The only thing holding me back is that I would like more people to be involved. 3 people is rough to run anything with.

Knight of RPGs
Name: James Reeve
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Physical Description: At first glance, James doesn't stand out much. Brown-haired and with green eyes, and fairly average height, he seems like just a young man, until you get closer and see how weary he appears for his age. His lean but muscular body is marked by multiple scars from both exploration and combat, and his nose has been broken at least once. His mouth is often set neutrally when he is alone, but when in front of others he smiles, laughs and tries to act confidently to inspire them. He wears a long-sleeved grey shirt with a faded band logo under a black jacket, accompanied by worn jeans. His Digivice is usually clipped onto his belt and he wears plain black shoes. His hair is long and worn messily in the fashion of someone with more important concerns than looking smart, and he wears a fang of some sort on a cord around his neck.

Personality Profile: Getting to know James, you'd always find him with a smile on his face and a laugh at his lips. He is likeable and energetic in a constant sense, always cheering others on even in the midst of combat and being the rock around which a group can collect. Like a warm campfire, he provides comfort and warmth to his allies, the metaphorical heart of the group who tries to inspire others to be their best. To that end, he is courageous but not foolish, knowing when it's best to retreat if the fight is already lost but also when to press forward for victory. When things seem desperate, it's James who has a speech to rouse those fighting at his side and James who's right at the front, fighting with Artanis at his side.

But behind the larger than life persona he's taken on because of the hardships faced in the Digital World, there is weariness and pain. When alone, his mask drops and is replaced by the weariness that someone careful can catch in his eyes even when he makes a rallying speech. Fighting has taken its toll on him, the fight against the Royal Knights one full of setbacks and failure to date. He has the air of one who has watched others around him suffer and die having failed to protect them, and that burden weighs heavily on his shoulders. Taking on the responsibility of fighting the Royal Knights to allow others to escape has seen him struggle again and again, often for naught, and the defeats are soul-crushing. Those among the Tamers who know him well know that if he goes to be alone after a defeat or after hearing of a Tamer camp wiped out, then he is going to cry where others can't see him and be disheartened. But even so, he always comes back afterwards smiling, because his determination to remain in a world he has grown to care about and look after his fellow Tamers is indomitable no matter how much it is tested.

Digivice Description: James' Digivice has an orange body, with white grips and red buttons.

History: Born on Analog in the country of England, James was raised in the south of the country, in a city by the ocean. His early life was fairly good, as the smiling young man found himself with several friends and relatively popular in school. His grades were good and he was a star of the school football team, scoring several game-winning goals. However, his father had a terminal illness which claimed his life when James was eleven, sending his mother into grieving depression and making his once full optimism hollow. Though he tried his best to stay smiling, the loss made his smiles false, and his mask collapsed when he was alone and didn't feel like anyone would worry about him. As he grew into a teenager and moved up to secondary school, James kept up his smiling persona, trying to reinforce it by doing well at sports and school, but the wounds took a long time to feel anything close to healed.

When he was sixteen, shortly after finishing school for the last time and facing an uncertain future, having declined going to college, James received a message from Saga while browsing on his computer and found himself transported to the Digital World when he clicked on it out of curiosity. At first, he was intimidated by the world and its monstrous-seeming inhabitants, but his concern quickly turned to excitement and he began to explore, helping smaller Digimon who he didn't feel might eat him. One such adventure had him searching for a Gabumon lost in the forest, only to find himself confronted by an Agumon who fiercely declared that humans weren't as good as Digimon and that James should just leave such things to the inhabitants of Saga. Riled up by the Agumon's words, James challenged him to see who would find the Gabumon first to prove himself.

With Artanis, the Agumon, accepting his offer, the two set off into the forest separately. James was able to locate the Gabumon, which had become trapped by a hive of Fanbeemon overseen by a Waspmon, and was able to help the lost child escape when Artanis emerged from the trees and distracted the insect Digimon. However, not wanting to see his rival get killed, James ran back to find the Waspmon easily beating the Agumon, who refused to give in. Before the hive commander could strike a killing blow, James leapt into the fray and tackled it aside, urging Artanis to flee back to town while he held back the swarm. Stunned by the human's courage, Artanis watched as James tried in vain to fight the Waspmon, only to be beaten badly. As he tried to struggle to his feet, still smiling in front of the wounded dinosaur Digimon, James proclaimed that he might have won the contest, but he wasn't going to abandon Artanis. Light burned in his hand, forming a Digivice, and Artanis exploded with power. A GeoGreymon erupted from the Digivolution and forced the Waspmon back with ferocious attacks before picking James up and escaping through the trees.

When they got back to town with the Gabumon in tow, Artanis having returned to normal in the meantime, the child's Garurumon mother praised both of them as heroes and other townsfolk applauded them for putting aside their petty rivalry in favor of something more important. Artanis then declared that James had earned his respect and proven that not all humans were weak and cowardly, and that he would be proud to journey beside James and fight with him. There and then their partnership was formed, and it continued for several years, the two travelling together and helping Digimon and Tamer alike. Their mutual respect and bond grew as their experience did, leading them to take on greater threats together and triumph. The two felt undefeatable, such were the obstacles they toppled together.

Then the Royal Knights declared their crusade, and the victories ceased. James was present at the first Tamer camp to be attacked, having headed there to rest after a gruelling brawl with a raging Orochimon, and found himself leading a hopeless defense. The Royal Knights fell upon the camp and the Tamers were struck down in multitudes, caught unprepared and even a desperate attempt to buy time for evacuation saw more partners killed and Digivices shattered. James escaped by chance, pulling a fighting retreat in the face of insurmountable odds and only just escaping Galahad's wrath. As the Knights continued their campaign, James tried to meet them at every turn, wounded inside by the sight of Tamers mourning their beloved partners and the brutal death the Knights dispensed. Every battle was a crushing defeat. All the Knights ever suffered were minor wounds and casualties among their troops that they just shrugged off, while Tamer after Tamer saw their partner slain without remorse. The killing was soul-breaking and several times James considered returning to Analog, but he could never bring himself to, for other Tamers continued to cry out for help and he couldn't abandon them. Though he was hopelessly outmatched, though he and Artanis had been on a knife-edge multiple times, he felt he had to keep fighting for the right of the Tamers to belong and to protect the partner Digimon the Knights were exterminating.

His efforts were recognised. When the Council sent summons for their group to bring the Knights to justice, James and Artanis were called to arms for their persistence and bravery in fighting the Knights and their personal prowess.

Other:

Digimon Partner:
Name: Artanis Dawnflame
Species: Agumon
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Appearance: Like his partner, Artanis is scarred from combat, with one claw on his left hand broken, a wound which persists throughout his evolved forms.
Personality: If James is an inspiring commander, Artanis is the deeds to his words. A firm believer in the power of actions to inspire, he fights his hardest to be an example to those around him, taking pride in setting a precedent of opposing the unjust and the cruel. Helping others is in his blood and the weak in particular, a knightly ideal which he upholds with sheer boneheaded determination if nothing else. Though once he scorned humans as weak and cowardly due to his initial experiences with them, Artanis learned otherwise from his first meeting with James and since then his prejudice has been broken by his partner's example. Now the Agumon believes that Tamers and Digimon together can be a great force for good in the Digital World, with himself and James being his example of that fact. First into battle and the last to leave, Artanis saw the Royal Knights as heroes and is wounded by their actions, but like James, he hides his pain for the sake of those they fight to protect. Hot-blooded, Artanis refuses to retreat before anyone else, leading to him often being moments from death, but he will never change his ways in this regard because he sees it as his duty to die fighting if needs be. He is quieter than his partner, but when he speaks, it is with conviction which cannot be denied and a tempered optimism that if they fight hard enough and endure enough, then a brighter future can be carved for both humans and Digimon. Though it may require sacrifice and pain, he will fight unflinchingly towards that future, no matter what opponents he must face to bring it about.

History: Born into a noble tribe of Greymon warriors who wandered the world in search of glorious battles and worthy enemies, Artanis was raised among soldiers and taught to fight from the youngest age. His family were his instructors and rigorous in their teaching, telling him that fighting to protect others was the most noble of professions and that he should see himself as armor for the weak who could not fight, shedding his blood and suffering pain so they would not have to. Raised in such a way, once he became an adult, he went into the world eager to prove himself a hero. Often he would take on opponents he could not defeat and would have to be saved by others, but he kept fighting regardless, whenever he saw someone crying or someone in peril, he would do everything possible to help them. His courage became famous among the communities he helped, even if many muttered that it was closer to stupidity. But to him, existence was simple: there was evil and injustice in the world, and it was his duty to fight it, even at the cost of his life. So had he been taught and so he lived.

His early meetings with humans were a poor introduction to them, for he found them using their partners to extort supplies from the innocent or causing chaos as they revelled in their newfound power, assisted by the unscrupulous who became their partners. Soured to the Tamers, he began to fight them, believing them to be a curse on the world, and he defeated several before he encountered a partner-less human asking a Garurumon mother where her child had gone. Sure that it had to be a trick, Artanis confronted the human, his doubts unshaken even when the human repeatedly said he was just trying to help. Wanting to prove the human's lies as such, Artanis challenged him to try and find the Gabumon child first if he was so sure of his ability to help, and to his surprise, James accepted.

Artanis knew the forest well and he thought he would surely find the child, and that James would have fled, only to find himself faced by an angry Waspmon who had the child captive after it had wandered into the hive. While Artanis fought, James helped the child escape the distracted swarm. The Agumon was badly beaten by the more powerful Digimon but kept standing, unwilling to submit even in the face of death. But before the final blow could land, James tackled the Champion Digimon aside, shouting for Artanis to run and save himself. A mixture of utter shock and stubbornness kept the Agumon in place even as the human was tossed around by the Waspmon's strength, Artanis faced by the realisation that he had been utterly wrong and that humans were as capable of selflessness and heroism as Digimon. He struggled to his feet once more, struck by the thought that his stupidity was going to cost this human his life as well, and shouted for James to run and save himself in turn. At that moment, fiery light engulfed both the Agumon and James' hand. Artanis rose as a GeoGreymon and swatted the Waspmon aside with a blow of his tail before defeating it with a torrent of fire from his maw, taking the human in his hands and escaping.

After this incident, the two became partners, united by their shared courage and wish to help others. They journeyed the world and fought evil where they found it, helping the vulnerable wherever they could. When the Royal Knights attacked the Tamers, James and Artanis fought against them, the Agumon now utterly convinced that the partnership of humans and Digimon could be a great and wonderful thing and that it should continue. Though they were defeated again and again, Artanis never wavered in his conviction, even if it was painful to face ones he had once looked up to. While his partner broke inside from the pain of seeing partner Digimon slain, Artanis only felt a desire for vengeance grow inside him. The two kept fighting until finally they received a message from the High Council inviting them to join a group opposing the Knights. Both accepted without hesitation, Artanis because he truly wanted to see the Knights brought to justice and that a group sharing their cause could help them achieve that aim.
Higher Forms: GeoGreymon, RizeGreymon, BlitzGreymon
Lower Forms: Koromon

Just let me know if there's anything that needs to change. I finally decided to try again and I like the idea of playing a Tamer-partner duo this time. RizeGreymon is Artanis' highest form at the start of the RPG incidentally, Blitz will be something the two get later.

Knight of RPGs
Doing a second Tamer character, I feel like more Tamers are good and help give us more of a human perspective of things.

Name: Hoshiko Yukimura
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Physical Description: A young Asian woman who initially appears fragile and demure, Hoshiko's pretty face is in front of a soul of steel. Her brown eyes are deep with past pain, but sparkle with happiness at having found a place she belongs, and her black hair is cut to shoulder length. Slender but toned from years of exploring the crevices and caves of Saga, she wears a white short-sleeved shirt over plain grey shorts and leggings, adding a grey jacket in colder weather. Her shoes are sensible but weathered from her exploration, and her clothes have multiple holes and cuts torn into them from the same. She always wears a bag slung across one shoulder, which contains the tools she uses for archaeology and a few especially precious treasures, including personal mementos from Analog. Her Digivice is kept in one pocket, which can be zipped shut to secure the device, and her hands are always covered by dark leather gloves.

Personality Profile: Having bloomed since coming to the Digital World and finding acceptance, Hoshiko is confident and friendly. While quiet and not given to long-winded speeches, she does her best to welcome others and care about them, an attitude that has seen her become a mother figure to younger Tamers coming to Saga for the first time. She deeply loves Saga as the world which accepted her and so she has an insatiable thirst for knowledge about its history and cultures, leading her to spend much time in museums and libraries reading accounts of the past as well as working to dig up relics of eras gone by. While she dislikes battle, her time in Saga has taught her of its necessity, and so though she doesn't fight personally against opponents who could flatten her with a swat of their hand, she will not try to stop others from fighting when she sees the need. Beneath her caring and scholarly exterior is both pain and determination, the painful memories of her past and her determination to stay in Saga. But the other side of the coin is fear, fear that the Knights will win and she will be forced back into a world where all she has left is sorrow and despair, and it is this above all which drives her to fight, the feeling that she is fighting for her very survival as much as to protect those around her.

Digivice Description: Hoshiko's Digivice has a white body, with grey grips and buttons.

