@Zalck: Ah, your SU amused me so much! And I love the bit you did with Personality, given that Cain is a song writer. Although if he knows that many instruments already, that enhancement won't be noticed as easily. I will admit that the organ is a pretty hard one to learn (I only know that by talking with musicians). And you could break up the paragraphs better so it isn't so wall'o'text'y, but that's minor. Accepted. And I have no problem with Meloetta being shiny-colored. It's a unique Pokemon, so it really doesn't make that much of a difference.

@lawmaster: Your form is rather sloppy, missing some punctuation, missing some words, and not spaced out right. Plus, you're missing the Pokemon form for the Vaporeon; if something happened to it, you should explain what. I do like that Vosok is said to have a therapist; way too many over-angsty characters could have had issues resolved if they had just seen a therapist, or someone they could talk to in confidence. Despite that, his personality is flat and needs fleshing out. I'd give that to an NPC, not a PC.

Plus, there is a bit of a realism issue between his being a good runner and having anorexia problems. I'd be okay with the anorexia bit if it was handled with care, but in order for me to accept it, the sign-up would have to be of top-notch quality to prove the player can handle the issue. On Vosok, it's kind of disruptive (on first reading, I saw 'starving himself' and went, wait, what??!). And I know runners; they eat quite a lot to keep up the energy to do so. So if he's really thin and weak, he'd have trouble with running for long distances. Rejected; you can't sign up for Thundurus, and if you sign up for another legendary, you need to take more care in editing the form.

Okay then...
@Niihyl: Your mind will connect to Genesect's once you accept the pendant. However, you won't gain access to its powers until you defeat it in battle and earn its blessing... well, full approval in its case, given that it's primitive.

Reserves:
CyberBlastoise - Cobalion - *laughs* yeah, Link would fit the requirements, but he'd be a bit out of place...
Sir Forgets-A-Lot - Landorus
robincool98 - Reshiram
Aura Wolfe - Zekrom

Back Again...
Thanks! Just because he knows how to play instruments doesn't mean he is good at all of them! ;)

Yay shiny Meloetta! I'm so excited for this!

So after we receive the pendants, we are linked to our legend, then we travel to their hiding place and do what exactly? If we don't have a Pokemon, I don't see how we can battle them.

You will have to be crative with it, although if you're really not sure what to do, I can (and I probalby will form time to time) take control of the legendaries to challenge you. You have Virizion... so you have to find it and pass its test. Note that it doesn't have to be a battle test for that particular Pokemon. It's just a test of some sort to see if you have the courage or whatever to satisfy the Pokemon's expectations. Since I've got LoZ on my mind, it's like how in Wind Waker where the gods would not reveal the location of Hyrule unless the hero gathered the pearls (proving himself to the nature spirits) and climbed to the top of a puzzle filled tower. Virizion's test probably won't be that complicated.

On the other hand, Genesect and Kyurem do require being battled because of their mindsets. So the chosen of those two will have to gather a team first, then go find their legendary. The befriending aspect will work once the pendant is accepted and it could help to befriend one or two regular Pokemon before searching for your legend.

And like I told Niihyl... you don't recieve your special powers (in your case, the armor, sword, and sword skills) until you have met Virizion and passed its test. Then you will receive their full blessings.

Name: Alice Rockwell

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Link: Kyurem

Item: Expert Belt

Description: Alice is about average height for a girl her age, and she has a thin but somewhat athletic build. Her hair is a golden blond and is a bit curly towards the ends, curling up a bit at her shoulders but staying straighter higher up. Her eyes are a bright, friendly shade of green, and she always seems to have a smile on her face about one thing or another.

Alice generally wears dresses, usually something with fancy details, embroidery, or rich material. Her personal favorite is a sea-blue & white dress. The dress itself is thick enough to keep her warm in the colder areas of Unova, but light enough to not be too warm in the more sunny places. The main part of the dress is a sea-blue color, while the details and accents are white. The skirt of the dress goes down to about her knees, and the hem is trimmed in white lace. The sleeves of the dress are short, and end much the same way as the skirt, trimmed in lace. White extensions trail just a bit from the back of the skirt, and continue over to the front of the skirt, where they end about halfway down, adding layers to the dress. A similar set of extensions are around the shoulder area, though these meet in a point halfway down her back and end just a bit bellow her collar.

In addition, Alice wears a thin white scarf around her neck as well as black shoes. Occasionally, she wears a white ribbon in her hair, though she only does this for the sake of formality or appearance and rarely wears it outdoors. A silver charm bracelet adorns her left wrist, while a very special ring rests on the ring finger of her right hand. The ring is a symbol of her special connection with Kyurem, and as such she tries her best to keep it inconspicuous and safe.

Personality: Alice is a genuinely kind hearted girl. She is soft spoken and polite in nearly any given situation and always tries her best to leave a good impression on others. She is quick to form strong opinions of others, but knows that keeping such opinions to herself is usually the best way to keep a peaceful relationship going. A single phrase or action can completely determine her initial opinion of you, and once formed, it will take some time for her to change that opinion. Even if that initial opinion is negative however, she will still act in a polite and respectable, though not necessarily friendly manner.

