Digimon: The Tributes. (Rated PG-15)

antagoonist
I really should’ve finished this sooner, 'cause now Niihyl beat me to it with the borderline psychopath thing. *shakes fist* Eh. Luckily these two don't seem to be all that similar otherwise, so I think it should be fine…?

Name: Renato “Ren” Vargas Rivera

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Appearance: Renato stands somewhat taller than other kids his age at 6’1’’. His skin color shows off his Spanish heritage, and he works out regularly to keep himself in tip-top shape. That is because while he usually dislikes work, if it’s in order to keep himself looking good, he’s all for it. He likes to pamper himself and believes appearances matter, after all.

His semi-short hair is dark brown in color and in what he likes to call an “organized mess”. That is, his hair sticks out every which way, but only because he likes it like that, as he abhors neat haircuts and finds them boring. His hair is slightly longer from the back, long enough to be gathered up in an extremely small, messy ponytail. Ren’s eyes are light sand-brown in color, and their gaze usually sharp. Both his ears have multiple piercings on them, as does his lower lip.

As far as his clothing goes, Ren always picks things both neat and comfortable for himself. He's not a fan of suits or anything difficult to move in, but neither does he like extremely baggy clothing that cover up too much. Usually he has on a simple, dark brown t-shirt depicting the silhouette of a gun and a human who’s just been shot in the head with said gun, with fitting splatters decorating the upper right corner of the shirt. He has black leather bracelets on each wrist with a few rings on his fingers. On his legs, Ren has on slightly baggy jeans with cargo pockets, held up by a dark brown belt. Finally, he wears black combat boots up to his ankles.

Personality: Ren is that guy standing in the middle of a crowd of people, chatting them up with a ridiculously huge smile plastered all over his face. He’s the guy who always thinks of something crazy to do when nobody else’s feeling it, and he’s the one to drag you along whether you like it or not.

He’s extremely sociable and likes to meet new people, especially outgoing, fun-loving ones, as they remind him of himself, and anything to do with him is just the coolest thing ever. Yes, he does think overly highly of himself, though it doesn’t show all that well in everyday conversations. Well, except maybe in that he loves the sound of his own voice, and is one to continue talking long after he’s been told to shut up. See, he has this pretty irritating tendency to just completely ignore anything he doesn’t like. Words, things, people… if he doesn’t like ‘em, screw ‘em, they don’t exist for him. Nothing out there is allowed to ruin his fun.

And that’s all Ren is about; fun. He loves to have a good time, loves being the center of attention and lives only in the moment with a complete inability to make any longtime plans or set goals. He’s competitive and always looking for a new challenge, and is the first one to jump into doing something new he hasn’t tried before because hey, you gotta try everything once, right? Well, except for physical labor, he’s allergic to that.

Flashy, loud, flirty and lacking any sense of personal space, it’s pretty hard to miss him wherever he goes. He’s friendly and overall seems like a pretty good guy, well, at least if you ignore all the little signs constantly telling you something is… a little wrong with him. For example, there was a time when his friend’s loved one died in a car crash, and while everyone else was busy giving their condolences and trying to cheer the poor guy up, Ren was sitting a bit further away, entertaining himself by audibly wondering exactly how the girl had died. Concussion? Did the glass shards fuck her face up before she died? Any broken bones, if so, where? He was quickly told off, and he was profoundly confused. Hey, he had just been wondering, geez. He was just curious, as violence, gore and the like fascinated him. They should have been thankful he was interested in them in the first place.

See, the thing is that Ren lacks any and all forms of empathy. He is unable to feel pity, compassion or anything of the sort towards anyone. It doesn’t mean he hates everyone, it simply means he doesn’t – that he’s unable to – really care about anyone. He likes his friends, yes, they’re fun to hang around with, but if someone asked him to give money to save all of their lives or something, he’d laugh and refuse, because what the hell? Who’d give something - anything - of their own to save someone else? Nope, doesn’t make any sense to him. There isn’t really any tragic story as to why he is like that, he’s just always lacked empathy. Born without a conscience, you could say. So while not exactly diagnosed as a psychopath, sociopath or one with ASPD, he certainly does fit some of the criteria alarmingly well.