History: Originally born in Japan, Hoshiko never knew her native country, as her family was forced to move to America when her father received a transfer to a different division of the company he worked for. Growing up on the West Coast of the US, she was raised to learn both English and Japanese in anticipation that the family might return to Japan one day. She was an isolated child, separated from others because she stood out as different and spoke with an accent adopted from her parents. She had a few friends as she started school, but she was an only child and felt incredibly lonely. Though she did decently at school, she did not excel. Quiet and meek from a terrible lack of self-confidence, she just kept to herself, afraid to reach out for friendship in case she suffered the same rejection she usually did. Her father was distant too, kept from his family by the pressure of his highly demanding job, and though her mother tried not to show it in front of Hoshiko, it was clear that she disliked having to live away from familiar surroundings and seeing her daughter so miserable. Her parents began to argue about their circumstances, perhaps believing she couldn't hear their bitter shouting.

Soon after Hoshiko started high school, still an outcast, her parents were killed in a car accident. Though no one knew much about the circumstances, she always privately believed they had been in the throes of another argument when it happened. Regardless of the circumstances, she found herself orphaned, and her family distant. Her grandparents in Japan were dead from illness and accidents, and her sole remaining relative was her uncle, who like his brother had taken up corporate work in America. She was given to his custody and found him a distant and glacial sort, caring little about her. He seemed to resent being forced to look after her and went about it in a cold, businesslike manner, never offering her the affection and care she received from her parents. Her new school was unwelcoming too, and separated from the few friends she had had, Hoshiko retreated further into herself. The world felt cruel and unwelcoming as she moved through high school, her future terrible and uncertain.

A few months before she graduated from high school, her uncle turned from cold resentment to bitter anger. Perhaps the pressure of his job had grown to unbearable heights or perhaps something else had changed, but he began to drink more heavily than before and Hoshiko found the house scary and unwelcoming. For some time she tried to hide from his bitter rages, knowing she had nowhere else to go, but finally she could bear it no longer and escaped, taking everything she could with her to try her chances on the streets. She wandered them for hours, afraid of the dark and the people lurking in the night, before finally collapsing to her knees and breaking down crying, overwhelmed at last by her isolation and loss. No one heard her tears, and if they did, they did not think to comfort her. She had nothing.

But it was then, at her lowest moment, that salvation arrived. A nearby computer screen in a shop window lit up with a message asking her if she wished to find a home, and cold, hungry and afraid, all she could think to do was cry out "yes". In a moment, she was transported to Saga and found herself near a village of Digimon in the provinces near Ama. They found the young woman, and though they were unsure of this human, they took pity on her when she begged them for help. The Digimon of the village took her in, fed her and allowed her to stay with them for a time, as well as explaining to her where she was. Despite their strange appearances, they did not judge her or shun her as others had back in Analog. It was the most love and care Hoshiko had felt since her parents died, and so she stayed with them for a time, learning about Digimon and the Digital World, taking joy in exploring her new surroundings. She ventured into forests and caves, others coming with her to keep her safe, and in the latter she found glittering stones and the relics of battles long past. Her fascination with the past took root and she began to dig up artifacts and curiosities, selling some, keeping others.

In one of her expeditions, she found a Gabumon X trapped in a cave by a pack of Keramon, who were taking great joy in tormenting the trapped wolf Digimon. Furious at their cruelty, Hoshiko attacked the Keramon with her companions from the village at her side, managing to drive them away and rescue the Gabumon. Once they returned to the village, the injured Digimon explained that her name was Okatsu Sekishusai and that she had gone into the caves to try and drive the Keramon away, only to be overwhelmed. Grateful for the rescue and impressed by Hoshiko's bravery, she swore to serve the human girl as a bodyguard and companion. Initially their relationship was just that, but over time, they grew to be friends and partners, resulting in Hoshiko receiving a Digivice. Together they founded a guild of explorers and treasure-hunters, seeking out relics of the past and valuable curiosities all across the face of Saga. Their expeditions took them across the world, from the icy north of Kaldheim to the vicious jungles of Muraganda, into labyrinthine tunnels beneath Avalon and to long lost temples nestled in the highest peaks. Together they were formidable, Hoshiko's passion for digging up the past leading her to great discoveries, while Okatsu honed her skills in battle with Digimon across the planet in defense of her partner.

But when the Royal Knights unleashed their crusade, business was halted. The Tamers who had joined Hoshiko's guild were targets as much as she was, and so she swore to help protect them in spite of her normal dislike of battle. The Royal Knights launched an attack against them swiftly, perhaps aware of Hoshiko's reputation as one who sheltered and employed many Tamers, and she was forced to retreat. Hiding in the mountains, the group made their way slowly towards Axis Mundi, hoping to beseech the Council for protection. Along the way they were attacked both by the Knights and by Digimon who shared their ideals, whittling down their group further with each battle. Despair began to consume Hoshiko, fear at the thought that the world that had accepted her might now force her to return to a world where she had nothing, but Okatsu's presence at her side was a constant comfort, keeping her resolute on the march to Axis Mundi.

When they finally arrived, having fought off a final ambush by the Knights with the assistance of a group of Tamers and Digimon led by a young man with an Agumon partner, Hoshiko found herself invited to audience with the Council to assist a group aiming to bring the Knights to justice. Accepting immediately, her decision inspired by memories of the friends she had seen grieving and the Digimon she had seen cut down without hesitation, she steeled herself in preparation for battle with the fallen heroes.

Other: Among Hoshiko's possessions is a large wolf fang she discovered in a lost shrine during one of her expeditions. Though she doesn't understand its purpose or why it was so revered, she feels a strange attachment to it and so has held onto it rather than sell it or donate it to a museum. While she knows her Digivice can open portals back to Analog, Hoshiko has never returned since coming to Saga and so her only awareness of events since she left are anecdotes from other Tamers.

Digimon Partner:
Name: Okatsu Sekishusai
Species: Gabumon X
Gender: Female
Age: 30
Appearance: Okatsu mostly looks like a normal Gabumon X, but has samurai-esque shoulder plates that persist through her forms.
Personality: Noble and fierce, Okatsu is a warrior from a family of warriors, raised to believe in the nobility of combat. Honor is everything to her and it is this which initially fuelled her loyalty to Hoshiko before she grew truly fond of the human, and which dictates her actions. Outside of battle, she is always composed and graceful, speaking with absolute politeness, and if one manages to break her composure, it is an achievement indeed. In battle however, her bestial instinct and training take over, leading her to fight mercilessly until the enemy is dead or she physically cannot continue. She deeply cares for Hoshiko and will do whatever it takes to protect her, knowing that the young woman isn't suited to battle in a world of Digimon and treating her as her lord.

History: Okatsu was born and raised in the shadow of Ama, in a community of samurai. She was trained in combat like her peers, taught to fight with both her claws and fangs and with a blade, for that was their way, inspired by the legendary Garurumon warrior who fought as part of the Great Ten. She excelled in battle, defeating many of her fellow warriors in practice duels and impressing her mentors with her dedication and skill. But despite being so exceptional, she felt as though she was fighting merely for its own sake rather than for a cause she believed in or someone she cared about. Some of her fellows attempted to woo her, but she felt only warrior respect for them and so denied their advances. Once she came of age, she left, searching for a lord who she could follow unceasingly or some cause for which she could fight in satisfaction, but all she accomplished was defeating bandits and rescuing the odd stranded child. While these were good deeds, she didn't feel satisfied by them, and so she continued on her journey.

While resting in a town in which a human girl was staying, Okatsu heard tales of a Keramon swarm infesting a nearby cave, and decided to clear them out in case they grew more dangerous. However, she had severely overestimated herself and was overwhelmed, disarmed and tortured by the group. When she had resigned herself to death, however, she was rescued. The human girl from the town attacked the Keramon, accompanied by several Digimon from the town, and they were able to drive off the swarm and rescue the fallen Gabumon. Being nursed back to health in the town, Okatsu found the human girl watching over her and impressed by Hoshiko's bravery, the samurai swore to serve her. While initially Hoshiko tried to dissuade her, Okatsu could not be convinced otherwise, feeling that the human was a worthy master and admiring her bravery and compassion. Eventually Hoshiko relented and the two became first allies, then friends and finally partners, signified by the Digivice that appeared to Hoshiko. They travelled the world together, establishing a guild of treasure hunters and explorers to satiate Hoshiko's third for knowledge about Saga and its history, uncovering many relics of the past and lost shrines all across the face of Saga. Tamers came to Hoshiko in search of work and adventure, causing their guild to expand and accomodate human and Digimon alike in a symbol of what the world could be, and Okatsu took pride in helping her partner create such a welcoming place, defending it from those Digimon who rejected humans with violence.

But then the Royal Knights themselves declared humanity an abomination and launched their crusade. The guild home was one of the first places attacked, likely for its legendary status, and Okatsu led a retreat from the premises, fighting the Knights with every step back and killing many of their soldiers with the help of her allies. But the battle was lost before it began, for none present could stand against the Knights, and Hoshiko ordered that they flee through the mountains and towards Axis Mundi to seek the Council's protection. The journey was long and gruelling, many more perishing from harsh conditions and raids by the Knights, but they finally arrived. Okatsu could still feel the blood that had been shed on her fur, could still hear the screams of anguish from slain Digimon and grieving Tamers alike, and though she always maintained her composure, she wanted dearly to slay the Knights for the pain and misery they had caused those she cared about. So when the Council asked her and Hoshiko to serve as part of a group to fight the Royal Knights and bring them to justice, Okatsu's acceptance was inevitable.

The Reforged Soul
I'll finish up my new character sign-up soonish. I had been holding off to see if anyone else signed up.

Samayouru

Rabid Dusclops Fan
That's it, I'm signing up for this RP. I've been mulling over this one for a while and finally decided to cave in.

I thought I'd go for something a little different: a younger tamer. I do realise that making her believable will be hard to pull off considering this character is a kid, hence why there is a lot of stuff in her history. This SU ended up being four pages long so I might've overdone it a little bit. :p

Tamer

Name: Fiona Lowe

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Physical Description: Fiona is typically Aryan – with locks of blonde hair that reaches her shoulders and deep blue eyes, she almost looks like a doll. She has very smooth features thanks to her youth, and can come across as quite dainty and poised. She generally wears what she believes to be smart-looking clothes, including a white office shirt, a grey skirt that reaches her kneecaps, and black shoes. All of these were made by her mother, as well as a gold bracelet she keeps on her right wrist at all times. She fixes her clothes herself, so while they've become quite dirty since she arrived in Saga, they're still relatively intact. She usually has a rucksack on her possession that contains books, notes, scribblings and writing equipment for her studies. She does have a few scrapes and scars from battles, but there's nothing she can really do about them.

Personality Profile: Fiona’s appearance betrays her personality. Underneath those innocent-seeming blue eyes is a person with a firm grip and an even firmer sense of maturity. She likes to invest most of her time into reading and writing, studying whenever she gets the chance. She does not like the fact that most other people treat her like, as she puts it, “a small child who cannot think for themselves” and will insist that she be talked to in the same manner as an adult would. She can also be relentlessly determined – whatever it is she wants, she will constantly chase after until she either gets it or becomes too tired mentally, physically or both to continue pursuing it. Fiona can stay remarkably calm in battle, and will search for anything she can use to her advantage, no matter how small that advantage might be. This line of thought has been influenced by the many people throughout time who’s decisions either made or broke the wars they were fighting. She also has a habit of stating what she thinks to be obvious, which can be rather grating at times.

There is, however, another side to Fiona and she is able to hide this incredibly well – uncertainty. Ever since she became aware of what the Royal Knights were doing, she has begun to ponder what would happen if she joined the faceless multitudes of Tamers who’ve lost everything the Digital World has given them. She refuses to think that she’s afraid, but deep inside she knows that she is terrified of seeing her partner get destroyed and having to be forced back to Analog, never to see her partner again.

Digivice Description: Fiona’s Digivice is royal purple with pastel purple coloured grips and buttons.

History: Hailing from West Germany, Fiona came from a very wealthy family. Her mother made designer clothes while her father was a diplomat, both of which had quite time-consuming lives, so Fiona became very used to having nannies take care of her. Because of her father’s job, Fiona became very interested in learning about the world, and it didn’t take long for her to read and write. It soon became obvious that she was highly intelligent, and wanting to see her go far in life, her parents had her admitted to a boarding school as soon as she was old enough.

It was when Fiona turned ten that she realised that something was missing from her life – it didn’t take her long to figure out what was wrong. She began to notice the things her parents were saying whenever she got the chance to speak to them, usually saying: “oh, that’s nice, dear,” and other things that always sounded like they weren’t really focussing on her at all. Fiona sort of understood this – time-consuming jobs can be very draining, after all – but she couldn’t help but feel a little bit left out of her parents’ lives. So to address this issue, Fiona surmised that the best thing she could do was impress her parents by becoming the top of her classes.

While she succeeded at doing this, throwing herself into her studies did nothing to really change the way her parents addressed her. But still, Fiona worked as hard as she could to gain her parents’ approval, jumping through more and more elaborate hoops to try and get the attention she wanted. It soon started to take a toll on her mind, and while Fiona didn’t show it to her friends, every failed attempt made her feel worse and worse about herself. This eventually resulted in her spending most of her free time in the library, comforting herself with her favourite books, attempting to drown out her sadness with escapist fantasies.

