the word Digimon on TV before, but everyone believed it to be a hoax. Leo was not one of them. After all, why would the news report on something like that if it weren't true. He'd never thought he'd get to see one up close though.

Budmon nodded. "Yup. Don't move, I'll be right back." Then she hopped away for a short time, then appeared almost as quickly as she left. She was carrying something that looked like a string necklace with something attached to it in her mouth, and she jumped into the boy's arms. "You can carry me. Just, don't squeeze too hard, K? Oh, and this is yours. Take it and put it on. Trust me, you'll need it."

Leo laughed. "Sure." He grabbed the necklace and did as he was told. It took him a few minutes to figure out he wasn't on the subway, but in some kind of forest. There were also two other kids with Digimon of their own here. He'd vaguely remembered seeing them on the Subway. "Hey Budmon, where are we?"

"The Jungle Terminal in the Digital World silly." She said that with a giggle, as if that was common knowledge.

"Oh yes of course. How silly of me."

It's that one guy
NEW YORK CITY
Pippa Green

<Be over in bout 30 mins, c u then
Pippa xxx>

Pippa tossed her phone down into the depths of her handbag, failing to notice the message error displayed on her phone. She was in the middle of New York City, a place she still hadn't gotten fully used to. Seattle had always felt big, but it was home, and she'd had fourteen whole years to adjust to the environment. New York was entirely different. Still, she knew the exact root she had to take to get to her friend's house. Her dad was out on a business trip and Bella's parents had offered her a place at theirs for the night. Bella was one of the few good friends that she'd made when she'd arrived here and she could barely wait to see her; they'd barely had a chance to see each other over Summer so far.

As she put the phone away, she felt an unfamiliar absence in the bag. She murmured in annoyance. How had she forgotten her diary? She rarely ever took the book out of her bag and she always knew exactly where it was at all times. It was almost an extension of her body nowadays. It was completely unlike her to leave it out of her handbag like that. She shook her head slowly, and turned around, heading back in the opposite direction. There was nothing for it, she had to go grab it.

In a hurry now, she rushed along the city streets, avoiding the bustling crowds on their daily journeys. She knew how ridiculous she must look, but she didn't care. She had a schedule to stick to and Pippa Green was never late.

Opening the front door quickly, she made her way upstairs hurriedly. She barely even registered her house as she went through it, focussing entirely on her most important possession. The only place it could be other than her handbag was... that was strange. Her diary was where she expected it to be, right next to her computer where she must've left it after last night's writing. On top of it, however, was an entirely different object. It was a light grey in colour, with various buttons covering its surface, white in colour. It also had a screen, on which there was a simple message written.

GO TO THE SUBWAY

Normally, Pippa wasn't one to trust messages from whatever on earth this device was. Normally, she would have listened to reason, knowing that getting to her friend's house was far more important. But normally, she would not have forgotten her diary. This was anything but a normal situation.

“Okay then.” she said plainly to the device, picking it up, along with her diary of course, and placing the two of them in her handbag. She grabbed her coat, worried that this distraction might last until nightfall, and headed out into the streets of New York.

THE SUBWAY

In her year at New York City, she'd managed to avoid too many subway trips. She disliked the dingy stations that were always bustling with countless people, as most of the City was. This station, however, was eerily quiet. “Where are all the people?” she noted, trying to remain calm. Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea after all. The board listing the train times was blank, and the building was almost entirely silent.

Just as she was figuring out an escape route, the lights on the board came on, with a 5:30 train clearly listed. She checked her phone quickly. “Damn, no signal.” she stated, seeing that the time was 5:27. Not too long to wait then. She took a seat and looked down the tunnel.

Sure enough, after three minutes, a train came into the station. Pippa walked in unquestioningly, prepared for whatever adventure awaited her. Inside, there were a few other children around her age, each looking confused by the entire situation. She looked over them awkwardly, wanting to say something but not exactly sure what. What if they were just regular train passengers? She would look like an idiot! Instead, she just waited, as the train left the station, and started to increase in speed. And increase, and increase, and increase...

Mountain Terminal

Sound came back first. Murmurings of another conversation hit her ears, something about 'partners'. Next, feeling came, a soft fabric brushing across Pippa's nose. Then, slowly, she opened her eyes.

She spent a few seconds adjusting to the blurriness, her glasses focussing her eyes as she looked up. She was greeted by a purple and white fluffy tail in the face.

“BLARGHJSAFJ!” she cried in a shamble of words, scrambling up onto her feet. She adjusted quickly, looking around the immediate vicinity. Near her was one of the others from the train, a boy, clearly awake and conversing with something she did not want to be seeing. On the other hand, another child lay, still unconscious.

Finally, her mind focussed on the more important matter.

“YOU!” she cried, looking down at the fluffy perpetrator. “What are you? Where are we? What... what?”

The creature looked back at her. “My name is Kapurimon!” he stated with a calm expression. It was only now that she got a good look at it. It was purple bodied with the same tail from before, with a white upper torso (if you could call it that). On the top of its body, there was a silver helmet. It looked very much like a living, breathing head without any body. “What's yours?”

“Pippa.” She answered, feeling courteous. Whatever it was, it didn't seem overly aggressive. “What is going on here, um, Kapurimon?”

“Not enough time to say right now, but if your name's Pippa, then I have something for you.” It's eyes gestured upwards to its head, where on one of its horns, a tag rested. She bent over cautiously and picked it up. It started to faintly glow. “Ah! I thought so! It's your crest, and we're partners!”

“Partners...” She stopped, looking up at the area around. There were mountains. This was a dream. It had to be a dream. “We're not in Kansas anymore...”

She embraced the madness.

