Roleplay - Discussion Thread

[ Plot ]

Orre. A region surrounded by a huge desert, void of wild Pokemon and a true Pokemon League in place. Until now, of course. The region shifted drastically following the destruction and dismantling of Cipher by a young trainer many years ago, he rescued countless Pokemon from their grasp and shut them down from the inside out. Following his victory, as well as the destruction and transformation of all the shadow Pokemon that Cipher had created, the lowly community in Pyrite Town, lead by Nett and Secc, welcomed a new beginning into the region.

The Orre Colosseum was created, which was the foundation for the new Pokemon League. Trainers were hand selected from all corners of Orre in order to create a proper Pokemon League. The trainer who once saved the region was even granted a spot as Champion, to which he agreed wholeheartedly. Following his inclusion into the league, gym leaders were set in place all throughout the region as well; it was mostly, as Nett worded it, to attract tourists and all sorts of new trainers to the region. Many children, now nearing the proper and traditional age to start their Pokemon adventure are thrilled to find that Orre has finally set in place proper incentives for most trainers.

Professor Krane welcomed new trainers with open arms, offering them their first Pokemon if they had not been given one prior to meeting him. Thanks to the research offered in his lab, and the technological advancements and leaps they were making on a daily basis; the lab was finally able to find life in the wilds of Orre, and after a few years of researching and introducing new Pokemon into the region, Orre now had a large population of wild Pokemon that was seemingly expanding every single day. Being a desert, there was primarily ground, rock, and steel types within the wilds, as well as a few scattered poison types. However, through intervention and introduction, the Professor and his associates were able to bring forth many types of Pokemon to various points of the region.

So who are you in all this? You’re a teenager, someone who is starting their journey a little later than most who was either born in Orre, or was attracted to it thanks to all the new and interesting things added within it. You begin your adventure at the Pokemon HQ, with many other trainers alongside you. As the walks between each town and city are extremely long, you decide it would probably be a little wiser to travel in a group.

[ Location ]

the_orre_region_by_missionsunshine-d4pf2j7.png

The Orre region was the center for the XD and Colloseum Pokemon games for the Nintendo Gamecube, it’s a region predominatly in the desert with no wild Pokemon. (Until this roleplay of course.) Small revisions have been made in an attempt to make it easier to make a traditional trainer roleplay in a new and interesting location.

[ Gym Leaders ]

Unlike most regions, Orre doesn’t follow the traditional style of gym leaders. Their approach is to have four rather strong trainers set in various locations throughout the region, they may choose to challenge you to a battle, or send you on a quest for your badge. These people are as follows:

Mt. Battle (Fire Gym leader)
Phenec City (Water gym leader)
Outskirt Stand (Steel gym leader)
Agate Village (Grass gym leader)

[ Rules ]
  • Following all Serebii rules is probably important, just saying.
  • I’m gonna say this is around a PG sorta thing, there will be some battles and some darker moments but nothing too serious. It’s Pokemon after all.
  • Evolving your partner Pokemon needs to be approved by me!
  • You’re allowed a max of ONE character.
  • Be active? Please?
  • I allowed early reserves for some friends, but this rule applies to everyone. You have a week for your reserve, unless you speak to me PERSONALLY and get an extension.
[ Character Classes ]

Trainer: Typical, defeat all the gyms and become the best.
Perks: Starts with a Pokemon of their choice with two egg moves and is able to receive a starter from Professor Krane. Can level up Pokemon easier.
Breeder: Breed Pokemon, make eggs for profit.
Perks: Starts with a male and female Pokemon of the same egg group. Is able to obtain eggs easily.
Type Specialist: Focuses on a specific type, usually become gym leaders.
Perks: Starts with two Pokemon of their chosen type. Also start with a TM of their type, as they tend to only befriend Pokemon of their type.
Coordinator: Although there are no contests in Orre as of yet, Coordinators focus on making their Pokemon beautiful and happy in order to win contests. Many people refer to these types of trainers as “Poke Fans”
Perks: Start with two Pokemon that have max happiness. Can befriend wild Pokemon easier.

As stated, you do not have to be from Orre.

Name: Hana Yuuki
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Hometown: Fortree City, Hoenn
Trainer Type: Coordinator

Appearance:
W1spLLu.png

Hana is around average height for her age, or so she hopes considering that she's most definitely done growing. She's around 5'5" and weighs, well a healthy weight for her height and age; she'd prefer not to say what it is however. Haven't you heard it's rude to ask a girl her weight? She has pale white skin, blemish free as it's usually taken care of with makeup. Her face is rounded, making her look young, or so she's been told. Her eyes are an odd pinkish colour, odd, almost mutation like in a sense. Her hair is long and blonde, actually dyed from her natural colour of light brown, or should we say bleached? It's done neatly in two wavy ponytails to give her more of a cutesy appearance. For accessories she puts two small red bows on each of the ponytails.

For clothing, she likes to wear a little red and black dress. She feels that it makes her look cute and allows her to get what she wants more easily as people will always help a cute girl. To cover her shoulders in colder weather she wears a dark blue or purplish jacket with yellow buttons on either side and carries a brown bag usually slung over her right shoulder. She wears black leggings with little red dress shoes to accent her look even more.

Personality:
+ Positive: Adventurous, Motherly, Courageous, Energetic, Bubbly +

Hana has a spirit for adventure. From a young age the girl had a vivid imagination and would often go on grand scale adventures within her own backyard, figuratively; of course. As she got a bit older, she often actually went on adventures. Nothing extremely grand but often things that involved her sneaking out of her home and not returning for hours on end. She loves heights, often finding herself atop of high structures; googles bound on her face, wishing she could just take off and fly. She's a bit motherly at times, protective of those around her; specifically those to who she's in a position of higher authority. (Those younger than her). However, her motherly nature is most noted when in the presence of animals, those of whom when injured she takes upon herself to nurse back to health. She has the heart of a lion, scared of nothing and a protector to all. Her courage knows no bounds, which is both a positive aspect and a negative one. She's extremely bubbly and full of energy, almost hyperactive in a way and loves to talk. Sometimes about herself, or about her interests but she can certainly be a chatterbox if you get her going.

- Negative: Risk Taker, Boisterous, Loud, Hyperactive, Flirty -

Her adventurous spirit, as well as her courageous attitude often get her into trouble. She takes a few too many risks, ranging from running head on into danger, jumping in front of people before something bad happens, or diving off of large structures for her next rush of adrenaline. She's a bit of a boast, often bragging about things she's accomplished and being just a general loud mouth about her perceived accomplishments. Much to the dismay of others most of the time, she brags loudly during normal conversation during her fits of energy and restlessness. Actually, speaking of her hyperactivity; she's very high energy, often getting herself into a bit of trouble. It takes her a long time to wind down and she's been diagnosed with ADHD which she takes medication for but can tend to forget about. She's a bit of a flirt as well, flirting with people of the opposite gender in the hopes of winning them over or making them uncomfortable. She tends not to flirt with people of the same gender but she does hold some interest.

History: Hana was born to a fairly normal family of four, hailing from Fortree City in Hoenn. Her family could be described as middle class but at her young age she always assumed they were quite well off, as she usually got everything she could have ever wanted. Her two elder siblings, both boys by the names of Felix (five years older) and Tobias (three years older), were kind and loving to the young girl and extremely protective of her, especially within school bullying scenarios. Actually, she found herself becoming close with both of her older siblings, specifically Felix; who as she got older had a lot in common with. However, life doesn't always go exactly as planned. Despite loving their home in Hoenn, her father was offered a much better job within Gateon Port in Orre; and opted to move his whole family there. Hana was not extremely effected by the move, being only eight at the time and being able to start over rather quickly, but her brothers had much more trouble. Felix actually became somewhat depressed, being forced to move away from all his friends at the age of thirteen affected him extremely poorly and he didn't know what to do.

Their mother, feeling bad forcing their children to move and seeing Felix so down took it upon herself to get the kids a little more socialised. She made all three go out and make friends, which they all did quite easily. Hana especially, due to her bubbly and outgoing nature and her child-like wonder. She brought many of her new friends on adventures to distant lands within the comfort of her own yard. Her colourful imagination stayed with her all through elementary school and is still with her today while she sits in high school.

Disaster struck on her 15th birthday. Her older brother, Felix, who had been graduated for a few years and moved away to go to college had returned to celebrate with his sister. Their car was packed with her father driving, her mother in the passenger seat, and herself sandwiched between Tobias and Felix. But this is when disaster struck. On the way home, their car struck another who was running at high speeds. The impact killed everyone in the car.

Well, that's how it should've been.

Once emergency crews arrived, pulling the bodies from the car, Hana awoke; covered in her own blood and surrounded by her dead family. The emergency crews were baffled, as the girl had suffered a severe blow to the head and by all means should have been dead; actually they were quite sure the girl was dead when they attempted to extract her cold body from the car. But here she was, standing before them alive and well. Her only injuries could be described as emotional from seeing her whole family dead around her. After this ordeal, she was put into an orphanage by the crew that found her; knowing the girl had no where else to go and wanting to help her as much as they could. She was adopted by a close friend of the family who lived in Agate, and the girl suffered from constant hallucinations and nightmares from her family's death. She sometimes wishes she would've died with them... she doesn't know why she didn't.