It was in this very library that Fiona’s life as she knew it changed. For her, it was just going to be another afternoon of sitting down at the desks near the computers and chewing through another five or six chapters of another novel. She had only just sat down when she noticed that one of the monitors was acting very differently from the others. She went over to inspect the white screen, and was about to go and fetch the librarian to point the issue out when she noticed that something was happening. Text began to appear, one letter at a time, until Fiona realised that what was being spelled out to her was a question: Do you wish to change your circumstances?

Fiona’s fingers were quicker than both her brain and her common sense. She sat down at the keyboard and typed out “yes” within a heartbeat. At one moment she was in the library, the next, she found herself in Saga, waking up in a village south of Jericho. Her rescuers were the oddest creatures she’d ever come across in her life – they were orange, bean-shaped creatures with little bat wings on their heads, and were apparently monsters known as Digimon – Patamon, to be precise. Fiona was cautious, however the villagers seemed well meaning and they seemed genuinely interested in learning about her and the world she came from.

But one of these creatures stood out amongst the rest. He was a sharp contrast from the others – being completely purple with striking, yellow eyes – and the other Patamon seemed nervous whenever he was around. This Digimon was tasked with bringing Fiona something to eat, and when she asked him why he was so different from the others, he was reluctant to answer. Fiona wasn’t going to take this for an answer, and every time the purple Patamon came back she would talk to him, eventually learning that he was, in fact, a Tsukaimon called Denys – and he was meant to be the exact opposite of what a Patamon was, hence why the villagers seemed scared of him.

Regardless of this, Fiona and Denys soon went from acquaintances to friends, discovering that they actually quite liked being around each other – and this bond was proven when an Airdramon attacked the village two weeks later. Even Fiona, with all her determination, knew that there was no way in hell she could win this fight, and fled alongside Denys and the other Patamon. Being a larger target, the Airdramon began to chase her, ready to snatch her up in its teeth. But before it could do that Denys pushed Fiona out of the way – getting badly wounded by the Airdramon in the process. Distraught by this, Fiona returned to take Denys in her arms, and carry him to safety. When he asked her why she was helping a virus Digimon like him, she responded, with tears in her eyes: “You’re my friend, Denys. That’s what friends are supposed to do for each other, right?”

At that moment light surrounded Denys, and when Fiona set him down out of surprise, another light exploded in her hands – forming her Digivice. Denys then Digivolved into a Devimon and locked horns with the Airdramon, eventually defeating it and saving the village from being destroyed. The two of them were hailed as heroes and Fiona began to realise that she felt more at home here than she ever did back in Analog. She would have to return home at some point – that was inevitable – but until then, she vowed that she would learn as much as she could about Digimon, eventually leaving the village with Denys in tow. They travelled around for a bit, eventually bumping into other tamers and their partners, and did the best they could to learn the ropes of being a tamer.

The two of them were with a group of tamers when the Royal Knights began their crusade – and in one fell swoop both Fiona and Denys were shown what would happen to them if they found themselves overpowered. They were ambushed by a group of Digimon who had sworn loyalty to the Knights, and the majority of the group was overwhelmed. Partner Digimon were destroyed, Digivices were smashed and tamers were forced home, crying and mourning the loss of their friends all the way. Finding themselves outmatched, the rest of the tamers were losing hope – until Fiona spied a tight canyon not too far away, as well as noticing how all of the Digimon that were attacking were all incapable of flight or gaining quick amounts of speed in a short amount of time.

Like Leonidas to his Spartan troops, Fiona led the way through the small passage, and managed to buy everyone time to escape by getting the Digimon to try and force their way through the small canyon. Most of these Digimon were fairly young, so breaking through proved to be more time consuming than they’d thought. By the time they’d gotten through, Fiona and the survivors were long gone. It was this act of tactical leadership, as well as keeping the rest of the tamers and their partners alive until they reached Axis Mundi, that earned Fiona the attention of the High Council. She, alongside other tamers, were summoned to help stop the Knights and their bloody crusade – while she was unsure of having to bear such a huge responsibility, Fiona accepted, feeling that if some of the most powerful beings in Saga could treat her like she was an adult, then she clearly had something to prove.

Other:

Fiona speaks with a posh German accent.

Fiona has pretty much decided that once she’s old enough, she intends to become a diplomat like her father – only here she intends to improve relations between the people of Analog and the Digimon of Saga.

One of the rewards that Fiona received from helping some tamers stop a group of Coredramon was a red jewel. It was a gift from an elderly Gottsumon whose jewel store was protected by Fiona and Denys. While Fiona has no use for it, she has kept the jewel in her possession – partially because of the sentimental value, and partially because she feels like selling it or getting rid of it would be a bad idea (and kind of rude considering it was a gift).

Digimon Partner

Name: Denys Angelus

Species: Tsukaimon

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Appearance: Just your average Tsukaimon. Nothing to see here, folks.

Personality: Denys is exactly the opposite of what a virus Digimon should be – soft spoken and mild mannered, Denys s a Digimon that tries his best to be as friendly as possible. He feels much happier and more content with the way he is, and is starting to accept that he is a virus Digimon and there’s probably nothing he can change about that. Yet even now, despite having a tamer who clearly cares for him and his wellbeing, Denys still worries over how others perceive him, and this can affect his ability to cope with others if he knows he is being judged. He tries not to let these fears bother him as much as they used to, and with Fiona by his side, he tries to be strong for her sake.

History: Denys was born to a clan of Patamon where he was brought up to believe in the most important values of being good and kind to others. Of course, being brought up by other Patamon, Denys believed that one day he’d end up Digivolving to become like his siblings and then eventually become an Angemon, a noble Digimon that many others looked up to.

But this would not be the case for Denys. The day he Digivolved was a day he would come to look back upon as bittersweet. It happened during breakfast, when the young Tokomon suddenly found his body filling with energy and was enveloped in the familiar light that Digivolution is associated with. But when this was over, he found himself looking a bit different from what he’d hoped. The first thing that caught his attention was how surprised his family members looked, taken aback by his appearance. The second thing that he became aware of was that he had most certainly not become a Patamon, but rather a Tsukaimon – the exact opposite of everything that being a Patamon stood for.

While his family accepted his different form, Denys did not cope so well. He was well aware of the looks others in his clan gave him, and could pick up on the concerned whispers coming from Digimon he once considered perfectly friendly neighbours. While he kept a pleasant façade, the worry and fear began to build up – and there was only so far he could go before it would become too much for him to bear alone.

It was on a bright, sunny day that something ended up in the village. Something none of the villagers had ever come across before: a human girl. They found her unconscious in the village centre, and while they were wary about her they decided in the end to take care of her until she woke up. When she did, she was just as confused about the villagers as they were with her, but she seemed nice enough to take in at the time. It was left to Denys to bring her food, and when he did, she asked him why he looked so different from everyone else. Denys was reluctant to talk about it, but as time went on and the two began to learn about each other, Denys found that he actually liked being around the girl.

But about two weeks after the girl came to stay with the Patamon clan; the village was put under attack by a rogue Airdramon. Unable to fight back, the Patamon were only able to flee and watch as their village was being destroyed bit by bit. While Fiona fled with Denys, the Airdramon turned and targeted the two of them, and realising this, Denys shoved Fiona out of the way before the Airdramon could clamp her in its jaws – resulting in him getting seriously wounded in the process. Distraught that her new friend had gotten hurt, Fiona ran back to carry Denys back to safety, and when he asked her why she was helping a virus Digimon like him, she responded: “You’re my friend, Denys. That’s what friends are supposed to do for each other, right?”

Within that moment everything changed – power exploded through Denys’s body and the next thing he knew, he had Digivolved into a Devimon. He didn’t care that he’d become the inversion of Angemon, he didn’t care what the other Patamon thought about him, in that moment all Denys cared about was protecting his family, his home and Fiona. The Airdramon was defeated easily and when Denys reverted back to being a Tsukaimon he suddenly found that those who’d given him nervous looks and scared glances were now celebrating, praising him for protecting the village.

From that moment on Denys and Fiona became partners, eventually leaving the village and travelling around to meet and learn from other Tamers and their partners, fighting to make Saga a better place for everyone. While he was hesitant about accepting the Council’s invitation to join the battle against the Royal Knights, Denys eventually accepted alongside Fiona with the hope that other Digimon would see that perhaps it is better to band together – regardless of being vaccine, data or virus – to fight for a good cause.

Digivolution Line: Tokomon > Tsukaimon > Devimon > Mummymon > Pharaohmon

Going to add one more Digimon to my roster if that's cool. Gotta round out my trio.

Name: Henry Vane

Species: Captain Hookmon

Gender: Male

Age: 33

Appearance: Much like the typical Captain Hookmon, Henry appears to be a middle-aged man, handsome but rough around the edges, in full stereotypical pirate captain garb. A large, wide-brimmed black hat emblazoned with the skull and crossbones rest on his head, while an unruly mop of ash-gray hair sprawls out from beneath it. His eyes are bright blue, like the sea, and several scars mar his otherwise ruggedly masculine face. His skin is colored by a well-set-in tan, and his physique is slim but made of raw, lean muscle.

A black button up shirt, complete with gold buttons and trim (real gold mind you), covers his torso, but it looks almost like it was hemmed too short, ending a few good inches before his waist and leaving a bit of his lower torso exposed. A plain white undershirt of similar proportions can just barely be seen tucking out from the edges. The black shirt is completely sleeveless, leaving the white undershirt as his sleeves, ending in red-trimmed cuffs. Over this, Henry dons a jacket the same black and gold coloration. The collar and sleeves are folded back, revealing the inner layer to be a bright red color. The jacket is held on by a single button at the collar, the remainder of the jacket, including the sleeves, free to billow out behind him dramatically. Holes from various gunshots, burns, and other hazards dot the jacket. A plain pair of black pants, brown leather shoes, and a leather belt complete with gun holster completes the ensemble.

Henry is armed with a black and silver revolver he affectionately calls his “first mate”. The handgun has a ridiculously long barrel complete with sharpened edges, allowing him to use it as a gun and a rapier. In addition, he carries a wicked looking harpoon gun that fires triple-hooked anchors, and his version of a peg leg, a massive revolver that is, quite literally, his right leg, the gun barrel extending from knee to boot, where a expertly crafted hinge keeps the boot sturdy enough to walk on but flips it out of the way to let him fire.

Personality: Henry refers to himself as a “gentleman thief”. In other words, though he is a pirate who will rob you blind without a second thought, he holds himself accountable to a code of honor. He doesn’t harm innocent bystanders, he only robs from those he feels deserve it, he doesn’t kill without reason, and he treats his crew fairly. He feels that this “pirate’s code” sets him apart from the common rabble and degenerates that most think of when they hear the word pirate. In many ways, he is right. Though, that very same code may have been what led to his downfall, a topic that will probably never be safe waters to steer a conversation with him towards. He has been known to rob a town’s wealthy one day, loudly and publicly declaring himself responsible, then secretly return days later to distribute a fair share of the spoils near the poor citizen’s homes. He keeps a large “service fee” for himself of course, but the way he sees it, he’s doing the world a favor by taking down those who hoard wealth. The irony is completely lost on him.

Henry’s approach to life can be summed up in three words: never back down. As headstrong and stubborn as they come, he will face every obstacle head on until he eventually prevails or the obstacle gives up. Don’t misunderstand, Henry is quite clever. He didn’t get to captain his own ship and crew on willpower alone. But he will not accept defeat as a possibility. He will try every tactic, every play, every cheap trick and blunt force approach until something gets the job done. To stand in his way is to declare yourself an unmovable object to his unstoppable force and bet that you are correct. Fueling this superhuman perseverance is Henry’s desire to be a truly free man. Not just free in the general societal sense that most people mean, but truly free. Free to do whatever, whenever, however he sees fit, damn the consequences and the naysayers. Freedom is his highest virtue, and he will fight with everything he has to ensure that no one is ever chained down against their will.

Second only to freedom on Henry’s virtue list is honor, loyalty, and honesty, and he holds himself accountable to these as much as he does everyone else. Some might say that binding himself to a code of conduct defeats the point of his whole “freedom” crusade, but to Henry that code is all that separates him from the dregs and lowlife scum that poison the world. “To have standards,” he would say, “is to recognize that our base pleasures and vices can bind us down as strongly as any chain.” That said, Henry is still a pirate. And though his code forbids him from hurting without cause, he won’t hesitate to shoot someone in the leg if he feels they asked for it.

History: Henry Vane was once the captain of the feared pirate vessel, the Queen’s Ransom. For years, Henry and his crew pillaged castles, forts, towns, and other ships from one end of Saga to the other, never staying in one place too long and never sticking to any one direction. This made the galleon nearly impossible to catch and its captain even harder to predict. Thus, the Queen’s Ransom gained in fame and notoriety until the mere rumor of its passage would send every nobleman in the port scrambling to lock up their possessions.