Alice has a good heart and she always tries to look out for others, regardless of wither or not she really knows them. If you treat her, and others, kindly, then she will be a very good friend. That said, she does still have some common sense and she knows when not to trust someone. If you do something to earn her distrust, it will take some serious effort to get back in her good graces.

When presented with difficulties, Alice shows a remarkable ability to take a step back and analyze nearly any situation, no matter how high emotions would normally rise. Her composure lends her a mature impression and her intellect gives her an adult attitude which often leads her to find more in common with people older than her rather than kids her own age. Her polite and formal mannerisms and speech also help with this. You could even say that she has a bit or a regal air about her at times, though she herself will deny it. She simply likes to treat others with kindness, so that they might do the same in return, both to herself and to others.

When it comes to Pokemon, Alice is just the sort of person who suffers because of Ghetsis' rule. She may be kind and friendly to other people, but she is affectionate towards nearly any Pokemon. Though she has to be careful about it, she often goes out into the forest to feed or play with the wild Pokemon near her home. She even has a Pokemon partner, though she considers the Elgyem a friend more than a pet.

History: Alice comes from a fairly well off family. She was born and raised in Unova, most of which she has lived in Mistralton. Alice's father was an airplane pilot. His mother was an airplane pilot. Her father was an airplane pilot. There's a long line of pilots in her family history, and the grounding of Unova's planes hit her father hard. He had been paid well, and her mother owned a local jewelry store, so they had lived a fairly wealthy lifestyle. After the planes were grounded however, her father had to give up his pilot's cap for something a little more mundane, trains. Putting his captaining skills to good use, her father became a train conductor and thus spent a lot more time away from home since he had to travel out of town to work. Mistralton was the only city with an airport in Unova, but also one of the few with no train lines.

So, Alice didn't get to see her father as much as before after that. Her mother tried to be home a little more often to make up for it, but her job as a store owner kept her busy on most days. So, Alice had a lot of free time growing up. Perhaps its for that reason that she turned to the local Pokemon for companionship.

She was always a bit of a shy kid, and she didn't make friends easily. But, she found it easier to interact with the little Pokemon who would scurry into her back yard every now and then that she did other people. She of course grew out of this phase, but her love for Pokemon companions remained. She would go out almost every day to play with the local Pokemon, always careful to heed her mother's warnings about not getting to close to the Pokemon. Team Plasma kept a look out for that sort of thing.

For a while, Alice was content to simply go about things the same way as usual. Then, two important events happened. The first was a nightly intruder. Late one night, or early one morning technically, Alice was awoken by the sounds of something rustling and a sharp headache. Crawling out of bed carefully, she noticed the window was unlocked and slightly ajar. Following the trail of scattered items, she discovered the culprit, a lone Elgyem. She wasn't entirely sure what the little thing was looking for, but she figured it wouldn't refuse a snack. The Elgyem took the treats and ran, back out the window and into the night. A few nights later, it came back. Eventually, it never left. Now, Rune is Alice's companion, going everywhere she goes. She has been careful to keep him indoors, so as to avoid suspicion, but spends a lot of time with him and the two are good friends.

The second event was something even more life-changing, perhaps drastically so. It was a letter and a package, from some person named Tao...

Other: Alice is honestly a kind hearted person, and thus will constantly be at odds with how Kyurem tries to manipulate her. She wants to believe that she can reason with the dragon. Kyurem thinks its only a matter of time before she gives in.

- Pokemon –

Species: Elgyem

Gender: Male

Nickname: Rune

Personality: Rune is a curious little guy, prone to sticking his head, hands, or brain into anything he finds interesting, which is most things. He can accidentally give headaches to those he doesn't know, and intentionally give them to those he doesn't like. He scares easily, but is quick to calm back down and has an innate attraction to all sorts of mechanical devices. Of course, since he tends to pry open covers and pull connections apart to get a look inside, its probably best to keep them out of his reach. Rune has quite the appetite for fruit juice, and an offering of such will ensure that you get on his good side.

Other: Rune can give psychic "nudges" to people he has spent time around. These aren't anywhere near the sophistication of actual telepathic dialog however, and are more along the lines of feelings or vague ideas such as "scared", "hungry", or "cold".

- Legendary -

Name: Kyurem

Gender: Male

Personality: Kyurem likes to think that he is the top of the food chain; he is vain and totally confident as a result. He is a firm believer in might makes right, and that the strong should succeed. He is highly competitive and is confused by acts of kindness and altruism (unless they can be explained with selfish motives). If someone defeats him and thus ‘proves’ themselves stronger/better, then Kyurem will acknowledge that power and try to study that person so that he can be the most powerful once again. He also doesn’t learn from his mistakes all that well.

Posthuman
Name: Garnet Avaritia

Age: 15

Link: Genesect
Gender: female
Personality: Genesect is an animal, pretty much. She sees the world as water, things that are food, things that are dangerous, and things that are insignificant. As she is stuck in a self-preservation survival mindset, she will attempt to seek a safe place and hunt. If something comes up that she can’t identify as water, food, or insignificant, she’ll assume dangerous and work to destroy it. She’s in a Pokeball most of the time due to this, so she’ll be partly sensing through her linked partner. Team Plasma’s modifications seem to have greatly reduced or eliminated any reproductive instinct.