While standing one the roof of her new home at the age of eighteen, she decided that she wanted to be with her family. She was fed up with everything, not knowing why she was the only one that got to survive. She took a running start and jumped, shutting her eyes so she wouldn't see any of it. However, she was shocked when she felt an arm stop her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw her adoptive father. There was a deep sadness in his eyes, and he begged her not to think so rashly next time. The trees were high here and she could hurt herself, or worse if she decided to jump. He gave her a letter, summoning her to Professor's Krane's lab.

"Maybe... maybe a fresh start will help." He prodded her to go ahead with it and she reluctantly agreed, heading out to the Pokemon HQ.

Other:
  • Wants cat Pokemon exclusively
  • She loves the colour orange
  • She hates talking about family

meowth-alola.gif

Name: Toulouse
Species: Alolan Meowth
Gender: Male
Personality: Prankster at heart, loves tormenting and pulling pranks on other Pokemon. This makes him... well not exactly well liked. He has a particular amount of trouble around female Pokemon, as he gets flustered.
History: Found injured and abandoned in Agate Village, Hana was quick to nurse the young cat back to proper health. They have been together ever since.

skitty.gif

Name: Marie
Species: Skitty
Gender: Female
Personality: Hana and Marie are almost like sisters and Marie will often attempt to mimic Hana's personality in a sense. If Hana is upset the cat will also be considerably upset, usually with no reason behind it. But usually the Skitty is quite bashful and outgoing, much like Hana.
History: Marie was given to Hana on the day they moved by her father, it was gifted to him by the professor of their region. Whom had found a curious egg and wanted a trainer to carry it to see what it hatched into. It hatched into a delightful pink cat whom Hana named Marie

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
Name: André Bellamy
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Hometown: Lumiose City, Kalos
Trainer Type: Fairy Type Specialist

mQUMwvp.png

Appearance: André is a tall and slender young man, standing at exactly six feet. Although he doesn't like to do so, he excersises a little bit so that he doesn't look like a fat slob, and is physically fit and toned as a result. He doesn't spend too much time in the sun, so he has a fair complexion. He keeps his blond hair short, and neatly styled at all times. There is never a hair out of place. André is a quintessential prettyboy. He has soft facial features, that some would consider feminine. He has a heart shaped face, a small nose, and large, baby blue, almond shaped eyes, that have fairly long eyelashes attached to them. He claims are his eyes are one of his best features. His mouth is usually in some kind of smile, which shows off his perfectly white teeth. Except for his hair and eyebrows, he has no hair on his upper body. He's also pierced his earlobes so he can wear earrings.

André is very much into fashion. He likes expensive designer clothing, and he usually dresses more formally than most people his age. Being famous, he has a certain reputation to uphold, so he makes sure to look his best wherever he goes. His fancy wardrobe mostly consists of button down dress shirts, vests, trousers, and dress shoes. He even wears a tie and blazer often. He always keeps his clothes neat and tidy. It is rare to see him in a simple T-shirt and jeans. His wardrobe contains a lot of different colors, but pink is by far his favorite. These days, André wears all pink from head to toe. His current outfit consists of a frilly pink dress shirt that fits him well. In place of a tie, he wears an elaborate necklace made from pink pearls. On top of that he wears a magenta trench coat, decorated with gold buttons. He also wears a pair of pink diamond cuff bracelets around both wrists (hidden by his trench coat sleeves, but you can see them when he raises his arms) and a diamond ring on a pink band on his right ring finger. On the bottom he wears tight magenta trousers held up by a fuchsia leather belt with a gold buckle. His choice of footwear include a pair of fuchsia dress shoes with bright pink spats on them. He accesorizes this with his signature pink beret on his head that has a magenta heart barette attached to it, and a pair of pink diamond stud earrings decorating his ears. He carries around a pink heart shaped messenger bag that has a magenta ribbon tied into a bow attached to it, and he wears a pair of pink cat's-eye sunglasses, with diamond studded rims.

André has developed a taste for jewels, diamonds, and gemstones. He will often be seen wearing various pieces of jewelry, regardless of whether it was intended for a man or not. He enjoys experimenting with fashion, and likes trying out many different things, including wearing women's clothing, wigs, and sometimes make-up. He feels women get nicer clothes than men do, and it lets him get away with wearing more jewelry than a man can. He can pass for a convincing woman when he's all made up. He often wears rose scented perfume.

Personality: André has tastes that are usually considered femmine. His favorite color is pink, and a lot of his things are pink and have hearts on them. He likes fashion, and he has a taste for cute things, and he's not really emabrrased by it. He really doesn't understand why so many boys have an issue with guys liking that kind of thing. He just guesses it's because they're insecure about their own masculinity. André is very obsessed with beauty and looking good. As a movie star, he feels he has to maintain a certain image, and because people don't want to be friends with an ugly person. He always makes sure he is perfectly groomed before leaving the house, and as such it takes him a while to get ready in the morning. Because he puts so much effort into looking good, he hates getting dirty, as it ruins all the work he put in.

He really values his relationships. He doesn't like to be alone, so he goes to great lengths to make friends and fans everywhere he goes. He often attends parties to meet new people. For the same reason, he also likes love and romance, and as such he comes across as a flirt. He openly hits on people (he's openly bisexual, so guys as well as girls) he considers to be attractive, though he is usually more polite about it then most guys, because he is genuinely looking for a relationship. He also likes pairing people up who he thinks would make a good couple, regardless of gender and orientation, and jokingly teasing the two involved.

He can be charming and manipulative when he wants to be. He uses his charm, charisma, and the occasional bribe to get what he wants from people. He knows just what to say to win people over, which sometimes helps him get his way in many situations. While he is polite and well-mannered, and typically acts friendly towards others, he treats people like objects to make himself feel better. He can be self-centered, and disregards how other people feel and what they need if it's not benefiting him somehow. It's not something he does consciously, it's just how he is. He was brought up believing that people's affections can be bought, and it's worked out for him so far.

Having become used to being given whatever he wants, André has been spoiled by wealth. He has an appreciation for the finer things in life. He wears expensive clothes, drives around in fancy cars, takes exotic vacations, and freely spends money like it grows on trees. He is very generous with his money, since he has so much of it, trading a a few dollars for something better is no problem. He's also found it much easier to woo people with money. He especially enjoys being famous, and being adored by many. He doesn't mind the the craziness that comes with being a cleberty either. Bad publicity is still publicity, as long as people are talking about you, then that's all that matters. André has always been accustomed to life on top. His worst fear is losing it all, whether that be ruining his movie career, or losing his hard earned friends.

History: Born in Lumiose City, Kalos, André's childhood is not what one would consider normal. His parents are both famous actors, and since his birth he's been in the lap of luxury. Due to his parents being famous actors, and therefore often busy, André rarely ever saw them. He was also homeschooled for a while, and was rarely able to leave the house. He felt lonely being in a big empty mansion with only caretakers that were too busy to keep the kid entertained. André's parents brought him expensive toys to make it up to him. For a while the shiny new toy would make him feel less lonely, but soon he would get bored of it, and the loneliness came back. He thought something better would solve the problem. When his parents announced a new trip, the young boy cried, and of course, his parents brought him a new, better, more expensive gift once they got back. The same thing happened, it would make him feel good for a while, but soon he'd get bored again. He would continue to ask and receive more and more expensive things throughout his childhood. It was great, and André grew accustomed to wealth and having anything he wanted on a whim. It was nice, but it still wasn't enough, the bad feelings still didn't go away.

André recieved his first Pokemon from his parents. He asked his parents for a sibling so he would have someone to play with. His parents laughed, and said they would work on it. Shortly after that, his parents brought home an adorable Cleffa that he named Jolie for their son, and the subject of wanting a sibling was dropped. André bonded with this Cleffa quickly due to their similar natures. She is the only gift his parents gave him that André hasn't grown tired of. She is the closest friend André has ever had.

At some point, his parents thought it was a good idea for him to start interacting with other kids, so they enrolled him in a private school. When André started going to school, and meeting other people his age, he got a lot of attention from them due to the fancy toys he had that they didn't have themselves, as well as being the son of two Movie Stars. At recess, every kid wanted to play with him. Being with others made him feel just as good, if not better, than opening up a brand new toy. It was then he thought that if new toys won't help, then maybe people will. He made lots and lots of friends, and André was happy for a while. Soon his family had to move away, and André was transferred to a new school. Having lost all the friends he made, André was upset for a while, but he soon worked to make new friends in this new place, and he was happy again. Then his parents moved once more, and the cycle continued. He was never truly content though, because he always had to leave all his friends behind.

At the age of thirteen, André's family moved to Virbank City, to further their careers. There, his parents encouraged their son to follow in their footsteps, and become an actor. They put him in acting classes, and used their connections to pull a few strings, and get him and his Cleffa a starring role in a major film. He didn't want to do this at first, but did it anyway to please his parents. While making the movie, he came to enjoy being on a movie set, and acting. When his first movie went to theaters, and became a box-office success, he enjoyed all the fame and attention it brought him. Or more specifically, he liked all the adoring fans. He also enjoyed the piles of money, expensive things, and all the glamour that being a movie star brings. He decided to pursue a film career, while also attending school when he wasn't filming. After doing that for a few years, he became as famous and successful as his parents. He is often chased by papparazzi and crazed fans, and he is also often the subject of ridiculous rumors in gossip magazines. Usually, they involve him spending absurd amounts of money on something lavish, being seen at a party, or romance rumors with various other celeberties. (Not long after hitting puberty, he discovered how attractive people were, and the joys of love. Although he's dated around a lot, he's never had a serious romantic relationship, much to his disappointment.) He doesn't mind all the craziness that much. As long as he has all his adoring fans, then all is well.

