No. I hate him. He is waaaay too uber. HE'S WON EVERY FREAKIN GYM BADGE HE'S EVER HAD TO. And the Frontier Badges, too. His teams are too uber and has anybody noticed that 00ber-chu has almost never lost in a battle. LET TEAM ROCKET GET THE THING. I hope that the D/P girl will replace Ash. I'd even like it better if Jackson replaced him. Tis how much I despise the uber moron.

Ash hasn't won the first match of every gym match, nor every fronteir match. So when he loses, guess what he does? TRIES AGAIN! Wow what a concept. And Pikachu has stepped down as of late in favor of a more balanced team. Someone has obviously only watched the first 20 episodes

Ash has recently upgraded from being one of my least favorite anime characters of all time to being fairly decent. Our views on Pokemon are just far too different and I can't really relate to him. Truth be told, I can't relate to most of the Pokemon characters.

I did not say that he won the first time on every match. I just said that he's won them all one time or another.
Maybe, but Pikachu still is uber, along with his other Pokemon.
I have seen every episode of Pokemon released in the US.

And of course Pikachu would be "uber" in your eyes because it has alot of experience battling. Though, it still wouldn't be "uber" because it doesn't pull some damn move that's not in it's natural movepool out of it's a** the minute Satoshi got it, it trains for it (Iron Tail). And it doesn't take down regular enemies in less than 5 minutes (Rocket-Dan does not count).

Haruka's Zenigame, on the other hand, was a uber and a deus ex the first time around. :|

That's mainly why I don't like him. I'm not afraid to say that it took me 2 months to defeat Sabrina, when it took Ash, what, 2 days? It would be entertaining if he never got a badge; a nice twist, though it would probably anger many people...not me, of course.
I have nothing against Pikachu, actually. In fact, I like Pikachus. Its just that I don't like Ash's Pikachu. I like Richie's Pikachu, but not Ash's, it's beginning to annoy me. It would also be interesting if the Rockets actually got their grubby hands on Pikachu. That would be quite amusing, seeing what Ash would do.

You playing a game =/= watching a show. Why do people think that if they can't beat a Gym leader in the game that Ash should have trouble with him too? Just because you suck or you need to raise your Pokemon to higher levels doesn't mean the writers have to have Ash lose again and again and again.

And yeah, the plot of the show would never advance if he didn't win his badges. Seriously, its been nearly 10 years! We've seen him go through four regions, are there still people here who cannot comprehend how this show works after 400 episodes?

If the D/P girl does take his place, eventually you'll hate her too because the writers will have her go down the same road Ash did. Winning gym battles, going onto the pokemon league, etc. I'm also pretty sure team rocket has gotten their grubby hands on pikachu, just for a short time though. BTW he has to win badges. His goal is to become a master and he can't do that if he just quit on a gym battle. He needs those badges to get to the pokemon league and beat it!

The anime WAS based on the show, do you not know? :\ That is why they should make him suffer as us.
I guess I did like him when Kanto was there, but now...I just don't know what happened.

Blue, he's never beaten the League, and I do not believe that he ever will--not for some time. As for the D/P girl, well, if she wouldn't have an annoying voice, I'd be fine with her until about the 3rd season.

And oh hoho, lets not forget that this anime follows where the current games take place, if he didn't win all the Gym Badges and not compete in the league from that particular region then he wouldn't advance to the next region where the next games take place, thus killing the advertisement.

Plus, it would be very stupid (for example) for Satoshi to win 5 Gym Badges, then quitting at the sixth one. Pretty pointless. :|