That ship had been Henry’s life as far back as he could remember. As the child of the former captain, when his father was killed in a clash with a rival pirate gang, the ship was passed to him. He never knew his mother. His father, William, would tell him stories about the fair maiden who had stolen his heart, but the details changed so often that Henry was never sure where to even begin to search for her identity, or even if she was still alive. At times, she was a mermaid who saved him from drowning; other times a noble’s daughter, smitten by his charms, or a pirate queen who bested him in a duel. Henry gave up searching for her long ago.

Since his father’s passing, Henry’s unwavering passion and quick wit made the legend of the Queen’s Ransom grow even more. The ship and its crew had achieved legendary status, even the other pirate kings acknowledged their prowess. His code of conduct, the gentlemanly rules he followed without fail, made him as popular with the poor rabble as was feared by the wealthy. But that very code made him blind to the treachery of his own crew.

As much as their wealth and fortune had grown, Henry’s code kept them from pillaging some targets. It kept them from keeping the whole of the spoils. And it kept them from terrorizing the ports they hit. And for Henry’s first mate, an Astamon named Avery Tew, that wasn’t good enough. Avery bided his time, converting what part of the crew he could to his side until the night they made their move. Henry woke up bound and gagged to the sound of fighting aboard his ship as Avery’s men dispatched his loyal crew. Finally, when the ship was his and Henry was forced to watch the whole of the carnage, Avery placed a single battle-damaged coin in Henry's pocket, shot him in the chest, and tossed him overboard. Despite his injury, Henry managed to escape his bonds, but he was stranded, adrift in the middle of the sea in the dark of night. He drifted for hours, injured, treading water, struggling to keep his head above the surface and air in his lungs.

He awoke the next morning, face down in the sand of a beach, dazed, weak, and sunburnt, but alive. By some small miracle, Avery's bullet hadn't struck true. He shambled to a nearby town where he walked into the first tavern he found, sat at the bar, ordered a straight glass of the strongest rum in the house, downed it in a single gulp, and promptly passed out. He came to later in an infirmary, owing his continued state of living to the Wizardmon bartender who had dragged him to the doctor. He spent the next five years searching for any trace of Avery and his ship. He chased every lead, every sighting, every rumor, from every corner of Saga, but to no avail. He has vowed not to give up the chase until he gets his revenge on the traitor and reclaims his father’s ship.

Eventually, his search led him to a pub in Avalon where he was chasing down a rumor that a member of Avery’s crew was hiding out in the area. That was, until the bar brawl to end all bar brawls broke out and he found himself fighting off a bunch of random inebriated strangers and a god of fire. Afterwards, he learned about the issues with the Royal Knights seeking to impose their will on the rest of Saga. Though it set off his indignation at their gall, Henry wasn’t going to abandon his chase to go fight that battle. At least, not until he saw how few of the survivors returned and how many of them walked away, leaving the Knights to their crusade. Something in him compelled him to support the cause then, to not let the elite cast chains over the world simply because they thought they could. Because no one was willing to tell them "No." So, putting his personal vendetta on the backburner, Henry made his way to the council chambers to declare his support to the cause.

Digivolution Line:
Higher Forms: AvengeKidmon
Lower Forms: Hookmon > Shakomon > Poyomon

Other: The battle-marked coin that Avery stuck in his pocket is still there. One way or another, Henry will return it. Possibly after melting it into a bullet.

The Reforged Soul
You would not believe the trouble I had getting this monster posted tonight, but it's finally done.

Kamotz, if these two are acceptable and not too much trouble to ask, I'd like to have these guys meet up with Theo and the Guardians at the likely conflict at Kaladesh.

Name: Andrea 'Andi' Mercer
Age: 19
Gender: female
Physical Description: Andrea has a height of 5’7’ with a larger athletic figure from an active lifestyle. She has shoulder-length dark brown hair which is typically tied back in a single braid. A few long bangs frame her face around her green hazel eyes. Light freckles grace across her cheekbones and her skin is very tan from being outside all the time.

Andrea is quite the tomboy and prefers practical and comfortable clothes for outdoor use. Her usual outfit includes a dark blue tank top with a form-fitting forest green jacket over top and dark brown shorts. She dislikes socks and wears hiking sandals everywhere. On her head, a faded forest green army cap is always present to shield her eyes and a set of warped dog tags hang on a chain around her neck. She wears black finger less gloves with a blue paracord bracelet on her left wrist. During her travels, she wears a hip bag over her shorts and a heavy duty back packet with survival essentials.

Personality: Steadfast and fearless, Andrea is a pillar of support for those that need it. She can often keep a level head in dire situations, especially when other around her might panic. Very tolerant, Andrea isn’t particular opinionated and generally willing to hear people out before making her own conclusions. She would rather observe a situation first before acting or speaking her mind.

On first impressions, Andrea might stand as the odd bird out or not, very quiet. reserve and keeping to herself. She often lingers at the edge of groups, content to be left to her own devices. Not from any lack of confidence, she simply dislikes being the center of attention and talking about herself. However, with time Andrea will open up to close friends and family and transform into a much more chatty and animated individual, especially concerning topics of interest. Andrea does have an occasional stubborn streak once she's made her mind up on something.

Andrea is truly in her element in the great outdoors. A spirited adventurer and survivalist, she travels the extremes environments of Saga to discover new regions and ecosystems. Growing up in the Colorado mountains, she's always prefer the quiet outdoors to a noisy city. The older teen loves a challenge anywhere from hiking, rock climbing, or tracking wildlife and stealthy creeping as close as she safely can for a good look. The teenager has a sharp eye for detail, often sketching scenes or objects that catch her attention.

Despite her sometimes reclusive nature, Andrea has a compassionate heart for others and a strong sense of duty. She honors the memory of her father by entering the public service as a wildland firefighter and rescue worker. Andrea is often adaptable and rescourceful in her thinking and methods for any disaster that may occur in the fire season or during her travels. Always looking to be prepared, Andrea is trained in advanced first aid.

Her partner, Deneb, is the first real friend she has completely opened too since her father passed, with the exception of Kyle and her mother.

Digivice Description: The digivice's main body is a forest green with dark brown side grips and black buttons.

History: In the human world of Analog, Andrea was born near the mountains and thick boreal forests of Colorado to a hard-working blue-collar family of four. Quinten, her father, operated as certified helicopter pilot for the Ranger Outpost at the nearby national park for search and rescue, aerial surveys, and transport support for firefighter crews during the fire season. Her mother, Mariah, was a part-time forester for the Forest Service and assumed primary care for Andrea and her older twin brother, Kyle, since her husband was away on duty majority of the time. Andrea and her brother were very close growing up as they only had each other for company. She adored and looked up to her father. Andrea's clearest memories of him were the times Quinten allowed her to sit on his lap in one of the many helicopters at work, wearing his flight helmet, and pretending to fly the helicopter on a daring rescue.

Tragedy struck the family, when the twins were 7-years-old. Their father, Quinten, was steering over a raging wildfire in search of a missing fire crew, when a freak crosswind spun his helicopter out of control and crashed into the raging fire below. Each family member reacted differently, Mariah grieved for her husband, but carried on for the twins. Kyle was visibly upset and lashed out occasionally in the disruption of their life. Andrea came to term with her grief sooner and kept her father's dog tags around her neck as a constant reminder of him. Though still very young, she wordlessly helped Mariah around the house more, growing independent and learning to take care of herself and her brother.

Mariah returned to full-time work with the Forest Service to support herself and the twins, often relying on a retired neighbor to supervise the children when they weren't in school. For a time, the twins leaned on each other immensely in the years following. However, their interests divulged with Kyle more preoccupied with dismantling discarded computers and electronics to rebuil them. Andrea followed in her parent's footsteps and immersed herself in the natural world, exploring every corner of the forest surrounding their old two-story home. She made secret stashes of the treasures she found: feathers, colorful river rocks, bird nests, broken aged glass, dried flowers, acorns, arrows, and the occasionally fossil. Seeking true solitude, Andrea often climbed into the trees with a drawing pad and sketched the birds and wildlife she observed.

One afternoon, at age fourteen, she went upstairs to check in on her brother, only to discovered his room was empty and his computer screen on. Confused, Andrea searched the house and yard for Kyle, but saw no sign of him. Getting ready for supper later than evening, the twins ran into each other in the hallway. Kyle pretended as though he'd been in the house the entire day and they just missed each other, when Andrea questioned him about his absence. He'd been acting weird the last few months and Andrea was determined to find out why. The tomboy climbed up to the roof with ease the next day at the same time and spied into his window. Standing before his computer, Kyle held a strange device and disappeared in a flash of light.

Baffled, but not alarmed, Andrea slipped in through the window to investigate. The bedroom was definitely void of her brother, but his computer emitted a soft glow of a landscape Andrea had never seen before. Mesmerized, the fourteen-year-old drew closer to the screen, when a single line of text appeared.

“WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN THE ADVENTURE?

Andrea pondered the question for only a moment and without hesitation typed onto the keyboard:

YES

Her vision imploded and woke up to find herself in a dense forest, a different landscape than what she saw on the computer. Dusting herself off, Andrea climbed up the nearest tree to study her surroundings and began sketching key landmarks in the small notebook she carried with her. A buzzing commotion sounded not far from her, so she dropped down to check it out. A swarm of Flybeemon were ganging up on a grounded Hawkmon, who wandered into their territory. Thinking swiftly, Andrea cobbled together a torch and lit it with the matches from her hip bag. Rushing into their midst, the young teen swung the flaming branch back and forth, startling the insect digimon with its heat and smoke. Using precious seconds, Andrea grabbed the injured hawkmon and dove into a nearby river to disappear beneath its surface. A strong swimmer, Andrea kept hers and the unconscious bird mon's head above water and eventually using the swift current to carry them ashore.

Finding a dry and secure location, Andrea built a warm fire and examined the strange creature she'd rescued. One wing was badly swollen with an embedded stinger. Carefully with tweezers from a water-proof first aid kit, Andrea removed the large stinger causing the strange bird to groan in pain. Taking a sock, she soaked it into the cold river and used it as a cold compress to help reduce the swelling. The bottom of her shirt now dried, she ripped the cloth into strips to lightly secure the soaked sock to the wing. Done with all she could do, Andrea sat and waited as night fell. When the creature woke up, Andrea introduced herself and what had happened after she found him. The red and white bird, Deneb, thanked her. As they rested in their shelter, Deneb answered Andrea endless questions on what he was and where they were. Andrea listened to the hawkmon's deliberate way with words and soothing tone of voice, finding herself smiling and comfortable in his company. A very rare occurrence with someone she just met.

Unable to return home for the time being, Deneb invited the teen to join him in his travels (her water logged sketch of the terrain had caused his eyes to glow with excitement). The pair bonded that night sharing stories with one another about themselves and their home worlds. Their travels together would shortly find themselves aiding a Baronmon merchant from an attacking Woodmon with Andrea gaining a digivice and Deneb evolving to Kiwimon. As thanks, the Baronmon gifted the new partners with half a map of Saga and an odd artifact (which looked like a black shoe with a jagged spike jutting out).

Using the map with circled landmarks, Andrea and Deneb headed off on a greater and grander adventure than either had expected. Their friendship grew and they would discover the true nature of Baronmon's artifact as the Digimetal of Friendship, allowing Deneb to evolve Thunderbirdramon. The circled locations on the map proved to be hidden cache of other Digimetals upon locating the Digimetal of Sincerity deep in a jungle. During the partners' two year adventure to locate all three digimetals, Andrea learned from fellow tamers on how to return home a month or so in. Fortunately, she'd been transported to Saga during summer vacation. However, her mother was furious, when Andrea gave the excuse of camping in the mountains without telling anyone.

Grounded for the remaining summer vacation, Andrea confided with her twin, Kyle, on where she'd really been with a sly smile. Her brother gagged on his drink in shock. The twins had drifted apart in their relationship in the recent year or two. Now, both of them shared a secret. Oddly enough, they both decided to keep to their own separate adventures in the digital world, covering for each others absence in Analog. Both siblings exchanged stories when they were together at home trying to out do the other in exciting tales.

When Andrea was 16, she and Deneb joined the Frontier Rescue & Other Services guild located outside of the digimon/tamer joint city, Kaladesh, that was directed by a RaptorSparrowmon, Sal Lightspeed. Frontier Rescue associated with other guilds as far west as Tir-Na-Nog and east to Ama and employed both digimon and humans in its ranks. Sal was particularly interested in Deneb and Andrea since their use of digimetals was advantageous for a variety of missions. Frontier Rescue became the partners home base in Saga for the next two years.

In the fall of Andrea's senior year of high school, Kyle left Colorado on a train ride to visit a recruitment center for the military across country. A day later, Mariah received a sobering phone call in the early hours of the morning. The train transporting her brother derailed with massive causalities, among them was Kyle. A friend from her father's helicopter crew flew the surviving mother and daughter to the city closest to the accident. Making arrangements for Kyle to be returned home for burial, the rescue workers returned her brother's recovered possessions to the grieving family. Andrea pocketed the darkened digivice lying abandoned in the bag.

A few days after the funeral, Andrea returned to Saga where Deneb was waiting faithfully for her. With silent tears, the 18-year-old told Deneb about her brother and showed him the silver and yellow digivice. A expression of horror and understanding grew on the hawkmon's face. With a heavy heart, Andrea asked for her partner's help in locating her brother's partner. Using information from a journal her brother kept and Frontier Rescue's connections, the pair tracked the partnered digimon to a home located outside a remote dramon/greymon village.