André has everything now, devoted fans, a luxurious life, and piles of money at his disposal. Despite this, he still isn't satisfied. He feels like something is missing, but he isn't sure what that is. He decided to take a break from making movies for a while to try out the whole Pokemon Trainer thing he never had a chance to do. Coincidentally, André had received a letter from someone named Professor Krane, inviting him to the Orre Region. He knew that this Professor likely sent this to him because he wanted a celebrity such as himself to be seen there in order to promote tourism in the region. Normally, André wouldn't be caught dead in that dry, desert, region. As far as he knew, there was nothing there he would be interested in. However, he decided to give it a shot, after reading that they had new and exciting things going on in order to bring in tourists. Besides, the Professor invited him personally, out of all the famous people he could have chosen. He couldn't turn down a request from a fan!

Other: He has pink roses to give to people that he seems to pull out of thin air. Don't ask how that works.

He has lots of fans, so he is often surrounded by screaming teenage girls (and some guys)

He speaks with a French Kalosian accent, and uses French words in his speech often, but is still able to speak English just fine.

Pokemon

173.gif

Name: Jolie
Species: Cleffa
Gender: Female

Personality: She is very much like André in a number of ways. She has starred in several movies with her trainer, and is also a celebrity herself. She likes being the center of attention. When no one is paying attention to her, she will do something cute, to get noticed. In general, she likes to dress up, and she enjoys using her cute looks to get what she wants. Aside from that, she is a friendly and playful Pokemon, who really loves how much her trainer spoils her rotten.

History: She was André's first Pokemon, given to him by his parents. He asked his parents for a sibling one day, and they gave him Jolie hoping to drop the subject.

Other: She wears a large red bow on top of her head, and a diamond studded collar around her neck.

175.gif

Name: Angelique
Species: Togepi
Gender: Female

Personality: Angelique is a recent addition to André's team. In fact, personality wise, she is still only a baby. As such, she is very naive, and innocent to how things work. She assumes that other Pokemon are friends that want to play with her, and is always happy to see them. Even if they're on opposing sides of the battlefield.

History: André spent a great deal of money buying a Togepi egg from a professional breeder before coming to Orre. Togepis are incredibly rare. Very few people have ever seen one in the wild outside of Pokemon Preserves like the Friend Safari and Pal Park, making them highly sought after. Knowing that, André knew he had to have one for himself. The egg hatched on the boat ride over to Orre.

Why not both?
Hm... I probably shouldn't be saying this considering how busy I am right now, but can I have a reserve? I'll see if I can get a semi-done WIP up over the weekends, and maybe finish it next week.

Edit: Here. Funny how both my starters are also not fire type...

WIP:

Name: Akane Arkwright
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Hometown: Castelia City
Trainer Type: Fire Type Specialist

Appearance:
Zo5q2zp.png

Akane is a rebel of sorts, and she certainly looks the part. Her spiky hair, which is tied into twintails, is a bright red colour and tends to stick out all over the place due to her habit of pulling on it, and the fact that she doesn’t care enough to comb it. While she is of slightly above average height, the slouched posture she tends to walk in makes her seem slightly shorter. Her skin is on the paler side for someone who spends as much time outside as she does, and it’s notably imperfect, with scars and other blemishes scattered here and there. She’s on the leaner side and quite fit, with a physique that can be described as attractive. Her eyes are an orange-ish colour.

She likes to dress rather scruffily, with clothes that are on the baggier side. She usually wears a loose, black shirt, and tends to leave several buttons undone so that it flaps slightly in the wind and gives her body some air, which she says helps with her chest pains. On colder days, she’d wear a black, hooded overcoat over it. She likes to wear long trousers that sort of pool around her ankles. Generally, her clothing is never symmetrical, and she prefers it not to be. She always has odd, red or orange patterns stitched into her clothes, and she tends to wear a glove or other accessory on one hand but not the other. Sometimes, she wears an extremely loose red tie.

Personality: Akane used to be a delinquent of sorts, and she still retains many attitudes and mannerisms that came with that sort of lifestyle. She’s rebellious and has no trouble challenging the authority of authority figures, preferring to do things her own way and only her own way. She can be very aggressive and confrontational when she’s annoyed, and isn’t afraid to get into conflicts with people she doesn’t like. She’s a stubborn person who takes a sort of pride in picking a stance and sticking to it, which could be a good thing but has done more harm than good in her past. Having grown up being bullied and ostracised, surrounded by seedy people, it isn’t much of a surprise that she’s quite cynical and spiteful of society in general.

She hates to be controlled and hates to be restricted, and doesn’t take pains to hide the fact that even if you tell her not to do something, she’ll do it anyway, sometimes just to spite you. She’s fiercely independent, and can get very touchy when people try to involve themselves in affairs she deems as ‘hers’. She also possesses a great thirst for adventure, and will often go walking in dangerous and unfamiliar places just for the heck of it, with bonus points if others have tried to warn her off it before.

While she has tried her best to dampen these traits, and they have faded slightly, they’re still a reasonably prominent part of her personality.

Generally, she appears cheerful and upbeat, never one to let it show when she was feeling down - although she does get cranky and irritable every now and then if she’s in a particularly bad mood. Partly, this is because she likes to be thought of as dependable and a ‘cool big sis’ sort of character, perhaps in an attempt to make up for all the harm she caused her family in the past. The other part is because she’s learnt over her ‘bad years’ never to reveal any signs of weakness to other people if you want to get by unharmed, a habit that hasn’t quite faded. Generally, she’s friendly enough when talked to, but she doesn’t exactly seek out contact with other people, being more comfortable with the loner lifestyle that she’s gotten used to. She’s unnaturally careful about stepping on the toes of people she likes and is close to, always putting others above herself not out of altruism but out of guilt. She’s almost incapable of turning people down when they ask her for help and never asks for or accepts help herself, and is prone to willingly put herself in harms way for other people with little regard for her own well-being.

History: Akane grew up in Castelia city, adopted alongside her brother Fenris when she was still young - a fact that people didn’t exactly make an effort to hide from her, and sometimes ridicule her for. Ever since she could move, she was always the ‘bad seed’ of the family - unruly, headstrong, and with an incredible ability to get into trouble. Her adopted mother died soon after she arrived in the family, so she grew up with only a father who was incredibly busy and rarely home, leaving her and her brother to face the pressures of their daily lives alone and undefended - and the fact that they were outsiders in the city and that they both had the sort of rebellious attitude that just invited people to bully them made sure that they had no shortage of pressures to face. So, from an early age, a healthy distrust and even spite of society was ingrained into them.

Left to her own devices, Akane quickly became a delinquent of sorts, hanging around with all sorts of sketchy people in the dark alleyways of the metropolis that was Castelia City. She never really committed any sort of serious crime, but smaller ones were fair game to her. She skipped school often and was known to get into fights, and she wasn’t above snatching a few small items from a shop when nobody was looking - or even at times where people were. She was also around when certain incidents resulting in serious damage or even death occured, but was never directly involved. Some people close to her suspected her of dealing in illegal drugs, although that was never proven. All the while, she was in a sort of relationship with a sketchy boy from a small fishing village, something that her father did not appreciate in the slightest.

Her father, a then-successful politician called Phenix Arkwright, was trying to run for the city’s council. He was doing relatively well, until the reveal of his daughter’s close relationships with the very gangs that he said he’d be trying to eradicate caused him to lose any traction he might have gained. People are easily judgemental that way. By then, they were still relatively well-off, but Phenix knew that his finances were worsening by the second as he tried to support two growing children while pouring money into campaigns, and that this position was unsustainable. He tried running for several different offices, but every single time, his daughter’s criminal history got in the way, and the contradiction with his own strict beliefs about law and order made going tough. But, despite his general coldness to matters surrounding family, he refused to disown his daughter despite it being suggested to him often - even by both of his children.

Eventually, as things began to grow out of hand, a misunderstanding lead to Akane getting caught up in a fight and hit by a Stoutland’s Giga Impact as she tried to get out, getting hurt really badly. The last of the family’s dwindling money went into trying to keep her alive, and while they succeeded, she was left with a chronic pain in her lungs that would resurface whenever she did anything that was too strenuous. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to deter her from returning to her old lifestyle - the only difference being that she took a little more care picking which fights to get involved in. By then, she was too set in her ways, too spiteful of her father trying to control her, and too contemptuous of the life lead by ’normal people’, who fooled themselves into thinking that they’re saints when they’re really demons that try and fail to bury their demonic urges.

By now, Phenix, feeling his age and knowing that it was hopeless, had given up on a career as a politician, instead turning to many more modest, much lower-paying jobs. Both Fenris and Akane were old enough then, and since one was a genius and the other never really did attend school anyways, he allowed them both to drop out, while he struggled to support his family. His health deteriorated rapidly, and he started smoking and drinking a tad bit too much for his weakening body.

Worried about Akane, and perhaps more about how much her activities were costing him, Phenix turned to her brother for help - Fenris, who was ‘bad’ in a whole different way. Cunning, manipulative, dismissive of his own wellbeing and blessed with an acute understanding of human nature, Fenris quickly managed to get himself involved in her affairs in an overly intrusive way that (quite intentionally) pissed off some of her less savoury acquaintances, personally orchestrating a whole series of events which eventually leading to him getting caught - and badly injured - in a back-alley brawl in which she would have a participant if Fenris hadn’t arranged for her then-boyfriend-in-all-but-name Kite to meet with her and drag her somewhere else. All of this, of course, was done behind her back and without her knowledge. At least, not until she received notice that her brother had been hospitalised.

