do scratches on a ds matter?

Do scratches on the ds touch screen mater? I am thinking of buying a used ds with scratches on the touch screen but I dont know if it will really matter or not. The game I plan to get is animal crossing wild world. Do scratches on the touch screen cause lots of problems?

Have you seen me?
All scratches on it and you can't see. Wait, are the scratches on the outside or the inside? Outside=you can fell them. Inside=you can't feel them.

No, not really. Unless you find appearence to be of great importance. :/ Yet even so, while playing, you can't see them.

The thumb strap tends to do most of the damage. If you don't push the stylus down too hard it should be fine

Please, please, refer to the as "battle scars". I guess Nintendo wouldn't have made a touch screen if you couldn't use it after half a year, so... I guess not. Unless the person slashed it with a knife. :D

your question was just answered like twice but anyway id have no idea,unless u plan to sell it in a few years when collectors are looking for them appearance is of great importance,so treat it like you would a holographic card.i say just wait bit extra to get new!

You can occasionally feel them if you run the stylus over them, but it doesn't affect gameplay too much

<-- Made of awesome.
I suggest getting screen protectors, to prevent future scratches.

And I have no idea why so many people manage to destroy their consoles. I've heard stories of holes in screens, etc. It just really baffles me. o_o;

Don't get screen protectors unless they're official from Nintendo.

Is there a guarantee?

I reccommend saving for a brand new DS, like my Electric Blue one. :)

Yes - they can actually affect your gameplay. My stylus kinda gets dragged to wherever the scratch is on the Touch Screen when I'm playing. It doesnt even have to be deep for your stylus to follow the path of the scratch -_-;

You should save up for a Nintendo DS Lite.

Okay I am bidding on one that looks like it does not have any scratches. It says it is a good condition one. I can't save up and such as I dont get enough a month. to save up now for a normal new would take two more months and thats not including this one.
I am bidding and if I dont win the auction I will continue a search for another good condition ds.

Scratches effect the layer of the touch screen. After using my PocketPC with no screen protectors, the touch screen does not respond correctly and I had to get it replaced (it's still under warrenty back then.).

I suggest you take care of your touchscreen. Use screen protectors for extra protection.

Okay I will see about getting a screen protector. Will screen protectors help if there are light scratches?

I cant answer that but id say no,like its not the little scrathes that count...unless they add up to 70 XD

either way why is it necessary for people to put the stylus so hard to the screen it cause it to obliderate..?anyway where can i get a screen protector and how much they cost???
