I sometimes play pokemon games after I beat it, but I tend to get bored with it. I mean there's nothing to do but keep training my pokemon and do shiny hunt.

Deppents on what version.
Like Crystal, I just beat it and start over.
But with Ruby I just try to think up challanges. Like I'm now trying to get my Smeargle from Colloseum to get every ribbon.
And with Emerald I still haven't beaten the Frontier, so I haven't beaten that game yet.

Usually I would just restart, but now I have so many rare pokemon and items that I would never restart unless I traded them all over. Also, I am now work on my Pokedex in each game. I never even bothered until last year. xD

yeah 'surf' thats what its like in my game, ive got so many pokemon and items that are precious to me. one time my friend went on my pokemon trading card game that was almost complete and started a new game without asking ): , i was really annoyed & angry at him. luckily i fixed a glitch in my ruby version and now i play that instead.

Ruby: pokedex at 383, gold shield accomplished
Sapphire: same as ruby
Fire Red: pokedex at 383, only for safari, ditto catching, and other miscellaneous
Leaf Green: same as Fire Red but still soft-resetting for a shiny mewtwo, moltres & articuno
Emerald: pokedex at 383, still working on battle frontier and any breeding needs

Only pokemon missing from pokedex are mew, celebi & deoxys of course. Once wifi is available, I hope someone will be willing to trade me a legitimate deoxys at least.

Sometimes, I mean, you don't buy them for just one play!

Of course I still play my ruby version. I still need to complete my Pokédex!
Ditto, though I'm on a Pokemon game fast until November 5th. So far, I have 335 Pokemon on my Pokedex.

I definitely play the pokemon games after i beat them. i mostly do it for nostalgic reasons (like the metal games), but i constantly replay r/s and emerald because of mirage island and trying to find shinys, as well as trying to get lots of my pokemon on level 100.

Always. Sometimes I might trade the Pokemon I can't get in FireRed over then restart. At least I don't need to trade any starters from Sapphire since I have them and all their evolved forms in my dex.

I usually do to make a different team, or do a different path through it. My first playthroughs are usually just to get the jist of the plot in most games, and the second time round i actually pay attention th stats and whatnot. But i guess Pokemon doesn't really have much of a plot to work out so XD

I Have one "Master version" (Fire Red) that I never restart. When I get bored of my other games after beating them, I simply trade all the good Pokemon over to Fire Red and start over again.