Inside, they found a WarGreymon collapsed on the floor. Seeing as how they couldn't move the larger mon, the partners made him as comfortable as they could until he regained consciousness. When he finally awoke, Andrea introduced herself and Deneb trying to determined if older greymon understood where he was. Dazed and only somewhat lucid, the WarGreymon, Theo, nodded slowly and followed her words closely. However, the impact of Kyle's passing didn't hit home until Andrea handed Theo the digivice. She watched as the old greymon stared at the tiny device in his massive claws, which shook with increasing frequency at each passing second. Theo released a single pained sob. Tears ran unchecked down her face with shared grief. Deneb stayed quietly by his partner's side in silent support, he couldn't comprehend losing her.

A short while later, Theo spoke, his words barely audible.

“Please leave.”

Reluctant to leave such a suffering soul, Andrea, nonetheless, respected the Wargreymon's wishes. On her way out, she left behind a picture a recent photo of her and her brother.

In the months following, Andrea continued high school and spent as much of her free time in Saga with Deneb. After her graduation, Andrea opted not to go into college and rather joined a ground crew of wildland firefighters. However, she wouldn't be able to visit Deneb during the two months of intensive training and three months of active duty in the fire season as she was always on call in case of emergency. When the fire season was finally over and she was free of her commitment for the next six months, Andrea packed her bags and told her mother she was heading out on a backpacking trip across country. Finally free, she opened a portal to the digital world to meet her distressed partner outside Kaladesh, spouting something concerning the Royal Knights.

Other: She's only started her career as seasonal wildland firefighter. In time, Andrea hopes to join the elite firefighters as a Smokejumper (Fire fighters who parachute into remote locations to contain wildfires).

Digimon Partner:

Name: Deneb Odebu
Species: Hawkmon
Gender: male
Age:*22
Appearance:* Standard Hawkmon , but wears a green and white feather on his head to signify his ancestral line.
Personality: A merry and upbeat digimon. Deneb believes there is nothing better than good music, good food, and good company. An old soul, Deneb perched at the feet of his tribe's storytellers for hours, rather than join the other warriors his age in hunt and battle. He prefers enjoying a warm sunny day and smelling the flowers over getting involved in a fight. He does share his tribe's fierce warrior spirit deep down, but he often lacks confidence in his own skill.

The bird digimon is a dreamer and bard at heart. He aspires to travel across the whole of Saga to learn legends and myths and share a tale to whoever he meets. Deneb loves music with a passion and often sings aloud wherever he goes, even if he's off-key from time to time. In times of trials, Deneb will sing songs of mirth to bring smiles to those who are downcast.

He is a loyal friend and partner to Andrea, sharing her sense of adventure and caring nature to help others in need. The hawk is an excellent cook and skilled in campfire meals with limited ingredients. A worry-wort, Deneb often frets over Andrea's safety and lack of friends. Trying to resolve the latter, often leads to hysterical situations as Deneb goes overboard in helping Andrea make new friends and usually embarrasses her. Nervous on the eve of battle, Deneb relaxes in the quiet and steady presence of his partner.

History: A young Brave in the Aquila Tribe, Deneb belongs to an old and ancient family line revered within the clan. The young Hawkmon stood out from his hatchmates, perferring to lazy around in the open treetops and sample the divine fruits his tribe raised and safeguarded. Deneb's lack of interest in training and fighting caused his peers to look down upon the daydreamer. However, none could match Deneb's skill in reciting story and song after only hearing it once, a respectable tradition within tribe.

A bard and storyteller in training, Deneb aspired to travel throughout Saga to share his tales with those willing to listen and exchange song with kindred spirits. Perhaps, taking a journey, he would create his own story. However, Deneb often found himself in over his head starting out, his inexperience and previously sheltered life not fully preparing him.

One day, Deneb passed through a dark and dense forest quite different from his home. A swarm of Flybeemon intercepted his path and proceed to chase him as he'd entered their territory. The Hawkmon tried to fly away, but was struck with a stinger attack in the wind and grounded. Grimacing in pain, he closed his eyes, waiting for his doomed fate. However, a strange creature jumped in front of him, brandish a makeshift torch and waved it fiercely before the attacking Flybeemon swarm. With the seconds bought by surprised, the unknown creature grabbed Deneb and launched both of them into a nearby river.

Deneb woke much later, now night, to discover his wing bandaged and a fire tended by a young female human. Ecstatic to meet his first human, Deneb thanked Andrea, as he now knew, and both stayed up into the late hours of the night speaking about one another. The pair of misfits found an easy companionship with one another. In the morning, the two resumed traveling together for company since Andrea didn't know the area and Deneb was lonely(not to mention he was just as lost as she was).

During their journey, the duo stumbled across a rogue Woodmon harassing a Baronmon merchant for his goods. Deneb stalled in his path, uncertain. However, Andrea wasn't one to just turn and walk the other way. The reassuring determination in the female's eyes calmed the nervous hawkmon and he agreed. A bright light erupted between the bird mon and young girl, forming a forest green digivice. However, the sudden light caught the Woodmon's attention and leading him to attack the pair in suspicion. Both partners darted out of the way, but Andrea was tossed further and left dazed. The Woodmon zeroed in on the down human, swinging his arms to pummel her. Deneb narrowed his eyes at the danger to his newfound friend. With a warcry worthy of his tribe, the Hawkmon darted through the air becoming engulfed in a greater and brighter light and emerging as a thought to be extinct, Kiwimon. Launching explosive kiwi heads, the Woodmon was driven away as he caught on fire.

Resuming his rookie form, Deneb flopped on his back dazed from the rush of evolving. The merchant, Baronmon, thanked the pair for aiding him and, as an award, gifted them an odd looking artifact (which looked like a black shoe with a jagged spike jutting out) and half of a map with certain landmarks circled. The Baronmon with a twinkle in his eye and a knowing smile wished them happy hunting and carried on his way with his wagon of goods.

Baffled, the pair decided to travel to the mystery locations on the half map. As their friendship grew, they would discover the nature of Baronmon's gift as the Digimetal of Friendship, allowing Deneb to evolved to Thunderbirdramon. The two quickly realized the circled landmarks indicated hidden caches of other digimetals after finding the Digimetal of Sincerity deep within a jungle. Over a period of two years, Deneb and Andrea traversed across the western half of Saga to finally locate all three digimetals (reaching the underwater cavern for the Digimetal of Reliability was Deneb's least favorite endeavor). The partners might have completed their search much sooner, but Andrea would often return to her world because of school and not worrying her family if she disappeared for too long.

One day, they came to a large outpost with a watchtower on the outskirts of Kaladesh. The outpost belonged to the Frontier Rescue & Other Services guild operated by a Raptorsparrowmon, Sal Lightspeed. Frontier Rescue associated with other guilds as far west as Tir-Na-Nog and east to Ama and employed both digimon and tamers in its ranks. Sal was particularly interested in Deneb and Andrea since their use of digimetals was advantageous for a variety of missions. They officially joined and Frontier Rescue became their home base for the next two years.

Deneb, now 21, was waiting patiently outside the guild headquarters for Andrea's scheduled return from the human world but she was running a few days late. However, when Andrea emerged from the whirling portal, tears streamed silently down her face. The hawkmon led his partner to a quiet place away from the guild, whispering comforting words to pry the reason for her distress. With slow words, Andrea told Deneb of the train accident and resulting loss of her twin brother, Kyle. With even greater surprise, she removed a darkened silver and yellow digivice from her bag. Deneb stared with horror at the implications. Somewhere, another partnered digimon was left bereft. Together, the partners left Frontier Rescue with their own solemn mission. In time, the pair located a suffering WarGreymon slumped in his home and told him. The older greymon accepted Kyle's digivice with trembling hands and asked them to leave him alone. Unsure of the Wargreymon's fate after they left, Deneb and Andrea returned to their home near Kaladesh.

Six months later, Deneb found himself alone working as the guild dispatcher and resident storyteller and bard. Andrea was graduating from high school and was recruited into a ground crew to fight wildfires back in Analog. Unfortunately, his partner wouldn't be able to return to Saga until after the fire season. So, with a heavy heart, Deneb waited out the five lonely months. During that time, the Royal Knights declared a crusade against the Tamers and began attacking encampments. Frontier Rescue assisted misplaced and scared partners with relocation and emergency supplies. Deneb fretted and worried about ongoing events until Andrea finally returned to Kaladesh.

Other: Deneb loathes evolving into Orcamon, because it's derpy looking. Andrea finds it adorable. Deneb can only evolved to his ultimate form at the start of the rp.

Kamotz

God of Monsters
Name: Serra Castiel
Species: BelleStarmon
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Appearance: Standard appearance for her species.

Personality: On the outside, Serra is the epitome of the phrase "cold, hard, b*tch." She takes her self-imposed mandate of aloofness and stoicism very seriously and puts much effort into reigning in her emotions and reactions after her expulsion from Paradise. At the same time, she shows great passion and loyalty to her comrades. She appears cold, frigid even, with her unblinking attitude to most of the horrors she sees around her, and she rarely appears moved or impressed by the plight of others.

Her pursuit of quelling her genuine emotions and opinions means she doesn't often express them aloud, though that doesn't mean she's without them. She's usually rather indifferent when it comes to someone else's attitude towards her city and comrades so long as they remain civilized in their expressions of those attitudes. She will not allow mass ignorance or paranoia to have the last word, and her quick wit and sharp tongue are more than enough to put anyone in their place without resorting to quick blows and sharp steel. Otherwise, she doesn't really care what kind of looks or whispers are thrown her way; just don't get in her face if you want to keep your dignity.

In truth, however Serra is fiery and determined, fiercely independent and confident. She is flirty, vibrant, and full of life, a rarity for someone who has gone through the tortuous ordeals she has. On top of that she's quick-witted and clever. She is slow to form real attachments, but once she does she is fiercely protective of them...in her own purposefully-detached sort of way. If she pays you any attention at all, it means she's actually quite fond of you.

History: Serra was an angel of the Host, a holy sword that stood against the darkness. She spent her childhood training on Saga beyond the Celestial Sphere. From a young age she underwent a tortuous and arduous training regimen. She was pushed passed the limit of peak physical capability. Hers was a family of renowned angels, and Serra strived to join them in the halls of power and glory.

She was young when the Seven Demon Lords fell and rebelled against Heaven, but she took up her sword and joined the fight against them. In the battle she found that the demons were far more passionate and driven than the soldiers she fought beside. Though both sides held conviction, the demons seemed to truly want what they were fighting for, despite once being angels, they believed that Heaven was wrong.

Once they were defeated, Serra was wary of accepting the peace at face value. The war had seen the involvement of the entire world, including those that the Host had previously declared heretical - the pagan gods and their followers. Serra chose to travel outside the Sphere and journey the world to see what specifically the demon lords were rebelling for. In the outside world she found passion, life, and love. She found things that the Holy Host told her to temper and keep reserved. When she returned - full of questions and uncertainty - she was chastised and berated for her extended absence, and upon learning why, she fled the Sphere in horror in exile.

Her expulsion changed her, and as time went on her form changed as well to reflect her inner change and turmoil. Her Beelstarrmon form was not fully demonic, but she was an angel no longer. She took many false names in her exile and continued her travels across Saga. She eventually took up residence in Axis Mundi and opened up a tavern...coincidentally, the tavern that Svarog damaged during that first night.

Higher Form/s: Ophanimon (alternate form)

Lower Form/s: Angewomon, D'Arcmon, Salamon

Other: Unlike the demons and fallen angels, Serra is not "fallen" by nature - she is not fueled by the Inferno. She retains access to her angelic forms, but is no longer directly connected to the Host and the power of the Celestial Sphere. The attacks of holy-type Digimon still have more potent effects on her, but not to the same extent they would on a dark digimon that had truly embraced their inner monster.

Tis the Hour to Reload
Oh my god, these ended up way bigger than I thought they'd be. X/ This is what I get for basically going like: "Hmm... What's missing from this cast... Oh, I know! A trickster and a healer!" Look what happened.

Hopefully they're fine, especially with how Dinadan's healing works... Because the only other alternative I could think of for his capability of healing is that he's an Eternal whose spark is healing but doesn't know that. And that Zaza owns a pretty big business. I just wanted to see how much I could, well, push it in terms of what kind of characters I can make. And that this is how they meet up with the Guardians and why they haven't joined until now. X/

Name: Dinadan Snow
Species: Mistymon
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Appearance: As expected of his species, he's more man than monster in appearance. Standing at somewhere between six and seven feet, he looks like what humans would expect of a "mage knight". Over the red bodysuit he has he wears armor only over his chest, forearms and shins, with some kind of "flap" over his thighs that are attached to an ornate golden belt.
All of the pieces are white with yellow rims and patterns and have a small blue gem, specifically on his shoe, his vambrace, his "flaps" and the center of his belt. His chest armor has shoulder pads that make it look like he has dragon horns on his shoulders. Down the center is a purple cloth with yellow patterns on it as well, extending all the way to a loincloth, for lack of a better word, that reaches to the middle of his shins.

