Does starting like this make any sence?

I was just thinking about this.

I know that breeded versions of pokemon are generally stronger than thier original versions. So instead of leveling your Squirtle lets say, when you start, you catch a Pidgey, or a Ratatta, and lvl them up and use them as your main.

At least until you can lvl your breeded Squirtle later on in the game?

I dont know about that, but it sounds pretty weird to me.
I usually level up my starter the most, like most people.
I dont breed my starter at all.

Yeah im in the same boat as you. It's just that I hear that breeding is the thing to do ya know? So, especially with the online coming soon, I figured it's best to have everything as solid as can be. So :p

Once I breed it though whats that point? Isn't the point, training it once it's breed so it will be stronger?

>_>

Well, in Gold, I ended up catching Kadabra, Graveler, and Haunter, so Chicorita kinda was left Rotting in my team ._.

On my Emerald, I got a female starter and used it along with some crap Pokemon I caught early on. Then I bred everything once I got to the daycare center.

I think I'm just going to play the game through with some half-decent Pokemon and do all my breeding to get my for-real wi-fi team after I beat the Elite Four. I find it easier to do all the breeding and EV training after I beat the game.

Bred Pokemon aren't necessarily stronger then other ones. It all depends on the IVs of the parents.

I always save breeding for after the storyline.

I normally always drop my starter, bar Charmander.
