Dreamcast Games Recommendations

Alright. I dusted off my Dreamcast after it had been sitting in front of me on my computer table for a while and started playing a couple of my Dreamcast games. Considering they're dirt cheap now, I'd like to buy a few more games.

So, what I would like are some recommendations from you guys. Doesn't matter what region it's from. I can use a device to play imports on my US console.

Great titles and have had numerous postive reviews.

I should probably say not to recommend any sports games. ^^; I'm no fan of them. This includes wrestling.

how about spider-man I got it for the ps and I found it good but it is short or you could play Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

Played Spider-Man on the Playstation one. Did not like it at all.

As for that Buzz Lightyear game, it doesn't look very interesting. >_>;

Sword of Berserk: Guts' Rage.

It's very good and the music is outstanding. Though you might not get alot of it since you kinda have to read the original manga to get who's who in the game.

Aside from the aforementioned Ikaruga (TOUGH game!)

-Shikigami No Shiro II. More DC shoot-em-up goodness. Also ported to the PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, and PC if you care, although the DC ver. is a direct port of the arcade version.
-Street Fighter III: Third Strike. A very deep fighting game, a definite challenge especially in 2P play.
-Twinkle Star Sprites. A versus-style puzzle/shoot-em-up hybrid. VERY fun if you're battling against a friend who knows how to play!
-Bangai-O. Sort of a free-roaming 2D shooter. Big emphasis on blowing stuff up. Awesome gameplay, it's from Treasure after all!
-MSR: Metropolis Street Racing. The "prequel" to the Xbox's Project Gotham Racing. A bit skimpy on longevity, but a good time nonetheless.
-Border Down. A very worthwhile horizontal shoot-em-up. It's sort of rare though, and as a result VERY expensive! (upwards of about $90 or more on eBay). You're on your own with this one.
-Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves. One of the better fighters that SNK put out before their stint of bankrupcy back in 2001. More fast-paced than you'd expect with a Fatal Fury game.
-Trizeal. Final reccomendation, and it's another shooter. Admittedly, this one isn't the best-looking or the most advanced, but it's tough as nails and pretty damn fun.

The Dreamcast is an awesome machine, a shame it died here in the U.S. the way it did. In Japan that baby kept kicking with sparatic releases and re-releases until early 2005, which considering the system's status was rather amazing.

Try Power Stone 2 and erm... I forgot... so yeah... Power Stone 2!!! oh and MVC2 if you like. Power Stone 2 rox, with 4 player madness and a cheap Goku rip-off with Kamehameha and Genki dama-like attacks

Too bad my controllers, a few of my games, and my VMU were stolen ._.; I loved my Dreamcast and I HAD awesome times on Crazy Taxi ;;

Oh I've tried PS2 and MVC2. It's just difficult finding them at cheap prices (MVC2 anyways, keep seeing it for $30 and up). XD;

Hm, interesting list there, FR. I'll look into 'em. Yeah, I saw that the Dreamcast still had games coming out from 3rd party developers after 2001. Just noticed there's no longer anything being released now. Real shame.

What sucks even more is that Phantasy Star Online is no longer supported in the US for Dreamcast, yet both versions can still be accessed in Europe and Japan. T_T

Milestone announces Rajiruji 02.12.05

Milestone announces the conversion of the Arcade Shooter Rajiruji. The distribution is to take place to 16.02.06 in Japan.

And just like all the rest of the recent DC releases, it's a shoot-em-up. Here's some info/screens from Milestone's site.

I have a Dreamcast and would suggest some of the games that i own,
Crazy taxi 2 (better than the first, i think so)
Toy Commander, God of a game. Cant beleive you dont have it!!
Shenmue 2!! (Again better than the first)
Quake 3 was awsome online, but is still a good game!!
House Of The Dead 2 (avec gun (ofcourse))
MSR 1+2 =Decent racing games
Resident Evil 2
Soul Reaver
Silent Scope
South Park Rally