Item: Soothe Bell

Gender: Male

Description: Garnet is only 5’1”, and looks rather androgynous, and can be mistaken for a girl at a distance, something that is a peeve of his. He is Japanese by heritage, but has neck-length blond hair (e.g., Leonel from Rune Factory 2), a rare recessive trait. He has thin, lightly slanted “asian eyes”, which are dark brown. His eyes are deep and serious, a startling contrast to the rest of his face. Everything about his features is petite. He has a small, elfin nose and mouth, with a chipped canine tooth. His face is rounded in a way that people describe as ‘cute’.

Garnet has a thin, light build. He rarely exercises or commits to physical work, so he isn’t very muscled at all. He is fairly scrawny, since food isn’t allowed in the library, where he spends many hours. He only weighs a little under 100 lbs. His skin is fairly pale, since the time he does spend outside is spent in the shady woods.

Garnet has small hands, with fingers that are slightly longer than average. He wears contact lenses, clear ones, not in any color. He wears dress shirts, which are always unbuttoned, over simple, solid-color t-shirts. He wears drainpipe jeans, which are blue, with white thread. He wears a single garnet earring on his right earlobe. The earring is shaped like a tiny CD. On his feet you can find a pair of worn black-leather loafers.

Garnet wears the Pendant as a watch. He has it on a silver strap that belonged to his father. The round gray/black shale is lighter than it appears, and stays on easily. The fossil is odd, it looks rather like a very small Kabutops, but more insectoid. There are also colorful LED lights rimmed around it that stay lit with no visible power source.

Personality: Garnet is intelligent, in a scholarly way. He is an excellent chess player, he reads often, and enjoys doing so. Very curious, he enjoys learning new things, and figuring things out. He knows lots of things, and enjoys a ubiquitous vocabulary of multitudinous lexemes. This makes him sound patronizing at times, especially when explaining some obscure topic. He enjoys working with computers, and writing new codes to make different things happen is always a delight.

For all of his intelligence, Garnet is easily led, and not confrontational. Rather naïve as well, he is very prone to peer pressure. He ‘reflects’ his surroundings. When he is with quiet people, he is quiet, courteous, and calm. When around excitable people, he laughs and shouts with them. This lets him fit in fairly well, and Garnet is always with a group of friends… or at least that’s what it appears to be. On closer inspection, Garnet is always near the edges. He laughs with them, but is never the target of a direct question, and is never expected to actively take part in whatever antics they have planned.

Because of his naïveté, he is easily made fun of. He hates being belittled, and can become openly hostile. He is often unable to see a joke, and once he finds that he was made a fool of, he becomes very angry.

Garnet isn’t a loner. He likes emotional companionship, without which he withdraws into himself. His best friend and Grandfather kept him sane. Without the calming influence of friends and family, Genesect’s insanity could be very dangerous.

Garnet wants power. He admires his grandfather, who was a seasoned Pokémon Trainer, because he resisted getting rid of his Pokémon. When his Pokémon were forcibly taken, he fought for them. His Grandfather lost, but Garnet admires his strength, and his courage. He wants to be strong, so that he can take down Team Plasma, and make his grandpa proud. He actually admires Ghetsis, as a strong, cunning leader. The way he took over, the way he disposed of the troublesome ‘King’. Garnet has no personal dislike of Ghetsis. He just wants his grandpa to be happy, and to get freedom from control. He has always wanted to be the best, to be better than his peers.

He has always been a dreamy child, and his childhood was spent pretending to be a Gym Leader, to invent something wonderful and becoming famous, and to win the Pokémon League. He dreams of grandeur, glory, and power.

Although Garnet can be swept away in arrogance and delusions of grandeur, he’s really a good kid at heart, who cares for his friends and family. Whether he will last against the maddening voice of Genesect will be a up to him, a test of his mental fortitude. But of course, his greed for power could be his downfall.

History: Garnet was raised by his grandpa. His parents were very young when he was born, and couldn’t take care of him. He was an “accident baby”. His grandpa was a strong man, who had once challenged the Pokémon League. His grandfather was unbending, and strict, but loved Garnet deeply, as a son. Garnet lived in Nacrene City, and loved the museum, and would visit often. He spent lots of time in Nacrene Gym, reading the books there. He was taught how to read by his grandfather, who said that a strong mind was just as important as a strong body. When he was five, Team Plasma took over, and demanded that his grandfather release his Pokémon. Garnet’s grandfather resisted at first, but soon, he was forced to release his Pokémon.

His grandfather was sad after that, and was more subdued. Because of the ban on Poke-balls, he never caught another Pokémon, and Garnet never got a chance to have any. Rather, he began going to a public school after fourth grade. He fit in, but didn’t make many very close friends.

