Do you think that legendaries will start to get evolutions too. I think it would be great. Now, I'm talking about Celebi, Lugia, Ho-oh, Entei, etc. I know ones like Meragross and Draginite are, but should they? I say yes!

No,it would just be weird if they got evolutions. I once thought Lugia would look cool with an evolution,but that was when I was stupid and besides if legendries got evolutions they'd have uberly powerful stats aka special defense of lugia evolution =125456 or, attack of groudon =145646. Of course it wouldnt be THAT high,but you know where I'm getting at. It would also mess up netbattle to the max and the meta-game would be screwed. By the way,Dragonite and Metagross aren't legendaries.>>;

First of all, Metagross and Dragonite aren't legendaries. >_<;

Secondly, the whole point of a legendary is uniqueness and singleness (silly, but true). Legendaries are called 'legendary' for a reason. :\

Ha,ha,ha, no. This is a stupid idea, I don't see why they should, it would make them seem like they weren't legendary if they got evolutions.

It's an alright idea. However, as everyone else has been saying, the already incredible stats of the legendaries would go through the roof.
That would be very unbalanced.

Firstly, as mentioned, Dragonite, Tyranitar and Salenamce/Metagross (nobody knows which) are pseudo-Legendaries (normal Pokémon with high stats) and most consider them Ubers.

Secondly, I hate the idea of Legendaries having evolutions. These creatures are supposed to be immortal and unable to reproduce, meaning that if a Legendary evolved, it's pre-form would cease to exist and would eventually be forgotten.
Also, the way the Legendaries are one-of-a-kind implies that they'll never have evolutions. And their stats would be insane! Even if they're prevos, they'd be really unbalanced.


I toss the idea out the window right away.

Well it's all been said really. To sum up on legendaries evolving and add my opinion NO NO NO NO NO! They're unique and evolving them would lose the originals forever, the stats would be impossibly high and basically everything that's been said before.

Even if they did have evolutions (nononono), I really don't see how this would be useful to the game. Yanno, throwing everything out of balance and such. And filling your pokedex would be a friggin' pain. Not being able to breed an' all.

Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They would be insanely powerful Super Ubers with stats of like 1000 which would destroy anything in their path. Too much power! The number one rule is that legends cannot breed or evolve.

Well, it is a possible idea, but it would probably take a fundamental rebalancing of the stats of both types of pokemon, as well as of the gameplay. For example, legendaries would have to be nearly impossible to get.

No, legendaries will not evolve. Not only are they powerful enough as is, but also it would be impossible to obtain the first stage of that Pokemon ever again in that save file. If there's one thing that has held true, no base-stage Pokemon has ever been rendered unobtainable, and the same applies to the legendaries. This is almost as absurd as those who desire to have breedable legendaries.

Legendarys are called Legendarys because they are unique. If they suddenly got evolutions, they wouldn't be unique any more. So, no.

I say NAY! I do love a majority of the legendary Pokémon, yes, but they'll seem less unique with evolutions. After all, if they're one-of-a-kind, and they evolved, then there would have to provide the chance to get another Base-Stage, even if made ridiculously rare. Have you also imagined what their stats would be like? It's quite possible that if a legendary evolved, it would have stats up in the thousands, at least near that anyway. Therefore, it would spawn the overusage of even more legendaries. >_<

Besides, the way that most 1-time Pokémon are designed physically, I highly doubt there's a way to boost their image even more so, especially in the likes of Rayquaza.

Although, I kinda have this idea for an armor suit to attach to Mewtwo, a bit similar to the one he wore in the movie...

Untrue. Legendaries are not immortal (see: movie five, specifically Latios and parents) and they can reproduce (see: movie five, with Latios and Latias being the children of two other Lati's; Whirl Islands Arc, with young Lugia).

Why on earth would you want to evolve a Legendary anyway? Most of them are fine the way they are.
