You mean if they should be animated? I think they should, just because it's cool. But I think they wont, because Nintendo wants to keep this feature for the third game of the 4th gen.

What kind of moving? Like a Pokemon like Charizard or something putting up his head and roaring or it just wiggiling or something? If it's the former than yeah that'd be sweet for the minor though I think it'd better be left out.

Animations? Yeah I want animations. It would be cool to have animations. Crystal and Emerald had animations, why not D/P?

If you mean animations, then yeah, but if they are animations like in Emerald, they shouldn't bother, as they were terrible. If animations like in Crystal, then of course, as they were winners.

Quoted for truth. If they're not going to do true animations, then DON'T BOTHER. Emerad's were horrendous.

But you know... after beating the Elite Four, I got tired of them in Crystal, too. Slowed the game way down. To me, yes it's important that the game looks wonderful, but at the same time, I'm not interested in battles putting me to sleep. Either things need spiced up, or leave animations out. The novelty runs out.

Now, blinking (or bobbing, in the case of flying/swimming Pokemon) is different. This would a a NICE touch. Subtle, not detractive.

I'd love to see Game Freak finally animate them, but it's not going to happen. We're talking about, what... 500 Pokemon? That's a hell of a lot. Eh, I guess we can hope. =/

Oh, and the Pokemon in Emerald were not exactly animated. They were pretty much static sprites being stretched.

Well Nintendo is taking their time with this, they better had. I'm with what other people though, they may save it for the 3rd game in the 4th Gen series.

Thats probably true

If they can make it so animations don't delay the commands, then by all means use them. But if it's like both previous times, then don't.

Either constant movement or no movement at all. No need...

NO. I think animating sprites is a waste of time and because many of them were really crappy. Moving it's tail back and forth or turning it's head back and forth does not add to the enjoyment of the gameplay. I think it gets annoying after awhile as well.

What I would like to see is MORE CINEMATICS! The ones in Emerald was pretty cool. (Part where Rayquaza flies down and Kyogre and Groudon are battliing)

The opening animations announcing themselves with a stupid dance? No thanks.

I would, however, like to see better attack animations. Not just sliding from side to side, but actually moving their paws/claws/whatever and running towards their opponent for a physical attack.

I've never really cared about prebattle animations...even in crystal, when they were supposedly their greatest, i never once though WOW. Animations or no, dp will rock.

I wouldn't mind, though if they do an option to turn them off would be good for when they start getting annoying.