On his back is a completely purple cloak that can easily cover him. His hat looks similar to the one Mickey Mouse wears in the sequence in Fantasia, "Sorcerer's Apprentice", except completely purple and that it has white cloth extensions that covers his head, except for his face, similar to what nuns wear. What does cover his face though is a golden mouth guard that detaches by un-clipping it from the back of his head. For accessories, he wears a necklace, made up of beads that are also purple with a red gem in the center of the biggest bead. Over his brown gloves he has six silver rings, three on each hand, that are on his thumb, pointer and middle fingers.

And finally, he has with him a floating crystal ball and a golden sword with runes on it. The sword is just very sturdy and strong, and the ball, also with the same qualities, is mainly where he keeps track of his patients, similar to the orbs Wisemon use.

Personality: The first thing others notice of Dinadan is that he's very, very cheerful, to the point that some start to wonder if he ever stops smiling or whether that smile is real. When they realize that yes, he smiles so often that it might as well be permanent and that it's real, they'll also think he's dumb or childish because no form of insult or jeering fazes him in a negative way. Say his healing technique is terrible? He'll try to improve it. Make a compliment that's backhanded? He'll gladly take it. Say he's weak? He'll only ask how to get stronger. This often infuriates those who try to get a rise out of him.

Adding to his childish demeanor, he has apparently no filter because he says whatever comes to mind and feels the needs to be said. And I mean everything, from musings and mental notes to insults and compliments. To say the least, he's gotten in trouble plenty of times because of the latter two, especially with males and females respectively. As such, he can sometimes come off as arrogant to males and flirty for females. And sometimes what may seem like an insult or flirting is really just, as mentioned, his observations of what he thinks is the truth or making a note to himself for later.

Which is why most Digimon are surprised to find that he's a very good healer, and not just in his healing capabilities. As any good healer should, he takes his duties seriously. And by seriously, I mean he'll always heal others who need it, and doing whatever is appropriate and needed at the time. If the patient is a crying child, he'll be gentle and careful about it. If it's a young adult or teenager who's pretending they're not in pain, he'll scold them not to ignore their injuries if the battle is over. And if it's a patient who just refuses to be healed whether from panic or sheer stubbornness, he won't tolerate their bullshit and even tranquilize or restrain them himself if necessary.

His patient's health take first priority, including their mental health, as well as their safety. As such, he also won't tolerate bullshit from others towards his patient. If it's an honest consideration that his way of treatment isn't helping, especially for the mental cases, then he'll consider it. But only if they want to help the patient. Otherwise he'll act like a dragon protecting its gold if anyone, in any way, wants to harm his patients. And he will defend his patients with his life.

For the most part, he treats his patients the same as everyone else, with care, kindness and absolutely no filter, including children. That often gets him into trouble, but it's not that wants to be mean. Other than the fact that, well, he has no filter, he gives children as much respect as adults and will always be honest about his patient's situation, even if it's something they, or the ones who care about them, might not want to hear.

And it's usually these moments where others realize that despite his near constant cheeriness, he does feel other emotions and, just like with his words, he does little to actually hide his feelings. It's just that most of the time, it only really happens when he's not healing someone because he's so focused on doing all he can so that they can make it. And it's most likely to happen if he wasn't able to save someone no matter how hard he tried and he feels each loss keenly. It is a grim reality he has accepted not too long after he started his path of a healer, but it always hurts.

But he's still as focused as when he was younger on his goal to be the very best healer he can be, if not more. For each life he couldn't save, there's another that he did, one that might not have made it if he wasn't there. Because of this, he has a habit of pushing himself to exhaustion, though he does make sure to find the time to rest to make up for it. Even if he's a bit dense at times, even he knows the irony of a healer who can't take care of himself.

Speaking of that, because of how his healing works, he eats a lot, way too much than any one Digimon should be able to eat. He's always carrying some sort of snack. And, more often than not, is the one to taste or outright chug down anything that others wouldn't dare eat. But as long as it's edible, and it won't harm his health, he doesn't care. And because he's a healer, and has treated and learned from plenty of humans, he's quite knowledgeable about Digimon and human biology, as well as medicine and human methods of dealing with injuries. He can even brew his own medicine, though it's nowhere near as skilled as plant Digimon who've done it for far longer.

History: Born in the frigid north in Kaldheim, he was the only son of his parents and the youngest of his six older sisters, much like his own father. As expected in the viking-like kingdom, he and his sisters were taught how to fight from a young age. Unlike some of the families in Kaldheim, he got along with his sisters, all of whom considered him their precious baby brother. It also helped that their parents drilled to them that it was important that each Digimon had a different way of fighting, because each one had their own strengths.

But Dinadan didn't really care about that. Oh, sure, he loved spending time with his sisters and didn't mind getting better in order to beat them sometimes, but beyond that, he didn't really care too much. Still very young at that point, his parents weren't too worried about his lack of motivation to be a warrior.

Then during a little outdoor training with some of his sisters, they were attacked by some running demon Digimon and Dinadan got badly injured by them considering he was just a Blucomon as opposed to his sisters being Champions and Ultimates. But before he was taken to the village healers, a Jijimon--in fact, the one who had been chasing the demon Digimon because they were criminals he had happened to run into--healed him as the offending Digimon were handled by his sisters. The Jijimon left after making sure he was fine and that the Digimon he had been chasing were locked up tight before he left, but Dinadan, inspired by the elder, had found his calling.

He learned whatever healing techniques he could in Kaldheim, which wasn't much considering the place, but it was enough that when he digivolved, it was into a Sorcerimon. Of course, his parents weren't entirely on board with if only because they worried for their son. But Dinadan kept going and when he realized that he couldn't learn more in Kaldheim, told his parents he wants to leave for Glen Elendra to better his healing magic, which only worried his parents more.

However, they thought that it would also be good for him, believing he would just return not long after he set out. So they let him go and so Dinadan, with some supplies and only a little inkling of how to get to his destination, left. And wouldn't come back for at least five years. But that's getting ahead.

He first trekked south, stopping at whatever villages he could find and practicing his healing and ice magic as well. It was grueling, but he was still as much a warrior in spirit as his family, so he weathered through it, managing to make it through the mountains. It had taken about a year to get there and through, and now that only warmer weather was in his way, it took him about two months to reach the village that was just across the shores of Greystone.

But it was during these two months that he met his first human, or rather humans. He met a few on his way to Greystone, a few of them with their partners injured and thus were hiding as they waited for their partner's recovery. He helped them, of course, but what was noteworthy was that when he tried to heal some of the few humans who were also injured, he couldn't, which greatly puzzled and worried him. If more of these humans were coming, then what good was he if he couldn't heal them?

So as he finally reached Greystone, he had been trying to come up with spells in order to heal humans. But it was in there that he met with an old acquaintance, the Jijimon who had healed him all those years ago. The old Digimon was surprised to find a Sorcerimon constantly asking him questions until he introduced himself to him. That only surprised the Jijimon more. And then he mentioned about going to Glen Elendra to better his spells, especially healing, and that he hoped to somehow make spells for healing humans. As soon as he said that, the mon had said,

"No need for that, boy. I can teach you myself."

And so, Dinadan ended up under the tutelage of Faraday the Jijimon. And his way of teaching was rather eccentric, involving rather mundane things compared to the constant hours of training and meditation he was used to. Though it was no less rigorous considering he also had him do all sorts of errands in Axis Mundi since Faraday's house was in the land called Yamivaya, or when they were visiting nearby kingdoms. Of course, considering how Dinadan is, he didn't realize or mind it.

Still, Faraday was an excellent teacher of the magic arts and healing, including making medicines. Soon Dinadan found his own way of healing humans, as well as learn his master's way of healing, eventually digivolving into a Mistymon because of it. When that happened, Faraday had told him he had graduated from his teaching and that he should open up his own clinic in a city that needed it. To say the least, he had been surprised but grateful for all he's done for him.

So he did just that. Dinadan opened a little clinic in lower Axis Mundi, thinking it was the best place he could be to offer healing to both Digimon and the new humans in the world. And it gained a bit of notoriety as being one of the few, if not only, places where humans could go to be healed. In fact, it's because of this that one day, one of his sisters, his eldest, actually came to see him. It was a nice reunion, his sister proud and congratulating him for his success. And when the colder months came, he went back to Kaldheim to see all of his family.

The next few years were spent like that. During the spring and summer, he would stay in Axis Mundi in his clinic, as well as do house calls if it's important enough in the city or in the nearby kingdoms. Then in fall, he would go back to Kaldheim where he would stay until the end of winter when he would go back to Axis Mundi and then the cycle repeated. During that time, he would further his craft and learn more about humans to better tweak his spells for them. That was until the Royal Knights declared their crusade against humanity.

Unsurprisingly, he was among the first Digimon to help humans, especially as the injured came in droves to Axis Mundi. In fact, the Council did invite him to upper Axis Mundi. But with all his patients and being tired, he hadn't had time to read it, only knowing it was just an invitation from the Council, let alone answer it. The numbers got higher and higher even though it was just a month, even more so in the past few days as the Council and the summoned Tamers started fighting the Knights directly. At the rate things were going, he probably wouldn't read it at all and never join the Guardians.

Then the survivors from Kaladesh came. He healed them, alongside the very few human doctors that were there. It was in one of the camps he met a familiar patient, Shula Hernandez, who he had checked over after the fight in Avalon. When she saw him again, she had asked if he could join the Guardians, since they only had one healer. At first, he was hesitant, not wanting to leave the humans and Digimon already here. But then they were interrupted by a young man, along with a BlackGatomon on his head and a MagnaKidmon, asked if he could join. Shula had said,

"Sure!" Then, more somber, she continued. "We're gonna need all the help we can get."

In that moment, he realized that, perhaps unintentionally, she had let slip that the Guardians were having a hard time beating the Royal Knights. And it made sense. And if being a healer would help then he would. So with that, he too accepted her offer. After some preparations, mostly the MagnaKidmon finishing her things and Shula getting transportation, they made to catch up with the rest of the Guardians.

Higher Form/s: MedievalGallantmon (not accessible at the moment)
Lower Form/s: Sorcorimon -> Blucomon -> Koromon

Other:
As mentioned, Dinadan can heal Digimon and has developed human healing spells. Though they can only heal their respective species, both work through Dinadan actually giving his stamina to the recipient and in the case of humans, he needs more energy to heal them than, say, healing a Digimon of similar size, because not only does he give his energy, he has to use some to make said energy acceptable to the human body. Hence why he eats a lot. His "Digi-spells", as he calls them, are more versatile since some of them are just him adapting the skills of his Jijimon mentor, particularly the AoE healing and long distance single target healing (specifically up to fifteen meters and in his line of sight). For humans, for now he'll need to actually touch the human he needs to heal if he wants to heal them.
His orb keeps a record of all the patients he's had and also the reason why whenever uses the AoE heal, it doesn't also heal the enemy because their name isn't registered in its logs as well as set to heal.
Fun fact: His last name is in reference to John Snow, the one who found out about the problem with the Broad Street Pump.

Name: Zainab "Zaza" Cadaceus
Species: MagnaKidmon
Gender: Female
Age: 30
Appearance: For the most part, Zainab, or Zaza as she likes to be called, has your typical MagnaKidmon appearance. She's a very humanoid dragon Digimon standing somewhere between seven to eight feet. Though completely human in shape, the way her crimson scales cover her body make it look like she's wearing clothes, with flaps extending from her torso like a gentleman's tuxedo and gloves "covering" her three fingered hands. The scales around her neck are black and look like they form a "collar" and her head is human in appearance as well, with short yet messy silver hair and a grey face, but two slim horns jut out of the back of her head and are easily visible even with the crimson stetson she wears.

She has four "wings", for lack of a better word, two of which are black and look like bat wings stretched very long, and the other two look more like ammo belts with a tiny machine gun at the end of it, all of which she can control as easily as her arms and are typically tucked on her back when she's not flying. Speaking of guns though, while her thighs are normal and red, her shins are silver barrels of guns, the "butt" where the handle supposed to be replaced with a "knee guard" that extends upward, covering her thigh, which is red with a silver cross on it. Her pointer finger on both of her hands is also a gun, the ammunition barrel of which can be seen in the palm of her hand.

The only thing differentiating her from other MagnaKidmon are her green forest eyes, which often have both a mischievous and calculating look to them and several fanny packs (her favorite human invention) around her hip which contain various items.

Personality: The ones who dislike Zaza often describe her as an overconfident and pompous brat who has no honor and is in way over her head. And, well, while it's not exactly false, how Zaza normally is around others can easily be thought of as that. Upon first meeting her, she gives off an air of confidence, with her relaxed yet purposeful moves, her easy going smile contrasting her calculating eyes, and how she seems to like to show off all the treasures she's gained, almost like she's a prideful and greedy Digimon who wants only the best of the best of the best.

In truth, she's like this because she's two things at her core: a merchant and a trickster.

Zaza has always had an eye for objects and has always loved collecting things. Ever since she was young, she would get stuff from all around her and she was fascinated by the objects in the marketplace, filled with things from around the world and across the decades. She's always loved finding valuable things, whether it's something that most consider such, like precious gems or valuable antiques, to something that only avid collectors would care about, like bottle caps or vintage signs. She even knows quite a bit about foods and drinks. Her stores have "Goods, Trinkets & More" in their name for a reason.