When Fenris recovered, his left hand had been irreparably damaged. While he could still perform some basic movements with it, he couldn’t do anything requiring any fine motor skills, leading to him having to give up playing the guitar, which he had taken an interest in a few weeks prior to the incident (the interest was in fact feigned, designed to make it seem like he lost more than he had). Using her guilt over the incident as well as all the harm that her lifestyle had caused the family, Fenris managed to convince her to give up her current lifestyle for a more moral one. Forced finally to confront all the harm she has done, Akane came to believe, not entirely untruthfully, that she was to blame for everything - the quick and massive deterioration in their living conditions, her father’s health problems, her brother’s injuries.

The fact that Phenix, who was becoming increasingly frail and tired, suffered a serious stroke that he barely recovered from soon after Fenris’s ploy did nothing more than ram the point home.

Fenris, seeing an opportunity to get her away from her pain (and also give himself more room to manoeuvre as he looked for a job to lighten or maybe even completely remove his father’s burden while transferring it to himself), told her about the region of Orre, and the opportunities it presented, convincing her to go on a journey there and get all the self-hatred and nasty memories out of her system. With nothing better to do and recognising the fact that she was being a burden when she saw it, Akane bid her family and boyfriend farewell, and went on her way.

Other:
- She gets a pain in her chest whenever she does anything too physically stressful.
- She hates dogs.
- She hates eating mushrooms.
- Orange is her favourite colour.

History: The first Pokemon Akane ever met, Razor befriended her while she was still a child, after she found him fleeing from an angry Houndour and managed to protect him. Since then, they’ve been through thick and thin together.

fennekin.gif

Name: Rhuna

Metallic Wonder
Making a WIP for now then. Will see if i can work more on it later today.

Name: Isaac Brennan
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hometown: Fuchsia City, Kanto.
Trainer Type: Poison-Type Specialist
p1KSr27.png

Appearance: Isaac stands above average height with 191Cm, towering him above most others. He has a lean yet fit body due to his active lifestyle that keeps him in constant activity. He takes pride in his appearance, though he doesn't flaunt it. He maintains his fitness for himself, and no one else. His skin is fair, and has a tan due to many an outdoor activities, which makes his laid-back, bright blue eyes stand out further. His hair is light blonde in color, and kept at a short and stylish cut which requires little effort and attention. His face is overall quite fair and blemish-free, and he is considered handsome by other people.

For clothing, Isaac normally dress in practical outfits. Since is spends a majority of his time actively, he has a vast selection of training jerseys, workout outfits etc. He's not one for fashion, even though he knows how to dress for the occasion. His favorite colors are darker shades of lavender and green, and most of his outfits implement these colors in some way or the other. His understanding of Orre is that it is a very warm place, so he has decided to dress lightly. He wears his favorite pair of bicycle shorts which are dark lavender in color. He also wears a black sidecut tank that shows off his physique and his tattoo. He has a tattoo sleeve that goes down his right arm. This tattoo is pale lavender in color, and resembles the move Poison Gas, even though there is no deeper meaning behind it.

Personality: Isaac is a very easy-going and helpful guy that enjoys the company of others. Most people describe him as always having a smile on his face, and the personality to go with it, as he is very selfless. He is very perceptive, and is good at reading people. Due to this, he will more often than not give out a helping hand to those in need, regardless if they need it or not. Being the confidant of other peoples issues or insecurities, Isaac has developed quite the aptitude for giving helpful advice. Despite this though, he is very opinionated, and can come across as harsh and rude quite often, something he is unaware of himself despite people telling him. Overall, he is pretty laid back and carefree, not in any rush to get things done. He dislikes worrywarts, and those making bigger deal out of things than they need to be.

Isaac is very determined by nature, and never quits midway when he set his sights on something. Most people misunderstand his determined nature, as it contrasts to his chilled out attitude. Determination is more or less the only emotion he shows, as he doesn't wear his feelings on his sleeves. Despite his enjoyment of talking with others about their issues and insecurities, he dislikes it when the spotlight is turned around on himself. Often brushing other people off when they get too close and personal, he likes to maintain his friendship at a certain level of mutual convenience. He doesn't confide in people easily and prefers to tackle his own issues in his own way without pulling other people into it.

Socially, he is enjoyable to be around. His kind and helpful traits, along with his open-mindedness, makes him easy to get along with. He distances himself from drama, or people he deem childish for whatever reason. Being as straight forward as he is, he comes over as rude every now and then. Though he enjoys socializing, he dislikes being the center of attention. He has some modest tendencies when it comes to how he carries himself, and he dislikes to brag. He follows his own impulses, and his own tempo, and refuses to adapt his way of being to those around him. He is not without a plan, even though he might seem like it, and he rarely acts without some sort of meaning or reason.

Isaac is a very active person that spends most of his time outdoors. His favorite hobbies include swimming and running. However, his main hobby is cycling. He loves cycling across regions, and meet all kinda of people and pokemon along the way, not to mention the cuisine. Despite his healthy and active lifestyle, Isaac is very fond of exotic foods, and has the ability to eat whatever he wants without gaining absurd amounts of weight. He is also quite the chef himself, something his friends and family enjoys about him. He also has an affinity for cute things, although his taste is rather "unorthodox" to what is commonly referred to as cute. He has some slight stubborn tendencies every now and then, and he cares very little of other peoples opinon of him. He is the architect of his own life, and only he knows what he wants, or how he behaves.

History: Isaac is a normal young man, born in the normal town of Fuchsia City in the normal Kanto. His parents were fairly normal, his father being a Gym Trainer in the local gym, while his mother was a retired Pokemon nurse, staying at home in their normal house, doing normal household things. As one would expect, Life was fairly normal for Isaac. He was average in school, had many friends, and very few troubles during his upbringing. Only things he dislikes was always getting caught in other peoples drama when he was in high school, which prompted him to become a bit more secretive about his feelings.

From an early age, he didn't show promising results in whatever he did, nor was he particularly bad at anything. He was perfectly decent at more or less everything, which is nice in theory, but dreadfully boring in the long run. He was not ungrateful for living a simple and problem-free life, on the contrary. He was always grateful for what he had, even though all he had was boredom. He lacked some excitement in his life, which he eventually tried solving by picking up a variety of hobbies. His parents had always been up front that they wanted him to find his own path, and they would agree to whatever choice he made (unless he became a drug addict or dropped out of school). Great as this was, it didn't really help Isaac figuring out what he wanted to do with his life. Despite that, he never considered picking up the Pokemon training trend, as it just didn't appeal to him as much as he would want it to.

However, he eventually got to befriend a rather eccentric triathlete, who was traveling through town on his way to the cycling road nearby. Having nothing better to do that day, Isaac asked if he could tag along. Because it is perfectly normal for young kids to tag along with strangers on bicycles. His dad agreed, and came with them to the bridge. There, Isaac learned about the joyous wonders of bicycling, and heard tales of swimming and running as well. Even though he was fairly certain his new friend was exaggerating the topics to the skies and back, it sounded more interesting than literally anything else. using his own kind of embarassing, yet cute and somewhat llovable bicycle, he took the long road over the bridge, only to rush back down once he had gotten up. Feeling the wind in his face as he rushed down and when he flew several feet forward after an unlucky crash with a passerby Ponyta, Isaac loved it. He then decided to take on bicycling for a hobby, which he ended up enjoying.

A few years later, Isaac spent more or less all his time that wasn't spent in the classroom on the new Mach Bike that his dad had bought for him from Hoenn, or jogging alongside the beaches, or swimming in the ocean. He spent all his time outdoor, and he enjoyed it. At this point, he was also old enough to travel, which he did a lot. At this point in life though, it was time for Isaac to figure out what he wanted to do. He was fairly determined to be a professional triathlete, but both his parents urged him to take a break first, and see more of the world through adventuring with his two Pokemon. The concept of being a Pokemon trainer hadn't ever really sounded that amazing for him, but Isaac understood that it was a new experience, and he was all for new experiences even though he had already at some point visited most of every region around He found a brochure for the Orre at the docks of Vermillion City when he wa figuring out where he wanted to go. The deserty are of Orre sounded like a nice place to take Triffid and Mire, even though he doubted he would be able to use his bicycle effectively over there. Figuring out he could just jog everywhere instead, he grabbed Triffid and Mire and boarded the ship leaving for Orre.

Other:
- He is a big fan of Alolan cuisine, and has a big appetite.
- He is left-handed.
- He carries around a small camera whenever he travels.
- Besides cycling, Isaac enjoys swimming and jogging.
- He has great stamina.
- He has a girlfriend named Reina.

Pokemon:
069.gif

Name: Triffid
Species: Bellsprout
Gender: Male
Personality: Triffid is a very powerful Pokemon with surprising strength. He enjoys battling, and has a somewhat overconfident personality because of it. He is prone to attacking even when unprovoked, and always try to surpass his own limits. He have a habit of getting depressed if he lose, however, which he often express in a dramatic fashion. When not in battles, Triffid acts pretty calmly.
History: Isaac met Triffid during one of his earlier bikerides throughout the Cycling Road on Route 17. As he was 10 years at the time, his father thought it to be a good idea for him to catch it, as he showed interest in the Pokemon. After a short, somewhat unfair battle against his fathers Nidoking, the Bellsprout was caught

336.gif

Name: Lamia
Species: Seviper
Gender: Female
Personality:: Lamia differs from others of her species by being very benevolent in nature. She is kind and caring, and have a habit of slitherin herself around others in an act of kindness and love. Despite her very, very intimidating appearance, she is kind, and dislikes battling. She enjoys being by the sidelines, cheering others on. Despite that though, she is very powerful and ruthless in battles. She has a menazing appearance, and always have an evil grin on her face, which is her loving face. Only Isaac understands this.
History: Lamia was met by Isaac on a trip to Hoenn in an official triathlon competition he was attending. Cycling around Fortree City, the Pokemon launched itself into his view, knocking him off his bike. After a surprisingly brief battle with Triffid, Lamia allowed herself to be caught.