His lack of empathy doesn’t mean he goes around hurting or killing people, but it means there isn’t really anything stopping him from doing so. Except, well, the simple fact that he doesn’t want to. He doesn’t find hurting people all that fun so he isn't one to do it, at least, not usually. Things are mighty different when he's mad, and that's when you might want to steer clear from him. After all, he has no emotional restrictions stopping him from doing whatever he wants to those he doesn’t like. He has no limits. No rules.

Luckily enough it’s not all that easy to get Ren pissed off however; he’s pretty laid back overall, preferring not to take anything seriously if he can help it, and so hurling insults at him will do nothing but make him snort and maybe throw a few insults back if he's feeling like it.

He does, however, have a certain dislike for moody people that refuse to lighten up even when he talks to them and drags them to have fun, especially if they audibly express their disinterest. There’s only so much boring gloominess he can take before he decides to force the other to have fun through his fists. Also, that thing about ignoring anything he doesn’t like? Yeah, if he has to ignore someone for too long (as in, they keep telling him to shut up no matter how many times he ignores them), he will eventually snap and take care of the annoyance through more physical means. He never stops smiling, however. He likes to smile, it makes him look good.

History: Renato was born in Malaga, Spain, as the younger of two siblings. His parents were busy, diligent people, who always strove to balance their immense workload and their responsibilities as parents. His father was an actor and his mother a singer, both of their work requiring the pair to travel a lot. They never left their kids alone at home however, and made sure that whenever they moved somewhere temporarily, Renato and his sister got to be with either of the two parents.

While Ren’s sister was an easy child to handle, Ren himself caused trouble from time to time. He was a quiet, usually well-behaved child, but there were some things that often caused alarm in his parents. Any and all small animals had to be kept away from little Ren for one, as he was prone to hurting them on accident during his playtimes and not really comprehending how severe their injuries were. He also started a couple of fires when little, claiming it was simply because he was so very bored and had nothing to do. He didn’t get what the fuzz was about either. He wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. And if someone got hurt, well, they should’ve taken better care not to tread near a freaking fire! This behavior was somewhat cured when he was given other, safer things to play with though, so his parents didn't dwell on it all that much.

Unlike his sister, Ren was never all that interested in school. He did like going there to meet new people, and eventually grew a lot more outgoing than before, but he never liked to study. He never saw the point. Why waste his time reading books when he could be out surfing or playing? It didn’t matter how many times he was told “it’s for your future”, either, as he just couldn’t grasp the concept. He didn’t have any solid hobbies, his interests changing all the time, and since it seemed like he wasn’t all that academically talented, his parents decided to try and have him follow in their footsteps instead, somewhat. See, Ren had always been consider good-looking by his peers, so his parents started to wonder if he could become a model. Ren wasn’t interest at first, but when he realized how much attention he would gather in a job like that, he finally agreed. At first he just did smalltime work; an actor in a commercial for Legos and the like, but as he grew, so did his workload.

His parents were working their asses off with their jobs, his sister was working hers off with her studies, and very soon, Ren found himself forced to do the same with his modeling. He had thought it would’ve been fun, but it was anything but. Tight schedules, smalltime fame that wasn’t worth the effort, all that stuff… he didn’t like it. His parents had been teetering on the brink of a burnout for a while, but it was Ren who was tipped over the edge first. He quit and decided that he’d never, ever work again. Working sucked. Why’d he have to work anyway? His parents were rich, he could just live with their money. They were his parents after all, it was their job to cater to him. It was everyone's job to cater to him.

It was three years ago that he quit his job and by now, most of the fame he had has been forgotten. He was never world famous after all, and while he was pretty well known back in Spain, in England where the family now lived, not many had heard of him, luckily enough. Because while he does love attention, he doesn’t feel comfortable with people mentioning his modeling job; it brings to mind all the stress and work.

Just some months ago Ren switched schools again in search for something new, something fun, something stimulating and so here he is, leaning against the outer wall of The Royal Academy for Higher Learning, already chatting up new people and making friends, hoping this school could provide him with more excitement than the last one did.

