I always have starters in my team and I even make sure I have all of the starters from each gen in my games. I only get 1 game and then the remake (crystal emerald ect) so I trade a starter over so I have all of them.
Most definitely! My current team contains all three Hoenn starters at lv96, the first ever pokemon I raised to lv100 (using Rare Candies) was my pokemon blue Charizard and the first lv100 without cheating was my Silver Typhlosion!
I always put my starter in my team. Then when I get a new game I trade my starters from my other games onto it. That's why when D/P come out in North America I'm gonna trade my Blaziken from Emerald and Venusaur from Firered onto my Pearl team.
My starter is always in my team. No matter how many times I restart a game a starter will be in my team. The other pokemon are chosen around the starter.
My starter is always on my main team, yes. =) Because I'm definitely geeky enough to become attached to my starter. Of course, the fact that I'm a huge fan of at least one starter from the first, third and fourth generation helps - not really sure if I'd want it hanging around if I didn't like it...