Oooooooh this looks fun! I'll put up a WIP for now.

Name: Rowena Witterick
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Hometown: Lilycove City, Hoenn
Trainer Type: Ghost-Type Specialist

Appearance: Rowena dresses as one who’s interested in Ghost-Types would expect: a long beige cloak that covers most of her body, and a beige witches’ hat. Both things look quite old and there is a patch sewn onto the hat, but it is the cloak that has received the most wear and tear, the ends of it being quite frayed and raggedy. Underneath these items Rowena wears standard clothing, usually opting for a white vest and camo-coloured shorts that reach her kneecaps. She also wears white trainers that are fit for walking around in rough terrain and she generally looks quite casual, though most people don’t see these things thanks to the cape. As a result Rowena always looks like she is gliding across the ground rather than walking. Perhaps the most intriguing thing she wears is a necklace that has an image of Giratina carved from silver with red eyes made from garnets. It is tied to a thread of black leather and Rowena never lets this pendant out of her sight.

Rowena is a little short for her age being 5’1” and can be mistaken for looking slightly younger than she actually is. She has pale skin and noticeable shadows under her dark-brown eyes, giving her a rather striking gaze that can be quite unnerving. Rowena generally keeps her charcoal-coloured hair quite long and untamed and will often put little trinkets and charms on the bangs at the sides of her ears, claiming that they’re there for protection and will ward off evil spirits. She has a lithe frame and this only helps in making her cape look much wider and spookier. Something else Rowena usually has on her possession are dried herbs, which are mostly used in her medicines and herbal teas, and she usually smells quite earthy as a result.

Personality: To say that Rowena is a little strange is an understatement. The impression she usually leaves on people who don’t know her personally could be described as “freaked out” at the least and “absolutely creepy” at the most.

Rowena has always been fascinated by the supernatural, and this has had a rather large influence on the way she views the world and everybody in it. She loves anything creepy and will often see the most frightening of things as cute and charming. She tends to daydream a lot, staring off into the distance as she plays around with the thoughts in her head, which can seem like she is getting possessed or going into some spiritual trance to onlookers. She can also appear to be muttering to what many people assume to be herself when actually she is usually talking to her pokemon. Rowena generally lacks understanding – particularly when it comes to dealing with someone who thinks Ghost-Types are everything but what she believes them to be, even getting personally offended when they tell her they don’t like them.

But underneath this odd set of quirks and strange choice of obsessions is someone who’s nothing more than eccentric. Rowena keeps the friends she does make close and tries her best to be a good friend in return. She’s very good at listening and will sit down and hear what other people have on their minds, even offering them advice on their problems regardless of weither it helps or not. She is also quite fond of herbal teas and will brew them whenever she gets the chance, believing them to be very beneficial for her health. Rowena often associates people she likes and dislikes with herbs and flowers, and will often give them nicknames referring to which flowers or herbs she thinks best represents them.

History: Rowena came from a working class background, born and raised in Lilycove and the only child in her family. Her mother was an artist who was constantly drawing and painting with the hopes of ending up having her works on display in the art gallery. Her father worked at the department store, often being tasked with serving customers and restocking shelves. From an early age Rowena knew she was different. She wasn’t like the other girls at school, who fawned over pokemon like Jigglypuff or Clefairy, but at the same time she wasn’t like the boys either, who often dreamt of owning pokemon like Charizard. She had no interest in training either, and while she wasn’t bullied at school, this led to a lot of Rowena’s time being spent reading books in the library.

It wouldn’t be until one fateful day when Rowena’s class was sent on a field trip to Mount Pyre to learn about how funerals for pokemon were handled. Most of Rowena’s schoolmates were freaked out by the chilling presence the cemetery had and the large amount of ghost pokemon in the area, but Rowena found it to be the most enjoyable thing she had ever experienced. She immediately began to study ghosts and found that she really liked the idea of owning a Ghost-Type for herself at some point in the future. Her parents, while trying their best to be supportive of their daughter’s new passion, were apprehensive. They knew that Ghost-Types were notorious for being tricky to train on top of being just downright creepy. They also knew of the stories of people who had scorned ghost pokemon and had paid dearly for it. So in an attempt to be responsible parents, the two of them tried to persuade Rowena to consider training other pokemon first so she had some experience under her belt.

Unfortunately for them, Rowena didn’t see her parents’ protectiveness the same way. The more they tried to address her about what she was interested in, the deeper Rowena buried herself in books about the type she so desperately wished to train. It was just before her 11th birthday that Rowena became aware of the Disciples of Giratina – a group of people who had aligned themselves with the renegade pokemon and were based in Lilycove. Intrigued, Rowena went to see them for herself and found that she fit right in – for most of these people shared the same interests that she did. It wasn’t long before she joined the group and was taught in their ways of herbal medicines and taking care of what the members of the group referred to as “Giratina’s Brood”, the ghost pokemon that many feared and even more people were put off by. They even made trips to Mount Pyre so that new members could get accustomed to being close to ghost-types, and it was on one of these trips that Rowena encountered and caught her Duskull, Archimedes.

Of course, her parents eventually found out about this, and decided that the fascination with ghosts had to stop before Rowena ended up hurting herself. They confronted Rowena about her obsessions and the result ended up being the worst argument Rowena had ever gotten into with her parents. In the aftermath and spurred by emotion, Rowena gathered up her belongings and left with the intent of never returning home. Of course, she went to see her friends at the cult’s headquarters, and their leader being much older and wiser than her, suggested that maybe it would be a good idea for her to go on a pokemon journey. That way she could be away from her parents like she wanted, and would be given enough time to sort things out with her parents without actually talking to them in person. But at the same time her parents could be shown that she was being a responsible person. He showed her details on the Orre region and the new projects they had going on, and intrigued, Rowena accepted the idea of starting a new life in another place where she was free to train whatever she wanted.

Other:

* Rowena refers to herself as a “Hex Maniac”, despite being classified as a Ghost-Type specialist.

* She likes to refer to her pokemon as her children.

* Her relationship with her parents is touchy at the moment. She only talks to them when she has to.

Pokemon

355.gif

Name: Archimedes
Species: Duskull
Gender: Male
Personality: Calm natured – Archimedes is slow to anger and doesn’t appear to speak much to anybody other than Rowena. He is generally level-headed in battle and is very perceptive of other people and their pokemon. As with most of his species Archimedes has a habit of giggling whenever he hears an upset or scared child. It’s something he doesn’t like very much – especially when it results in people giving Rowena odd looks, considering he knows what she’s like underneath her quirks.
History: Archimedes encountered Rowena on Mount Pyre – it was actually a surprise visit her friends took her on for her 14th birthday, in which they gave her the chance to catch a ghost pokemon for herself. Archimedes was her first encounter, and with the aid of her friends, the Duskull was eventually caught. His initial resent faded as the two of them got to know each other and has since become her loyalist pokemon.

mimikyu.gif

Name: Phasma
Species: Mimikyu
Gender: Male
Personality: Timid natured – Phasma is shy – very shy, and will often hide behind Rowena’s cape if she is with a large group of people. He’s incredibly self-conscious about his disguise and doesn’t like having to battle because he’s terrified that it will fall off or get destroyed. When calmed Phasma is thoughtful and careful about the things he does. His manners are impeccable and he tries his best to get along with other pokemon and their trainers. He especially likes sweet things, and if someone were to offer something like a pastry to him, it would be relatively easy to befriend him.
History: Phasma and Rowena crossed paths while Rowena was sorting out her trip to Orre. It started when Phasma was mistaken as a Pikachu by someone outside the cult headquarters and while attempting to catch him, accidentally pulled off part of his disguise and was horrified by his appearance. The Mimikyu fled into the back of HQ, and it was here that Rowena encountered him after sensing a new presence in the building. After some coaxing (and offering him some food), Rowena and Archimedes were able to convince Phasma to join Rowena’s team. She has since considered Phasma a good omen from Giratina for sending a ghost type to her before her journey.

(Heh, looks like Rowena's the odd one out so far when it comes to tragic backstories. :p)

WIP. XD I might get this done over the weekend. XD

Name: Jessalyn MacDougall (Jessie)

Age: 19 (December 1)

Gender: Female

Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto

Trainer Type: Dark-Type Specialist

Appearance:
6Nt9j7G.png

Jessalyn is a tall, dark beauty. She is 6'1" tall, with a lean, toned, long-legged body and a light skin tone. Her long raven hair is slightly wavy and goes down to her waist, though it is usually styled in either a messy, loose braid or in a simple, unkempt ponytail, with long bangs falling to the left of her face. Her facial features are strong and can be described as "dramatic", with dark, arched brows, a straight nose, an angular face shape and striking emerald-colored eyes framed with long, dark lashes often coated in black mascara - one of the few types of makeup she chooses to wear aside from black eyeshadow and black eyeliner. Her teeth are slightly yellow, as she smokes on occasion. Her breasts are very large and prominent - and she isn't shy about them either. Jessalyn's navel is pierced and decorated with a gunmetal-colored skull stud. Her other piercings include three on each ear, decorated with dark cross-shaped studs and dark hoops, and one on her left nostril, adorned with a gunmetal-colored hoop. She also has a tattoo of a tribal-style wolf on her upper-left arm. Her hands and forearms have scars of varying lengths, caused by a number of accidents in the laboratory assisting in dangerous experiments while she was still under Team Rocket.

