Dub Title Thread

Knew it. Again the JP titles become quite odd as of this point. So the the dub will be doing the same from this point onwards. Also yes, this is for Ash VS Cynthia part 1.

Why, yes, I'm bewildered that the previous episode was wasted on some random kids and a cheap connection to Ash's Lucario with Cynthia's Garchomp.

JN124 is called Valor: A strategic Part Of Battling! They actually used the JP word Valor from its title, just with add meaning. This is for Ash VS Cynthia part 2 BTW.

It's funny because strategy was something Cynthia started screwing up past the first half. Who in their right mind uses Stealth Rock knowing the remaining foes are resistant to it by a large margin? May as well just shout really loudly for a cheaper alternative.

Not official, just a prediction here. I'm guessing that for the aim to be a pokemon master episodes the dub will probably call it the very best like no one ever was series or leave the title as is.

im hoping they get the original singer from the first opening to do a remix for the final season

Personally I'd rather hear Jason do an (official) English cover of aim to be a pokemon master, but that's just a pipe dream since the people that do the dub hate being competent or giving fans what they want. Would probably be easier to invent multiverse travel and find an alternate universe where the dub is good instead.

Just in case ya'll don't know: 127's title references the phrase "Just a stone's throw from here" and 125's is based on the classic Snow White song "Whistle while you work". This title's meaning is to have more emphasis on fun, rather than deal with the monotony of working hard.

Shame Journeys really likes to exploit it in the most underwhelming way possible.

i honestly thought it was a play on the words from the song "Whistle while you twerk"

What's really grinding my gears now is the way the pokemon company is acting like we are getting the new anime the same time as Japan, with them revealing new character information
This, spoiling Ash's PWC win before it airs in the dub, and revealing the new series subbed which I don't believe the dub will air until 2024, all on their English social media. It boggles my mind as to why they know we resort to unauthorized streaming for the show's subbed version, yet are still refusing to put it on an official streaming site, yet still think they can advertise anything the show is currently putting out like it's being simulcasted.

I'm of 2 mindsets: 1) Them subbing these trailers could indicate a possible sub release to come for the actual episodes/building up the idea of a simulcast drop or 2) They're giving us this relayed information because of orders from the Japanese telling them about this new thing that's about to hit the airwaves soon/forcing the dub to show off this thing and then hide out til they start giving us word about there upcoming version later this year.

They're obviously not going to sub the anime to release it overseas at the same time it airs at Japan. Subbing somehow means they also have to import the music they don't like to import.

I guess it doesn't help much when they have to promote anime stuff into the games overseas, just as how they added Jessie and James to Pokemon Masters for the Coco movie...airing at Japan, while we were still waiting.
