The obvious answer to that question is Naruto. Don't get me wrong, I think DBZ is sweet, but the Naruto fight scenes are far more enjoyable to watch. This is most likely because Naruto was done more recently. The Naruto fight scenes all have their own certain distinction minus Naruto's constant use of Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

I have to go with DBZ on this one. I think the ones in DBZ are very adrenaline pumping. Like Gohan Vs. Buu w/Gotenks and Piccolo. The first few seconds they're flying and attacking super fast. Very fun to watch.

Don't forget the [SPOIL]Rasengan[/SPOIL] overusage. ;\

As for me, neither. DRAGON BALL had better plain ol' martials action, especially during the Ma Jr. arc with the Tenkaichi Budokai.

Though Z does have an up on fights, compared to Naruto. Both are overly exaggerated, so it's kinda difficult to make a call.

Naruto. I love ninjas.
Hate to break it to ya, but the cast of Naruto make lousy ninja. >_> Look up actual ninja and you'll see the Naruto cast are NOTHING like 'em.

Mangekyo Sharingan

arent they lovely?
even though dragon ballz well it has great scenes regarding to fight i just LOVE Naruto...if you compare any fight agianst vegeta and goku to Sasuke and Naruto you will see a big diffrence ...and i think the diffrence shows Naruto as being on top

Better then you
I have to go with DBZ on this one. I like Naruto and all but I think that flying and shooting ki is way better then jutsu or whatever it's called.

I'm telling you, next week an old lady can't open her pickle jar :} The fillers have really made the word [SPOIL]Rasengan[/SPOIL] painful to hear, but when it's not being abused, it's good.

Hmm... As for the poll I have to go for Naruto, I haven't seen DBZ in a while, but when I think of the fight scenes in it all I can remember is 2 people flying, throwing very fast punches, blocking and going "hu ha hu ha hu ha hu ha hu!!!". In Naruto the fights just have a little more if you know what I mean.

Oh, except for Trunks with his sword, that was a welcome bit of short lived variety.

Have to go with Naruto on this one. I'm not too big a fan of the show itself, but I do admit that it has some pretty cool battles.

Well, if it was the fights of Dragon Ball versus Naruto, then they former would take it since I usually found the fights in Dragon Ball to be consistently entertaining and smart despite the simplicity. But with Dragon Ball Z versus Naruto... Naruto takes it simply because the ingenuity of the characters usually takes place over who is ultimately stronger (although power alone is becoming too much of a factor in recent fights...). While occasionally exciting, the fights in Dragon Ball Z are too basic and lacked emotion in them, barring a few exceptions such as Goku and Piccolo versus Raditz, Gohan versus Cell, and Vegeta versus Fat Buu.

Meh... One Piece beats both of them for me. ^.^

But considering those two... I'd say DBZ edges out Naruto.

I wouldn't say Super Saiyan 2 Goku vs Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta was basic or lacking emotion. Especially not Piccolo's fight with #17, where the two end up punching eachother so hard that their punches are literaly on the verge of busting right through the stomach and back. :p

But as I said, both shows are overally exagerated in fights. Dragon Ball wins completely with its quirkyness and thought out fighting. My particular favorites are with Goku using the Janken on people while shouting one word while acting out another (saying rock while using scissors on someone in the eyes) and Goku plowing right through Piccolo Daimao by using his only working arm to blast himself into the air and punch right through his gut.

Naruto...just that I find could most likely happen in life then seeing two people beating the heck of out of each other, flying in the air and shooting energy blasts.

I don't think it's fair to compare the two honestly. This is like saying "what's better, Super Man Vs. Thor or Batman vs. Spider-Man" where one are two god-like unbelievably strong and powerful opponents and the other are two street wise fighters, who really can't hold their own in a fight of titans. (Super Man and Thor being Goku and co. and Batman and Spider-Man being Naruto)

I'd have to give the nod to Naruto though, only because I find it much more interesting. While it's not fair, since I've seen all of DBZ and Naruto is still new, I have to admitt that DBZ gets very repetitive. (Bad guy fights the little guys, Goku shows up to beat bad guy while friends are too hurt [or dead] to fight, Bad Guy power ups, Goku power ups, Goku beats Bad Guy, but is forced to leave/die in the process) Naruto on the other hand is different in that Naruto isn't always the one and only chance of survival, and focuses on the other characters as a well as Naruto. (DBZ is mostly the story of Goku and later Gohan, while Naruto focuses on him, but also shows what his friends and enemies are up to)

I'm sorry, what? Naruto's HARDLY realistic. o_O Creating dopple-gangers, transforming, controlling sand, creating energy blasts, running faster than the blink of an eye, summoning snakes and frogs and dogs ain't possible. How is that more realistic than Dragon Ball? Please explain the logic there. :|

Some of the filler in Z does focus on some of the other characters. Also would like to point out that Goku only really beat two major villains with his own strength (Vegeta and Freeza), while he was killed by Piccolo's Makankosappo and Cell's self-destruction. Boo was simply killed by everyone providing their energy to the Genki Dama, something not attributed through Goku's power. :p Not to mention, Radditz was killed by Piccolo, Nappa by Vegeta, Ginyu Special Corps. (minus Ginyu) by Vegeta, Freeza by Trunks, and Boo by the Super Genki Dama. Also, Toriyama was forced to change his story to focus more on Goku since he wanted the story to focus on Gohan, rather than Goku.

Being a martial artist myself, I have to approve DBZ over Naruto any day. I mean the plot and characters on Naruto are A+, but to put it simply; in DBZ planets are blown up regularly with KI. There is just much more power, acceleration and actual technique to the fights in DBZ. I feel it really was more entertaining action wise.
When on the other hand I see all kind of contraptions get summoned out of no where in a fight for Naruto, which then gets claimed to be a Ninpo type of "jutsu". It's like I'm watching Harry potter ninjas.

I mean it is cool, but it just seems more farfetched than DBZ. On DBZ they actually worked themselves up to their godly strength level as we see on Dragon Ball. It is also explained later that Goku isn't human too, so that explains a lot including the crazy villains in DBZ.