Colour of Digivice: Gold, with brown buttons and outlines.

Sovereign: Zhuquimon

Digimon

Species: Hawkmon

Name: Itzamna, “Izzy” as Renato calls him

Gender: Male

Personality: Hawkmon is an eternally curious individual, especially when it comes to anything human. He finds electric appliances and other things not present in the Digimon world (at least, not to his knowledge) immensely fascinating, and has a hard time keeping his talons off of such things. He likes to take things apart and study them, not caring that he sometimes causes unnecessary trouble for Ren that way.

He is always in search of knowledge and loves to learn new things, stopping at nothing to better himself. He’s somewhat serious, though, and doesn’t always like the things Ren does. He also holds a certain sense of justice and chivalry, so he and his partner don’t always exactly get along. Still, he believes that Ren is a good person deep inside and won’t have anyone telling him otherwise. His personality changes a tad when he digivolves and grows more mature and as he does, his sense of justice and intolerance for evil also increases.

Digivolution line: Pururumon - Poromon - Hawkmon - Aquilamon - Crowmon - Valdurmon

Differences: Pururumon and Poromon are like any other of their kind, but starting from his Rookie form, Izzy has some minor differences.

As a Hawkmon he has two feathers sticking out of his head instead of just one, his eyes are a darker shade of blue than usual, and he wears a similar leather bracelet on his left arm as his partner does (needless to say, Ren gave it to him).

As Aquilamon he retains the bracelet, this time on his left leg, and he still has two feathers sticking out from his head. His horns are slightly longer and more curved, and he has a bit bigger wings.

As a Crowmon the bracelet is on his extra leg, and all his colors are a bit darker shade than usual, with his beak being red like his talons.

The biggest change is probably in his Valdurmon form, where his entire body is gold in color, with his wings having a darker hue of said gold than anything else. The bracelet is around his neck.

@CuriousHeartless: Accepted, Would've been better if you had used Bantyoleomon, so at the end of the RP we could've had UltimateKhaosmon, but this will work anyway.

@Niihyl: Sure, Sanzomon is fine.

@GoldenHouou: Accepted.

Also, CyberBlastoise's reserve has run out, which means we now have a new spot open for Zhuquimon Tributes.

Cyber Robert

Shockingly Lovely
Human
Name: Drake Columbus
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: Drake is a 5'9" young man. His lack of outdoor-related activities is shown through his pale skin. He has brown hair that he keeps slightly short and is usually kept messy. His face is comprised of blue eyes, a small nose, and a small bit of stubble on his chin. His arms and legs are bit lanky from the lack of extreme physical exercise, though it's obvious that he isn't weak too.

He often wears a white dress shirt with a black overcoat. He also more often than not have a red tie attached around his neck. He wears a pendant around his neck that is obscured by his tie; on it is a blue stone. His normal attire though is offset by a pair of slightly wore denim jeans. A slightly large pair of glasses fits over his eyes.

Personality: A serious man who prefers reading a good book to most other activities. He is very studious and likes to study, despite the fact that his uncle keeps trying to get him to relax a bit. He cares for the man though and is trying his best to learn from what his uncle is trying to teach him.

He looks up to both his father and his uncle despite their differing personalities. He wants to impress his father much more so due to his stricter guidelines, and he thinks he'll feel a sense of accomplishment from it. He does tolerate many distractions and keeps focused on the task at hand.

History: Drake grew up in Albany, New york with his two parents and younger brother. He was the bookworm of his school, as his father would always push his education very much; he always seemed to study on end without taking many breaks outside of sleep, food, and hygiene. He kept his nose in the books in school as well, not even trying to make a single friend. As he grew older, the others would try to get him to join various clubs and sports, but to no avail. While his mother worried more about his social life, his father saw great potential in his son. As such, about two years prior to the current events, he sent Drake to his brother's (Drake's uncle, Ben) place in Britain.

Ben was a teacher/professor in an academy known as The Royal Academy for Higher Learning, which Drake's father wants him to attend. Unlike Drake's father, Ben was a more laid-back person, despite being a professor at this academy. He would always try to get Drake to relax, which he is starting to learn. Drake does at least get pretty high grades in the school.

