Does anyone else catch legendaries with regular pokeballs?

Hi, this is my 1st thread so might have made a few mistakes

Is anyone as OC (obsesive-compulsive) as i am at catching legendaries w/ regular pokeballs? For those who didn't notice, ever since RS there's been a picture of the pokeball you used to catch the pkmn in the lower lefthand corner

I caught all the regis in RSE w/ pokeballs, articuno, zapdos, and moltres and LG, zapdos and moltres in FR, and... in emerald, kyogre in 5, groudon in 10, and rayquaza in 3!!!, i caught the last 3 all on christmas eve at around 10 pm while betting with my cousin if i could catch kyogre in 50 tries, i did and i was so excited that i went to both groudon and rayquaza within an hour. o ya, i also caught latios in ruby w/ a pokeball, im hunting latias now in emerald cos i caught latias in sapphire w/ a masterball =(

*im not lying and i dont intend to brag, i just wanted to tell those who didnt know that its possible to catch a lvl 70 legendary in so few tries

i caught my rayquaza within 3 balls...2 timer balls and then caught it with an ultra ball

I try to catch them with pokeballs, but I think it takes more time so Great Balls and Ultras work better.

i stocked up on 30 netballs for the battle with kyogre.
what balls should i use for groudon?

Ultras. I caught him in my third throw with an Ultra.

I don't use ultras. I use great balls with enormous success

I have got the three regi's (regirock only took 5!) with pokeballs. moltres with pokeballs and trying to get Kyogre with them too.. the dumb thing double edges to death alot!

I alternated between Net Ball and Dive Ball to catch my Shiny Kyogre (in Net Ball)

I also caught Groundon with a GreatBall and Mewtwo with UltraBall

I catch all of em in regular pokeballs too..
I like it when you can see the regular ball at the pokemon's summary,
because then everyone can see the hard work you've done^^

My sis caught Zapdos with a Great Ball on Red though.

Nay. I don't bother with legends, save a few. And the Ball you caught it with is just aesthetic, or bragging rights for those into this kind of stuff...

I use Timer Ball for most. Now that I have them in my Pokédex thanks for the multiple Files I've been playing with, and how my Catcher, Breloom, is at 100, I find Repeat Balls and Nest Balls to be certainly useful. I use Net Balls for Kyogre and Suicune, and Timer Balls for most others, if Repeat/Nest Balls refuse to work after many uses.

I had 99 Pokeballs when I went to catch Rayquaza. I left the Sky Pillar with nearly none lol

This doesn't apply for R/S/E in my case, but on leaf Green, I captured all the legendary birds and Mewtwo in ordinary pokeballs. (sorry if off topic)

I cought my rayquaza on the first try with a master ball

It was my first pokemon game (emerald) and I thought he was rare and didn't know about the lati@s and threw it I regret it but I cought latios with a ultra ball

I didn't know that you could catch them with pokeballs because it is written on the site to use a couple of ultra balls ,but when I caught articuno on my first try with a pokeball I started using them.
