• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Ok, I have officially reached the credits with the challenge and Rank 65. That one was a beast also, but Groudon & Kyogre took it like a champ, with a little help from Articuno. Story is complete

Think there will be more challenges and everything, though, as that Battle Royale in the trailer featuring the Primals has yet to occur

Decided to try the game (buying 3,000 gems to truly "test" it out). Have to say that it is pretty good for what is essentially a free game. The overall stats are easy to understand (as are the trees, with each one giving a boost of +10 to them), and the amount of replay value on each stage even after getting all the pkmn in it isn't bad. Also, boss pkmn are just too cheap to use on normal stages. Nabbed a Kyogre with 990 attack and origin pulse a/rest b, and just with that I was able to clear out/capture everything under the lv30 balloon. Kinda hoping this game gets some dlc or a way to send pkmn to ORAS, as without that the game kinda feels unfinished/hurried.

Yeah Origin Pulse is just fantastic. It's such a great ranged attack that I can keep my distance from the boss while attacking it and their minions.

I finally got to buy one of the BW balloons. The Dark Balloon will probably be the last balloon I'll buy for a little while once I reach rank 25. Then it's back to getting more PokeDiamonds.

Managed to nab the building for megastones, have to say that kyogre's origin pulse with a megastone is just deadly (up close with it, I'm killing bosses like ferrothorn in 5 seconds). Being able to "sell" excess pkmn for points is also nice, as you can often turn a quick ruby balloon into 1,000 of them just by killing off everything. Game still feels incomplete though, mind you after seeing them release two games that don't have any form of standard evolution and aren't along the "main series" I'm almost expecting some form of DLC to hit at least one of the games.

I would like to point to Serebii that the location listing are missing pokemon. It isn't quite 100% complete.

Silver Isle- Area 1 missing Roggenrola.
Ruby Volcano- Area 1 missing Cacnea.

Yesterday, I successfully capture Groudon at first seen cause it's shining at the start. Today, I caught Kyogre at second try using Gutsy Carvanha with Crunch and Poison Fang. My 3 Diamonds is worth it to revisit the area. I'm still having a hard time for Ho-oh and Lati@s.

Upon catching a legendary, does anyone know if the one you get is the only one or can you recruit other ones like any other boss? Feel like it would be extremely unlucky to get one with poor power or a poor affix and not be able to get another, but can't seem to find confirmation anywhere that you can re-recruit different versions of the same legendary.

Does anyone know how the pokemon power range is determined? Obviously it goes up as you progress through the game, is it the adventurer rank that increases it or completing challenges?

I guess it must be rank. The next challenge is asking for 1300 and I have only just found a few over 1000.

Pretty sure it's rank. I haven't been completing many challenges, but my rank and power levels have been gradually increasing throughout the game.

Does anyone know what the bar under the name of the balloon does when it is completely filled?

One thing I've noticed while facing boss Pokemon they sometimes have a yellow sparkle around them. It's difficult to quite explain, but I've noticed that when there is a sparkle, I always catch them, even without them wobbling. Look for it, and you will find it :p

Oh, also to note, while many have probably noticed this, I don't believe it's been mentioned, but when befriending a Pokemon, you can see if they have an ability or not before picking them up, as there'll be a gold/yellow aura instead of a blue aura around them.

That bar is just the % of mons in the dungeon you've captured. Upon filling up, it just changes to the word completed.

Also, Serebii, check these out. Not sure if its worth mentioning or if its already known, but they aren't on the main page yet and might be worth knowing.

You get them for collecting 50 of each mon. I'm pretty sure they exist for all pokemon, but this is just what I've found so far.

Sceptile? How in the world are you not only getting him to appear that often, but also capturing him that often?

The diamonds you must spend. I've seen him just twice (I've completed the dungeon entirely), and caught him one with just pursuit as his only move. 50 captures on him is really crazy impressive.

If it helps, I kinda farmed the beginning grass stage for pokecoins for a while (that, and I couldn't get one with a good trait for a while). I also have a 1240 attack ratata with gutsy/endeavor, so capturing things isn't really a problem.

To add to what I'd said about bosses having the yellow sparkles and apparent 100% catch rate (regardless of wobble or not), I've also noticed some normal Pokemon also have the same effect.

Anyone worked out the key to the challenge with Cresselia yet? I can't get it out of the middle area and none of my ranged attacks will reach.

Alright that one is stupid and I hate it more than Mega Glalie/Onix/Milotic in Shuffle. Basically you have to stand around and bait it out of that area, ideally by backing up into the stretches away from the center, if you try to circle around to clear the Lunatone then it'll try to follow you and end up sticking around in that circle, wasting more time.
