Wasn't Duel Masters made by Wizards of the Coast?
I remember Yu-Gi-Oh was basically created by the creator/company/whatever made it. It was like a derivation of Magic the Gathering but simpler (but got more complicated anyways because the franchise went quite well card-wise).
Well, I don't recall the other shows during the Toonami lineup that has such a parody script so sometimes the random things they say I actually found funny.
It's ... extremely weird. I don't get the plot for the most part.
I only remember the very basics: elements, cards played upsidedown are mana, there are shields, blockers, attackers, and I don't know. Then there are shield triggers, and every monster has some mana cost and some attack power that's X000. They're not overly explanative on the rules, however I do think they covered it.
I preferred the random things that aren't American based, like the show ending in five seconds or the fadeout is going to occur or asking why the camera is so close.
Somehow the complete randomness of it that it contains makes it interesting, because it's so much different, despite having so many similar components to different things.
So um what IS on the original if so many jokes were parody scripts?
Apparently on last week's episode I liked the highly massive delay about running away from the falling tower and asking why he could not move or get out of the wayand ended up getting injured.