Ames Nash
The Nash Manor

The melodic sound filled the halls of the house, spreading to every corner. One would find that the beautiful sound belonged to a violin, and that violin belonged to a Mr. Ames Nash. He played it adeptly, but his gaze was locked on the odd device sitting near his laptop. He hadn't ever seen anything like it. It was similar to the design of a cellphone, yet distinctly different in the subtlest of ways. He still wasn't sure how to use it. He wanted to call his dad, but he was on set, and his mother wasn't answering her phone. This was commonly the case. With his attention focused on the abstract technology, he abruptly botched the song he was playing. He let out a sigh as he placed his violin back into its case and took a seat at his desk. His hand slowly inched towards the device as he lightly gnawed on his lower lip.

The loud buzzing noise that emitted from the machine startled him, causing him to flinch a bit. He sighed again as he snatched up the thing.

TAKE THE 5:30 TRAIN

Ames stared at the message with a puzzled expression. He was skeptical of this leading to something good, but he was curious just the same. After a moment of contemplation he decided to follow the instructions sent to him. He opted against saying 'What's the worst that could happen?' to avoid inviting bad omens. He grabbed his jacket, cellphone, and the strange gizmo before heading out.

The Subway Station

The train pulled into the station ten minutes after he arrived. It would have been completely empty if not for the small number of people already aboard. He put on his shades and took a seat near the back. He opted to pull up his hood over his head to avoid anyone noticing who he was. The train picked up a few others, but something seemed to be a bit strange. It was going fast, but not at a normal rate. It began to go faster. Then it accelerated a bit more. Ames sprang from his seat and stomped his way towards the door to have a word with the driver, but it wouldn't budge.

"Hey! Are you trying to kill us!" He shouted. His heart was racing and his hands were clammy. Just as he prepared to shout again, the train suddenly went faster than before. Ames wasn't prepared for this and lost his footing. He banged his head against the door in front of him and slumped to the ground. He hit his head pretty hard. His vision was blurred and everything was slowly fading to black as he thought, But I didn't even say what's the worst that can happen...

Digital World
Mountain Terminal

"Um...Are you alright?" a voice asked. It seemed distant and small. Ames let out a groan as he stretched a bit. His eyes fluttered open, but they wouldn't stay open due to the intense sunlight. His vision was back to normal now. He felt something on his chest, but nothing particularly heavy. He looked down his nose at the mass of fur with eyes that stared back at him. Ames eyes became wide as he knocked the thing away.

"Hey!" It shouted as it tumbled to the ground. Ames shuffled to his feet and backed away silently.

"What the hell are you?!" Ames asked it. He picked up a rock, prepared to attack the creature with it.

"A digimon. What are you?! That's a rhetorical question, because it's obvious that you're an idiot!"

"I'll have you know that my IQ is well over 100, and my name is Ames."

"Oh great..." The digimon said, obviously disappointed, as it flung an object from its tail. It hit Ames right in the forehead."I'm Wanyamon. That's for you. Put it on."

"Ow..." Ames said before groaning. He reached down to pick it up. He examined it a bit.

"PUT IT ON!" yelled Wanyamon.

"OKAY!" Ames did as he was commanded. The second after it was situated properly around his neck, the crest of the necklace, flashed a bright blue. The device in his pocket did the same. He pulled out the device and examined it, too. He rolled his eyes as he realized what was going on. Digimon...digivice...digidestined. I so don't have time for this. "So...are you my partner or whatever?"

"Unfortunately yes." Wanyamon said. He was obviously vexed. "I need you, and you need me. The sooner you get that, the better off we'll be, bu- Hey! Get back here!"

Ames had already begun walking away, apparently trying to find a way to civilization. He didn't even bother to check on the other two people, a boy and girl, with digimon of their own. Wanyamon hopped along after him trying to catch his attention.

Back Again...
Holiday Inn, New York

Jazz was running through the halls of the hotel. His friends were all out at a restaurant, which he was planning on meeting them there. This was their last hoorah; their Senior Trip. Jazz had been having fun these last few days, and tonight was family dinner night. Jazz’s friend, Tyler, had left his phone in the hotel room. Tyler and Jazz were in the same room, and Tyler was afraid to walk back to the hotel alone, so Jazz had quickly volunteered to go grab it instead. He had gone through many blocks, and the hotel itself was rather… sketchy. But Jazz would chance all that for his friend.

Jazz was breathing pretty heavy. He wasn’t necessarily the fit guy in the world, and he had been running pretty fast. There were a lot people out and about, and not all of them looking nice. Jazz wasn’t sure about the hotel either, and didn’t trust the people inside. He got up to his room, 349, and opened the door. He quickly charged in, saw the brightly colored device sitting on the desk, assumed it was the phone, and headed out again, locking the door.

On the elevator ride down, the device beeped. Or rang. Or something. Jazz looked at it, and it said ‘GO TO THE SUBWAY.’ Jazz figured one of the guys had texted it to tell him where to meet. He opened a map on his phone, and found the nearest entrance. He continued quickly, not meeting eye contact with the people as he continued on.

The Subway:

Jazz was running down the stairs, when the device beeped again. ‘TAKE THE 5:30 TRAIN.’ Jazz thought that was strange. He figured they must have caught the one before, and that they would let him know when to get off. He wondered why they didn’t just text his phone, but he didn’t question it. He thought the place was awfully empty, but since he didn’t know much about metro systems, he kept it to himself. The train arrived, and he stepped on.

The train only had a few kids, mostly around his age, which… was weird. Even if he didn’t know subways, Jazz thought there was something going on here. Of course, he looked happy and smiley on the outside, but before he knew it, he was flung against the floor, and could feel the force push against him until he blacked out…

Digi-City Ruins:

When Jazz awoke, the world was blurry around him. He rubbed his eyes, letting the image clear. It appeared as though he was in some ruined city. What was Jazz’s first thought? Zombie Apocalypse! Jazz bolted upright, and was about to take off when he noticed two other girls here two, one with a jumping blue… creature around it. He was taken aback, and a thought hit him. It was… like history was coming back to him. Of the Diaboromon, the Japanese kids, the almost destruction of the world. Was he… Was he in the digital world?