Colour of Digivice: Green with a bit of brown
Sovereign: Zhuqiaomon

Digimon.
Species: Goblimon
Name: Goblu
Gender: Male
Personality: Goblu is a very mischievious Digimon. He loves to play pranks on others, especially on Drake. Though he is not a malicious Digimon to say the least, just a guy who wants to have fun. Though he does seem to enjoy it when pranks are pulled on him as well, as it's his opportunity to get revenge.
Digivolution line: Puwamon-> Pinamon-> Goblimon -> Gargoylemon -> SkullBaluchimon-> AncientSphinxmon
Differences: (This is were you put what makes them look different from other Digimon of the same species.)

Ultimate Trainer
.enter Riku [THE HUMAN]

Name| Riku Vincent
Gender| Male
Age| Seventeen

Appearance| Standing at six feet flat and weighing in at some one hundred and fifty pounds with the physique of an experienced athlete, not to mention the cold expression forever plastered on his face, appearance alone can tell that Riku is not a boy to be messed with. His olive skin is stretched across lean muscles, his upper right arm marked with a tattoo of Hawaiian tribal markings. His hazel eyes glitter with clarity and keenness, assessing and examining the world leisurely, not usually focusing on a single aspect of his surroundings. His dark, almost black, hair is kept jagged into a fo-hawk with no real effort to keep it neat.

Usually, Riku's entire person is swathed in warm clothing that both looks good and is comfortable to walk long distances in. He wears a sleeveless Levis denim vest over a white zip-up hoodie that is left unzipped to reveal his white tee that has a hand with only its thumb and pinky fingers up made up of the word "aloha" over and over in red to make up the graphic. Held up by a light grey canvas webbed belt that hangs off his left side after being wrapped around his waist, are his black semi-skinny jeans. He wears a pair of white jordan 3 retro sneakers - kept in perfect condition - loosely tied, the tongue of the shoe bordered in blue with a red brand marking on the tongue.

A red watch circles Riku's left wrist, wrapped over the cuff of his sweater so he'll never have to adjust the sleeve to look at the time. A dark wooden beaded chain hangs from his neck holding a lighter colored roaring tiger pendant. A wooden bead bracelet wraps around his right wrist: cream colored beads that hold a darker shaded boombox charm. A camouflage money pouch is secured to his belt with a short silver chain, often clanking against his right thigh. Mid-sized diamond studded earrings, brilliantly shining whenever he wears them.

History|
Riku was born into a world that many children experienced, but few dared to acknowledge. He grew up in a very old, poor neighborhood on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i. He lived with both his mother, Malia, and with his father, Joshua, for only a short while. A car accident took his mother from him when he was only six, and stricken with grief his father attempted suicide. After that failed, he left him to the care of his grandmother who lived just a few houses down. His memories of his mother are vague, if not almost extinct, those of his father he rather forget. He lived with his grandmother in a small home that she had worked hard and alone for after the disappearance of her husband who was filthy rich from owning one of the largest coconut plantations in the state. His grandmother taught her grandson to only place his trust in himself and no one else, and to never expect things in life unless you worked and earned them. This meant Riku was force to grow up early in order to try and maintain a stable life while he lived with his grandmother. The word was cold and cruel to them, but so long as they had one another's love and support, perhaps things would work out in their favor.

Riku was one of the only child from a poor background at the school he attended. It was otherwise full of wealthy, snotty and spoiled children who would constantly tease him. Unfortunately, life's cruelty didn't stop there. It was no walk in the park; not a single person stood up to defend him or become his friend, no other child came to his side. The young Riku was bullied all throughout elementary and middle school, mostly by the richer kids he was forced to grow up with in school and by the thugs that roamed around the slums he called home. They'd tease him about his hair, his weird eyes or the way he always dressed in rags. It only grew worse up until the point he was sent home early when the rich kids tossed old, rotten cafeteria food on him, and was confronted by the local thugs and mugged. They left him with deep gashes everywhere on his body, all for five dollars. He was alone. Slowly but surely, he began not only to put up a tough guy act for protection, but also a deep hatred for the human race.

