Yeah, I would want Jessie to beat Hikari in her first contest too. It would make it different from May's first contest. Plus...Jessie needs to win sometimes.

That would be so interesting, but I doubt that'll happen, unfortunetly. However, if it does, my respect for the anime might rise a bit. Seriously, why can't Jessie be a serious rival to Hikari? Heh, if Jessie is a real rival to her, then Hikari will be surronded by female coordinator rivals.

On that note, I'm also curious about that redhaired rival. If she's has an interesting dynamic with Hikari and a cool personality, then maybe I'll gain some more interest for the D/P series since my interest in the anime has dwindled so much.

Oh...and I really hope we don't get stuck with Ice type appeals AGAIN. Though, I'm sure that's the direction the writers are heading toward. Ugh, is it too much to ask to get something different? =___=;

If I can't see a definate gender on a Pokemon(get the giggles out now) I say that they are the same gender as the trainer. And considering I haven't seen the D/P eps I can't really tell. That ends that.

Yes, same here, because I love Jessie, and I would love to see her win a few times...or at least beat Hikari. The writers should make Jessie a serious rival. I think it would make me and a lot of other people enjoy D/P much better. It would also make Hikari's contests more different from May's. And that's what we need right now.

I said Hikari dressing up and dressing up her Pokemon would be ridiculous, but it doesn't look like the latter is happening anyway.

I agree with you about the Pokemon dress-up part. Although it happens in the games, and I saw a thread about May putting a bow-tie on Combusken(shudders at the thought of Blaziken dressed up like Tuxedo Mask), I really don't like the idea.

The only reason they're having Hikari dress-up is for fanservice, rather than staying faithful to the games' contests.

I'm sorry that you think the writers are just horny (bleep)ards who think of nothing better to do than write porn. It's obvious that I'm the only one on these boards who thinks that the Japanese just have a different sexual orientation than us. (They don't mind showing 90%-nude girls to little boys because they're more open-minded and disciplined than us censor-happy bad-parenting Americans.)

I've changed my mind about the dancing though, because I'd like to see ONE aspect of the Super Contests kept.

I'd like to see the Sinnoh Contests have something, anything different than the Hoenn and Kanto contests.

I'm amused that the people who spent the entire Battle Frontier saga whining and moaning that the writers didn't keep the BF rules from the games, yet now that they're possibly ignoring all the rules for the Super Contests as well, people don't care.

I wasn't whining and moaning, but I felt a little upset that the writers decided to just degrade the Frontier Brains to watered-down gym leaders. No wonder Ash is tackling Sinnoh Gyms, they are more challenging than those annoying Brains(and that cheapo Brandon with his uber Regis...if I had been Ash, I'd have given up on the Battle Frontier after losing to Regirock and gone back and collected Kanto Badges ). I saw some fanfic author write the Battle Tents from Pokemon Emerald in anime-form, why couldn't the writers have done the same thing? They have experience.(coughcoughTheUltimateTestcoughcough)

Okay, now I'm start to whine and moan, so I'll shut up about that now.

Not only does it show people's various bias, but it's also quite ridiculous.

If I'm going to whine about BF, I'm going to whine about the contests too. I'm unbiased in my whining.

It would definitely be an improvement and it'd leave some room for character development for both Hikari and Jessie. It's annoying to me when Ash immediately finds out that Jess is in the Contest and he gets Pikachu to Thunderbolt her almost every time. =__=

Yeah, it's Appealshipping! I'm really hoping to see them interact soon. The two girls seem so different in their designs, so maybe they will have clashing personalities as well, creating some conflict hopefully. Heh, I can't wait to see the sparks fly between them. ...Er, at least, I hope it will.

Actually, I hope Hikari's one shot rivals that are like Phantom make appearences in the GF, that would be cool.
