DP 8: Greggle of the Mysterious Gym!

Hey, Brock does the preview...

Anyway, we see Jessie in a sexy Seviper costume fighting a Marowak with Dustox. I guess this is the Mysterious Gym.

We see Mukkuru and Aipom doing something.

James yelling at the twerps.

Brock going gaga for filler girl as Greggle follows Meowth.

Greggle inflates it's cheeks.

And we see a shadowy figure jumping out of a tree...It's Scizor!

It then ends with Greggle using some attack.

I know, it rocks my socks.

I really hoped someone would catch this guy, and the preview is confusing. It looks like Team Rocket is controlling Greggle, and WTF Scizor? GTFO out of my DP anime you jerk! You already got your own episode a few months ago!

I didn't expect to see Greggle this early on to be honest. I thought Greggle would be showcased closer to the fighting gym...

I'm glad, next to the Koros and Masukippa, Greggle is one of my new favorites.
It would so go with Team Rocket...I have a 2% hope that it does, but I won't get my hopes up.

I'd also like to take another moment to say that I completely agree with Koji's stance on Greggle making a good Team Rocket pokémon. You need a certain flair to be a Rocket pokémon, and this amphibious customer is just the sort of weirdo they're looking for~

Jessie's Seviper outfit rocks my world. For reals.
...as do Mukkuru and Dustox actually doing something!

I didn't mean in this episode :p I meant in general, we've only just begun D/P I assumed the first episodes of D/P would be about debutting the Bippa's etc of the region then onto the slightly less common Pokemon like Greggle ;D.

Ah, that's true. XD Come to think of it, we've only seen like one shot of Beappa/Beadull so far, right? And there's been no signs of the Kolync line and such, either. Hmm.

We saw some Bippa in a field and a few in the intro but we haven't seen many Pokemon like that at all....we saw some of the generic bird line in the first episode iirc XD.

I guess this Episode is the first official DP Pokemon Episode which showcases a new Pokemon across a whole Episode, like those Early Hoenn/Johto fillers which were dedicated to one Pokemon.

But Scizor is a bit random >>;

It also seems like Hikari is adding more things to Pocchama's appeal with more tricks and whizzes then when it performed it in D/P 6. The fact that Brock is narrating says to me that he probally is going to catch greggle. Maybe that filler girl knows of it or owns it or something and since Brock is a breeder she wants him to have it. It didn't look like TR was controlling it, it seemed like it was following Meowth after Meowth did something sneaky likely related to the mysterious gym. That's why Meowth started running because he was getting freaked out by it. It almost seemed like Ash ordered it to attack but he isnt getting it.

I don't think that Takeshi is going to get the Greggle. Aside from the fact that he's narrating the preview, it doesn't look like a Takeshi-centric episode at all.

My guess is that they stuck him in the preview to say, "HEY LOOK GUYS TAKESHI IS DOING SOMETHING BESIDES COOKING :DDD"

Maybe it'll be a Jigglypuff/Snubbul/(I only saw like five episodes of Hoenn so if there was something else along those lines I wouldn't know) and just follow everyone around.

Naw in Hoenn we had stalker Spoink appear twice, but apart from that no recurring Pokemon.

Though a recurring Greggle would be cool, only if it gets a real closer Episode like Snubbull did and not get shunned away after one episode in Hoenn (even though it had been in the previous 3 regions) and never appear again like Jigglybuff.

Notice how when Hikari is narrating then her theme plays in the background, and when Ash is narrating I guess it's the same thing with him (considering we haven't heard his new theme yet) and now when Brock narrated then this rather odd sounding music plays in the background. Maybe he gets a theme of his own too? :eek:

Haha, Meowth gets stalked by some freaky toad. Oh yeah, it sure is its cheeks that swolls up, riiiight? ;D

I'm pretty sure that song that plays during Ash previews is the New Satoshi Theme on the DP CD, as it played when he caught Naetle and Mukkuru.

The song in this preview, I believe, is from a Pichu short (it played when Hikari was riding on her bike in DP 1 as well)

LOL Poor Meowth getting stalked agaian, this happens to him a lot LOL. Sounds like a cool episode, still wonder when Team Galxy will be introduced, at least were getting close to Ash first Gym battle in D/P.