Jessalyn is one who dislikes particularly girly or classy clothing, as well as light colors. She loves black, and enjoys wearing dark styles. Her most common outfit is a black hooded zip-up vest decorated with a skeleton motif in dark gray, the front of hood having a skull print, and the torso part having a ribcage print. Under this, she wears a black low-cut tank torn above her navel. She also wears short black denim shorts with frayed edges, decorated with a black belt studded with gunmetal spikes. For shoes, she wear black lace-up combat boots over thigh-high black stockings with rips. She wears black leather fingerless gloves and two necklaces, one choker-style and studded, the other longer with a black skull pendant. She also often wears a black newsboy hat with a Celtic Cross pin on her head.

Personality: Jessalyn is someone who's difficult to get to know, and her attitude can be described as prickly and troubled. Not the most sociable person, she finds it difficult to trust people and warm up to them. At times, she even pushes them away. She has a pretty good reason for being pessimistic however, as she's lived most of her life around people most would not consider as trustworthy. She's haunted by her past as a Team Rocket grunt under her own caretaker, and as a result wants to fix things as much as possible and cut off any ties she might have with the organization, and by extension, Johto as well. It's obvious that she wants a normal life, one free of abuse and threats, and tries her best to turn back on the things she regrets doing. She is however a free-spirited, rebellious and headstrong person by nature, not one who enjoys being bound by strict rules, especially rules that she doesn't agree with, and prefers to do things according to her own set of principles on what she thinks is right. She's not a fan of institutions in general, and relies on her herself to choose her own path, and for her, what's right is what works best and most effectively. She doesn't want to be anyone's tool, and lashes out against those whom she perceives will try to use her. She's the opposite of an idealist, preferring to be practical in her approach towards many things, and would willingly throw propriety out of the window any day, especially if it gets the job done. She's an independent girl who would much rather rely on herself to take care of and fix things rather than choose to lean on others, evidently seen in how she tried to ensure her brother's safety. Rather than choosing to deal with the authorities who had the inclination to turn a blind eye towards Team Rocket's activities, she took matters into her own hands and earned money by hustling at pool, participating in motorcycle races, working as a bartender and using her expertise at card games, just so that she could make sure that her brother really was safe. Her heart is in the right place most of the time, it's just that the methods she prefers and her way of thinking can sometimes make her seem uncaring and cold.

Jessalyn is not what one considers feminine, and is actually the farthest thing from a girly-girl, with boyish and far-from-refined interests. She's streetwise, reckless and far from proper. For her, trying to be a "lady" would only cause her suffering and headaches, hence, she chooses to just be herself, without compromising anything. She's not affected by what others think about her tendencies, and makes no effort to please. She swears a lot and isn't ashamed about it. She's also especially skilled at pool and many card games, and is not fazed by opponents bigger than her, being trained at fighting (the one thing she appreciates from being trained as a grunt) and is naturally strong (her punch is particularly painful) herself. She's one to take her bets seriously, and hates it when people try to cheat her when for her "a deal's a deal", usually resorting to violent methods if people don't cooperate. She does think that "might makes right" applies in dealing with and fixing a lot of situations and acts on this a lot, which can get her into trouble at times. She's a risk-taker by nature, preferring to take her chances than do nothing. A brave and fearless girl, she believes in her own capabilities, as mentioned above, and never backs down from a challenge. Under this however, she is still a caring person, and has a certain way of looking out for people that isn't exactly the softest. She might be difficult to get along with and is often suspicious of others due to her trust issues stemming from her youth, but once she opens up and learns to trust, she's someone you'd be proud of to be your friend. She helps her friends in her own way, protects them the best she could, and stands up for them without hesitation. She might be intimidating, cynical and difficult, yet she does have a tender, if hardened, heart somewhere in there. She might be moody and easily angered, but she definitely has a better side, though it's rarely seen and manifests in less-than-traditionally-gentle ways. In terms of romance, she's pretty reluctant to get into a relationship due to her previous experiences with Erik, and would like to think that she shouldn't be falling in love. Like every normal person though, she has emotions, and is not immune to perhaps falling for someone. Expect her to deny it a lot when it happens, though.

Jessalyn is surprisingly a great cook, and knows how to utilize even the oddest ingredients in creating delicious meals, a skill she learned from one of her roommates. Though she might not look it, she has a lovely soprano singing voice, something she is particularly ashamed of because of how Erik used to praise her for it, and would coerce her to sing for him. She never reveals this particular talent of hers, and prefers that nobody knows about it, as said skill is very contrary to how she is, and also reminds her too much of Erik (and her time as his "dark siren"). Her taste is dark, enjoying things such as loud, rough death metal music, dark clothing, Dark Pokemon and macabre motifs. She enjoys many different types of alcohol (being a former bartender herself), and has an expectedly high tolerance level.

History: Jessalyn's life can be described as rather complicated. The oldest child of impoverished parents from Goldenrod City, her parents had a difficult time supporting their children and were often between jobs. In order to take care of her and her younger brother Alastair, they took on grunt jobs in Team Rocket, and left them in the care of Erik, their superior, who was an ugly, scarred man and one of the most prolific scientist admins in the organization. Jessie and her brother thus, grew up in comfort for the first few years of their lives. Erik initially seemed to be a doting father figure, taking care of them in an uncharacteristically tender manner that seemed so opposite his face and his notorious reputation within Team Rocket, even allowing their real parents to visit them at times. The girl grew up to be strong-willed, stubborn and sociable, enjoying roughhousing and playing with the other kids of Team Rocket members, thinking at that time, that everything was going to be alright, and life was going to be normal for her. Erik was particularly doting towards her, often praising her for her looks, her stubbornness, her skill at pool (he was a very good player and taught her) and the lovely voice she was revealed to have after he caught her singing one of the songs he often listened to. Sometimes, he wished for her to be more feminine and to be less rough around the other Team Rocket kids, but he felt that it was a small price to pay for taking in someone who could potentially be an asset to Team Rocket, though neither Jessie nor Alastair knew about his plans.

When Jessie turned eleven, an accident in the Lake of Rage under mysterious circumstances killed her parents and left her and Alastair orphaned. Erik, then, became their sole guardian. While at first, he still remained his normal self, it only took a short time for him to start showing his admin side around the two, especially Jessie. It started with small, menial tasks, but it gradually escalated into something that rang warning bells in the young girl's head. Suddenly, messages had to be delivered to other places in Kanto and Johto known for being Team Rocket hotspots, mysterious packages had to be smuggled past high-security places, and the girl started to learn how to do things such as create small explosives and fight. Now fighting, she took to very quickly and admittedly loved, as she was already a rough-and-tumble child to begin with, but she did not enjoy being ordered around doing the other things expected of her. It did hot help that Erik had developed a particularly strange interest on Jessie, starting to make subtle advances on the girl, which she at first did not recognize. After all, how could the man with the face of a monster but with a heart that proved otherwise go against the nature Jessie knew him to have? For all the time she knew him, she always pitied him, and thought she saw past his scarred face. It did not take long for her to lose her naivety, however, and see his actions for what they were. Suddenly, she realized that life wasn't going to do her any favors after all. Fearing that her brother was soon to foliow, she struck a deal with the man she once saw as her father. She was going to do whatever he asked for, as long as he would never, ever involve Alastair in any way. This turned out to be a double-edged sword, as yes, Alastair was kept out of things, but Jessie virtually became Erik's tool as a result.

At thirteen, she embarked on her first sabotage mission and at fourteen, she was made to put on her first Grunt uniform, stole her first haul of Pokemon and started working as a laboratory assistant to Erik and other admins, who often made her do dangerous things. What made matters worse, Erik started making actual moves on her when she was fifteen, using tender methods and better treatment in order to lure her. Sad to say, it worked sometimes, and Jessie found herself both hating Erik for forcing her into becoming his puppet, and yearning for his tenderness and affection, as said gentleness extended both to her and Alastair. At first, she would allow herself to accept his hugs, kisses and touches, sleep with him in his room and would oblige to sing for him when he asked, if only to keep Alastair in the dark, and because part of her still pitied him, and knew the loneliness he felt due to his bad reputation and ugly face - her actions caused her to be notorious throughout the Kanto and Johto factions of Team Rocket as Erik's alleged lover. Being a self-aware individual, however, it only some time for her to be disgusted with herself as to how low she had gone, and began rebelling. She started resisting duties actively, and moved out of Erik's house, choosing to stay in a small studio apartment and using her more mature looks to take a job at a local pub as a bartender. Erik knew exactly how to make his little rebel comply however, and started to threaten Jessie using Alastair, bringing up her promise. He knew that she cared for her younger brother very much, and for a while, it forced Jessie to cooperate, if only to make sure her brother was never involved. She did not want to give Erik an easy time however, and purposely made things more difficult for him, to the point that other grunts had to take her from her apartment and bring her to Erik when she was needed, often using various means such as drugging her drinks while she was out at work, or using Erik's Hypno and Malamar to take care of things when needed. She did not want to willingly keep him company at night, sing for him, kiss him or feel his touch any longer, and tried to push away any lingering thoughts of longing she might have had. She had a life, she had a responsibility and she was going to make sure that whatever bravery and resourcefulness she had was going to see her through - Erik was not good for her, and whatever she might have felt for him - pity, love, sympathy, whatever - was a liability.

