Does anybody feel that the "Fortune Wheel" is pointless?

Hi there peoples.
was just playing my PBR game and I had to take on Neon Colosseum. and do that wheel thing. yeah, i hate it.
anybody else think it's useless? or is it just me...?
close if needed, just opinions here

How is it useless? It adds an element of surprise and shatters planning a good team. And you also can't fave a full 6 team of good pokemon because its possible for your opponent to take your own good pokemon.

Of course some of us older kids know how to cheat the wheel =P

anyways, i don't like it, i don't like using i=other pokemon besides my own.
okay yeah, sometimes it comes in handy, but still, sometimes you get only one of yours and like they get 4 of yours...
that's one of the reasons why i hate neon colosseum...

Not liking =/= worthless.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But then again I always get my own Pokemon with it. It's not random at all when you can time it to get what you want.

While I normally have a great sense of timing, I find it easier to make a pass with so-so pokemon. It also helps to include one totally useless pokemon (like a level 100 Magikarp) and just focus on not getting it.

I do, a bit, but it's fun sometimes to use someone else's Pokemon (especially with the level 50 all rule). Variety is the spice of life, they say.

It took about three of us to cheat that wheel, and after two nights of it, back in Summer of 2008, we finally got through that Coliseum! I remember because the A.I would always get 1 Pokemon from the trainer card that would simply ream us. I think Gabite w/ Dragon Rage was the biggest threat, because at that level it deals unavoidably high, consistent damage.

As for being worthless, any move or situation with a high degree of random factors could be considered pointless.

I don't! I think it's pretty much fun and cool.
It is like a new "element" to the game. Even though my Pokemon are 2x as powerful of my opponent's,it IS so much fun!

I control the Fortune Wheel and sometimes I close my eyes and throw the dart.

At the first moment I saw the wheel, I instantly realized how to abuse it. And it's good for iv's battling sometimes when you have no wifi.

I found it frustrating but it was a good challenge. It took a while though, my opponents kept getting my weavile and kicking my butt with him. :c

i think its fun throw together a team of pokemon of equal tier and strength and just close your eyes and go for it. ^^

I've noticed that some people have said that they "cheat" on the wheel without explaining how.

... It's actually simple: The positions of you Pokemon on the wheel are based on their positions on your Trainer Pass.

Since you can't modify your Trainer Pass in the middle of a Colosseum Challenge, you can say that the positions of your Pokemon on the wheel stay constant. Just count a certain number of spaces, then shoot.


... This principle could also be applied to the Courtyard Colosseum, which also has a constant wheel.

I always used Rental Passes for this thing, so I never really cared. Either way my pokemon sucked.

Just stick with a rental pass and youll be fine
