Display Case Inserts- Are These Normal?

So I know this is using a Pokemon game as an example, but I am posting it here because this may not necessarily be exclusive to that franchise, and because I was unsure where else to post it.

I recently bought the Sword and Shield game and expansion pass physical bundles on eBay. The copy of Sword did not have the usual case insert art like Shield did. The art that came with mine shows the front art on both sides on the outside, while the inside is completely blank. The seller stated that while the game itself was an authentic copy, the cover insert was from a store display.

Is this something that some retailers do for games in general, Switch or otherwise? Or was I taken for a ride? The game works as it should so I'm inclined to believe the seller was being truthful, but I thought I would ask just for clarification. I took photos to show what I am talking about, but I don't have Instagram or anything else to link to and couldn't find another photo option here.

You said the game is a bundle then it is simply a decision made by the developers to save money. Video game companies are already moving away moving away from including paper manuals that teach instructions and tips.

I'm not referring to the contents of the cartridge or to a manual or other booklet. I'm talking about the cover art. If it's like the Shield copy I have, a standard copy should be like the following:

-On the front it should show the Pokemon Sword logo, with Zacian at the top and Calyrex and Urshifu on the bottom, just above a red banner that says all the content is on the cartridge and no separate purchase or download is required.

-The back should show screenshots from the game, along with some brief blurbs about the DLC, which of the Switch's modes are compatible, the ESRB rating, and the other usual notices.

-On the inside, there should be painted art that depicts areas on the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra.

My copy of Shield has all of the above on its cover art insert, modified to match that version. All the copy of Sword has is the front art copied to the back and blank space on the inside. This is why I asked if this is normal for a display Switch game case at a physical retailer.
