You do know that people use it for breeding purposeS?can breed with anything except legendaries,babys,nidos,and itself,the only poke that can breed with genderless

They are good, for breeding. Maybe not AS good for battling. But they're still worth catching.
you dont always attack last lol, you copy the enemy pokemon's EXACT stats, including stat ups or stat drops, EXCEPT for HP, ditto will always keep the same hp.
This means that you would have the same speed as the enemy pokemon and it is then a 50/50 chance of going first or going last

Wtf are you talking about? It dosen't copy stats, it only copys moves =/
actually it does copy the stats (all-be-it only for that battle), this is where NetBattle testing > in-game testing

i use to think ditto had no purpose, until I saw the Orange League Champion use it on his main team (in the anime)
but I only use it for breeding reasons... I dont like baby pokemon, but I am trying to complete my pokedex

It copies:
- Moves, each one has 5 PP.
- Stats, all stats are equal except for HP.
- Stat Boosts, for example if a Raikou had +4 SAtk and Ditto transformed into it, it would also have the +4 SAtk.

Pretty much answered now. Ditto is mainly used for Breeding, but some other people sometimes use it in some strategical course of action.
