Which one would you choose.
Mine would probably be Dragonite.

Tyranitar is rock/dark so it has a type advantage against Dragonite, Tyranitar has better stats, and Tyranitar looks cooler

Wow, is this a question? 0_0

The Tier List says it all. Tyranitar is infinitely better than Dragonite in every way, shape, or form. Anything and everything Dragonite can do is done better by some other Pokémon(prominently Salamence). Tyranitar does some pretty awesome things, though, and it has an impressive movepool and Stat layout.

I adore both Pokémon, but I prefer Dragonite...partly because I'm biased toward Dragon-types. D: I've always loved Dragonite...He was my first fully-evolved Dragon Pokémon I've ever owned, and he always served me well in battle. The big lug's always had a place in my heart. I still love Tyranitar, though. ♥

I chose Tyranitar because I think it is stronger than Dragonite, since it is a Rock Type. Its attack is really high, too. I have both Dragonite and Tyranitar in my team, and I use Tyranitar more frequently in battle than Dragonite.

Tyrannitar. You have to really feel sorry for Dragonite. It's a great Pokemon in its own right, but everything it can do is done better by Tyrannitar/Salamence.

Dragonite. Even if it's just my hatred trigger acting on. I hate Tyranitar. With a burning passion. It's simple. It used to be a favorite, but Nintendo's badly planned moves made this damn dinosaur way too broken for my tastes. That's as hated as a Pokémon can be hated... =/

So yes... Dragonite. It's not THAT bad after all. Maybe if I purify it the hard way in XD will make me respect it a bit...

People saying that Tyranitar has a better offensive stats than Dragonite are wrong. But I prefer Tyranitar because of its movepool, type combo, etc.

I r gud riter.
Set one against each other, Tyranitar wins. Set each against a team, Tyranitar destroyes more.

Tyranitar's gonna be much more useful as it can take out much more things, but Dragonite will easily defeat Tar.

Dragonite used Brick Break!

Tyranitar fainted.

That's all Dragonite's gotta do to win Tar, but tyranitar will, and I mean it, help you most overall.

Dragonite needs to die. Repeatedly. :< I loathe its design, and anything it can do, something else can do better...and without making me go "ick, cute Charizard-orange dragon with a pathetic stub of a horn and random antennae that ruined the evo line of sleek blue serpent dragons by becoming what looks like a stuffed animal" while it's doing it.

So yeah, T-tar. I'd probably pick it even without my blantently obvious anti-Dragonite bias, for reasons stated before and that I'm too lazy to repeat. :p

Tyranitar i better.
I had a Tyranitar and battled a level 100 Dragonite. Used Rock Slide and Dragonite fainted.
He looks awesome, like an ancient legendary pokemon.

Brick Break sucks with out STAB ._.

Not to mention Tyranitar's Base 110 Defense and Base 100 HP. It can probably survive most unSTABed Brick Breaks.

Yo! Just cause it has a type advantage against Dragonite doesn't matter much (read the entire thing to understand my explanations), and Dragonite looks 10 times more cooler than Tyrannitar (ok, I exxagerated...) Dragonite rules! Tyrannitar is cool, but not as cool as my friend Dragonite!!! And Tyrannitar DOES NOT have better stats than Dragonite. Also, Dragonite has a better moveset, and he is dragon type- which is a good and cool type.
Another thing-fighting is double super affective against tyran., and ice is double super affective against dragonite. Dragonite destroys ice types with Fire Blast, but tyrannitar doesn't have anything super efective against fighting types (can't learn psychic) except Aerial Ace, which is weak, and it might not be able to learn it (Aggron can).
Don't get me wrong-Tyrannitar is cool, but just not as cool as Dragonite.

Tyranitar, though is a lot more durable. Dragonite has lower Defenses and HP, and it has a weakness to Ice Beam, one of the most common moves in all of NetBattle. Fighting attacks aren't really that common, as they're quite useless without STAB. Most frequently you'll see them is on Heracross or Medicham =/ Otherwise, it's all in the clear for Tyranitar. It may have 6 weaknesses, but with such good Defenses and HP, it's very capable of resisting them.

Tyranitar also wins over Dragonite with DD. They both get it, but Tyranitar gets Taunt, which is essential to DDing. Dragonite doesn't. Meaning it can just get Whirlwind'd/Roar'd/Haze'd/Burn'd. Tyranitar stops all of that with Taunt, which is awesome. Even after one DD, not much stands up to Tyranitar. Give it a few more and you've just won :).

Tyranitar is also better at SubPunching because of its base 100 HP. Dragonite doesn't get 101 Subs because its Base HP isn't high enough. Tyranitar, though, can SubPunch due to 101 Subs, which it can pull off with max HP EVs. Dragonite can do it, but Blissey just breaks through its Subs regardless. Tyranitar's Subs won't be broken due to Ice resistance if it has Ice Beam, and Seismic Toss resistance because of 101 Subs. Seismic Toss breaks through Dragonite's Subs, and Ice Beam does too because of that 4x weakness to Ice. Theoretically, Dragonite could Sub on the switch to Blissey and FP on the breaking of the Sub. But who would switch in a Blissey against a primarily Physical Pokémon anyway? =/
