Does anyone want the return of Rental Pokemon?

I miss rentals. It's what made Stadium 1 and 2 fun when I played at my cousin's. There was no worry about link cables or a GBA game. You didn't need it. Also, they had the same levels which made it fun. I don't like bringing out my Ruby or Fire Red to play multiplayer against my Collesium or XD and have the GBA ones pwn the Cube ones because they have higher levels. I was dissapointed too because I wanted a game with the newer Pokemon and similar to Stadium. Anyone else agree with me? ;257;

Well, the main focus of Colosseum and XD was the RPG. I, personally, liked it, but it could have been better. But this isn't the place to talk about my opinion on Colosseum.

But I'll admit, I do miss the rentals, and I hope they have this on Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Yes, the rentals should come back. It would be fair in multiplayer,for the rentals in Stadium 1 and 2 are pretty balanced, not overpowered, and two, the Wii itself will be pretty expensive, and for people who don't have a DS or a DS Lite with Diamond/Pearl, they're going to have to invest money to play in multiplayer mode.

I don't really care. I liked both the Stadium series and XD and Colo. A combination is the best way to go.

I don't mind Sub-Punchers, tanks, or sweepers, but if they add crap like Tyranniboah, Skarmbliss, etc. you can make a team that looks something like this:

Tyraniboah, Curselax, Skarmbliss, Calmcune, Bellyzard, and one other Pokemon with a nickname that I'm too lazy to think of.

Point is, what's the fun in winning with a team like that?

There's not much of a chance for rentals to come back. Unless Nintendo want to show their ineptitude at Marketing strategies, as they did with the Stadiums, they won't come back. Rentalks made it so you only needed to buy the respective Stadium game in order to play it. That could easily be translated in less income and lower sales on the respective Handheld games. Quite the paradox, considering those products were made to PROMOTE the franchise and enforce the sales of all games as a whole.

That's why Colosseum/XD got rid of them. Not only you had a RPG Mode in those games where you could catch your own Pokémon and use them anyway, making rentals superfluous. But that raked in the money as well, by not adding a pointless option which, in the end, would diminish the sales of GBA carts.

I highly doubt Battle Revolution will include this feature. Yes, it was fast and awesome for battles on-the-go. I'll give you that much. But it wasn't neither needed nor benefical for the franchise in any way. Not to mention prejudicial from a business standpoint.

The Wii and the DS can communicate via wireless anyway. The complaints about extra accesories is moot from now on...

In short... no. I don' care whether they add them or not, but if they have an ounce of brain cells, they'll shaft it again, as they intelligently did in Coloseeum and XD.