“Uh, Jazz?” Some girl’s voice said. Jazz turned around to look at what it was. A little bird, small, pink, and feathered. It was looking up at him, expectedly. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” She emphasized the point with a peck on the foot.

“Ow!” Jazz exclaimed. “What.. Who…” Jazz stammered, trying to wrap his head around things.

“I’m THE Poromon!” She said. “And if you are Jazz, you are MY partner!” The last sentence was both matter-of-factly and slightly excited.

“Partner… This is the digital world then…” He said, looking around. He then focused his attention to the pick fluffball. “Well, Poromon, I am Jazz. Jazz Rogan, nice to meet you!” He smiled, and held out his hand.

“Uh.. What am I supposed to do, eat it?” Poromon asked, looking at his hand.

“Right, you don’t have hands.” Jazz replied.

“Oh yeah! You need this, too.” He fluttered up, and dropped a necklace around his neck. He looked at it, a deep purple color and symbol involving two hearts. He filled him with a warmth inside.

“Alright!” Jazz said, happily. “Poromon, if we’re partners, then who are they?” Jazz asked, indicating the other two people who were a ways away.

Hitomi Sakagami
Her own room, NYC

“Eeh, Death? A-again…?” Hitomi gasped in disbelief as she sat atop her bed, a deck of cards sitting beside her. Few of the cards were spread out in front of her and one of them lay in her hand, depicting a cloaked man with a scythe in hand. Tarot Cards, and once again she had drawn Death. It was a highly misunderstood card, often taken to signal literal death or an accident, but really, all it meant was the death of something old and the birth of something new. Rebirth. Change.

How ironic. Everyone knew she’d never change.

Hitomi let out an amused but at the same time a slightly sad sigh, shaking her head. Something was definitely wrong with her fortunetelling today. She had never, ever gotten that card before, so to draw the same one so many times in a row in such a short time… were the Spirits mocking her? She must’ve angered them on accident, then. If only she knew how… Well, either way she’d better buy some incense later today and make amends.

She nodded at her plan and gathered up her cards before sliding off of her bed and walking up to her closet. Just like always, she looked around just in case as she approached the closet’s door, as she wanted to make absolutely sure nobody caught a glimpse of just what lay locked away within; everything she really liked, everything that made her truly herself.

Once she had made sure it was safe to do so, Hitomi opened the door with a small key and stepped inside. The closet was big enough for her to fit in comfortably even with all the stuff piled up inside, partly because she always kept everything nicely organized. She set the deck of cards away on one of the shelves and smiled at the sight spreading out before her; crystal balls, books on demons and magic, wands, amulets, all sorts of magical trinkets and then, at the far end of the closet, clothes. Laced minidresses, nightgowns, miniskirts, corsets… all garments she would never be caught dead in. Ones she couldn’t be caught dead in.

And still she wanted nothing more than to at least try one of them on. She had bought them in secrecy, brought them home in secrecy and just… left them there, at the far end of the closet for her to look at.

Hitomi sighed and closed the door, turning to look at the rest of the room. Bright colors, posters of famous people she didn’t even know… it was such a high contrast to her closet. It didn’t even feel like her own room. But well, whatever, she was used to this by now.

So used to that, when her gaze wandered about the room it didn’t take her long to realize there was a foreign object laying on her table, next to her laptop. Curious, Hitomi tilted her head and walked up to the red and black device, picking it up and turning it around in her hands. What was this? Another popular item she had gotten just to fit in? She doubted it, she would have remembered something like this…

Wait, there was a message blinking on the screen… ‘Go to the Subway’… Huh?

“Strange,” Hitomi whispered to herself, her imagination already conjuring up theories about Spirits contacting her and the like.

A knock on the door snapped her back to reality with a bang, and she almost dropped the device out of shock. What, w-were the spirits coming through doors now?! Apparently not, just her mother telling her it was dinner time. Ugh, dinner. Hitomi really disliked family dinners. It was always just both her parents asking her how school was and how well she was doing on tests and the like… She always felt like she had been cross examined in her own home.

“I’ll come in a fe-“, Hitomi began, her voice jolly and polite despite her thoughts, but before she could finish she stopped herself. No, no wait. She glanced down at the device she was holding, her heart beating fast again. The message on the device… she had an excuse to get away from dinner. A real excuse that wouldn’t make her feel bad for lying.

A smile spread across her face, and so Hitomi quickly ran to fetch her bag and change her clothes. She pulled on a bright orange hoodie she really hated – she had nothing against bright colors or those who liked them, she just really didn’t want to wear them herself – and picked up the glasses she didn’t even need before rushing downstairs. After quickly offering her apologies for not being able to dine together tonight she dashed out the door without a second thought, heaving a sigh of relief once she got far enough.

The Subway Station

Hitomi was nothing short of a nervous wreck as she waited for a train another message had said would arrive at 5:30.

On the other hand she was extremely glad she was the only person there, as now nobody could start a conversation with her (and she could stop wearing that awkward smile all the time), but on the other, sitting there all alone, waiting for a train a strange device had told her to board was definitely scary. Luckily she had bought her PSP with her – if it weren’t for it she would have most likely gone crazy by now. An hour, that’s how long she had waited. Only five minutes left now, five minutes until she’d find out if this was some cruel prank or actually the work of Spirits.

She had almost completed yet another route in her dating sim game when the clock hit 5:30, but she didn’t even care. Not when there was now a train standing still in front of her, doors opened and apparently waiting for her. Very slowly, Hitomi stood up from the bench she was sitting on and stuck her game console inside her bag. She couldn't back down now. She couldn't let herself back down. So, tying to keep her head cool Hitomi took in a very deep breath and brushed her bangs to cover her face even better, before she pretty much forced herself to walk up to the train’s doors. Peeking in she saw about eight other kids, all seeming just as confused as she was.