When he was eleven, approached by a stranger who revealed himself to be the son of his grandfather who had run off to another family, Riku and his grandmother were given half of his grandfather's coconut plantation as per wish by his Will. His grandfather had died from a heart attack, and left with a hugely successful coconut plantation and millions of dollars. They sold their half of the plantation and agreed to start a new life far away from Kaua'i. It's funny really, the world wants to rush over to Hawaii to escape all their problems at home and relax, while Riku and his grandmother are doing the exact opposite and running away from Hawaii in search for new lives. They found themselves in a very luxurious home, where they settled in and have lived for the past six years. Seventeen year old Riku still attends school but now has a very comfortable life style with his lovable grandmother and their pets: Simba the orange cat and Stitch the dog, as they all enjoy the view of Big Ben.

Personality|
Though Riku suffered a bad childhood and had to endure many obstacles in life he certainly did not turn down the path of 'loving himself, accepting life and growing for the better'. In other words, he strayed far from the role of the fairy tale Gary Stu. He has come to discover that trusting someone is far too dangerous. While most think it's more morally correct to assume someone is good at first impression, Riku does the exact opposite. Everyone he first meets―or even those he's only heard about―are automatically put under 'deceiver'. Anyone could be a liar, a cheater, a heartbreaker.. And he isn't willing to take the time or risk to figure out which they are.

He is known to make witty comments, and is quick to have his walls up and ready for combat. When it comes to other people, he can be a little hostile, rude, or completely ice cold with them. Nevertheless, deep down, beyond all of these quirks and conflicting ideas, lies a young man who only ever wanted a casual life. He's come to accept that that cannot happen now, and it is an endless, poignant feeling in his heart. Life has been a struggle for him, and the only way he's ever known how to live is through survival. Riku knows, that no matter how difficult things get, he will always put on a tough, "I don't give a f*ck" attitude.

Digivice|
Dark teal body, white grip and golden buttons.
Sovereign| Azulongmon

.enter Dre [THE PARTNER]

Species Name| Dracomon
Name| Dre
Gender| Male

Personality| Very kind and compassionate, he can be much like Riku in that he is very calm and serious when the situation calls for it. Though he can act rashly, Dracomon is more cool headed than Riku and less prone to getting into sticky situations, though he follows and protects his partner the entire way. Very philosophical at times, Dracomon will tend to have deep conversations with others and go as far as to question their purpose in life. It could be very interesting, or depressing.

Evolution Line|
Petitmon -> Babydmon -> Dracomon -> Coredramon -> Wingdramon -> Slayerdramon

Differences| During his beginning stage as Petitmon, his eyes are not the usual black, but instead a glossy purple that match the eyes of his next for Babydmon. When he is at said stage, he has no distinguishing characteristics. As Dracomon, the strangest thing happens, his eyes change into a hazel color - identical to Riku's. He also has a white bandanna wrapped around his tail, given to him by Riku.

As Coredramon, Dre's eyes maintain their haunting amber color and the white bandanna wraps around one of his abnormally long tail spikes. His wingspan is a bit longer than a normal Coredramon.

Wingdramon has the bandanna wrapped around the end of his tail, and he maintains both the hazel eyes and the long wing span. The orbs he carries in his hands are a brilliant, clean white instead of a bright yellow.

When Dre reaches Slayerdramon, the bandanna wraps around the hilt and acts as the grip for the blade. His cape is tattered and if one were to lift the cape, hawaiian tribal markings are carved into his back - the very same that Riku has tattooed onto his upper right arm.

Finally, can't wait to start. Welcome in Charizard_Man. And Zekshirom, this would be digi's thing to say, but he seems to nice to for some reason. You've had the reserve for a while and said you would have it up on the second or third, and now it is the sixth, if you can't finish in that long then maybe you shouldn't be joining RPGs. Seriously, that isn't hard to figure out but noone seems to get that. On a lighter note, now I have to go read people's sign-ups so I don't mix all you people up.

I'm glad to be back!
For anyone who cares, the Digi-volution line for my Digimon has changed slightly, but still shares no traits with others :)
