I'm planning on getting the Opera Browser for my DS, so I want to know:

1) Has the Opera browser already been released in Japan?
2) If not to # 1 then when will it be released in Japan?
3) Do we know when the Opera Browser will be released in North America?

1.) Yes, though it is SLOW.
3.) Not sure. x.X Prolly around Wii launch....

I'm not even sure if it is GOING to come out over in the U.S. Like I said, prolly around Wii launch if it is coming out....

I'm guessing no. IIRC, the TV tuner uses transmits from some sort of tower that you only find in Japan right now. If it came over here, you wouldn't be able to use it.

Yes, just all your menus and browsing tools will be displayed in Japanese. It should be much of a problem though, as all English sites will still be in English.

But, as SwampyGroudon said, the browser is SLOW.

^The guy says that larger sites can easily take 2-3 minutes to load. If you're willing to sacrifice speed for ease of use, then go for it.

There are tools you can use to speed up load times.

Well hell if it's slow I don't think it will be worth the money then.

iirc, yes, it does take that long per page (though smaller, less flashy-er pages take less time).

Actually, if it comes out over here, it'll be either slower or the same speed. Internet connections in Japan are much faster than ours. For instance, my connection is always about 6 MBps, in Japan you could easily get around 30 MBps IIRC.

Not all the time though. o.o; I remember reading that it would be faster on our servers...though I could be VERY wrong. XP

It's slow like many people said. But if you're really want to surf the internet on your DS, go for it.
