Do you ever play without your starter?

I always play throughout the game without my starters. They usually bore me quite quickly. I mostly go for the mid/low tiers for fun.

Usually I want so many different Pokemon in my party that I find it hard to keep my starter. Usually I'll take them through the first couple of towns until I've got a good 2 or 3 to work my way up with. I've just done that with my SoulSilver again. And honestly that kind of party (one without a starter) tends to be the better alternative.

I will sometimes play with my starters but sometimes i will replace them with stronger better pokemon

I always use my starters for completing a game and will usually replace them afterwards but there are some I would keep e.g. Sceptile, Swampert, Charizard, Serperior and Typholsion.

Only almost all the time. Of course I'm gonna be using it for the first few gyms, but after that I rarely even use it. Unless it's Blastoise or Torterra in which case I'll pretty much stick to it for the rest of my game.

I'd never deposit my starter, they are some of my favorite pokemon in the games.
