Do you make teams/movesets by the book?

If you mean by smogon, no. The only semi-legendary I've used is Dragonite, and I favor UUs with less conventional movesets. So kill me

I mean like, "oh on RMT a guy posted a good moveset for Remoraid so I will try that" Oh, I mean teams like a defenseve player like Eevee with baton pass and substitute and an offense, like tyranatar etc.

No. I make my own Movesets and spreads. I prefer to stay away from elitism, thank you very much. I just use that "book" seldomly, when I wanna use a Pokémon I've never used before. But even then...

Ditto except I always stay by my own movesets but I know which moves are better for which pokemon.

If going by the book means to use a moveset used by many, then no. Besides, the book doesn't give a lot of Contest Movesets. The only one I see that has is Serebii's, but no offense, those are lacking. I prefer to make up my out Contest movesets - for each Pokemon there are so many.
The only reason I get the book is for the Pokedex in the back and to double check I got everything, as in, items.

I see viable options and how they work, but create my own movesets based on decent options, combos and random things too. I am planning on training a Tentacruel, and I'm agonising what exactly to give it, without being boring.
