Does the Shiny Dog Tricks work on the lati's?

does this trick work on the lati's:-

Shiny Dog Trick

You need 1 AND ONLY 1 MAX REPEL (money saver!), a Pokemon level 30 first in your party, a master ball (strongly suggested)

Go to route one in the grass and save. Now use the max repel until it runs out. If u didn’t battle the dog reset and continue this until you get the shiny.

I heard lati@s are preset at the beggining of the game

It works, because one time i was searching for a shard to get a evo stone, then my level 85 swampert was first in my party, with max repel on no normal pokemon appeared, but then i got into a battle and i was like WTF? Then it turned out to be a latois.

Why just one Max Repel? Money is easy in Pokémon!

Whatever, I don´t think so, I did something semelhant to find a modest Latias (Stupid TV and me, I put red when I wanted blue -_-), all of them were bold, the WILD Lati@s are preset in the start of the game, the Ticket Lati@s aren´t.

I´m not completely sure about shinyness, but nature and IV are preset when you start a new game.

Shinyness is too. Try attacking it, then resetting, and attacking it again. You will see that the amount of damage is very similar. (Not exactly the same, there is a certain amount of randomness in the attacks)