For a second Hitomi was worried that being together with so many people would require her to talk, but luckily for her, she didn’t have to worry about that for long; the second her feet touched the train’s floor and the doors closed behind her, the train blasted off with ridiculous speeds. Hitomi couldn’t keep herself from screaming, as she was desperately trying to latch onto something to keep her from falling. But, apparently she failed with that, as the next thing she knew, she was unconscious.

Digi-City Ruins

Hitomi’s eyes fluttered open, and the first thing she saw was what appeared to be a destroyed shop of some sort. She blinked in disbelief, rolling to her back and sitting up. She was sitting on the side of a road, one that seemed like it had suffered from an earthquake or two. The asphalt was rugged and uneven, and there were rocks and rubble scattered around everywhere. Hitomi felt her heart miss a beat. Where in the world was she? H-had the world been destroyed while she was asleep?! She was scared. Where was the train? Where was she? Why was she here?!

She remembered the Death Arcana she had pulled out earlier. Could it-

“Hey, hey, don’t look so panicked. You’ve got the great Koromon with you now, there’s nooothing to worry about!”

Hitomi turned around to face the source of the voice very, very slowly. A pink blob with intense red eyes and small fangs.

A monster, basically.

“KIYAAAH!” Hitomi gasped and backpedaled up against the side of the destroyed shop building, her hands raised to protect her face. She was going to die. Shewasgoingtodierigthhere. Oh god, ohgodohgod she should have apologized to the spirits while she still had the time, now this… Koromon would-

W-wait… Koromon. Mon as in… Digimon?

Hitomi lowered her hands to take another look at the monster. Tears lingered in the corners of her eyes, but her expression wasn’t that of fright anymore. Rather, it was one of fascination. Digimon… those were the creatures that had appeared in New York so many years ago, right? And after that, there had been multiple strange sightings in Japan. She knew, because she had been in Japan during one of those incidents. She had always wanted to take a better look, as she had thought of them as supernatural beings, and nothing interested her more than those. Now she finally got to meet one!

And she… she had been incredibly rude to it. It was like a rock had been dropped inside her stomach. The poor thing was staring at her in confusion, apparently not understanding what the scream had been for. Uh oh, she’d have to think of something, quick. Remedy the situation. Appear bright and cheery and fun like always.

“U-uhm, I, I mean, kiyaaaa, how cute! W-with those sharp teeth and red eyes and… all that… pink-iness! H-haha!” Hitomi tried, clasping her hands together and jumping slightly. “I, um, can’t believe I got to meet something as cute as you um, Koromon. Can I… c-call you Koro-chan? Ah I’m, um, Hitomi, so um, very, very nice to… t-to meet you.”

She offered a hand, only to realize the creature had no hands to shake hands with.

You just had to mess that one up, didn’t you?

“Ahaha, r-right, no arms. You don’t… need to shake then. Uh…” Hitomi looked down, not really sure what to do. A real Digimon, a real supernatural creature and she had totally blown the introduction part. The thing most likely hated her. Thought she was strange and a freak and… uh, maybe if she just smiled more she could-

“That’s okay!” Koromon reassured as it jumped closer. It was then that Hitomi noticed it had something around its neck; a necklace of some sort, with a red crest depicting a bull’s head and sunrays. Hitomi blinked at it, even more so when it was offered up to her.

“Anyone would be surprised in front of my power!” The Koromon continued with a grin as Hitomi shakily took the pendant from him. “We’re still partners, Hitomi! Just… don’t call me Koro-chan. It doesn’t fit a badass like me.”

Badass? Hitomi blinked. Really?

“But anyway, rather than offering to shake my hand, shouldn’t you offer it to those other humans?” The Koromon continued, and Hitomi tilted her head. It took her a while to comprehend what he had just said.

“Other huma-,” she repeated to herself and turned around, only to realize there was a boy and a girl not far away from her, both with their own Digimon as well. That very same second, the color of Hitomi’s entire face suddenly flashed into a deep red color.

No! No, no, no, d-did they my awkwardness from earlier? This is the worst. They’ll think I’m a freak. An asocial freak! Think, Hitomi, think, say something, anything, acknowledge their presence, show how nice you are, introduce-

“N-nice to Hitomi you my name is!” She gasped, putting on the most convincing smile she could muster up, her voice high and excited – and extremely awkward as she bowed in the direction of the two.

Koromon sighed and Hitomi’s embarrassment level shot up to eleven once she realized what had come out of her mouth.

I… I blew this one, too.

Maxwell Trevena

Maxwell simply talked to Xiaomon until the others woke up.

“BLARGHJSAFJ!”

... That definetley meant one of them was up.

Searching for the owner of the voice, Max noticed the girl that had just stood up in surprise. Blonde and curly hair rested upon her shoulders. The girl's eyes, which were filled with a sense of panic, were brown and behind a pair of glasses. The digimon with her was already talking to her, so he descided to stay put.

The other guy, who had just gotten up and finished talking with his digimon, started walking away from the group, his partner tailing along. That was bad.

Very bad.

After thinking about the whole ordeal for a while, remembering his non-dream, he figured... no, he KNEW Digimon could be dangerous and deadly. The Missile Crisis was just evidence of it. Now, suppose you were in his position. Would you have ventured into a world you barely knew, filled with dangerous digimon that could kill you in seconds, alone?

I thought not.

Hurriedly, he wrote down 'And where do you think you're going, Mr.?', ripped the page from the notebook, folded it and gave it to Xiaomon. The pup looked at his partner adorably, waiting for an order. Max simply pointed at the boy who was walking away from the group. Understanding his partner's wishes, he set off happily with the piece of paper in his mouth to deliver the message to the runaway boy.