But just as easily as she wants to gain them, she can, most of the time, just as easily give it away, not only for the right price, but also for the right Digimon--or person. She does know there's more to an object's value than just money. There are memories and personal connections in them as well and she knows how that can be worth more than all wealth in the world. Because of this, sometimes she's willing to give her things for free. Of course she's going have to make the money that was lost back somehow, but she hadn't gotten this far from determination alone.

Always one to come up with schemes when she was younger, whether it was for something as innocent as hiding the fact she ate candy before a meal or as hilarious as getting Digimon covered in feathers, Zaza has always been an observant and crafty kind, always watching and always thinking. And if she wanted something, she would do her absolute best to get it, more often than not bending or pushing the rules to the limit, something she still does now.

Though don't mistake her willingness to try unorthodox ways means she hates rules. No, she's more than fine with rules. She's the owner of a business after all. Can't run a business with employees under her without them. But, as she would say, "Dumb rules are meant to be broken," so if she doesn't like a rule, she's more than likely to outright break it. And being the scheming woman she is, she's most likely either had her tracks covered or the rule gets changed because of her.

Despite her seeming disregard of structure, Zaza's still a dragon Digimon, with a Greymon-type mother, and thus she has a strong sense of justice, honor and loyalty. She will not rip off customers, she will always be honest about all the goods in her inventory and she will always repay any debts she gains. The only time she really pulls out, as she likes to jokingly call them, her "evil schemes" is when she's "fighting fire with fire" against other, less honorable merchants and traders. Even willing to resort to more violent means herself if she believes it necessary (though most of the time it's because she provoked said corrupted merchant). She loves it when a good plan comes together to topple down those who abuse their positions. She also respects those who do the same. Otherwise, her "schemes" are usually done in jest, just like when she was young. Her employees both hate and love the fact.

As such, she is a very friendly sort of Digimon. Maybe not enthusiastic or energetic when greeting other people, but she still likes hanging around others, not only for business purposes but also for hearing stories, learning of the different kinds of treasures of the world and almost becoming childish whenever such a thing happens. And is more than certain to make a joke of some sort.

But at the moment, there's another desire behind her eyes, a desire to see the Royal Knights pay for starting this war. And she's going to give it everything's she's got. The only thing stopping her from going outright ruthless is the fact that if she gets herself killed, it'll just be another loss to her "blood" niece, Lavenza, and her adoptive nephews, Kogoro and his Digimon partner, Morgan, who she treats warmly and protectively.

History: Zaza was born in one of the many cities in Yavimaya, an old and big one called Sugbu, a little over two years after her older brother, Joachim, to a Shinegreymon mother and a BanchoStingmon father. Her mother, though crippled and very far from her home of Greystone, was still a warrior and her father, well...was a part of the city's council and considered a rebel for bending the rules a lot to make the point that said rules weren't good enough and, more often than not, messing with the more corrupt of the council members.

In truth, it shouldn't be surprising that Zaza ended up being quite the formidable trickster when she was young, more often than not roping her brother, a more skittish sort, in her schemes. And really, Zaza had a normal childhood. Well, as normal as her life could get with her mother teaching her the ways of a warrior and her father teaching her the ways of politics. She did, however, seem to have an odd habit of collecting things she liked, be it pretty rocks, weird twigs or discarded parts.

It wasn't until at about nine years of age, when she came with her father as he got groceries did the merchant in her spark to life. To others, they saw just food, to her, she saw treasures being exchanged and she wanted to be a part of it. It got even stronger when they passed by the flea market on the way back, where various other goods were sold.

So she ended up going there often, bugging merchants and traders from both her questions and her trying to figure out their business practices. Soon, she started learning how it's done and then, with help from her parents, opened up her first "shop" in the flea market.

Unsurprisingly, that first venture didn't turn out so well but she kept trying and when she did, by finding quite a few hard to get fruits and plants from the neighboring forests and jungles, her stand had started being pretty known in the market despite her young age.

But Zaza wanted to do more than just this one shop in her home town of Sugbu. So, after talking with her parents who unfortunately couldn't come along for various reasons, packed her stuff and headed for Tidehollow, Joachim coming with her, mostly because he didn't really have much he wanted to do.

Once again, Zaza started at the bottom when she got in the bustling trading city. But she wasn't undeterred. However, she was a bit short on money so, at first, she and her brother did odd jobs around the place to keep up with the rent of the small place they made into what was essentially a junk shop, "Zainab's Little Shop".

And then the humans started to arrive.

Where most were just curious and maybe wary, Zaza saw an opportunity. Almost instantly, she offered her services and goods to the humans. Sure, most of them didn't have money, but money wasn't the only thing a merchant dealt with. She traded with them. Whatever food or items that she had and they wanted, she gave it to them. Soon, her "shop" was known to be human friendly, which made some of the businessmon stare at her in disgust but she didn't care. She found a market no other Digimon was taking advantage of and, if she played her cards right, she might eventually end up having a monopoly on some human items.

Eventually she did, somewhat, in the form of paying money to humans willing to bring as much stuff they can carry with them to Saga and not just objects, but also foods if they could swing it. Oh, it was glorious, because the stuff she got came from all over the human world of Analog. She got to see so may of their world's treasures, and sell them back to other humans who couldn't quite get them in their world because it was apparently a little hard for most humans to go all around the world.

Her shop soon got bigger and she changed it to "ZaZa's Goods, Trinkets & More" (second Z capitalized on purpose of course for good marketing). Soon, the Tamers who were just doing it for extra and quick money were full-time employees and she got to learn more about Analog as she made friends with them. And the wonderful inventions, fanny packs and the whoopee cushion. She absolutely loves them. And with her newfound money, she had branches open in every kingdom that was accepting of Tamers and connecting with quite a few Tamer formed guilds, particularly the technology and archaeology ones considering her growing love of human tech and treasure in general.

Sometime during this, to her surprise, Joachim actually fell in love with a one of the few Digimon customers that wasn't a partner of a Tamer, a curious Andromon by the name of Margaret. And, unsurprisingly, they had a daughter, Lavenza, not too long after they got together. To say the least, she enjoyed teasing him. It did, however, lead to him leaving her store to move with her in Kaladesh.

Which wasn't too bad since they kept in touch with each other and their parents and the new family would often visit her considering Margaret was curious of humans and often wanted human inventions. So Zaza kind of expected that they would end up adopting a human boy, one named Kogoro, along with his BlackGatomon partner, Morgan, who had befriended their daughter. All in all, life was great. She had a successful business just like she wanted, her family was doing great just like she hoped, and she had a ton seen tons of treasures of all kinds just as she dreamed.

Of course Fate had to ruin it in the form of the Royal Knights declaring war on humans.

To say the least, she didn't like it. Not only because they were her largest customer base, but also because she had a human nephew and plenty of human friends. So she did her part to pitch in, sending some of her employees as both escorts and giving relief goods with no charges. Her brother and her sister-in-law also helping in Kaladesh by arranging for places for humans to stay. Originally, Zaza just planned on keeping up these efforts, and maybe setting up an information network too. She had thought that would be all she would do during this war.

Then the Kaladesh attack happened.

And the only reason she knew before the news actually came to the city was because her branch manager in the city told her they were evacuating before getting cut off. She immediately left Tidehollow, leaving her vice-executive in change, and went for Axis Mundi, hoping her brother and his family was among those who survived. All she found were battered survivors...

...and a grieving Lavenza, Kogoro and Morgan.

That broke the figurative straw on the camel's back. Not only did the Royal Knights have taken things too far in her book. Now it was personal. Good friends were lost, her brother and sister-in-law were gone and her niece and nephews had no more parents because of them. Why? Because they were scared of humans? She decided then to join the fight, and put a stop to them. And nothing's going to stop her from doing so.

The only reason she didn't just rush off to properly enlist or something was because Kogoro and Morgan were going to do the same. She tried to convince them but before it could be resolved, Kogoro then went off and volunteered to a woman who apparently was trying to have this Mistymon join the Guardians and she quickly accepted the offer. So, with no other choice, she made sure that Lavenza was in good hands (the manager of the Axis Mundi branch) and informing her vice-executive of her plans before coming with her nephews, the tall lady and her BlackAgumon, and the Mistymon who was also convinced.

To say the least, she's regretting teaching Kogoro some of her "negotiation" techniques...

Higher Form/s: None
Lower Form/s: RizeGreymon -> GeoGreymon -> Agumon (2006 version) -> Koromon
Other: She has five fanny packs, one containing rations of both human and Digimon kinds, one with various trinkets like a toy top or a broken hand watch, another with a few gems and some coins from various kingdoms in Saga and countries in Analog, yet another with a PCom (Personal Communicator, as she calls it, which is basically a The Brick but for Digimon) and two notebooks--one blank and one not--and the last one filled with bandages and some basic medicine for humans.

Name: Kogoro Cadaceus
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Physical Description: Standing at an exact five feet, Kogoro comes off as scrawny and blank. His slightly unkempt hair is straight, short and dark brown, with bangs almost cover both of his eyes, which are also brown, but because of its shade, in some angles they look almost dried blood red, and somehow have a disinterested look despite how often they flit around from observing his surroundings. His face, and his body general, is on the thin side, even after he started having regular meals. His build, however, is lean and quick from his early years in an orphanage in Tokyo, travelling with his partner and brother, Morgan, across Saga, and training with his adoptive father and his family. He has a few scars across his arms, as well as quite a few burns from working with machinery.

His attire looks very, very brooding but also very, very simple. It's just a simple grey t-shirt with khaki pants and combat boots that are also grey, which contrast with his somewhat pale skin and his sometimes red eyes. He keeps his digivice in his left pocket, connected to his black belt by a thin metal chain. He doesn't have his old laptop anymore, but he has a new one he carries around with him but it's an older model and inside a small and square dark green backpack. He also usually has Morgana on either of his shoulders or on top of his head.

Personality Profile: Kogoro is, simply put, a stoic person. So stoic in fact that it almost seems like he's emotionless or even bored. Almost as if to add to that persona, he's also very quiet, not one to talk much, usually letting Morgan speak for him. And when he does speak, it's soft, taciturn and, more often than not, with a lack of energy. Because of all this, he comes off as uncaring and anti-social when it couldn't be further from the truth.

True, he is a naturally quiet person but he prefers being in the company of others. In fact, one of his favorite places to be is in parties and bars because of how lively it is and how people are smiling. If someone does talk to him, he will listen attentively, no matter the subject, even something as mundane as what they've been doing recently and is most likely to speak if he wants clarifications on what they're talking if it's something more esoteric. And treats others with a gentle demeanor that might come off as coddling to some. The only problem is that in his early years, he learned that showing emotions, especially complaining, usually meant a beating from the older children and considering he was a naturally quiet person to begin with, it was easy to hide it pretty quickly. So, even though it's been a few years since then, he still has trouble expressing his emotions beyond his words.

This is also the reason why, despite his nonchalant exterior, he is an equally wary and observant yet lonely and yearning young man, though the latter has lessened in the past years. His eyes always look around and take stock of his location and everyone around him, out of his habit of keeping an eye for bullies. He doesn't open up easily to strangers, not talking too much about himself if he talks at all. Yet he doesn't like being alone. He hates the feeling more than anything in the world. And when he does end up talking to strangers, he is likely to just want to please them as wary as he is. It's a paradox that Kogoro is trying to overcome, but it's going to take a while.

So he turns to his passion of machines. Not only does he love tinkering them and learning about them, he also loves making his own. Some of them just little toys like moving cars or figures to more complicated and practical stuff, like an engine for a cart (which was one of the causes for his burns). He also has an interest in coding but only having learned of it recently, he's still only really at a basic level. These are the things that he uses whenever he's trying to get out of his shell.

And if does happen to make a friend, his want to please them is increased by tenfold. He will treasure that friend for as long as he lives and is very loyal. He also, unlike most Japanese people and perhaps people in general, he likes hugs. Not having had much affection when he was young means he craves it more than he should.

He is, however, still a pragmatic person and most of his thought processes are based on logic and what would get him closer to whatever his goal is, and whatever that goal is usually affects whether his choices are the more logical and heartless or irrational and sympathetic. And the worst part is that he has little to no self-value, even after having had Morgan and his adoptive family in his life, so if there's any idea where a sacrifice is needed, he's likely to take up on it because he doesn't think that his life could be worth more than the lives of many others.

Digivice Description: His digivice has a white body, black grips and red buttons. Dangling from it is also a keychain which has a tiny gear at the end of it and the aforementioned chain that hooks into his belt.

History: A bastard child, Kogoro's mother alone raised him at first in the shabby apartment she called home in Shinjuku. But when his mother dies from a drunkard pushing her in the way of traffic, he's put in an orphanage because none of his relatives wanted anything to do with him. And unfortunately being the new kid, and a bastard child, just made living there all the harder.

He learned quick to not show he was crying and to keep to himself, because none of the kids liked him, even the ones who didn't like the older bullying kids. So when his "caretaker" wasn't checking on him, he was all by himself. Predictably, he also was alone at school and so would spend time in the library instead of playing with his schoolmates. It was there he learned more than most orphans would since he had nothing better to do during break. And when back at orphanage, he would just stay in his bed in the room he shared with many others. At first, he didn't do much except wait for school until he saw one of the toys the other kids discarded, a very cheap and broken plastic Kamen Rider figure.

