send both out on the first turn then have gengar use sunny day and have exeggutor sweep or have it just explode on the first or second turn and gengar take no damage.

note: if this moveset is good I will be entering it in a tournament, so this isnt really that in-game.

Gengar's Explosion probably won't be powerful enough, and you need some way of making it not hurt your partner (Protect for example). So you could replace it with Ice Punch or something, Destiny Bond could work too.

You could implement a double Explosion if you start with something like Regirock/Metagross/Steelix along with Eggy, then after Eggy blows up you send out your ghost type to take the other Explosion. Shiftry is a good alternative to Eggy here and Fake Out is a good disrupting move in double battles.

Sunny Day activates Chlorophyll, Powers HP Fire and does the Solar Beam thing. Gengar doesn't have the power to explode and neither does Exeggutor :/

imo, its better to have a CB Metagross to Explode. 607 atk (max) hurts a lot more than an Eggy Boom. Then you can use a more sweeping Gengar.
