I use bug pokemon from time to time. My personal favorites are heracross, scyther-family, pinsir, spinarak-family, caterpie-family, and pineco-family.

Usually only earlier on in the games, like I used Butterfree against Misty on Yellow.

I did use a Dustox for quite a while on my first play-through on Emerald.

I like bug type. I use them in-game in all my games. As a side note, the guy who created Pokemon caught bugs as a kid which gave him the idea to create pokemon :) .

Almost always, I usually have Beedrill whenever possible....and sometimes Pinser...I also like using Venomoth, Volbeat, and Parasect.

I practiacally love bug pokemon, in fact, they are ONE of my MANY favorite types. I love them usually, because I find some cute, like pineco. I love the fact that they're strong but weak, like Heracross, and Forretress, 4x weaknesses, well they have at least one.

Used a Heracross set once, but I didn't like it much. Used a Yanmega for a long time. And I currently use a Scizor (like you didn't see that coming).

In my first ever game (red) I caught a weedle and caterpie, which I kept in my team ever since. I took them to the elite four challenge, in which beedrill was defeated, and the caterpie, I didn't bring into the fight, to prevent it from fainting.

After that, I played Sapphire, in which I seldom used any bug pokemon.

When I got Diamond, I caught a kricketot, which I evolved, and now use in my main team for Diamond.

So, yes, I do use bug pokemon. That aren't scyther.

Somewhat. I prefer scizor over the entire lot (no surprise, as someone said), but I also like yanmega and heracross.

The rest I rarely use because the lack of usefulness to me.

i have never used one in my main team. maybe i should try one

Looking back on my older save games, I do recall having at least one Bug type on my team. Though they are usually alot weaker than other kinds of Pokemon, at the beginning of the game they're pretty useful with the techniques they learn.

I still love to use Bug types. Even in my newer teams I like to make sure I have at least one of them. Prefferably not the more common ones (Kricketot, Wurmple), but I like the more exotic ones like Heracross, Vespiquen, Masquerain for their interesting movepools.
