Discussion of Serebii's Pokémon Rumble World Discoveries & General Discussion

At the very least sparkling Pokemon should have a very high catch rate close to 100%. I'm not sure if I ever had a sparkling Pokemon that I didn't catch, but if that ever happened, it didn't happen too often.

Try out the Endeavor trick on them.

How exactly does that work? Is there a summary somewhere?

I just read through all of the posts in this thread to find out about it. As far as I'm aware as long as you have greater or equal health to the Pokemon you choose to go after, you will only do 1 damage per hit. That lets you get in more possible chances at a wobbly Pokemon, whereas False Swipe does a decent amount of damage, but leaves the foe with 1 HP. It doesn't seem to matter if you keep attacking them when they're at 1HP because you're not really doing anymore damage.

The only real downside to Endeavor is that it WILL eventually knock out the Pokemon, albeit slowly. I'm starting to take enemies down to about 25% of their health before I start using it to make sure I'll be able to do enough damage to finish them off. If something does happen then you can always wobble them again, so it's not that big of a deal.

I should probably let someone else explain how it works in more detail. I'm not that great at explaining things; especially stuff I just learned about lol.

Yeah, I think I get it. I am trying it right now and it actually seems to work quite well, although I just experienced a weird bug. I used Endeavor to make a Pokemon wobble, but when I beat it (it was definitely still wobling, I only took about a second to beat it) it didn't drop a figure. I don't know, what was going on there...

Oh, I guess the first case was the problem then. The Pokemon just so happened to have an attack which caues confusion, so the Pokemon probably got confused the same moment it was beat.

Rumble World gave me a wonderful run of luck today, managed to catch a bunch of nice things including Salamence, both Regigigas and Meloetta after two tries, and Rayquaza first try. Slightly lower power than the Arceus-Ground I got but being true to the in-game method of Mega Evolving is nice for saving me diamonds. Also used 3 diamonds to try the stage again and found Rayquaza sparkling though it was lower power. Given that my highest power Pokemon are edging around the 1700 range I'm sure they'll start to get outpowered sooner or later, but for now I'm liking the Dragon Ascent and Judgment spam.

Endeavor doesn't seem to work 100% of the time. The Cloyster I just tried using it on was being extremely stubborn. I Endeavored it from a bit past the end of its name all the way down to 0 HP without a single wobble. Probably hit it a good 300+ times. Though, in the end it still dropped it for me. I guess the game felt like rewarding me for my efforts lol.

There's some kind of weird mechanic in play when it comes to wobbling non-boss Pokemon, as I've had the same issue on several occasions, as well.

I feel like it's easier to wobble them with harder hitting attacks, in which case repeatedly using Heal Pulse to heal them then beating on them with a stronger move until it happens would work better.

Yeah, looks like it. I was trying to catch Honchkrow today and used a lot of Endeavors on at least two of them. None of them ever started to wobble, whereas most other Pokemon usually start to wobble after just a few hits with Endeavor. Hard to tell if that's just bad luck or if certain Pokemon react different to different attacks.

Right now I'm sitting at rank 72 with 4 epic Pokemon. I've learned that World Championships X is designed to make you fail. The enemies have tons of HP where you need at least 6-7 super effective attacks to KO them. That is coming from my 2100ish Groudon.

I'm stuck on the World Championship as well. The Chesnaughts and their Spiky Shields are what's annoying me so far...

Most Endeavor wobbles I've hit have been in the 10-20 hits range. Never had one past that.

Mew continuing to frustrate, maybe I'll just save it to last in case there is some hidden reason I can't catch it yet. Though I don't know why it would even wobble if you can't catch it yet.

Btw., I completely forgot to mention something in my last post: I actually had the game freeze once today. It happened in Regirock's stage. I went there a second time by paying someone 3 diamonds. When I walked up to the point where the boss cutscene normally plays, my 3DS suddenly froze completely. The only thing I could do was forcing a shutdown by holding the power button for a few seconds. It kinda pissed me off since I wasted three diamonds, but aside from that everything was fine.

Okay, so I had just gotten into Pokemon Rumble World this afternoon, and I gotta admit, it's a significant improvement upon the original (I have it on the Wii).

Could that be your problem? I had no problem in capturing mine once it wobbled.

Absolutely Absol

Well, it looks like I'm not only one. I was really unlucky to get several freezes so I had to get through recruit/catch screen quickly to save. Auto saving may be good but sometimes I wish it should save at recruit/catch screen or have ability to save manually rather than save at location screen after picking one. That would save diamonds.

Although I did get lucky like got Fantastic Gigalith on first try after bought Legend Terrian balloon and it got all 6 traits.

Can't say I'm really a fan of SciresM, considering that he's the one largely responsible for all those easy access cheating methods like Pokegen in the main Pokemon games...

What does the heart mean next to an area?

I'm not sure where you're finding hearts. There is an hourglass by balloons for how much time is left. Stars by an area affect which Pokemon in the level you will be able to obtain. Only certain stages can get 3 stars where you face a legendary Pokemon.