He wanted to fix it so he then looked to books on fixing things. That toy was then added with another he found in the trash, as well as a broken cellphone. Soon, he got so many he had to find a spot he could stash his things, not wanting any of the others to take it away from him or mess it up again.

But even if the kids mostly left him alone physically, he still felt isolated and he was still thought of as someone who shouldn't exist. He was lonely and had no future. And as he saw the older kids, aged eighteen, practically get kicked out, he knew he was running out of time to figure some sort of solution. But real life wasn't like the TV shows he would watch at night, when he could watch their reruns without the other kids making fun of him for liking to watch them. There were no heroes.

Then, one day, as he was getting yet another trashed electronic, a computer this time, it came to life. And it said a simple message: DO YOU WISH TO LEAVE THIS WORLD? Y/N

Seeing as nobody wanted him, and that he had no chance of a better future, he accepted. But when he got to this other world, he just ended up in a forest. Confused, he wandered but only found monsters that still didn't want him. For days he was lost and soon he regretted his choice and decided to just cry, and hopefully die of starvation or thirst or another monster coming to kill him.

But for the first time in a long time, his cries were heard. A little black cat came and took care of him in a village filled with similar monsters, but here the monsters seemed nicer. The cat, Morgan, talked to him, asked questions. At first, he didn't want to answer but over time, he did, and by the time he recovered, the Digimon, as he found out, asked if he could come with him.

Shocked that someone actually wanted him, he agreed and he ended up getting a Digivice from that. And so, Kogoro spent the next few years with Morgan as they traveled around, helping whoever they passed and part of the reason Morgan gained his Ultimate form. This went on for a while until Kogoro had heard of the technological city of Kaladesh and the pair immediately set their course for it. There, they met a lost Hagurumon named Lavenza and helped find her parents.

When they made to leave however, Lavenza still wanted to play with them. Kogoro, unable to resist, agreed and they ended up staying at the Cadaceus's house, and not just for the afternoon. Joachim and Margaret, Lavenza's father and mother respectively, insisted they stay for the night. Then another. Soon, it was one month of staying with them, spending time with all of them, and then the two were asked if they could adopt them.

Kogoro cried then, unable to believe it. He accepted and so he was officially made part of the Cadaceus family. He and Morgan were taught self-defense by his now-father and his grandparents. He learned even more about machines and, ironically enough, human history through his mother. And he even wished his intellect for "schemes" from his aunt, as well as getting materials for his inventions and toys. It was truly a dream come true.

Then the Royal Knights' crusade started. Of course, his family helped however they could, Kogoro specifically calming and keeping company with any humans and Digimon that were staying at their house until they were sent to shelters or someone would take them. His father though considered joining in the war effort and in truth, as scared as Kogoro was to lose him, he thought it was better that as many fighters fought the Knights.

He just didn't consciously think it could actually happen until the Knights set their sights on his home city. His father was among the city's forces while his mother coordinated the efforts to get those who wouldn't or couldn't fight onto the trains, himself, Morgan and Lavenza included. He thought they would have time to escape. But they didn't. The Royal Knights' forces made sure none of the trains could leave the station, even destroying some in the process. They only barely made it because he made Morgan digivolve in time to shield them. As fast as they could, they ran, grabbing any Tamers and their partners they could as Kogoro spotted the only train that was leaving the city. They barely made it in time before the form broke from the earlier damage and white light covered everything behind the train.

Kogoro grieved on the train, along with his sister, for his parents, for all those who lived in Kaladesh and all those who had died before the Knights came to the city. But as they grieved, he also knew that the only way this would end was when the Royal Knights are stopped. So when they arrived at one of the Tamer camps, and Morgan suggested they join the fight, he agreed. And when they ran into their aunt, they--well, more like Morgan because Kogoro knew her answer already--told her their plan.

Unsurprisingly, she didn't like the thought and tried to convince them otherwise. However, before she could do anything about it, he noticed and overheard a tall woman trying to convince a Mistymon to help her and the Guardians. Capitalizing on the chance, he offered to join and she quickly accepted, much to his aunt's chagrin. So after she settled some things and left Lavenza in the care of someone they could trust in Axis Mundi, he, Morgan, her and the Mistymon the woman convinced followed her.

He could only hope the Guardians were fine with extra hands that weren't summoned by the Council.

Other:
Kogoro is left-handed.
When he was adopted, he took on the family name of his Digimon parents. His old family name was Masayoshi.
He likes Kamen Rider but only knows the series from Kuuga to Blade and only has heard of its later incarnations.

Digimon Partner
Name: Morgan Cadaceus
Species: BlackGatomon
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Appearance: As expected of a BlackGatomon, he only stands at a measly one foot eight inches and bearing resemblance to an upright cat. His fur is a very dark shade of grey that it might as well be called black with purple stripes on his back and running up his tail. His triangular ears are about one and a half times bigger than his head and his tail is about as long as he is tall and is thick as his arms, the tip having split ends. His "hands" are covered in in purple "cat gloves" with short, black claws. The only things differentiating him from others of his kind are his sky blue eyes and the yellow scarf he loves to wear, both of which carry over in his digivolutions. The only exception to his constant blue eyes is when he's biomerged with Kogoro, where instead of his usual blue eyes, it's rusty brown eyes, signifying Kogoro himself. Otherwise, he keeps his scarf. Speaking of the boy, Morgana usually stays on either of his shoulders or on top of his head.

Personality: Morgan acts like a cat. Simple as that. He thinks highly of himself, specifically his appearance and his speed and agility, and always prefers to be perfectly groomed. He holds himself with a poise and confidence that cats always seem to have, like they own they world. And though he doesn't necessarily think the world should be his, he does like his shiny things and is more than likely to want to call dibs on any he sees.

Of course, he's not completely stupid to say his opinion of himself to everyone, mostly anyone who he knows could beat the crap out of him. But it doesn't take much to convince him to talk about himself, where he's likely to exaggerate a few details in any of the stories he tells. And, well, he also doesn't take to insults well, especially about his looks or his speed and agility considering his great pride over them.

Also because of this, besides compliments, he doesn't seem to like affection, disliking whenever others try to. But really, it's more that he's not used to it and his first reaction is to be defensive or be wary of ulterior motives. And any kind of affection or compliment he himself gives is often abrasive and just as likely to be backhanded, if he gives any at all. Add to the fact that he is quick to criticize others, especially if he feels it's necessary which is usually often, he isn't liked by many.

But if someone does manage to stand all of his bluster, they'll find that he's a surprisingly sentimental and very loyal Digimon. He greatly values in the "ways of a gentleman", to always help others in trouble and to always treat others with respect, which he doesn't realize he doesn't seem to do well. He's practically devoted to Kogoro, who he considers his brother despite being different species. He gave him a purpose beyond just living and led him to their family. He also is usually the one that speaks for him unless he wants to say something.

Thus any one in his circle of friends and family are given the same respect and affection he also gives to Kogoro and their family, though it's still a little rough on the edges considering his personality and lack of experience with families. And he still considers Kogoro the best out of everything that's ever come across his life, so any offense towards his brother is also considered an offense to him.

History: Morgan's life was...boring. Simple as that. Oh sure, he was an orphan and grew up in a rather shady gang that committed all sorts of crimes to survive. One would think he would be more hardened from that. He was in a way. He was the fastest and most agile in their little gang so he was always assigned to be the one to carry their stolen goods away and he was pretty good in a scrap. But he wanted more from his life, more than just surviving.

So he left, never to look back, and of course they didn't take that too well, but he was much too fast for them to catch up. And at first, he loved the freedom. Now he didn't have to do whatever the gang wanted. He could help whoever he wished and get his food from the land. But after a while, he was back to square one. As much as it felt great to help the occasional Digimon who would sometimes praise him, he still had no goal to aspire to. And still no friends.

Then one day he heard crying in the forest on his way to yet another town. He had expected to find a Digimon. Instead, he found something that had been popping up recently: a human. To say the least, he had no idea how to calm him down, especially since his crying could attract more feral Digimon, but somehow he did and Morgan saw the eyes of someone who was lost and had gave up all hope.

So, being the gentleman he was, he helped him out of there and took care of him. It was only then did he realize how thin and skeletal the boy, Kogoro, was. He slowly recovered and Morgan got to know him in that time, finding out his past in his world, bit by bit. To say the least, Morgan felt sympathy for the boy and so when he finally did, he had asked Kogoro if he could come with him on his travels. He said yes.

And so they once again, Morgan traveled across the land, but this time he had a partner and boy what a partner he was. Sure, he didn't know how to read very well and was rather paranoid, but not only was he pretty smart, but he gave him a boost in power, letting digivolve into an Ultimate form. And best of all, Kogoro thought of him like the brother he never had. It felt good to be valued so much by someone.

Then one day, when they were in Kaladesh because Kogoro wanted to see the technological city, they helped a lost Hagurumon named Lavenza find her parents. However, just when they were leaving, Lavenza wanted to play with them. Kogoro couldn't say no so they spent time with the little Digimon until it was dark. But just as they were to leave again, Lavenza's parents insisted they stay the night. To say the least, by the next day, their one day stay turned into two, then to three, and yet even more days until finally the family decided to adopt them.

To say the least, it was a dream come true, for the both of them.

They had a family now. Their new grandparents teaching both of them the ways of the warrior, their father teaching them manners, their mother mostly teaching Kogoro about machines, history and, ironically enough, other humans, and they had an adorable little sister and an aunt who taught them quite a few schemes. For Morgan, it was perfect, even with their occasional squabbles over the years. Then the Royal Knights just had to start their fanatical crusade.

To say the least, he didn't like it. Especially since it caused Kogoro and his new family so much pain as they helped Tamers and their partners find shelter, either in their own house or in other places. As things started to escalate in the coming days, his father had even considered joining in the fight.

And he did when Kaladesh was attacked. Their mother was helping to coordinate the evacuation of civilians, Tamers and partners who couldn't fight, he, Kogoro and Lavenza among them. They thought they were safe as they left the city, the fight starting behind them. They were wrong. The Royal Knights' forces swept in, preventing any of the trains to escape. The only reason they survived the crash was because Kogoro had him digivolve to shield them. As fast as they could, they ran, grabbing whatever Tamers and their partners they could as they left and made a beeline to the only Locomon leaving before the form broke from the earlier damage and behind the train was washed in the light of the incredible power.

Morgan would've been mad...except Kogoro and Lavenza were crying, grieving for their parents. And so the train ride to Axis Mundi was spent doing that. When they reached there though, in one of the Tamer camps, Morgan quickly suggested they help in the fight against the Royal Knights. To his surprise, Kogoro just as quickly agreed. So when they ran into Aunty Zaza who had arrived for them, they told her their plan and to tell her to keep an eye on Lavenza.

To their surprise, she was also going to join the fight. What wasn't a surprise was her trying to convince them not to. Before anything the argument would explode, Kogoro noticed a tall blonde woman talking to a Mistymon and asking him if he could join the Guardians, and he took the opportunity to volunteer and before Zaza could say anything, the woman accepted the offer.

Now the only thing they have to do was hope whoever leads the Guardians will be fine with the new recruits.

Digivolution Line: Chocomon -> Lopmon -> BlackGatomon -> DarkKnightmon -> Plutomon (Biomerged; not available at start)

God of Monsters
There’s a lot here so I’m still digesting the different characters. I’ll edit this post when I’m able to sit down and put thoughts to page. Just wanted to give you a heads up that I had seen this and was thinking about it.

Name: Dinadan Snow
Species: Mistymon
Gender: Male
Age: 27

Thoughts: I like the idea that we'll have a dedicated healer on the team so that's a plus. However, I'm not a big fan of changing up Digimon abilities so significantly (ie. the fire-to-ice change). If there was another base species for his Ultimate level it would work better.

Also let's keep away from the name Merlin since we're utilizing Arthurian names for the Royal Knights already.

If you can find a way to incorporate all that that'd be great. Otherwise the rest of his info looks good.

==\=/==

Name: Zainab "Zaza" Caudus
Species: MagnaKidmon
Gender: Female
Age: 30

Thoughts: Looks good. Accepted.

==\=/==

Name: Kogoro Cadaceus
Age: 17
Gender: Male
(Human)

Thoughts: Looks good. Accepted.

==\=/==

Name: Morgan Cadaceus
Species: BlackGatomon
Gender: Male
Age: 23

Thoughts: My only real issue here is with the evolution line. Essentially going: Champion -> Ultimate -> Champion -> Ultimate. You could make the case for Champion -> Ultimate -> Ultimate -> Ultimate. But DarkKnightmon is, by all accounts, an Ultimate-level Digimon. This is referenced in its X-Antibody Form:

"The power it possessed as a single Digimon has increased even more, [causing it to reach the Mega level, and resulting in this form]."

With that in mind it's pretty apparent that even though Xros Wars/Fusion doesn't utilize levels, SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon are approximately Champion equivalents when used in other contexts. This makes DarkKnightmon essentially a play on Paildramon and other Ultimate-level DNA Digivolutions.
