Do you agree with: profanity and pornography in games?

What's wrong with porn.

In my opinion, nothing at all. It's human nature to want to look at it. It's better than going out and raping someone to relieve sexual tension instead. If some people don't want to look at it then fine. If some people do, then go ahead and look at it. That's how I see it.

Anyways, I think porn and swearing are fine in video games, and like others have said, as long as they have the appropriate rating (which is usually 18+). I don't even care about the amount of cussing or porn in a game. (although, i myself wouldn't look at anything to extreme.) But if I had it my way, cussing would only be used when needed (ex: someone got in a fight) and sex would only be used for extremely romantic, loving scenes. (if the story needed it. which, in most cases, it usually wouldn't.)

And I can think of numerous visual novels that utilize both language and sex but are extremely successful. Just take a look at the classic "AIR". It uses sex and profanity but has a gorgeous and deep story line. In fact, the sex isn't even the main feature!

Porn and profanity: Both are natural human things. If someone doesn't like it, then they shouldn't look at it. Simple.

Or am I'm expressing myself "evil / bad" or are you who are not understanding me.

The people of today use words for everything, to express happiness, anger, sadness, and finally ... ALL! It turned out to culture, but culture too bad, because the words are being used as normal words and it may offend a deeply (though that even a "hey chubby" may deeply offend someone).

Unreasonably short: I just think that the words should be used rarely, so the game is "cleaner" for the most part, the words are used in an exaggerated manner, unnecessary and inappropriate, and that makes the game too "polluted" , not to mention that it is not necessary that a game has swearing to stay closer to reality.

I hope I have said it right this time ...

Then comment on pornography.

Look I don't care much for games that add adult material just for the sake of having them. But again and for the last time, you could just as easily look at the rating to avoid games with profanity and pornographic contents.

And don't tell me that it takes time. If you have time to post your criticism on a forum, you could easily use that time to look at the rating, or ask around for games lacking in said content.

Off-topic: Mariya Shidou, your avatar is very pretty, but not change it just because I said so ...

* I predict people saying I'm in love with her .*

Switch: Embarrassed = ON.

Mariya is a dude. +_+

Yes as long as long as it tells you on the front, and the game is rated appropriately. It's not the devs fault children these days have idiotic parents.

In her profile, saying "Female."
Switch: Confused = ON

Coulda sworn I changed that. But it would be appropriate.

I wish more folks would come out and say this, instead of just screaming about how PORN AND SWEARING ARE EVIL AND I'M WRITE AND YOU'RE WRONG AND AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Doesn't everyone:)
Seriously though porn is all right as long as it has the proper rating.

Entirely depends on the game.

If you're playing GTA, then yeah, expect a lot of swearing and hookers. And gunning down hookers. It's not like most 18+ games ever try and hide that kind of content...if anything, the amount of guns and boobies is used to promote the game.

Depends on how you use it. I mean, all of the "inappropriate" stuff in games is a part of life like anything else, yet you can't just put it all over the place. Like Final Fantasy games, they're still beloved, and people just look at the taboo stuff in it that happens only every now and then, and it's just part of the game, and not as something the game goes crazy about.

I have nothing against porn and profanity, but that not withstanding, I also believe that if you put the stuff in a game, rate it as such, but not overly so.

The rating is what matters. Obviously a sex scene is M or higher content, and swearing is E10+ or higher depending on the words used and the amount. I remember Shadow the Hedgehog always saying "damn" when he died and "hell" plenty of times in his eponymous game rated E10+. It seemed appropriate.

I have to admit that "commented" the wrong way ...
What I meant is that pornography in games is very annoying to see it: Most games have against pornography and this is totally unnecessary, because a is in real life, we were naked when dating? NO! So why put pornography simulator games against?

Few people who read the age of the games. I for one, have seen little children 5 years of playing GTA. I bet u the characters of this game were inspired by real people, and accept that kind of girl appears naked in approximately 99/90% of a game without knowing that little kids will play it?

Its up to the parents to decide if they want their kids to see material as in GTA. Its not the game's fault. If the parents dont want their children to play it then its up to THEM.

The ESRP rating system exists for a reason

As long as the ESRB labels the game as "Adults Only" and encourage the salesmen to keep it away from kids. Porn isn't a bad thing, but it's a taboo. I'm not so sure with Profanity, as I don't like cursing everybody I have near me, but if they want to develop games using foul language, I don't mind.

That's one of the reasons that are involved in the behaviour of our children. If adults were more responsible raising their own creatures, little kids wouldn't be raping each other, or they would have a better childhood.

Man, you'd be surprised as to how much of a relief cursing and reading gentlemen's literature is to me, but I'm entirely against the idea of exposing the lil' kiddies to such material.
The length of time a child can stay "innocent" is shortening day by day, I thought society would be much more intelligent than that.

Like some people said, ratings exist for a reason. Also, don't like a game? Don't play it. Besides, movies and TV shows that are rated R are worse than games like GTA because it's real peoplein the movies and in the games it's cartoonish characters. Besides, in some M rated games the nudity is pixelated. Oh, and a 5 year old playing M rated games is the parent's fault, like some people said.

Honestly, I realy don't care
As long as the game is good, It could even be of a black guy killing white people just for the sake of racism (I'm white).
I couldn't care less as long as the game could entertain me as much as anyother good game.
I'm an adult, I can distinguish reality from fiction. Those issues don't affect me.

i just hate games with and type of porn in them! Good thing Nintendo has a policy saying that they don't produce or sell games with Pornography in them.

and iCakeify, Profanity means high levels of swearing.

Not a fan myself, but not against them because if they have the appropriate rating the only ones that can make a mistake are the families.
