okay lets say if you recruited a ditto would it be able to transform into any pokemon? or just every pokemon in the dungeon including legendaries if there are any in certain dungeons.

It can only transform into a wild pokemon on the same floor. I'm pretty sure it can't transform into a legendary. Be aware that the transformation only lasts one floor.

And after they transform, they can only use struggle. Lousiest pokemon in this game.

Ditto isn't really handy in this game, because breeding doesn't exist... in PMD.

I personally don't really like them. They are dittos, but once they use transform, all they have is Struggle and the normal A attack, which is pretty lousy. Ditto is more of a 'Wow, I have a ditto' and not really a 'This is my battle pokemon' because they have no good attacks.
