If you may, please take a look at this smug bastard here. Read it, savor it, enjoy the taste of my frustration and tears. And maniacal laughter made of 25% joy, 25% disappointment, and 50% 'You know what? I give up'. If I could add images right now I'd let you see this smug bastard in person. Took me at least 7 hours to RNG. Probably more.

You might be wondering why I RNGed an imperfect Pokemon. Well, there's a story behind that.
First, this little guy right here took me at least SEVEN hours to nab as I had considerable difficulty simply hitting my seed (it was in the lower bound of my Timer0 range which I find a hassle to hit), let alone accounting for WNPCs. I remember it clearly, it was night at the time as I decided to do one more reset before turning in. I set the time, entered the game and checked the seed via Chatot.
Wrong seed. Right time, wrong Timer0. Again. It was at that point that I decided to curse the Timer0, the entirety of the Pokemon world, and all the people in the Pokemon world, especially that one Ranger running around the rock like a headless chicken. Frickin prick. I literally glared at its sprite as it did its silly laps around its rock, sure that it and its brethren were causing my difficulties, my fluctuating Timer0, and world hunger.
I just stood at that spot for at least ten seconds, hoping she'd spontaneously combust or something before I decided to turn off my game and try again tomorrow.
Weeeell... You know what? I might as well talk to the Cobalion. I'm in the game right in front of it and I won't be saving. I might as well try my luck, right? Not like I'm gonna lose anything.
The second the battle started, I noticed something seemed wrong. Something seemed off about the Cobalion during the blackout.
Oh god, no.
I could see it clearly now. It looked darker than the other Cobalions I've had the misfortune of seeing. It's horns were also more yellow than gold.
Are you serious? I've wasted hours on you. Oh dear lord.
*Ding ning! Drring!*
Needless to say, it shined and I caught it. Don't know if that counts as an RNG shiny as I likely would never had gotten it without changing the date, but then again I don't think the term 'abuse' is applicable.
Me and Cob are currently in a weird love-hate relationship as while I'm happy at getting a shiny Cob, a part of me wishes for its slow, painful and agonizing death. It didn't even have the common decency to suck. It's somewhere in that annoyingly thin line between 'decent' and 'great' (better speed would've clinched it), always reminding me that 'yes, I could've gotten a better shiny Cobalion but I got you as a random shiny instead'.