Max smiled. He was lucky to have such an adorable partner.

Then he remembered that there was someone else with them and decided to ask what had happened to

Max jotted down something on his notepad and walked over to the girl. Seeing how she was, he just sighed.

He was definetely the sane one here.

Max simply gave the notebook to the girl, which had the following written on it: 'Hey, I'm Maxwell. What's your name?'

Pippa Green

Calm down, Pippa. she thought to herself , attempting to rationalise the situation. It's fine, Bella will know that you're missing! But how she'll get here is an entirely different matter...

Where exactly was 'here', anyway? She had been in a subway car. As far as she knew, subway cars did not take you out of New York, and a quick look around definitely showed her that they weren't near the city. She vaguley tuned in to the third person's conversation, hearing his name to be 'Ames'. That was an unusual name, for sure. He seemed to be in a complete argument with the tiny creature following him, and then began wandering off.

“We should probably stick to-” she stopped, the words going dry in her mouth. What was the point? At least he was taking some sort of initiative and looking around this place. She considered following until she saw the other boy's partner chasing on after him with a note in its mouth. The oddity just seemed to thrive out here.

She had a brief thought, reaching for her handbag. From inside, she swiftly grasped her mobile, flicking it open. “No signal.” she murmured, not surprised. Where would the signal come from? She couldn't see any transmitters anywhere nearby, and civilisation was clearly not an option. She placed the phone back in her bag, frustrated and confused.

“Well, this is just brilliant.” She told her partner, who just stared blankly back. She turned, deciding to deal with the situation, only to find one of the boys in front of her.

He looked around the same age as her, pale skinned with shaggy dark hair. She noticed his eyes, green in colour, that peeked out at her calmly. They almost seemed to sparkle at her. In his hand was a notebook, which he handed to her.

<'Hey, I'm Maxwell. What's your name?'>

She read it over quickly, wondering why he couldn't have just spoken it out loud to her. Either way, trying to make a good impression (though she realised now that her panic was not the best start), she smiled back at him while trying to seem calm. “Hiya Maxwell, I'm Pippa. Nice to meet you!” She handed the notebook back. A slight nudging on her leg caused her to look down. “Oh, and this is apparently Kapurimon.”

“Hello there.” The metallic creature added, “You must be one of the other partners. There are a few less of you here than I would have expected, but I'm sure that you're up to whatever challenges we will face.”

Pippa, ignoring Kapurimon entirely, powered on. “So, Maxwell, do you have any idea where we are? Or anything about what's going on, really. I'm honestly more than a little worried right now.”

She looked back down at her partner briefly, examining him. Kapurimon was an unusual name for this thing... She almost felt the need to shout out 'eureka'. She remembered now of course. Digimon, Digital Monsters, those creatures she'd heard vague reference of on the news! She felt even more of an idiot than before. That still didn't explain most of the questions pounding in her head though. Maybe this Maxwell would know more than she did.

Aurora "AJ" Jensen

Aurora couldn't believe this! She was stuck in the digital world.

"Great," she said out loud in obvious annoyance when she realized she would most likely miss her modelling job in Paris but, something inside her was happy that she was in the digital world. She might have a chance to really leave her mark in the world...and not just the fashion world. Finally, something that will change her life forever. She brought her attention back to what was going on around her, which was Puroromon hovering around flowers and the two other kids getting acquainted with their own digimon.

"Hey Puroromon!" Aurora called over to her digimon, who immediately flew over to her and perched itself on her head.

"Yes Aurora?" he asked as he wiggled himself on her head. At first, she was totally disgusted by him being on her head. I mean, its a freaking bee, however, she realized that he wasn't going to hurt her and so, she just let him chill up there.

"Maybe we should go meet the other guys here now?" she asked and, almost immediately, Puroromon shot off toward the one to the right, the one without the goggles. From a distance the kid seemed nice enough but, Aurora didn't know what was in store for her. Aurora noticed how much Puroromon was like her, almost exactly how she was when she was a young girl. Puroromon's ditzy disposition and short attention span was a mirror image of herself about 10 years ago. It was no wonder why they were partners.

One thing that was odd about this jungle was that, though everything was right in front of her and felt like it should, the place still felt artificial. Even though there was this artificial feeling to everything, there was still a soul to everything....eh, she was getting to deep. She realized just how far it the kid was and the scorching heat of the jungle began taking it's toll on her. It was seriously like being put in a hot sauna for a couple hours. She could hear Puroromon's voice a few yards ahead of her.

"...and this is Aurora!" she heard Puroromon said as she got closer. Damn, was it hot. She was sweating from just a few yard run.

"Yes, My Name is Aurora, or just AJ!" She said, winking at the boy and his digimon. She held out her hand waiting for at least a handshake but, she immediately felt the attitude the kid was giving off....The shaggy blonde hair, the dark circles....she cringed on the inside. A Cynic. She didn't hate cynical people, she just didn't like them. What is the point of being anti everything all the time? But, she waited patiently for him to say something...if he was going to say anything.

Maxwell simply nodded when they introduced themselves. Pippa and Kapurimon... Well, it was obvious that Kapurimon was much more mature than Xiaomon, who had the mentality of a little baby.

“So, Maxwell, do you have any idea where we are? Or anything about what's going on, really. I'm honestly more than a little worried right now.”

He pondered what to answer. They appeared to be in a mountain range of sorts, but if this was the digital world, then these mountains... no, the world itself was data. Pure, simple data.

He wrote down his answer. After that, he simply gave the notebook to Pippa again. On the notebook was written the following: 'According to what Xiaomon told me after giving me this pendant, we're in the Digital World, in a Mountain Range. Anout what's going on, however, I have absolutetly no clue. We should just wait and see.'

