• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

I'd love to see a lapras evo and a primeape evo. But I can't think of ideas for lapras. A primeape evo has the possibility of a gorilla pokemon.

What I really don't understand is that when you catch a Kangaskan how come you also catch its child? That means that you are catching two Kangaskans in one Pokeball! It's just so stupid and should be fixed just like how Mantine doesn't come with a Remoraid biting onto it anymore.

That annoys me too. What is with that baby Kangaskhan? It should "grow up" or evolve into a bigger one. I could see them calling it Kangachild or something. lol.

I think the Tangela - Tangrowth evolution was nice but I wished Tangrowth looked different and I think it would've been cooler if they just left Magmar and Electabuzz alone. Not that their evo's didn't help, just that it was one of the Kanto orginals. And to me they had kind of a rivalry, Electabuzz hated the color red, Magmar is red, ect.

i think that froslass was really uncreative and unnecessary, and i think they should make baby forms of lapras and kangaskahn. what do you guys think. also, please do not bash me if you do not agree with me about froslass.

froslass? r u serious? it removes the weakness of fighting and its creative cuz its the only one with the ghost/ice type. but i do agree that lapras and kangaskahn should have preevos

Froslass is quite interesting. As much as I like Glalie, I must say that Froslass is alot better. It looks awesome and it's a great pokemon.

I'd love to see an Absol evolution, it might boost his speed to be somewhat decent.
I'm thinking a Lapras evolution would be pretty sweet; I occasionally sketch out evolution possibilities, Lapras being one of them

Um, the same goes for Exeggcute and Magneton and Dugrtio (sometimes, it depends which Pokedex entry your reading) and slowpoke and slowking and maybe also the Pokemon with more then one head if you defined them as two Pokemon merged together.

But Never Again...
They should've left Dusclops, Togetic, and Tangela alone...if not, atleast have made their evolutions a heck of a lot better looking...:\

I've been waiting on a baby Scyther [which I've named Scykle] and some form of a Heracross evo, whether it be pre or post...

As to Froslass, I originally thought it was stupid as D/P released, but now, I think it was an addition well put. :D

I would of prefered Frosslass as a standalone, as it relates barely to the others in it's evolutionary family. But then people would be complaining for a Froslass evo/prevo.

ok heres a thought maybe blissey was unneeded and also Duscnoir's stats but in the next gen all they would need to do is up their stats. and for kangaskhan its pretty obvious they should of came out withe a baby version because it always carries that "baby" in its pouch

now for evolutions: just because digimon has 6 evos does not mean that pokemom cant get another: starters new evo to compete with ubers through some hard arduous quest:

the dogs(arcanine ninetales houndoom etc.) should get another to compete with luxray
ok breloom needs another so does jynx and scyther(or scyther can get a baby form)

umm maybe another tyrouge evo also 2 more eevee's(gota complete the set of elements beside leafeon owns) and last but not least all legendaries should have their own sig, move with a new mewtwo form(just to add more ownage)

any baby pokemon are pointless in my opinion.

Any evolutions to the first gen standalones. Magmortor, Electivre, and the lickitung and tangala evolutions are the worst pokemon I have ever seen. and the Rhydon evo takes the cake. It just ruined a totally cool pokemon.

I would like to see a Sandslash evo. For a long time it was my favourite pokemon.

I had no idea you could ruin pokemon by making them actually effective in battle.

Not to be nitpicky, but Electivire and Magmortar aren't evos of standalone Pokemon... Elekid and Magby? Although, you did say all babies are pointless...

Do baby Pokemon that were in the same gen as their evos (Riolu, Togepi) count towards the pointlessness?

Note - giving a Pokemon a new evolution does NOT make that Pokemon more effective in battle, it creates a new Pokemon that is effective in battle.

Making a Pokemon more effective does not involve giving it a new evolution - it involves changing its moveset, its ability, maybe even its typing. A good example is Magneton. In RBY it was simply a slower Electrode. However, Gen II improved it by making it part Steel, and Gen III improved its moveset (since Spark was a Special move back then). These changes all made Magneton and more useful and widely used Pokemon. However, the introduction of Magnezone did not make Magneton more useful - it made it less useful, as Magnezone does everything Magneton does, but a bit better.

If Yanma had gotten its type changed to Bug/Dragon, or Piloswine had gotten Ice Beam through level-up, or Magneton had gotten Levitate, then these would all be examples of making those Pokemon more useful. The introduction of Yanmega, Mamoswine and Magnezone does nothing but create new Pokemon called Yanmega, Mamonswine and Magnezone that are more useful in battle than some older Pokemon that they are related to.

I think that a baby form of lapras and kangaskahn would be cool.

That isn't quite the point of this thread.

No evolutions are unnecessary. Electivire and Magmortar simply bring the Electabuzz and Magmar fans out of the UU and NU zone. Just because you think the Pokemon were cool or unique doesn't mean they were ruined by being given an evolution. Electivire and Magmortar simply provide what Magmar and Electabuzz could not, and as such, they are far more usable than they previously were.

Gamefreak doesn't care about your nostalgia. That is why they continued the Pokemon series instead of stopping it just because you grew up so that you could live in your happy little childhood past for the rest of your life. Gamefreak makes things innovative for new players instead of leaving things the way they were for older players, or the people who claim to "like Pokemon, but only the first generation".
