Do you agree with: profanity and pornography in games?

No to both. I'll be terse about it.

    What's wrong with porn.
  3. They're both unnecessary, but I'm fine with a little swearing here and there. Too much swearing is ridiculous and stupid.

Profanity is the ****. It will always be in video games. Pornography is touchy. Mostly in M rated and above games

It just occurred to me, that there are people who have a much broader definition of what is porn. Like, people might (and as crazy as this seems in my head, I can't imagine it would make any more sense in text) actually think that kissing is porn ... and kissing between animated characters, at that. And, I'm not talking about the graphic, "slimy worm wrestling" kinds of kisses, either. I'm talking about the kind where the Beast turns into a man, in the Beauty and the Beast. You know, innocent and pure ... there are people who would see that and call it porn.

With that in mind, I can't even begin to imagine what kind of person would see the kissing scene in Final Fantasy IV between Cecil and Rosa ... and think it's porn ... and yet, I'm willing to bet there are those who do.

There is that! I remember being in middle school and toting around some of my old strategy guide to get a look at the artwork (back in those days I drew a lot; I drew poorly, but I did it). Some of the kids would flip out at the obvious cleavage in some characters' outfits, e.g. in the Final Fantasy series.

So, yeah, some younger audiences are more sensitive to certain things.

I don't mind it. When you think about it, some games NEED it, because it gives a more in-depth feel. Think about Call of Duty with no "f" words. HIGHLY unrealistic. If there were bullets spraying at you from every direction, I would say a couple of "f" bombs myself. Pornography can bring two characters closer together.

What I hate is when people swear for no reason at all, just to I guess "Make it sound better" Like this: "Dude, that *bleep* *bleep* is *bleeping* bleep* you hear me? *bleep*! *Bleep* Yea!"
Anyways, on topic... I think pornography is just a selling tool to get guys hooked on a game. I think any guy who buys a game with even one of the reasons being the "hot chicks" is no better than a guy who buys playboy for the "articles".
Keep porno outta my games, I want more action (And not that kind of action). But seriously, I see no reason for it besides getting stupid consumers to buy it. (Harsh I know, u mad?)

When it comes to swearing, just have intelligent use of it. When I hear it every other word or used out of context just to add I guess, "Shock factor" to the characters words, it just makes the game and its designers look stupid.

Pretty much everything. But why do you think that's even an argument? Maybe answer the question instead of asking a meaningless question? This is basically just the "no u!" of debate right here.

So, go on. Answer the question. If you can.

I'm willing to bet that he's the super sensative hyper evangalist "Kissing in public is pornograpic!" kind of person.

I think swearing in video games is okay, as long as its not overdone, because then it just sounds stupid. And Porn? I don't think kissing and a hug here and there is porn, as long as no one ends up naked in the process. It adds more emotional in-depth to the characters, kissing and hugging I mean.

In all honesty, it mainly depends on the age of the audiance playing the game.

Probably, if there's no immediate backing-it-up. I mean, I know I should leave well enough alone in this case, but I can't help it. It's like someone is saying that we can't have free speech, and I kinda value that a lot. Not that pornographic games interest me, but I think that it should be perfectly acceptable for them to exist. With the appropriate rating, obviously.

And any intelligent and rational person would agree. But you're doing dealing with an irrational person. Logic is wasted on them.

Ah well, if he wants to start a mess with ya, I got nothing better to do today than watch One Piece and play Pokemon.

I don't recall any f bombs since shepard's rant at the end of MW2, but Makarov is called "the bastard" more than he's called Makarov in MW3

If it is within creative bounds and context then yes. If it is for no reason, then no.

I wasn't bothered by Aphrodite's nakedness, kinda made sense. (In God Of War III)

I can't think of something that is wrong with it, so everything about it is not wrong. This is also the reason why I don't see why it should be forbidden.

Or am I'm expressing myself "evil / bad" or are you who are not understanding me.

The people of today use words for everything, to express happiness, anger, sadness, and finally ... ALL! It turned out to culture, but culture too bad, because the words are being used as normal words and it may offend a deeply (though that even a "hey chubby" may deeply offend someone).

Unreasonably short: I just think that the words should be used rarely, so the game is "cleaner" for the most part, the words are used in an exaggerated manner, unnecessary and inappropriate, and that makes the game too "polluted" , not to mention that it is not necessary that a game has swearing to stay closer to reality.

I hope I have said it right this time ...

    Then comment on pornography.

Off-topic: Mariya Shidou, your avatar is very pretty, but not change it just because I said so ...

GTA San Andreas kind of had. I mean, you needed a mod to see it but Rockstar put it in the game code, only to hide it because it'd be controversial. But this is one of the cases where you'd actually have to search for porn to find porn.

In a T+ game, I'm fine with cussing. The only words I have a problem with are gay and similar words being used as insults.

For porn, it's a different story. These E games really shouldn't have ANY cleavage being shown. E10 can have a little poking from the shirt, but no skin. I still have problems with cleavage in T+ games but then again I have problems with them on TV, art, and real life so it's not different. Also, males should be wearing at least some underwear.
