Maybe it's it possible that everyone complaining is just reeking in nostalgia. Did you think that the dub isn't any better now and you just want the old voices back? Plus why does it matter anyway? They don't even have old characters in anyway now besides Ash, TRio, and then for like or two episodes per series Delia and Oak. All the other characters are new. So just deal with ash and TRio and it's fine.
There was a reason...their contracts. If you forced the current ones out, that would be for no reason.
-We've already proven that entire statement wrong with two basic statements: (a) we prefer the Origins TPCi voices to the Anime TPCi voices, and they debuted later, and (b) with the fact Bill Rogers makes Brock sound like an old man rather than a teenager, and the fact that Sarah Natochenny smokes, thus impacting her vocal chords and making her unable to voice a young boy like Ash. These are objective truths.
-The dub is suffering from multiple issues in our opinion, Yuoke. These range from the poor script writing for Ash and Team Rocket with various forms of slang, rhyme, as well as alliteration (all of which were not used in the previous dub to even close to this degree, if at all) to the horrid music replacement score Ed Goldfarb has plagued the dub with, to TPCi replacing more of the Japanese music than 4Kids ever did for the last 3 seasons in a row, and the shortened length of the intros.
- It matters because Ash and TRio do not sound age appropriate in our eyes, and additional, their actors seem to be very poor at emoting or expressing viable emotion in comparison to their predecessors: the same can be said of Oak and Delia as well. Also, the other older characters may cameo as well, so there's that.
- Untrue on the contracts: what happened is they were told by TPCi reps they would be replaced and weren't needed anymore, as they had already found replacements (the current cast/crew) for them. They only approached James Cathcart and Kayzie Rogers at the time for whatever reason. Finally, there is very valid reason to want the current cast to be removed from production: their less than professional behavior towards fans is one such reason."