Resolving to free herself and her brother, Jessie worked twice as hard so that she could have a chance at a normal life. She wasn't going to rely on the authorities, knowing them to be lazy at times, and who often turned a blind eye to Rocket's activities. Instead, she took longer shifts at the bar, learned some card games from her roommate, and used these newfound skills as well as her talent for pool to hustle and gamble in order to earn some more money, enough for her to be independent and for her to send Alastair away to Unova, having gotten in touch with her mother's younger sister, who lived there. Doing so wasn't easy, as she had to keep her activities away from Erik's knowledge, which was not always simple, especially when she began to enjoy said things, appreciating the freedom they gave her, and the way said activities allowed her to be her daring, confident self. It was also at this time that she decided she had enough of being dependent on Rocket and resolved to get a Pokemon of her own. Said Pokemon came in the form of Raoul, a very small Houndour whom seventeen-year-old Jessie won from her first game. She was immediately taken by his strong, determined personality despite his small size and was immediately reminded of her own shortcomings - how can something so small be so strong and could look after himself, while she, tall and imposing, could not even take care of her own issues?

It took a year of working twelve-hour shifts, dealing with Erik against her better nature and lingering feelings, hustling and underground Pokemon battles with Raoul before she earned enough to buy herself a motorcycle - to assert her independence and bring in another source of income in the form of motorcycle racing, and another year before she gathered a good amount of money for Alastair, enough to send him to Unova and for him to take up more art lessons to nurture his talent for painting, hoping that he would indeed become the artist he aspired to be. One day, when she was nineteen, she took Alastair out with Erik's permission, under the guise of it being a simple trip to the department store. Instead, she took him to Olivine City, having purchased a ship ticket for him that will take him to Castelia City, and parted ways with him. Also resolving never to look back, she left Goldenrod and headed for Kanto before anyone from Rocket could notice her disappearance, her heart aching as she did, though she did not know how much of it she could attribute to Alastair's departure. She then fled from there to Unova, certain that Rocket would not find her worth their time.

Now on her own, Jessie finally has her freedom, something she was deprived of during her stay in Team Rocket. Knowing that she could now choose what she wanted to do, she decided to become a specialist, to become strong and to forge her own path of success, said success she wanted to attribute solely to herself. The Dark-type was what she was drawn to, due to its intrigue and mystery, and partially because of the misconceptions surrounding it. Just shortly after obtaining her Trainer's license, she caught her second Pokemon, and just days later, the Professor called her back, telling her that she had something that she might be interested in. Jessie returned to the laboratory, and the Professor handed her a letter. It was from another far-off region, Orre, and it was inviting her to go and train there. The Professor admitted that she had put in Jessie's name for consideration on a whim. Jessie, however, wasn't too sure at that moment yet. She had just arrived in Unova after all, and only just began her journey. She didn't even have badges! However, a broadcast she watched at a Castelia pub however, featuring none other than Erik mentioning that he was going to send some men to Unova, not to initiate hostilities but to retrieve something important to him, changed her mind. The man having lost his so-called "dark siren", is still actively searching for her and isn't the most subtle about it, partly out of a need to put Jessie in her place and partly because of his own feelings, thinking that Jessie would eventually come around.

She knew right then and there that she had to leave for Orre and start her journey there if she wanted to stay free. Besides, she had never been to a real desert yet and thought that perhaps, it was a great opportunity for an adventure without having to look over her shoulder all the time.

Other:
- Loves dogs, is not a cat person.
- While she may not admit it, she's absolutely unbearable to be around when faced with a Hypno or a Malamar, stemming from her bad experiences with Erik's coercion methods.
- She's a soprano, not an alto. Which makes her even more ashamed of her singing voice.
- Her favorite color is obviously black.
- If the Pokemon world were the real world, she's the equivalent of a lovely, tough Irish lass.

Pokemon
houndour.gif

Name: Raoul
Species: Houndour
Gender: Male
Personality: Raoul, despite his small size, is far from the "adorably cute" Pokemon one might presume him to be. Rather, he has a somewhat standoffish demeanor towards strangers that might intimidate some - a trait he picked up from his experiences around Team Rocket, in order to protect himself. While he isn't the most affectionate Pokemon (except towards Jessie - he's very openly caring around her), his dark appearance belies a certain strength, bravery, and a heart that's in the right place. He has a certain tendency to know what's bothering someone he cares for and tries to understand the best he could. Like Jessie, his methods aren't the best, and he can be a bit too aggressive when getting his point across, but his intentions are far from evil and is well-meaning most of the time. In battle, he is unyielding and difficult to intimidate - he never gives up and actually revels in being able to face off against much larger Pokemon. He has a naughtier, playful side though, and is not opposed to playing around and pulling pranks (more likely around Jessie), as long as he's comfortable around whoever's watching. He knows he's a runt, and has a Napoleon complex, hating it when anyone brings up his size (except for his owner) and prides in the fact that his demeanor is pretty much opposite to what's expected from someone so small…to the point that he gets embarrassed about his more playful side at times. (Lonely Nature)
History: Jessie won this undersized Houndour at a pool game when she was seventeen. She loved him the instant she laid her eyes on him, admiring how strong he was despite his tiny size. Raoul was in fact, her one real friend for quite some time.

deino.gif

Name: Nevermore
Species: Deino
Gender: Male
Personality: Nevermore is outgoing, playful and easily excited. He enjoys approaching, even if he can hardly see, and thus, bumps into others easily, making him quite the goof. Unlike Raoul, Nevermore is very affectionate, however he also doesn't know his own strength outside of battle, often hurting people and biting them hard when he just intends to nuzzle them. His upbeat attitude doesn't mean that he doesn't battle well, however...in fact, he's ferocious, and thus, not to be underestimated! It only takes very little to provoke Nevermore to fight, in fact. Just like he loves people, he enjoys physical affection as well, and often knows just the way to get Jessie to show her sweeter side...whenever they're alone, that is. (Naughty Nature)
History: Jessie caught this rogue Deino when accompanying one of her gambling buddies, Patrick, to Victory Road in order to collect their winnings from a particularly fussy and demanding trainer. While Patrick, Jessie and said trainer were settling things in half-darkness of one of the caves, a Pokemon suddenly attacked Raoul, and a violent tangle ensued. When Jessie came back from the dealing, it was only then that she witnessed the brawl between the laughing blind dragon and the tiny, furious puppy. It was one of the rare sights that made her truly laugh, and she ended up catching the Deino.

@Everyone Above: I didn't expect this to get so much attention. I'm extending reserves by two spots to fit everyone who has asked. However this means that reserves are now closed. Everyone who posted has a week from now to finish. Everyone who posted before this is reserved for now.

@Tangeh: Battles will indeed be double battles.

@People who have finished SUs: I'll look in a little bit, thanks.

Aura Of Twilight

Forever Clueless
Name: Astrea Lockhart

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Hometown: Verdanturf Town

Trainer Type: Trainer

ckbGB78.png

Appearance:

Standing at a height of around 5'1, Astrea is a petite girl weighing a mere 105 pounds at best, who, because of her small size and short stature will often be seen as younger than she actually is. She’s skinny as a twig, not fit yet at the same time not out of shape either, having lived a rather idyllic life. Her skin is white and fair, clear of makeup, but because of her Scyther’s, Rosie, rowdiness and urges to be affectionate, she has many cuts and bruises all over her body, especially her arms, from the pokemon’s sharp scythes and tackles. Nothing too deep as she wears a thick layer of clothing, so she doesn’t feel a lot of pain most times unless someone puts peroxide on her wounds. To put it simply she looks like she’s been through a war zone. It doesn’t bother her that much however. Being a young teen, she still has some baby fat, but her face is gradually flattening out, showing the promise of being quite the beauty when she gets older. Astrea’s eyes are large, expressive, showing her emotions quite easily even when she tries to hide them, and are violet in color, fitting strangely with her messy yellow locks. They are full of innocence, further showing her youth and lack of experience with life, in most cases. Her gold hued hair which she inherited from her mother cascades to the ground when it’s not in a ponytail but it goes past her behind when it is, tickling the back of her legs. No matter how much she combs it, it continues to stick up in places. Furthermore, one thing you can say about her for certain is that she loves the color purple. Astrea wears a light purple plush top with short sleeves and a bit of mesh on both the bottom and top of the blouse. A necklace she got from her mother is wrapped around her neck, a pendant hanging from the silver beads. On top of those is a simple black jacket with long sleeves which cover her cut up arms completely, hiding them from sight, and a diagonal zipper on the front. It’s torn in places, and obviously has some wear and tear from her years of wearing it and her not growing that much. She also, being the silly inexperienced youth that she is that hasn’t traveled very far out of her hometown, wears a dark purple skirt set in a plaid pattern which reaches just inches past her knees. Dark brown boots cover her feet, inching upwards and stopping some inches from her knees, showing white skin.

Personality: Astrea, as her name’s meaning implies, can have her personality summed up in one word: innocent.