At school, he did very well, but didn’t like physical education, having little talent for physical work. He much preferred the nice, air-conditioned classrooms. He did enjoy target sports though, outside of school. The satisfaction of driving an arrow, or a bullet into a target, and the focus it required pleased him. He didn’t like art. While he said it was because art was too inexact, and too subjective, the real reason was that he was a terrible artist, and didn’t like creating sub-par work.

Garnet’s one close friend was a girl, a year older than him. She was serious, but friendly. They shared a love of discovery, and would often explore Pinwheel Forest, mapping them out. He chipped his tooth on one of these encounters, where he was startled by a flock of Pidove. He had a bit of a crush on her, but she went off to high school a year before he did, finding a boyfriend as well. Garnet was lonely, and hurt. He turned further inward, becoming more obsessive in his lust for power and glory.

Garnet’s grandfather was growing older, depression at Team Plasma’s rule taking its toll. Garnet worried for him, and indulged in fantasies of destroying Team Plasma, and throwing Ghetsis off a suitably high cliff. When Tao’s package arrived, Garnet decided. This was his chance to gain power, power enough to get rid of Team Plasma, and make his Grandfather proud.

And of course, perhaps a coup d’état was in order. Lord Garnet. He liked the sound of that. He believed he would be a good ruler. A kind one. Genesect's power could take him there.

Other: Garnet is easily misled. He also has a great desire for power, and may be willing to sacrifice morals for the strength Genesect can bring. Whether he’ll control the power, or the power will control him is yet to be seen…

Pokémon:

Capo the Whirlipede:

Gender: Male

Appearance:Capo looks just like a standard Whirlipede, except his shell is lightly scarred.

Personality: Capo is tough and street-smart. He is often exasperated by Garnet's naivete, but respects him, and rather fears him, for his strength. He is very proud, and dislikes losing. He rarely obeys Garnet's instructions unless he personally agrees with them, and usually goes off to do his own thing when in battle.

Capo is always ready to attack. He cares little for the affairs of humans, and is always willing to fight for supremacy. He has aspirations for power just as much as Garnet does... they'll make a great, or very dangerous, pair.

Shura the Sigilyph

Gender: Female

Appearance: Nothing out of the ordinary

Personality: Shura is old. Ancient even. She has lived to see entire civilizations rise and fall. Thus, Shura is very patient, and very good at predicting the actions of people and Pokemon. She has seen every pattern of behavior. Shura rarely makes herself known, being a very behind-the-scenes person. Although quiet and calm, she has spent millennia protecting a long-dead city, and the change of pace was very welcome. Garnet is simply another target to be protected, if a rather more mobile one.

Eeks the Rotom

Gender: Male

Appearance: A bright orange fridge. Eeks is currently possessing a refrigerator.

Personality: Eeks is a bit of a spaz. Rather reckless even. He enjoys causing trouble, especially at the cost of Team Plasma. Although he is currently a refrigerator, he prefers to stay in his regular form, which is less conspicuous than the giant electric fridge. Easily bored and rather battle-happy, he is constantly moving.

@mariobrosvswariobros: That is one hard to read sign-up. It's missing a lot of punctuation. And honestly, I'm not sure what to make of 'He has a raging soul that is so generous it rolls in a tornado.' Mixed metaphors much?

The History section is especially bad. I'm not sure why Ghetsis would would spring out like a ninja at some kid to yell at him for catching a Pokemon in a Pokeball. Sure, he was trying to stop that, but that's just goofy. And the battle was unintentionally hilarious when you said that Ghetsis chose his son, N's Zoroark. So he has a Pokemon for a son? And the Pokemon section was much too short. Rejected; you can't sign up under Tornadus now and you would need a much better form to get accepted with any other legend.

@TheSequelReturns: Really nice sign-up as always (aside from few typos, but whatever). I look forward to seeing the dynamic between Alice and Kyurem, Accepted.

@Niihyl: *laughs* You know, I just gave Genesect a story in Pokedex One-Shots. It was a female there, and then I came to read your SU. Nice coincidence.

Garnet reminds me of N. Fascinating. I like how he has a draw to power and thus respects Ghetsis and would be vulnerable to Genesect. Accepted.

@Whimsi: Sure, I'll put you down for Tornadus.

Okay, got you two reserved. That leaves just Terrakion then as not reserved or taken.

Ah, and there's the last one...

Rich is a nice character and it looks pretty good... one major problem, though. Terrakion is looking for a loyal person who would defend the weak. You've got the loyal part, but not about defending the weak. He seems more like Virizion's kind with defending his friends (but Virizion's taken). He's also pretty close to being picked by Reshiram with not telling lies. You need to rework his personality to fit the qualifications better. As that's the main problem, you're at Pending right now.

The dyslexia is a nice touch, especially given the level of language Tao uses. Though I'm not sure how you get 'dee-el' out of 'del-zi-el', as I can't think of 'z' showing up as a silent letter much...

I am Iron Man!
1 Question: Can the trainer with Reshiram be Hilda please!!

Name: James Michael Thompson

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Link: Reshiram, (Female).

