Catch a Meowth in Cerulean.Go through battles and make sure it has Pick Up.You should get a TON of berries this way,and this will give you access to many cures and health restorers.If you already knew this,please don't make a rude comment.(Note,this works with other pokemon,but this is the first pokemon with pickup you can get in the game.)

Yeah, pickup does that but I don`t technically do that because if I do that I usually end up far from a pc with a pokemon I don`t want to train and my trained pokemon in da pc.

I love using pick-up with my Meowth! It gives me so many useful items. That's actually how I have most of my berries in FireRed.

I have meowth too. I curenttly request Lum Berry in the Berry Forest. I think Meowth has better pick up than Zigzagoon,Phanpy and others. LoL.

I do this on occasion -- but usually on a Hoenn game, where the Pickup prizes are much more worthwhile. Also, I rarely do it for berries; Rare Candies are better.

Still, in FR/LG, there's no berry patches. Unless you have friends, this is the only way to get multiple berries easily (the next one being Berry Forest).

the ability pickup has the same effect with any of these pokemon in FR/LG/R/S

in emerald it is level based...

wish i knew this when i started. i'm new to the whole ability thing and only learned when my pikachu got poisoned by quick attacking a nidoran. i'll have to remember that for the next time i start the game.

I have a level 100 Zigangoo i use for pick up, You wouldent beleive all the rare candies i get

Sorry, but I don't really think there's a need for an entire thread on this...it's pretty common knowledge, and the main site has Pick-Up lists for all the games already.
