So they really did axe the standard recruitment method.

I take it that means you can't even evolve Pokemon recruited with the Connection Orb, then? Because you'd permanently lose access to a particular species of Pokemon if you did decide to evolve one of them.

Do you really need unevolved Pokemon if you have their evolved form? That's the least of my worries.

So it's definitely confirmed you can't get multiples of the same Pokemon? But like somebody mentioned earlier, how would that work for Pokemon like Meowstic? Or Jellicent? Or Hippopotas? Very confused.

I can kinda see why they would change the recruitment method for this game since it includes all of the Pokemon and it would take forever with the normal method but not being able to have multiples (and what about Vivillion?) is kinda...depressing.

Hmm...but on the connection orb page on Serebii, there's a pic of a Charmander connected with two Combee (one male, one female) but it also so says on the bottom, "You can only connect with one of each species, or form..."

So I don't really understand.

I have a few questions, myself.

1. Do we ever get the limit of team size increased to 4?
2. Can you ever go to Treasure Town or Pokémon Square?
3. What's with the seemingly random increase in HP I've been seeing in certain playthroughs? Does eating Oran Berries now temporarily increase max HP as well?
4. Does the game ever show all the Pokémon being restored, even those from earlier on like Wailord or the Eons?
5. I've seen that the game asks if you want your partner to be male or female (the very last question of the quiz), but is there any gender choice for the player character itself?

1. No, just three but you can escort multiple Pokémon
2. No
3. Oran Berries boost by 100HP
4. Yes

If a Pokémon has significant differences in gender or form, it has multiple connections

Oh Wow, Noe Town on the wind continent looks super pretty.

Serebii, what about Kangashkan's store and the "gifts" we receive? What is it good for, do we get great items through it?
And what about that thing of summoning legendary pokemon other than hoopa into dungeons? I didn't see that mentioned anywhere yet.

For that matter, is there any word on if you can actually recruit Legendary Pokemon permanently, or are they stuck as exclusives for Hoopa's thing?

Well he already said that he got Cobalion, Terrakion, Jirachi, Mew, Victini....there are missions to get Genesect, Mewtwo and Mesprit so that's good. But yeah, what about cover legends? How do you get Arceus, Palkia, Groudon, Lugia, Ho-Oh? Curious about this.
(They made a big deal out of Zekrom, Darkrai and Deoxys in the trailers but I didn't see them mentioned anywhere yet either)

If you befriend legendaries, are you able to nickname them? Because that was one thing I didn't like about GtI: you couldn't nickname pokemon such as Virizion or Keldeo.

a few questions.

1- Can you change your team leader (play as a different Pokemon in dungeons) post-game? Or do you have to play as your starting Pokemon/ partner?

2- Do any of the older dungeons or renamed variations of them from the three previous games actually appear in the Windy/Forest/Cloud continents?

Serebii, the escaping boss mission was in Sky, maybe in Darkness and Time too.

That was also hilarious with the escort ditching you in a Monster House.

Yeah, the Monster House as a Mission has been there int eh Explorers Triad and the escaping Boss/Outlaw was also in Explorers.

Thanks. I delegated a lot of those games' coverage to Coronis since I just couldn't deal with it. I really am not fond of some of the game design here. Though now I have ~400 revives, I'm good :p

1. In Dungeons, absolutely. In overworld no
2. I'm not familiar with the Japanese names of them. I'll work it out when doing Dungeon listings :)

I think the "escaping outlaw" mission type was also in GTI. Not sure about Monster Houses being relevant in missions, but I do know that they've frequently housed the stairs, which is more than a bit annoying.

So if Serebii was able to connect with 2 (or 3 if you count player character) Raichu, that de-confirms that you can't have multiples of a species, correct? Because Raichu's gender doesn't change it's form or moves, like Meowstic or Mothim, for example. :D
