Ok, I was reading on gamespot.com, and reading about the 1sy day he DS Lite came out in Japan, and they said there was a line so long, that is had to be split in 2, and those two had to be split in 3, or something like that(me: O_O) So I got to thinking, do you think the DS Lite will be THAT popular(or a least close to) in Canada/USA?

Well there is a line up of 10 of the same threads after this so who knows, anything can happen!

On a serious note, I doubt that this will be THAT popular here. We didn't see any huge lineups for the Micro. Sure many people will probably buy it when it comes out here in Canada but lineups are not gonna happen that's for sure. Well unless the price is like super low.

Don't blame him for that. If the system had been working correctly, it would've said, "This thread is a duplicate of a thread you have already posted". Not your fault.

Did the SP sell out? I don't think it did. It may get popular, but I doubt it'll sell out.

No, and that is final. DS is not so popular in America as it is in Japan. Also, in Japan, some grown-ups buy it. Here, once you are out of Elementary, Middle school. Gameboys turn into iPods. (with few exceptions) in conclusion, probably not

Actually tons of adults have bought the DS or want one. In fact tons of elderly are buying it because brain training is actually reccomended by the hospitals for patients with memory problems. Also keep in mind the reason why its so popular in Japan right now is the release of Brain training in Japan. The DS has already sold almost over 14 million worldwide, 1 million unique connections and 27 million online matches/interaction. Once we get metroid prime hunters, tetris, NSMB and brain training I could see the popularity of it rising rapidly. Another thing is that the ipod was around for quite along time until it became a hit. So we also have to give time before disregarding it as not being as popular as an ipod.

Na, Japan is mroe into Nintendo than the rest of the world. In the UK, the DS is seen as a bit "childish" even though loads of people ahve it. The PSP is seen as "cool" even though little people ahve it and hardly anyone plays it as much as the DS owners. It's all about popularity really.

ya, i dunno y you think its childish, i have even seen some m rated games for the ds the psp is pointless, its just another cell phone without the phone, its doesn't have much good games and the movies, your paying more for the psp movies than the dvds!

The launches of PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast would like to disagree with your statement. As would XBox 360.
