• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Discussion of Serebii's Pokémon Rumble World Discoveries & General Discussion

I think it would be nice to have it shown in the location listings whether or not a given Pokemon can spawn as a minion of a boss Pokemon.

Some can be a huge pain to locate otherwise.

I've had 5 super fevers in a row. I've also caught 5 legendaries in a row during said super fevers, and I still see a triple rainbow after articuno, does this have a relation I wonder.

No idea but I chose a balloon with the 6th triple rainbow and it didn't even activate a normal fever.

Serebii I have an idea for the forms page, perhaps have a section on male/female differences too even if they are not recorded in pokedex.

Either epic Pokemon are more common, or I got extremely lucky, because I picked up an epic Wooper and Liepard within the span of about five stages.

The latter is the more noteworthy of the two, as having both Gutsy + and Lucky + makes effective both at collecting Pokemon and money.

They actually are recorded. I think its 'Y' that changes the form in the dex. But I agree, since the forms matter for titles and other various trivial things, it'd be cool to see the different images of them. Not really useful, but interesting.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but if a Pokemon has sparkles around it, it's a guaranteed capture. This can also happen on bosses. So, for example, I encountered Landorus for the first time today and he was sparkling (not shiny, just sparkling). So I switched away from my pokemon catcher to Kyogre to make it easier.

This is the case with any Pokemon. If it has sparkles around it, it's guaranteed to drop.

It seems to me like it's predetermined as to whether or not it's actually possible to wobble a non-boss Pokemon.

Perhaps it's to make it so you can't farm the minion Pokemon in boss fights too easily?

I don't think so. I have had situations where I've grinded for at least 10 boss attacks before the add would wobble.

That bar is just the % of mons in the dungeon you've captured. Upon filling up, it just changes to the word completed.

Also, Serebii, check these out. Not sure if its worth mentioning or if its already known, but they aren't on the main page yet and might be worth knowing.

You get them for collecting 50 of each mon. I'm pretty sure they exist for all pokemon, but this is just what I've found so far.

Mind posting what the image was? Link is broken for me

It doesn't on male/female forms. I have male and female snover but it only shows one. Doesn't show for pikachu or others either.

I didn't realize they even showed the difference between male/female forms of pokemon without dramatic differences in rumble. Guess that would be useful to note.

Has anyone actually encountered a Pokemon with a +++ or ++++ trait?

One of the loading screens mentioned that they exist, but I've yet to see one at rank 59.

I've also seen that message. I'm currently Level 73 and the highest I've seen is a ++.

That's not completely true as I've had a sparkling legendary not drop before. It was one hit away from a KO when it decided to finish me off; I switched to my Groudon or something else that changed (can't remember exactly), it defeated it from the changes splash damage, and it never dropped. I was pretty upset after it happened.... It could've just been a glitch or something, though. I'm not too keen on testing it out lol.

Any know what the secret is to catching mew? I've seen it twice, wobbled it twice, but it still hasn't dropped.

It took a while to find it, but I captured it on my second encounter with little problem. All I use are Epic Pokemon with Gutsy ++ to wobble everything.

Anyone know how to get different forms to appear? I've replayed the Arceus level about 15 times with it being a Ground type in every single one of them.... Same can be said with just about every other legendary. :(

Also, anyone know how to reliably capture Shedinja? I used up my last 20 or so diamonds replaying the Everspring Valley: Entrance level to try and get it. I only had it appear once or twice and had no luck in getting it.

Yeah, the best pkmn I've seen is an epic darkrai with 5 skills being ++ (two of them being gutsy and lucky, which is why I use it as my all-around coin/pkmn collecter with it having an exceedingly spammable knock off). I'm also very interested to see how high the power can get on pkmn, as despite being only lv64 I've nabbed a few legendaries, that darkrai being one of them, with over 3,000 power.

Has anyone spent money for 3000 gems, used them all up, and am terribly upset that you can't spend anymore for more gems? I just want to spend more gems to get the remaining pokemon and other goodies, and now I'm Forced to play the waiting game for months before I get everything. Pretty frustrating.

Kinda a fair compromise actually. In an age in which tons of games are basically "pay to win", they managed to come close to the line without stepping too far over it. Quality-wise, you're either getting what would normally be a $30 ds game for free, or paying $ for what is essentially a "bonus".

And yet, without gems, my progress has practically come to a stop, and I still have a fair way to go to complete the game. I still have over 100 pokemon to collect and plenty of trees to buy, yet to buy them, now I have to wait for the mine to give me 20 gems a day to buy trees that are over 100 - 150 gems and even more, as well as use gems to get to and choose which area I want to go.

The point is, when I had gems, nothing was stopping me from progressing, but now I have to wait, and there's nothing I can do about it, and its just frustrating because its a good game, and I can't play it how I want to.

I'm curious as to what exactly you were buying that caused you a gem shortage.

I only have the level 9 trees left to buy and will have 150 diamonds to spare after that.

On a side note, it would be nice if the game got some updates like Shuffle has. Hoopa, Volcanion, additional challenges, some levels that make rare Pokemon more accessible, and perhaps a return of the ability to battle the Pokemon collections of other players would be welcome.

whenever I didn't get a legendary, I would pay the 3 gems to come back to that same stage over and over and over until I got that legendary. Also, I didn't know about the wobble tricks until later, and was spending the 2 gems to continue whenever my toys lost to a legendary, sometimes 4 or 5, and even then I still didn't get that legendary.

I know I could've spent my gems a little better, but still, I didn't think I did that bad, and now I'm out. And In any case, I'm sure plenty of other players will experience the same thing sooner or later.

Does the False Swipe trick actually work, as mentioned on the game's page? I haven't read any forum posts on the game yet, but today there were a few Pokemon I've literally been hitting with False Swipe a few hundred times and that still haven't wobbled. Is this just bad luck, or does False Swipe only make Pokemon wobble that still have some energy left?

Sure it was actually a sparkling Pokemon and not just a Pokemon that appeared to be sparkling? I've had the latter quite a few times. There are several moves that make it look as though a Pokemon is sparkling. I've especially experienced this with Meloetta. Whenever she is preparing an attack, there are little sparks coming down, making it look as though she is sparkling.

It only worked for me when they had more than 1 HP left. I probably hit Mesprit a couple hundred time with a Gutsy Pokemon before I said screw it and finished her off.

Try out the Endeavor trick on them. I started using it today and it works a lot better than False Swipe, though I think I'm going to have to use a Speedy Pokemon with it instead of a Gutsy one. Some bosses just hit you before you can really do anything. :/ What I need is a combination of the two.

It might've been that. I wish I remembered which Legendary it was so I would know for sure. I guess the only way I'm going to find out is to try and replicate it, but that probably won't happen for a while as I'm pretty low on diamonds. I've wasted so many on Legendaries.:(