Item: Charcoal

Description: James is just like all normal humans. He has a height of 6’3 and weighs 190 lbs. He has an average build. Not so muscular and not so flabby. He has slightly fair skin and some people call him black. He sports a slicked back black hair that he keeps in place with gel. He suffers from Heterochromia and so both the color of his eyes in one side is black while in the other side is red. He sometimes wears black contact lens when in reading. He also brings a red sling bag with fiery flames as its design that he bought from a mall in Castelia City.

James has a Poke-Gear (uses it for music and time...not for calls etc...) that he got from his relatives in Johto before Team Plasma ruled Unova. He wears a V-necked white shirt with a fiery flame design much like his bag. His white shirt is covered by a black biker jacket with again a fiery flame design as he is addicted to fire. He wears black pants with his secret Poke-Gear on his front pocket. He wears white sneakers with again flame decals on both shoes. He wears black fingerless gloves (that he keeps in the back of his pocket) that he uses only when in battle. He also has 2 lighters that he keeps in his pocket. Meanwhile, the pendant that he was given has a yin-yang design, but the white parts are glossy while the black parts are dull. This pendant is on a stainless steel chain which he wears around his neck.

Personality: James is a typical ordinary guy. He is truthful and never tells a lie until needed in which he goes berserk, starts regretting about his lies and gets frequent guilt trip nightmares if he lies after which he tells the truth. He is slightly curious and is good at scavenging. When he's exhausted, he can instantly fall asleep once he lies down on the bed. He likes to exercise to maintain his health, weight, strength and agility. He is intelligent too but does not want to show it to others. He has no shame and is not easily embarrassed.

James is a pyromaniac and loves to play with fire which is why he carries 2 lighters in his pocket. He plays with them every night for warmth, fun, light, a sense of peace and longing to search the truth as to why Team Plasma had done what they had done. He always asks himself questions relating to Team Plasma during the night when balls of fire a.k.a stars are all aglow. James is also friendly and gets along with practically everyone. He is also flirty and easily gets angry when someone does something bad to him. He is sometimes stubborn and never ever listens to adults and that’s the truth. He also questions people’s motives and loves to seek out the truth of any person.

History: James was born in Castelia City, a grim and dull city where his father worked as a defense attorney while his mother was a treasure hunter. He grew up being taught by his father and mother to seek the truth and to never give up. He was given good education and was fairly good at school. On his 10th birthday, James received a Poke-Gear from his aunt in Johto (who decided to work there to earn extra cash) and from his parents, a Pokemon called Golett that his mother caught during a visit to Dragonspiral Tower. He befriended his Golett quickly afterwards. 2 years later James was forced to release Ttelog from his Pokeball and so he sadly released Ttelog to the wild. After the events of Ttelog's release, James had asked himself, why did Team Plasma made us do these things and lots of other questions. This made him determined to know the truth as to why Team Plasma had done these things and so created a secret and small vendetta against them. 10 years later after finally moving out of his parents' house, while on the way to his new home in Nimbasa City, he found his Ttelog sad and badly injured and so James rushed him to a hospital. He then was questioned by Team Plasma after Ttelog was treated upon. James lied about the Pokemon saying that it wasn’t his and so left the hospital with his Ttelog (ordering him to throw him back to someplace) without getting arrested though he gets frequent nightmares about this lie (and wishes that one day he might tell the truth when Team Plasma’s reign of terror is over). James secretly hid his beloved Pokemon in his new house’s basement. One day, he received a letter and a package from some dude called Tao. There he found burnt Charcoal and what seemed to be a pendant with a ying-yang design with only the white part shining brightly and a letter that he started reading.

Other: A pyromaniac who is truthful and loves to seek out the truth but is clueless as to where Hilda's whereabouts are.

Pokemon:

Species: Golett

Gender: Male

Nickname: Ttelog (tuh-te-log)

Personality: Ttelog is a really fun Pokemon but sometimes does nothing but stands up, freezes motionlessly and ponders on something (like battle strategies or whatnot). He likes to play and run around but is quite slow. He can be quite defensive and can defend his friend a.k.a trainer a.k.a James from any attack. When in battle, he is actually a very good battler and can execute his strategies perfectly. The only thing keeping him back from defeating a Pokemon with one hit is his somewhat weak-like power (like Shadow Punch is 60 but minus 10 which makes it 50).

Other: He was given as a gift from James’s mom. His move sets are Shadow Punch, Magnitude, Iron Defense and Night Shade (if that's allowed).

Reshiram
Gender: Female
Personality: Reshiram sees truth as beauty and beauty as truth. A falsehood will ruin anything. As such, she prefers beautiful things and honest people. She has a strong moral core, but truth is absolute; convincing her that a lie might be necessary is a tough task. She is patient, friendly, and hard-working. However, she can tell a lie the moment it is told, and will act coolly towards those who tell one. She is loyal to her linked partner and her twin Zekrom, but when disagreements arise, she will fiercely defend the truth.

