Drifblim & Drifloon

OK, don't want to make fun of it. Just want to talk about it..

What if a Drifblim or a Drifloon, the balloon itself, will ''pop''?

Eergh. It happened to Team Rocket's balloon many times.

1. The reason 'it can't be touched by Slash because it's a ghost' is true but it still can be touched by Bite or Iron Tail..

Then how can it heal itself? Well, I just want to be curious. Say a Sneasel uses Slash or something. What in the world could happen to tha little Drifloon?

I don't hate Drifblim (& Drifloon) or something. In fact, it's one of my most loved Pokémon because it's awesome. I just was thinking about this.

I would say.. it's skin is thicker than a balloon, but still streachable enough to expand and fly. But it's also the pokemon world so anything is possible xD

There are alot other moves that can pop a balloon.. Bite for example. Or Iron Tail.. Metal Claw..

um, I'm going to go with their being made of skin. with internal organs and such. of course, they could have some kind of inflatable organ, like fish. then again, they could just be made of rubber or nylon. except this rubber bleeds.

also, I don't think drifloon/blim need to worry about inflating or deflating themselves. I think they always stay inflated.

ooh, ooh! lets add some science! maybe there is some kind of inner vacuum that keeps everything presurized. like, its really dense inside their bodies, so air is unable to escape and they stay inflated. and then the rubber works like skin and regenerates itself. wooo!

The external coating of Drifblim and Drifloon is made of a special substance that sustains its "balloon-ness". It is a ghost-type, after all, so a combination of chemicals and mixtures may be present in it's coating.

It is a ghost. Maybe it can't be popped. Then again, Azelf is able to use Explosion so I could be wrong.

I have considered this all before as well...

If you check the Pokemon manga, there are several instances of Pokemon recovering from what should be absolutely mortal injuries. The fact that they even sustain them is shocking. For instance, in Lavender Town, Green's Charmeleon slashes an Arbok into pieces (I kid you not, you can see the blood and bone) and I believe it gets healed, presumably at a PokeCenter.

I wonder what would happen if I sucked the air out of the Drifloon or Drifblim...would I have a chipmunk voice, or are they filled with some weird and deadly gas?

oh no, dirfloon explosion!!! I'm sure it's not 100% like a ballon, it jsut posseses alot of similar qualities and let's hope its fragility isn't one of them.

That... I think Drifloon isn't a balloon. I mean, it's supposed to be a Pokemon, after all. It's just... Based on those party accessories. It is a GHOST pokemon, so it probably has some witchcraft going on in it...

Oh yeah, and imagine Pin Missile.

I remember that! That was from the only issue I own that's lost in my bookshelf somewhere. xDDD