He glanced over to Xiaomon, who was still trying to reach the other boy. Then he registered what Kapurimon said fully.

If there were nine people on the train... then where were the other six?, he thought. He simply hoperd that they were all in groups of three, like they were. Then, he started pointing to the other boy who was walking away from the group, as if asking who he was.

Matt Braken
The Jungle Terminal

"What's the matter Matt? Don't you like some company? Hahaha! See what I did there? Matter? Matt? Puns? Ha" The jolly little ball of fluff known as Tsunomon bounced around in hysterics over his own little one liner. His partner wasn't laughing, at least not on the outside anyway. Matt Braken was instead trying to get a feel for his surroundings. He was silent, and his eyes were sort of locked in a state of observation, scanning the little jungle clearing that they were stuck in for some sort of clue. A landmark. Anything that provided the semblance of civilization being nearby.

Nothing. He wasn't ready to believe that he was trapped. But escape seemed out of the question. How typical.

"It's not that I don't like company. It's just that the company that I prefer is very..." How could Matt put it in words that could apply here? He preferred the company of other Critics? Perhaps he could say the company of realists, or practical individuals. "Well the kind of people who I like to hang around aren't very common. Let's just say that?" The statement seemed to confuse Tsunomon, whom he could tell was a social being, probably the type who tried to befriend everyone. While Matt waited for a reply, he gazed around the Jungle. All of it indeed felt very fake. There was a sort of uncanny valley feeling about the region. It was realistic, but there was something artificial and unsettling about everything. The vague pulses of green light the sky didn't help things either.

"Well no time to think! Heads up!" Tsunomon shouted, as he mustered a great bounce in the air. Matt turned to see what looked like a mutant Bee, buzzing quickly towards him. Matt tensed up, was this thing hostile? It certainly didn't look it. But as soon as it opened it's mouth, the tension subsided, and he remembered that it was one of the other kid's Digimon.
"...and this is Aurora!" It said and on cue, there approached a, well there was really no other way Matt could think to put it: A Bombshell of a girl. What with a nearly perfect figure and form, along with her clothes and make up? Damn. Her winking didn't help things. For all his misanthropy, Matt was still a teenager. Even with his composure, he couldn't help but making the faintest smirk.

He shook her hand. It was certainly sweaty, but Matt's was probably the same way. The scorching heat made it hard to tell.
"The name's Matt. Matt Braken. And this is..." The Digimon interrupted him before he could finish the introduction, giving an unreasonably high bounce into the air.

"And I'm Tsunomon! Nice to Meetcha'!"

"Right." Matt remarked tonelessly, watching the digimon as it touched the ground once more. He still wasn't used to the little puffball's extreme levels of happiness. Matt turned back to Aurora, or AJ as she probably preferred.
"I don't suppose you were awake when we landed here?" Matt didn't wait too long for a response, she probably would have said something if she was. "Look." Matt started, he began to walk to a point in the clearing that put him equally distant to both Aurora and the boy whom he didn't know. "I think you'll probably agree with me when I say that our first priority should be getting back home. And the first step to that should be finding a way out of this sweltering Jungle pit. Because I don't know about you guys, but I didn't come to Manhattan to get trapped in the Digital World." The tone of his voice was quite obviously one of a person who was the farthest thing from amused.

Tsunomon still was back with Puroromon and Aurora, all he could do was whisper to them.
"Sorry about him. I think he's a bit of a grumpy grumpster..."

Seffie was already starting to walk towards the closest silouette, chatting rather quietly to her new friend in the digimon Moonmon. It was mostly just the two trying to get to know eachother a little better, or more precisely, Seffie was talking to the small digimon nestled in her arms, and not understanding when Moonmon was speaking about. "... then this huge Kuwagamon just went zooming over, chasing this really short Stingmon which was so funny." Seffie simply nodded slowly at Moonmon's telling about "This time last week," as she had started pretty much every little story.

"That sounds... well... it sounds interes-" She was cut off when she was only a little away from the first person, the same in which shouted and called out. "Nice to Hitmomi me?" She questioned, smirking a little as she could tell this girl was a little nervous for some reason. She quickly turned the smiling to her though, letting Moonmon hop to the floor for her own greeting to Koromon, being wordless in doing so. "I get what you mean though, my name's Seffie. My little partner's Moonmon,"

"I'm not little!" The Digimon cried out, a little angrily at Seffie for the comment. She just glanced down and cocked her brow at her, beyond that she knew she couldn't really say anything as compared to the humans, she was small.

The little pink monster turned, to see the other two humans. "Oh, you know. More humans." She said simply. Almost on cue, one of the girls made her way towards the other, her own digimon right next to her. One was a small, Japanese girl, with long hair that flowed down her back. She was wearing a bright orange hoodie, and was smiling rather politely, albeit a bit awkward. Jazz tried to look her in the eyes, but her hair and glasses pretty well obstructed his view of them.

“N-nice to Hitomi you my name is!”

At first Jazz wasn't sure if she just didn't know English very well, but he noticed slight trembling that probably meant she was just nervous. Hell, Jazz thought. I'm nervous. What's not nerve racking about landing in a strange new world? The girl looked as though she was close to Jazz's age. He thought she was kinda pretty, for an Asian.

The other girl then spoke. "I get what you mean though, my name's Seffie. My little partner's Moonmon"

Jazz took in the other girl as well. She also might of had some Asian heritage, but was a little darker than most Asians he had seen. Her hair was blonde, with maybe a slight bit of pink in it as well. It made him think of the time Chanda dyed her hair purple, you could still see it after she dyed it again. The girl was pretty athletic, and Jazz thought she was pretty as well.

Jazz came up to both girls, charming as he could be. "Hi, I'm Jazz Rogan!" He said, a big smile on his face. He looked down at the two other digimon. "Oh my gosh! You are the cutest digimon ever! I love these little guys!"