Description: Cynthia is a tall, and widowy looking young woman of about 6’ with slightly tanned skin from all the time she spends outside. There’s a small spatter of freckles across her high cheekbones and slightly rounded nose. She has light electric blue eyes, which seem to carry a very hostile expression whenever she sees anyone from Team Plasma. Her light blonde hair was once incredibly long, but she recently had it cut short in a pixie cut, with light blue and black streaks in it. She will often have a scarf like bandana in her hair, which joins up at the back with blue beads and flows down further, studded with more beads. The pattern on the bandana is a strangely abstract floral pattern, in black and blue (which seems to be her signature colours). She has some faint burn marks along her right side of her waist, but this goes unnoticed most of the time because of clothes.

She wears a black and white dress, with blue lines across the top and the bottom. These lines occur along the bottom and over her chest. The dress is mainly black, with a thick white stripe going down each side. Over this she wears a short white jacket with long sleeves, with a blue stripe on the ends. Also on the sleeves, there are two sets of three thin black stripes, one close to the top, one further down, on each side. The buttons are black, and one on the bottom has ‘fallen’ off recently. Under her dress, she wears black jeans with strange white symbols running down the sides. They are of a similar design to those on her dress, slightly resembling the yellow patterns found on the Pokemon Rayquaza. Her boots are black with blue laces.

In actual fact, the missing button on her jackets left side was torn off by herself when she was given and accepted the pendant of Zekrom; a yin yang symbol, with bright black parts, and dull white parts. The pendant was on a chain, which Cynthia has attached to her jacket with a hook, so it’s sitting there as if it’s the button.

Personality: Cynthia is an incredibly focused young woman, ready to give everything to whatever goal she decides to set for herself, and often will think of nothing else until she’s satisfied that her goal is completed. Often, until she completes her goal, she’ll be very hard on herself, convinced that the longer it takes for her to complete this task, the worse a job she’s done at it.

She is one of those people who – in her mind – dreams of the lion playing with the lamb. A world where everyone is equal and can be accepted for who they are inside. But she believes that a chance at this perfect, idealistic world was taken away from her and from everyone when Team Plasma took over, and she was forced to part with her Pokemon. She believes that without Pokemon, the human race is nothing, and Ghetsis segregating the two races has stopped the human race from advancing and learning from Pokemon and nature. This belief comes from her childhood dream of becoming a Pokemon Ranger in Fiore.

Towards other people, she can seem like a friendly, if rather blunt, young woman, who is willing to accept people for what they are, regardless of race, gender, religion or sexuality. She’s a bit shy when it comes to romance, secretly being afraid that they’ll turn out to be a cruel person, who will leave her in tears and pain like her first crush. However, if the person in question likes Team Plasma, to any degree at all (they just admire them, help them or are a member), then she will act as if they are the lowest of the low, and her eyes burn with hatred whenever they set eyes on anyone like that. In her heart, she knows that the grudge she holds against Team Plasma is wrong, but she cannot get over her own nature; ideals over the truth.

History: Cynthia was born in Black City, the eldest child of three girls. Her father was a businessman, and her mother worked with computer programming. In the huge, dark city, which felt like a cage to Cynthia, she quickly came to hate the city, wanting to move to the nearby White Forest. She would often try to convince her parents to move there, but their jobs were too important to them, and so she remain in her concrete hell, and long for the stars and the open forest.

Her uncle helped fuel this obsession with the outdoors. He was from Oblivia, and worked as a Pokemon Ranger. While the two of them didn’t see each other very often, they would send emails to each other when possible, with Cynthia’s uncle telling her all about the outdoors and the Pokemon that inhabited it. She deeply envied her uncle for the wild and exciting life he lead, which led her to decide that when she grew up, she wanted to be a ranger.

When she was 13 (her other sisters were both 12 and 7 respectively), Cynthia fell in love with one of the boys who’d recently been transferred to Black City from Fortree City. His name was Aden, and there was something about him that Cynthia found irresistible. Was it the fact that he’d grown up in a city of trees being free to learn about Pokemon through first hand experience, a right that she’d been denied, or was it his roguish wit, or his cheeky smile? She wasn’t entirely certain. She had the courage to go up to him and talk to him, ‘flirting’ slightly with him. He seemed to react well to this, and one day she decided to go ask him out, after consulting her 12 year old sister beforehand. As she walked around the corner to go and ask him, she came across that same sister kissing him. Her sister saw her horrified look, and gave her a demonic grin before Aden saw Cynthia, and told her that he’d only talked to her to he could talk to her sister. Deeply upset and angry at her sister and Aden, she turned and fled out of the city, into the wilderness which she was certain was only filled with good. However, Cynthia quickly found out that she was so very very wrong.

The misty route was incredibly eerie at night, with many Pokemon shuffling about, scaring the young girl half to death. She started to deeply regret coming out here, and broke down into tears. The sounds she made startled an Emboar, which accidently set fire to the trees near where Cynthia had curled up in. In a panic, she ran away, screaming and the poor Emboar (who later told his friends that he swore that there was a demon haunting him) breathed a huge flamethrower, catching Cynthia’s clothes and setting her on fire. The local ranger had seen the blaze and quickly put it out, and rushed her to hospital. She suffered minor burns on her side, and trauma over what had happened. To this day, she has been terrified of fire.

