Doduo Flies?

Okay... I have a few problems with some of the pokemon, and here they are (list any you can think of too).

Doduo (and dodrio) learns "fly"... Now, how can a land-based bird with no wings learn to fly into the air and attack enemies, much less carry a rider soaring through the air?... This always bothered me with Doduo... -I- think they should have (when they could) dual-classed it to be flying/ground... but they didn't, instead doduo is normal/flying and can... fly. Perhaps it sprouts ethreal wings? *cough*

Aron (the tail-less wonder) learns "iron tail"... Now, in order to USE iron tail, wouldn't you at least have to have a tail? I always saw my little Aron attacking people with it's "buns of steel"... Which makes me sad. And, unfortunately, is the only reason I evolve my Aron, because I want it to have the wonderful attack of "iron tail", without beating up other monsters in a seemingly disturbing way.

Well, for Fly, maybe it jumps really high. And Lairon, maybe it has a tiny tail that extends when it attacks.

I have to agree with you on both of those, but moreso with Dodrio. Even in colosseum/XD it flies up into the air! It's obviously based off of an Emu/Ostrich, they can't fly!

G/S/C would have been the perfect time to change it to flying/ground. But they didn't.

Maybe Doduo can acually fly, but just not when people are starring at it

It could have a retractable tail, like dogs with a... yeah.

I'm pretty sure that, yes, doduo jumps really high from place to place.

Doduo has hidden wings that extend to form larger wings that enable actual flight, in my opinion. If you study its anatomy closely, you'll find that there are actually some more feathers under the current layer of feathers.

It's just like Breloom's arms, they're hidden, but they can extend to enable punching.