Jazz had bent down to look closer at the two other digimon. Then, a pink ball of fluff crashed into his head, comically knocking him over, then jumping on him.

"Um, excuse me? I am THE Poromon! I am cuter than either of these digimon!" The little pink bird said, turning up her nose or rather, beak at Jazz. She turned around, sitting on Jazz's chest. "Sorry about him. I'm Poromon, his digimon."

From where he stood, Leo could see to of the other kids that were stranded here with their Digimon started. Not wanted to be left out of the conversation, Leo, who was still carrying Budmon in his arms, walked over to them, and listened to their conversation. Waiting for a point where he could jump in.

The guy's name was Matt, and the girl's name was Aurora. Their conversation didn't get very far before Matt took off, leaving his Digimon behind. He said something about wanting to get out of here. He clearly did not want to be here.

Leo tried to keep up with him. "Oh come on dude, don't be like that! I know it's hot here, I want to get out of here too. I have to pick up my sister from the airport..." He had only just remembered that last part now. He hoped Lilly wouldn't be too mad at him if he wasn't able to make it. "But look on the bright side. At least were alive, and we got cute Digimon to keep us company."

At this, Budmon smiled and put on a cute face. Batting her eyes as much as possible.

"I'm Leo by the way, and this is Budmon. Now, can we at least try to be friends? It would really help." He smiled, and stuck out one of his hand for him to shake it, while holding on to Budmon with his other arm.

Ames continued walking as Wanyamon continued to shout at him about sticking together. That's not a bad idea. They could probably help me get out of here faster, but others Ames turned around abruptly, causing Wanyamon to crash into his leg. Wanyamon tumbled back as another digimon came to him, holding a sheet of paper. It read:

'And where do you think you're going Mister?"

Ames and Wanyamon followed the digimon back to its owner, and looked down at the boy.

"I thought I was trying to find my way out of here, and I suggest you do the same." Ames said to the boy. "And what's with the note? Do you not know how to talk?"

Ames continued staring at the boy until he realized the girl was standing near them.

"I think we should probably get going. Considering the fact that we are out in the wilderness without shelter or food. We can get more acquainted, if we must, once we find some place to stay."

Surprisingly, the boy took her hand and introduced himself, "The name's Matt. Matt Braken. And this is..." Ah, so Matt is this boy's name. By his body language, she can tell he was a little attracted to her. The winking probably didn't help, but hey, she was a friendly person she can't help it. Eh, she was probably sending the wrong messages but, whatever. Aurora might have been wrong about the boy, he seemed a lot nicer then he seemed. His Digimon clearly interrupted him and introduced himself.

"And I'm Tsunomon! Nice to Meetcha'!" the small fuzzball near his ankles replied with a little smile on his face. What a cutie this digimon was but, the blade on it's head looked extremely menacing so, she made a mental note not to get on this digimon's bad side. It's positive attitude was rather refreshing in this unfamiliar place.

"Right." Matt remarked tonelessly. Well, that totally just ruined her new found respect for the kid. It was the indifference in his tone that bothered her the most. Wait, there wasn't even a tone in his voice, that's how indifferent the kid was. She shrugged it off, maybe it was because he was in a new place and was a little stressed out. He had asked her something while she was thinking but, she didn't have enough time to make out what was said or even ask him to repeat the question. She once again shrugged it off, twice already, in the two minutes in knowing this kid, she got annoyed. It has to be a new record.

"Look." Matt started, he began to walk to a point in the clearing that put him equally distant to both Aurora and the boy whom she didn't get to meet yet. "I think you'll probably agree with me when I say that our first priority should be getting back home. And the first step to that should be finding a way out of this sweltering Jungle pit. Because I don't know about you guys, but I didn't come to Manhattan to get trapped in the Digital World." Well, what a Debby Downer this kid is turning out to be. I mean, if they were all warped into the digital world by some being it must have been important. All of this wasn't some fluke they were meant to be here but, for what purpose? Aurora couldn't answer that just yet. She was just about to reply to Miserable Matt....yes, that was the nickname she had come up with for this kid. Maybe it was the heat that magnified his cynicism but, it was annoying. Anyway, the other replied to him instead.

"Oh come on dude, don't be like that! I know it's hot here, I want to get out of here too. I have to pick up my sister from the airport...but look on the bright side. At least we're alive, and we got cute Digimon to keep us company." Ah, that positive thinking was so refreshing to her, it was like if a cool waterfall of water splashed on her in this intense heat. The positive energy just made her give a sigh of relief.

"I'm Leo by the way, and this is Budmon. Now, can we at least try to be friends? It would really help." He smiled, and stuck out one of his hand for him to shake it, while holding on to Budmon with his other arm.

"He's right." she said, before anyone else can prevent her from talking. Puroromon perched himself on Aurora's head again as she began walking toward the two guys. "There's no use trying to be negative at a time like this and if we're here, there must be some sort of reason for us to be here. They wouldn't send a bus load of nine..." she just realized the other six children were no where to be seen and she stopped her thought and continued to the children, "Speaking of the other kids....where are they?" she looked around and found no other sign of the kids just Leo, Matt, Tsunomon, Budmon, who was the cutest effing thing ever, Puroromon and her. What she did find, however was her Purse. "MY PURSE!!!!" she yelled as she ran straight for it. It was only a few feet away from her but, the tall grass prevented her from spotting it sooner. She opened it up quickly and dug in it for a couple of things. One, her iPhone, she needed to see if her phone still worked. Two, her three water bottles she always packs in the summer to stop herself from dehydrating. Three, her makeup because what kind of girl is a girl without make up.