Her uncle was concerned for her, and flew over from Oblivia to see her. She tearfully told him that she hated Aden and her sister for what they’d done to her mentally, and was scared of going back out into the world. The words he told her that night would be ones that would stay with her for the rest of her life: “Do not hate others for what they are, as they cannot change their nature. Learn to accept everyone.” To help her feel better, he gave her a Luxray, which she affectionately named Glen. The two of them got along well, and Glen helped her overcome her fear of going back into the forest, but he couldn’t cure her fear of fire.

A year later, Team Plasma took over and forced Cynthia to release Glen, much to her horror. She pleaded with them to let her keep him, but as he was a powerful Pokemon, she had no choice but to release him, vowing silently to hate Team Plasma for what they had torn from her.

Ten years on, Cynthia received a curious letter from a man named Tao, along with a yin/yang pendant and a Razor Fang. It said that she had the chance to be able to right the wrongs of the past and bring about her ideal world, something which she’d wanted to do ever since she parted with Glen. After a bit of hesitation, she wrote a letter back to Tao saying that she was happy to accept her role, and willing to try her hardest to rid Unova of this ‘menace’.

Other: Is terrified of fire.

Pokemon:

Nekao (Zoura)
Gender: Male
Personality: A quiet and silent, Nekao isn't one to make jokes or be funny about anything. He is highly curious however, expecially of things that are man made because he's never come across them in his life. He enjoys adventure and travelling, so when he was younger he travelled a lot through Unova, away from his home pack in Lostlorn Forest. He doesn't mind a bit of a battle at all, and takes pride in his Illlision ability, which he uses to confuse his opponents. To stay with Cynthia when she's in human cities, he uses illision to make himself look like a small black haired boy.

Tigerlily (Lilligant)
Gender: Female
Personality: Tigerlily likes to think of herself as the mothering type of Pokemon, and is always willing to offer a helping hand to those around her by releasing calming scents from the flower on her head. She is a bit torn about fighting though, as it goes against her instincts, and will often hesitate in battle. The only exception to this is when there is clearly a victim, and clearly an attacker - in this case, she will defend the victim with all of her strength. She is actually rather pessimistic, but she tries not to let others be and instead forces herself to smile when things are going wrong to try and calm others.
Other: She used to belong to a Plasma grunt, and was taught many high level moves earlier than she should have. This resulted in such moves being very weak, and exhausing to her.

Zekrom
Gender: Male
Personality: Zekrom loves philosophy and debate, seeking to find out what could be the best of all possible worlds. While some people might be pessimistic about it, Zekrom is highly optimistic. He will defend someone trying to implement the ideal into reality. He is patient, friendly, and hard-working. He is loyal to his chosen partner and his twin Reshiram. But sometimes, there comes up the idea that full honesty is not the wisest course, and a vicious argument between them will begin.

***

I swear I did not just chuck the fear of fire thing in because James is a pyromaniac. Oh, and a question: With the powers that you mentioned for Reshiram and Zekrom being influenced by how well the linked guys get along, is it the dragons who will either get deadly *insert element here* and dragon magic if they don't get along, or the humans? It's probably really obvious, but I just don't see it...

*Gasp* He's back!
Couple 'o things:

1) If Victiny's reservation is expired, I'll take it pretty please?
2) If 1) doesn't apply can I make a character who doesn't have a Legendary link?

@robincool98: It will be Hilda then.

I generally don't bother with requiring movesets; I like a sense of realism, that a young Pokemon won't know powerful moves, but then I like following the Rule of Cool too. But Ttelog is old enough to get away with that. James is indeed addicted to fire, and he'll get a Pokemon that is powerful enough to shoot blue flames, nice.

My inner critical writer says that the History should be broken into around three paragraphs, but eh. Accepted, although I find it paradoxical that he feels no sense of shame but is too afraid to show his intelligence.

@Aura Wolfe: Cynthia seems like Cynthia. *laughs* But she's not Cynthia, so okay. I really like the sign-up, Accepted.

To answer your question, it depends on how well Cynthia and James get along. It relates to the in-game myth about how the two dragons were once one, working with a pair of twins to create the Unova region. But then the twins started arguing, the one dragon split into two, and the whole region got nearly demolished in blasts of fire and electricity. Then they got along again and things were remade.

So yeah, if you two argue, there goes the whole region! But you'd certainly be powerful enough to take out Ghetsis then.

@Extreme Floatzel: That works out now; Accepted.

@deltakurumiru4 and zandgaia: Yeah, sorry, there's only thirteen legendary Pokemon in Unova. And I won't allow for a non-linked character. Although I did consider that if there was enough extra interest, I might work in extra legendaries. You'd be restricted to what I chose to bring in, though. I wanted to shake things up and make people chose Pokemon they wouldn't normally work with (because in legendary Pokemon games, you see the same ones chosen first over and over). And if I do this, I have to increase the power of the Team Plasma side to keep a credible threat.

So yeah, if you'd really like in, get someone else (or multiple someones) interested and I'll figure out what to do from there.

