I once thought that if you put two dittos in a daycare, you would get a random pokemon egg. What if this worked? Discuss.

If you actually do it, you get nothing. My freind's GSC guide says you get another Ditto if you do it, but I never bothered to test.

Anyways, if that happened, it'd be bad. There'd be no more need to buy both games, rare Pokemon would be too easy to get (I mean Pokemon like Chansey, Tauros, and Pikachu), and other bad things.

I don't understand the point of this thread. If it did work, you'd just get a random Pokemon, okay, cool. But we know it doesn't work. So what is there to discuss? I won't close this, but I just don't see the point o_O

What if....the Ditto egg became a random Pokemon available the route you caught that/those Ditto/s on? Not too crazy but not to a point that you're getting nothing.

I think getting a random egg would be pretty cool. And of course, you couldn't get legendaries. Rare PKMN like Chansey and Scyther would be rare as well, but common PKMN like Zigzagoon and Pidgey would pop up alot.

Ditto is only able to transform into Pokémon it sees. If it tries to transform by memory, it would get many details wrong. And those details are very important to breed.
So two Ditto won't be able to produce anything.