The makeup was the easiest to find. Her purse was more of a tote bag with tons of things stacked on top of each other. Usually it isn't as unorganized as it was but, the trip to the digital world was obviously a bumpy one. She then pulled out three bottles of water. Smart water to be exact. They were the large variety. One of them had a little water out of it because that was the one Aurora was drinking out of. And finally her phone....."No service," she said out loud so that everyone else could hear her.

"Well of course silly, it's the digital world, it would be impossible for a device that needs the digital world to work, to work while it's in the digital world!" Puroromon said on her head before falling into her bag and getting some makeup on his small body. "ooooh, I look pretty!!" He said as he caught a reflection of himself in a make up mirror laying in Aurora's purse. Just before anyone could say anything, she felt a small vibration in her pocket...it was her digivice. She took it out of her pocket and pressed the main button, it opened a small video message box and a golden lizard came on the screen and began talking.

"Hello DigiDestined.....more specifically Aurora, The DigiDestined of Respect, Leonardo, The DigiDestined of Trust and Matthew, The DigiDestined of Resilience, you are not alone." Aurora sighed in relief as she heard that no one was lost or killed in the transfer, she totally forgotten a golden lizard was talking to her through this device she only just found today."My name is Fanglongmon and you must be wondering why you are here. You probably have already found out that you are in the Digital World and are probably wondering why. A great evil digimon...Mephistomon....has taken the Digital world for his own along with his cohorts, known as The Order. Mephistomon has created a virus known as the Chaos Mist. This Chaos Mist is polluting our world and destroying the very existence of the Digital World....and soon your world. What you might not know is that the Digital World and The Natural World are intertwined...each world effecting each other. Now, we need you...your world needs you...use the power of the crests to save the digital world and your world. Lastly, don't fear....though your Digimon are young now.....their powers will grow as you mature yourself....Please...save this world." It cutoff....it was obviously pre-recorded for the three of them. Many questions arose in her mind...Why separate us? Why give us the weak digimon if they are can get stronger.....her thought process was interrupted when she heard a roar that sounded right off from the Horizon.

Hitomi Sakagami
Digi-City Ruins

Hitomi didn’t dare raise her head away from the bow. She didn’t want to face the two others, didn’t want to show the embarrassment shining from her face. And truthfully, even if she had wanted to, she felt like she couldn’t raise her head right now. Nothing moved. She was petrified, just waiting for the mocking laughter to start.

But it never came.

Instead she heard the voice of another girl introducing herself and her partner Digimon. Seffie and… Moonmon? She sounded so nice. Very, very carefully Hitomi raise her gaze just enough to see the girl properly. She was tanned, but seemed Asian just like her. Her hair was dyed blond with tints of pink visible here and there – a color that made Hitomi jump slightly. She had dyed her hair?! Good heavens, her own parents would have killed her had she done the same. But what was the most noticeable about the girl was neither her clothing nor her hair but her sheer height – she was towering, especially for someone with Asian roots, and especially when compared to someone as small as Hitomi.

Just then she realized it was impolite to stare, and quickly snapped her gaze down on her Digimon instead. It was shaped funny, and for some reason reminded her of a slightly wider than normal pipette. Hitomi couldn’t help but giggle just a bit at the thought.

“I’m Koromon, nice to meet you!” The small pink Digimon cheered from the ground. With the attention most likely on Koromon now, Hitomi finally found it in her to straighten, smiling the best she could as she tried to think of something to say. Anything would be fine. She just had to speak up so as to not seem awkward. Anything. Like-

"Hi, I'm Jazz Rogan!"

Hitomi literally jumped slightly, instantly turning to face the new arrival, this time a boy. He was smiling, and seemed pretty nice as well. Seemed like she was in luck, then! But did he have to startle her like that? The boy was a blond just like the other girl and his hair was long. Overall he looked… how should she say it… pretty? Pretty rather than handsome. It was funny, but of course, Hitomi didn’t dare voice that out loud.

Jazz, as he had introduced himself, managed to startle Hitomi again in a matter of seconds when he suddenly launched into admiring the two other Digimon. Hitomi couldn’t but blink, and Koromon puffed its nonexistent chest a bit as it was admired. It seemed to enjoy the attention.

Just then a pink ball of feathers crashed against the guy’s back, and Hitomi started to wish she was alone again. This was the third time she jumped in the matter of minutes! What was up with these people, why were they so… so restless? At least the other girl seemed calm. She really hoped she’d remain that way.

The Poromon introduced herself in a rather boastful manner, and instantly Koromon took that as a challenge.

“THE Poromon? Well, in that case I’m THE Koromon. I’m the most powerful Koromon ever! I’d beat you easily!” Koromon announced, nonchalantly jumping on top of Jazz as well. Hitomi winced.

“Ah, Koro-chan, no, you’ll hurt him even more!” She gasped and hurriedly snatched her Digimon away, pressing the small creature against her chest. That way she could keep him still and have something between her and those two. It made her feel more secure. So far so good. Now she just needed to… say something. She couldn’t leave them hanging. So, first she turned to the girl, kind of talking from behind her Digimon at this point.

“N-nice to meet you!” She said as loudly and excitedly as she could manage, though her voice shook a little. Okay, that was a good start. Now she just needed to make them like her. Complimenting usually worked, right? Okay so… “Y-you’re really pretty and your Digimon is… um, really, really unique-looking. W-which is of course a good thing! Pipettes are cute. Um.”

T-that should do it, now quickly look away. Look away.

Hitomi turned to the boy and slightly bend over him, tilting her head. “Um, are you alright down there? I-if it makes you feel better, your fall was... really g-graceful!”

Graceful? Nobody would buy that…

Hitomi opened her mouth to continue, possibly in order to ask how did they think they could get out of here, but decided she had talked more than enough. Hiding behind her Digimon she fell silent, really hoping the two would start to converse with each other so she could remain quiet in the sidelines.
