Dream a Little Dream From Me! (901)

Surprised nobody made a bigger deal of it considering it's a legendary Pokémon, but then this the 4th Darkrai Ash has encountered; one in Almos Town, One in Canalave, one with Tobias and now here. Is there more than one Darkrai or does the same one just keep reappearing.

Based on the fact we saw one of those Darkrai emerge from a Pokeball while the others were all wild, we can safely assume that there are multiple Darkrai..

It baffles me that people are starting to like these fillers...

But there is something that came out of this. "Squishy"'s name is actually "Y".

Could this really be called a filler though? Pikachu and meowth (who can talk) know more about the whole zygarde and "order of kalos" situation now and even saw a bit of perfect zygarde. They also learned about the fact that once perfect zygarde is made, the world will be saved and the "flame" can be defeated.

And as you said we learned it's name (?) I thought it said "I am I" or "eye" but I'm not sure.

Also the joke about pikachu evolving was kinda funny actually.

You do realize that they do the pokedex thing for the newer generation of kids, right?

I don't think it was for nothing. One thing this season has shown is that the writers are good at setting things up. Look at how things went with serena, people were speculating and wondering what her goal would be because it was supposed to be a mystery, some felt annoyed that she wasn't doing anything and that led up to her admitting that she felt like she needed to do something and knew she wasn't doing anything.

That's just one example, i could go on but the point is, i feel like things like that conversation wasn't just for the audience to know. I feel like since meowth can talk and he was a part of that conversation, it'll come back up again in a future episode.

Admittedly, this episode was really awful..

Like I know that fire thing was symbolic of Team Flare, but it looked ridiculous.. and why did the Pokemon shout their attacks as though they were Digimon?

My least favourite episode of XY, by a long shot.

I don't think it was for nothing. One thing this season has shown is that the writers are good at setting things up. Look at how things went with serena, people were speculating and wondering what her goal would be because it was supposed to be a mystery, some felt annoyed that she wasn't doing anything and that led up to her admitting that she felt like she needed to do something and knew she wasn't doing anything.

That's just one example, i could go on but the point is, i feel like things like that conversation wasn't just for the audience to know. I feel like since meowth can talk and he was a part of that conversation, it'll come back up again in a future episode.

I'm not doubting it's entirely possible for them to remember the dream further down the line when Squishy goes Perfect form to defeat Team Flare, it's just for now it seems like they were treating it as part of the dream and nothing more.

As we all know from the tenth movie Darkrai give nightmares for warnings about the future. Which seems like what this Darkrai was trying to do. I still don't understand why it wouldn't give nightmares to humans like in the movie, unless in the main anime they can only give it to Pokémon.

Probably because it was the only real way of communicating with the audience what the move was. In all other situations a trainer either calls the move or Clemont or a supporting cast member describes it.

It wasn't really the future they were seeing it was more the present. Zygarde already know that both it can transform and that Team Flare were chasing it. Pikachu and Meowth were simply seeing what it experiences.

No Darkrai can give nightmares to humans in the anime. Ash had a nightmare caused by Darkrai in Sleepless in Prebattle back in DP. It probably didn't give it to the humans because they weren't nearby. Both Pikachu and Meowth walked off from the camp before they fell asleep.

Alright, I'm late to the party, but I finally watched the episode today. That episode was absolute genius. I loved it. Easily my favorite episode of Kalos so far. It had humor, action, and story, everything a good episode needs. Not to mention Meowth felt like the good old-fashioned pre-Unova Meowth.

And there's no way this episode was filler. It served as character development for Squishy, the central character of the current arc.

This episode was really bizarre. Seeing non-legendary Pokémon talking that's not Meowth doesn't feel normal. The Pokémon calling out their attacks may be a reference to other animes, but I'm not 100% sure.

Also, Ash actually recognised Darkrai. I'll give him points for that.

The English version of this episode is definitely way better than the original Japanese version. What really did it for me was the voice that was given to Squishy. He sounded very suave and regal, which is just plain awesome! It took me by surprise at first, but I warmed up to it after a while. When I first heard his voice, I was all like "OMG! Squishy, is that you?! You sound SO COOL!!!" I LOVED it.

The plot was awful I agree, but it was somewhat amusing seeing different evolution stages of Pokémon being thrown around. And it is not completely a filler episode due to "Squishy's" interaction with Z2. I give this one 3 out of 5 stars

It sounded a bit stereotypical. It was Todd trying to sound British for the sake of being in a region based on France. What a voice direction.

That British voice isn't hard for me to decode. It was voiced by Todd Haberkorn.

It accuracy wasn't tom. It was Marc tomsome.

Oh come on. Serena did nothing the first 40 episodes! Bad writing is bad! #Sarcasm.

I just saw this episode in Dutch.. Not that I don't understand English, but I don't check in with the English dub after seeing the Japanese and this one happened to be on air in the Netherlands. I actually liked it a bit.

Oh, there have been worse episodes in XY than this one.. Because I remember Chesnaught and Binacle episodes.. or Fish the Golden Magikarp.. -.-

Again, I know this is your opinion, but seeing the groups pokémon evolved has a novelty factor for me.
