Do You Like Negima?

Here you can post about Negima if you want to!

For people who don't know what Negima is about, it's about a ten year old magician who moves form England to Japan to teach a school full of girl who adore him.

I really like Negima, only at episode 15 for now though, but I'm going to catch up tomorrow because I really want to see episode 23! ( I hope I won't cry after what happens.. ).

People who really want to know what happens can click on the spoiler, if you think it 'spoils' the fun, don't !

The anime cut pretty much every part I thought was good in the manga.

In other words, I hated it so. Hopefully the newer OVA series is better.

Actually, I like it better than the manga. I'm not the fanservice type. (Allthough those parts of the manga were still amusing.) But Negima is one of three series that I am buying all the DVDs to.

I like Negima! I've already got Vol.1 and Vol.2 of DVDs. They pretty humorous. 31 girls (with the exception of Asuna) glomping at Negi. *wishes that 10-year-old boy were me!* >_<

The first episode was cool, but they didn't have vol. 1. I bought vol. 2 and was like... what the hell is going on..? This is dumb. So... I hate it.

Since you're not the fanservice type, you must hate the anime, since that's all it was with the action scenes of the manga, pretty much what made it decent, cut out.

-_- Oh come on.

Have you seen the fanservice in the manga? THAT fanservice. Those scenes were edited down to not be *quite* so bad, and to the point where I can watch it on my PSP in public without feeling nervous (Unlike if I was reading the manga).......what was the point that post anyway?

...ANYWAY, back to Negima!, I do actually like it. Well, I prefer the manga over anime because well.. I kinda spoiled myself on the anime, and it kinda confused/SUCKED imo. But then there is also the fact that I'm swooning over manga over anime nowadays. (Partially due to Chelc with FMoS.)

I do own all ten volumes of the manga, and STILL awaiting for eleven to fifteen in Kinokuniya bookstore... The Japanese bookstore, the one that is my dream store, lol. But for some reason, they haven't received any mail for the English versions of volumes eleven and above, but I always find 11-15 in Japanese. Unfortunately [for me] I can't read Japanese. ]:

Also, my sig (linked) can show that I am a fan of Negima! indeed. Or bishie thread, because [manga] Negi is my bishie.

Also, about the anime, I don't really like the graphics/artwork. It's not that it's terrible, compared to some other anime I don't really watch, but just.. not really for me. Some characters look older than the manga, and well, Negi looks different. I prefer the manga anywho.

I haven't seen the anime, but the Manga is prety good. I just wish my brother would let me read it without thinking I'm reading porn (he always comes in at the awkward parts...)

Well, since both of them have fanservice in them, as you yourself have said, you must hate both.

I never said I hated fanservice, just that it wasn't really my thing. Negima's fanservice is not as bad as, say, Tenjo Tenge, so it doesn't bug me as much.

But like Sternklar said, back to Negima! :p

I favour the manga over the anime. Greg Ayres as Negi Springfield is just plain irritating.

Michelle Ruff, Melissa Fahn, Kari Wahlgren, Stephanie Sheh, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Wendee Lee, Tara Platt, Bridget Hoffman, Lia Sargent, Dorothy Elias-Fahn, Sandy Fox, Julie Maddalena, Kim Mai Guest, Grey DeLisle, Tara Strong, Hedy Burress, Kath Soucie, Gwendolyne Yeo, and Jennifer Hale. Pick and choose among them. Any combination of them will do much better than Luci Christian, Monica Rial, and Laura Bailey.

Yes, I love the manga. But the anime was crap.

I might try watching the new one, but it probably still won't be as good as the manga.