Shockingly Lovely
Name: Valen
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Link: Cobalion - Female
Item: Quick Claw

Description: Valen is about 6'3". He is somewhat thin but his legs are muscular around the calves. He has white hair that is somewhat spiky. His emerald green eyes appear to be in a permanent anger expression, and his pupils are thin, similar to a cat's. He also often wears black splotches of paint on his face, perhaps to blend into the surroundings.

As far as clothing, Valen wears a lot of black. His short-sleeved shirt is pure black, but he does have a pocket on the right side of his front, which houses his pendant with a chain attached. His jeans are kept a little loose and have quite an amount of pockets, which he keeps various tools and items for good measure. He also has a pair of black sneakers that are kept tidy compared to the rest of his clothing, but the soles of the shoes have been smoothed out from wear and tear despite what the rest of the shoe looks like. He also wears a pair of white gloves that seem to make sure that he does not leave behind any fingerprints, among other things.

Personality: Valen is someone who prefers to be alone. He does not like socializing and he especially detests a large group of people. He does have a soft spot for various pokemon and his family back in Kanto. Due to his soloistic personality, he is also somewhat silent, only speaking when need be. He does, however, have a bit of an ego on him, he often looks at himself as one of the least flawed people and as such looks down on others who do not act like him, to the point that he believes that a lot of people are helpless and need him to help them. Another aspect of his is that despite this, he is respectful to his elders and does not show this bias toward them. He is also pretty smart, in both understanding and application of knowledge, but he is not one who applies said knowledge very often.

Valen is also courageous. He is willing to fight anyone who challenges him or anyone who tries to bully others. He also prefers being stealthy, not because he's a coward, but because he does not like to waste his time or breath on others for too long. Valen is also a bit of an obsessive compulsive person. He has to do the job the right way or it will not be right at all to him, even if it accomplishes the goal. Another similar remark is that he shows signs of impatience, mostly because he likes the rush of adrenaline as well as the excitement of a good fight. He can also be considered not a good listener because of both his impatience and slight pride.

History: Valen grew up in Viridian City of Kanto with his step-father, his mother, and his half-sister. He grew up as a loner at school, always viewing others as beneath him and his above-average intellect. However, as he was traveling to school, what had seemed to be a low-class thug with a Grimer had joined in the wonderful world of learning and threatened the life of the students. When the teacher fought back, she got knocked out by the thug. Valen saw this act as the unconscious teacher kept getting hit by the thug; soon he found his opportunity to sneak around him. He took the man's pokeball from his belt and caused the Grimer to be recalled. The thug saw this and tried to hit the kid, but, instinctively, Valen dodged the man's strike. Valen saw his chance to at least stall for time and kicked the man where the sun don't shine (but the camera cut back right before connection of course). With the man temporarily stunned the children saw their opportunity to run, including Valen. Naturally, the police arrived and took the man to court, where he was found, NOT GUILTY despite all the witness testimonies and whatnot. (Let's just say the guy had almost a good a lawyer as O.J.'s)

Everyone involved knew something was wrong. Valen decided to dedicate some of his time to investigate. Quite a few years had passed as Valen got involved with a big time gang, which the thug was a part of. It seemed as though they had quite the connections with law-enforcement, perhaps a sort of conspiracy. Either way, this caused him to feel the need to take action. He became a vigilante with a Primeape and a Beedrill, both of which were caught near Viridian that would gather evidence and would often physically fight these people, but he could never figure out who the main boss was. Eventually, when he was 25 years of age, he got a tip that the boss would meet up in Vermilion City in the ship docks. So following his tip, he traveled to Vermillion City. After making it to the shipping docks there were several containers, most of which were either imports or exports to the other regions. He found a sole suspicious-looking container that was marked for Unova, which in itself was weird due to Unova's lines were going to be cut very soon. The young man peered inside to find a group of people, or so he thought. When he entered in to attack and obtain the information he needed, he found out that the 'people' were mannequins, and Valen was sealed inside, with no way out. Next stop: Unova.

Unova was about 6 months in Ghetsis's rule at this time. With this last arrival of medical goods (and the container Valen was inside), Ghetsis had officially blocked all transportation out (or in if you count the other regions' case), which stranded Valen in Unova. As time turned, Team Plasma had bullied others into releasing their pokemon. This was something that Valen would not stand for, so he himself would switch his vigilantism from that criminal gang in Kanto to Team Plasma in Unova. He would attack the grunts with his Primeape and Beedrill, but eventually he was overpowered by one of the Grunts. His Pokemon were released and Valen was incarcerated for having both an illegally captured Pokemon and for being an illegal alien. However, he would not let this stand at all, so when he was given the opportunity, he escaped prison, but now without his Pokemon. He did not stop his acts, but they have gotten harder and he needed to be smarter due to him not having any back-up, but he was lucky enough not to get caught again for the 10 years he was in Unova.

Eventually, Valen obtained some sort of letter and package given to him by a messenger while he was in White Forest. The sender, Tao, seemed to be recruiting others like Valen, ones who would help the fight against Team Plasma, and since his Pokemon were taken, plus Team Plasma was getting trickier, he decided to accept the challenge as well as the help.

Other: I might get him to meet up with his old pokemon later in the RP if that's okay with you, Ysa.
