Yeah,I also hate Froslass. As you said,it was uncreative and unnecessary,but also it's ability just sucks,and it's also just...useless. It was a pain in the butt to train it all the way to lvl.50.

It's called expanding the Pokedex.

Rather then create all new pokemon, it's much easier just to stick in new evos and pre-evos.

Both Dusknoir and Rhyperior are basically buffed up versions of their preevolutions, as they do the exact same thing but hitting slightly harder. That's what I'd call "unnecessary", even though both of them are pretty good. You know, what will happen if they ever decide to evolve Gyarados?

All pre-evolutions are useless, though.

Evolve Gyarados and slap a Solid Rock/Filter equivalent on as it's ability... Just make it bigger and more ornate, it seems to be a trend.

I understand that baby Pokémon are there for extra kid appeal, and to expand the Pokédex, but enough is enough... At least a Kangaskhan prevo can be condoned because we've seen baby Kangaskhan from day one, most of the others are unnecessary.

I think they could have done without any of the 1st gen evos that came out in 4th gen, especially Rhyperior (all they did was increase its stats by 10...).

I am also a firm believer that every single baby/pre-evo ever created is unnecessary.

Though I love Dusknoir's design, stats-wise he really didn't improve on Dusclops that much. A very small boost in defense stats and a reasonable boost in attack was really all he got. Rhyperior is much the same, just improving him a little without making any major changes.

Agreed! Also, Snow Cloak is the most useful ability save for Ice Body. ((Snow Cloak + Confuse Ray = ~40% chance of getting hit. May be wrong but I doubt it. Some super battler dude that does the Pokemon VGCs n' stuff told me.))

Some good evos and pre evos should go to these pokemon:

Tauros -> Minotauros

So Tauros should evolve but not Miltank?

Anyway... Tauros and Miltank should have a prevo where the male is brown and evolves into Tauros and the female is pink and evolves into Miltank... think Nidoran.
Volbeat should get a Fire/Bug evo and Illumise should get an Electric/Bug evo... both with Levitate. That way, they can be actual firefly/lightningbug.

I'm fairly certain that Budew was created so that you couldn't have a Pokemon with such massive special stats that early in the game.

I honestly don't see the point you're trying to make. All baby pokemon were introduced in an generation other than that of the original??

1. Needed more examples of Gender Evolution and the Dawn Stone needed more uses.
2. Needed more examples of Move Evolution and Tangela needed an evolution.
3. Porygon is supposed to be remniscient of computers, and is thus constantly updated.

I think gallade was extremely needed though. When you combine psychic and fighting you've got something special.

As for Jynx, that thing creeps me out, so an evo for it would be like a female sumo wrestler.

Rhyperior = very unneccessary. its just some attempted OMG SOOO GOOD ILL MAKE A TEAM OUT OF THEM type of pokemon, and we have tyranitar for that.

Ambipom I just don't like. It looks weird.

Tangela is weird because you can't see its face. Tangrowth is huge and makes me wonder what the CRAP is under those vines.

FROSLASS IS AWESOME. not only can it resist fighting, i think it has levitate so ground wont work either, but im not sure.

And dusknoir. How I hate it. It ruined the whole dusclops thing. Look at dusclops shiny form. Its red. Looks awesome. Look at dusknoirs. Barely changes. I HATE IT!!!

We need a baby form of skarmory so we can get it early in the game, maybe after the first gym or so? Its too good to resist, but by the time you can catch it, you need to train it a lot to get it in your team.

And lastly roserade was needed. Desperately.