Being a very open and honest person, she’s horrible at picking up some social cues, namely sarcasm and acting “formal” in that she should just keep her mouth shut to save her from embarrassment. She realizes this, which is why its awkward for her to speak to people she doesn’t know. She’s rather shy and quiet to strangers, a bit introverted when one first speaks to her, but kind nonetheless. For this reason she is horrible at pulling speeches out of thin air and giving impromptu speeches, but she tries when asked, even though half the time they turn out cheesy. She’s a bit unsure of herself, so expect a lot of “um” and “ah” and pauses when she speaks.

Yet there is something strangely charismatic about her because of this even though she sometimes has trouble making friends because of her hesitance at first. Maybe it’s the fact that she’s just the outer persona of what many see themselves as inwardly. Maybe it’s just the way she carries herself: unsure of what the heck she’s doing, yet soldiers on. Regardless, she has a way of attracting people with her innocent honesty. She’s not harsh or bitter usually, but gentle and perhaps a bit naïve in the way she perceives the world, having been relatively sheltered growing up and having read tons of books about heroines and heroes of stories standing tall and defeating the big bad, with the help of friends of course, and traveling with pokemon is general. She yearns to go on adventures, and sees it nothing short of romantic and exciting to finally be doing so. Maybe she’ll get to be a heroine for once. She’ll finally be living out those stories she has heard so much about! In many aspects, she’s like the little sister you never had once you get to know her: cute, a tad immature, and annoyingly optimistic. She can be that little engergizer bunny that just doesn’t know when to quit, to those she knows and doesn’t know.

Even though she’s very “little sister”-y, she doesn’t like to complain and is quite the trooper when it comes to being out of her element. She’s considerate and empathetic of others, always putting their needs first before her own. She’s also forgiving, perhaps too forgiving, so she’s easy to take advantage of. She yearns to please others, make them happy. She tries to see the best out of everyone she meets and is somewhat gullible because of that. She can be very hard on herself as well and bottle things that are bothering her until she bursts and say things she automatically regrets. Like everyone, she has her faults and is far from perfect. When it comes to pokemon battling she's still learning and is prone to making mistakes. She's also a bit of a klutz when nervous. Her luck, on a scale from one to ten, is about a negative one.

History: Matthew and Eliza were college sweethearts, both excellent scientists in their respective fields, mechanical engineering and rocket science. They met early on while going to Mossdeep University at a party and became boyfriend and girlfriend soon afterwards, Matthew’s quirky nature going well with Eliza’s bubbliness. Right after graduating, the two were wed and their love eventually resulted in the birth of a baby girl which they named Astrea. For a few years the family of three had happy lives, Matthew getting a job at the research park of the university he went to school at and Eliza obtaining one at the Mossdeep space center. They lived in a small but fancy house, as the couple didn’t plan on having any more children. Then tragedy struck when Eliza was killed during an experiment gone wrong while working. Having only been four years of age at the time, Astrea didn’t quite understand when her daddy told her with tears in his eyes that mommy wouldn’t be coming home, never would be, only that looking at him made her tummy ache. When she asked Matthew why, her father’s only reply was in a pained voice, “There was an accident.”

An accident. Nothing more detailed at she was just a child and her father didn’t want to scar her. And just like that the four year old’s life took a nasty turn. No longer would Eliza read her stories at bedtime. No longer would her mother be there to make her laugh when she got an owie. No longer would she hear her mother’s voice in the mornings when she was stirring from a night of sleep and got her hair brushed by the woman’s gentle hands. For a time, Astrea was in a state of shock and denial…as much as someone her age can be. At first she kept expecting her mother to walk through the door at any moment with a smile on her face, telling Astrea she was okay and that Matthew was just being silly, but as the months passed, that became a pipe dream. Realizing that, the girl cried a lot, and although Matthew tried to comfort her he was dealing with his own problems, namely depression which got worse every day until he could barely get out bed. He barely took care of himself, and more than once Astrea spent the days hungry when she wasn’t at the baby sitter, whom quickly noticed that the girl was unhealthily skinny and called the CPS on her father. The only other relative in the region was her uncle, Eliza’s brother whose name was Kyle, but because the nature of his career as a very active police officer, he was unable to provide a home for the girl. So it was she was placed in foster care until an arrangement could be put in place, all the while Matthew stewing in self-pity and regret. It took a unannounced and sudden visit from a ticked off Kyle and a few choice words before he started to finally…wake up.

About half a year passed before he was able become a suitable parent again, and by the time he was able to take Astrea out of foster care, the girl had changed. She was very very quiet, not her usual friendly self, not talking very much, and was distant from him, even angry, as was to be expected. Wanting to make a fresh start and hopefully repair the bridges between daughter and Father, Matthew moved them to Verdanturf where he worked for the Devon Corporation as an smalltime inventor and developer. She and he did not see eye to eye at first, because she felt abandoned, but her father worked hard to regain her trust. And besides that, it was in her nature to forgive.

Astrea was 6 when her father finally married again, this time to one of her teachers from school who had a 11 year old son of her own called Caleb. Naturally, it took time for Astrea to adapt to becoming a little sister, as she had until that time been raised as an only child outside of the foster care system. She experienced the usually myriad of emotions with this drastic change, those being, jealousy, hurt, and even loneliness, as her father’s attention was directed elsewhere. But due to Caleb’s friendly and easygoing personality she adjusted accordingly and began to grow fond of him. The two grew close. Another four years passed, and during that time Astrea grew to be enamored with the idea of seeing different pokemon and the world in general. When Astrea turned 10, she thought she was going to go on a journey like a lot of other kids her age, but that happened to not be the case. Her parents, her father and step-mother, were adamant that she wait a few more years at least, saying that she was just too young and inexperienced with how things worked in the world. Astrea was furious, having been all prepared to go get her starter pokemon and finally set out like her brother. Caleb had begun his pokemon journey a little later than most, and hearing stories from him caused her to grow more excited to begin her own. She worked hard as student, wanting to get good grades so she too could start her own when the time came. Life went on as normal and then her life took another curveball as her father got a new job, this time at a place called the Pokemon HQ led by professor Krane in the Orre region. She wanted to stay in Hoenn, but as she was just a few months shy of turning 15, which was when her parents would let her officially become a trainer because they were surprisingly strict, she really had no say on the matter. She was a bit disappointed, but decided to make the best of things. She researched the region in depth the months leading up to her and her parents moving, and thought she would be just fine…even if the area was formerly a place of major criminal activity. Wasn’t everywhere? It would be just like in the books: an adventure.

Other:
-Her hands shake at times, especially when she's nervous or angry.
-She loves eating food and is quite the glutton despite her appearance.
-She has a stuffed Buneary plushie in her pack which she has had since she was two.

Pokemon
scyther.gif

Name: Rosie
Species: Scyther
Gender: Female
Personality: Jolly nature. When you look at a Scyther in the eyes, you expect to see a predator. You expect to see a pokemon hungry for violence. You expect them to attack at a moment’s notice. Rosie however is none of that. She’s the exact opposite. A bubbly and happy pokemon which at the most, will only lunge at you if she wants a hug, despite having scythes for hands. She is affectionate and a bit hyper, as well as goofy, especially when it comes to being around her trainer Astrea who she practically sees as her mother. She’s had some battling experience.
History: Oddly enough, it was Astrea’s uncle who gave her a pokemon egg, which he had found in the woods one day, on her 10 birthday, even though the girl was unable at that point to go on a journey. It would help teach her to be more responsible he had said. It was probably a Caterpie or Wurmple. Much to both their surprise, that egg eventually hatched after she spent weeks of taking care of it, and thus a Scyther was born. Her parents about blew a gasket when they saw. They said it was dangerous, much to dangerous for a young girl to have, but they stopped when they saw how well the girl and pokemon seemed to be getting along, although they were still weary. When her Uncle told her what the Scyther would be like when it evolved—red, with large pincers able to cut steel, she decided to call the pokemon Rosie because of the color. That and looking into the baby pokemon’s seemingly friendly eyes, Astrea couldn’t think of anything else. When Rosie had grown a little bit, she and her still unofficial trainer had many impromptu battles with some of the other kids in the town. They lost a lot, but it was still fun.

rowlet.gif

Name: Hunter
Species: Rowlet
Gender: Male
Personality: One thing Astrea has noticed in the short time she’s had Hunter is that he has a major inferiority complex and basically acts high and mighty as a form of compensation. He feels overshadowed by some of the other starters, which causes him to try extremely hard in battle, even going so far as to disobeying orders or continuing to fight even when the battle has been lost. He’s a bit of a sore loser and has an attitude.
History: A very recent addition to the team. The pokemon given to Astrea by Professor Krane as a starter just a day after she arrived in the Orre region. She picked him because he looked cute and hugged him, which was a mistake that he didn’t appreciate very much and pecked at her already scratched face in retaliation. Not much more can be said, except he only calmed down after Astrea put Hunter back in his pokeball. Hasn’t let him out from it ever since, but realizes she’ll eventually have to.

Knew I should have put a reserve in earlier haha. But I'll linger in case there's any open spots.

All spots are taken. But you'll be shoved on a waiting list in case someone doesn't finish or drops out.

----

Now onto the completed SUs.

A Fairy type specialist who's first two Pokemon aren't Fairies... Eh, they become Fairies eventually. xD (Mega Altaria is a Fairy. I count it.) I can make him a trainer, and make it so he gets Popplio from Professor Krane if you'd prefer, but he'll still specialize in Fairies. :p

Max has the most tragic history of all my characters...

Name: Maxwell "Max" Hudson

I have... one problem with Max. It's that to be a specialist you need your character to begin with at least one Pokemon of that type. Swablu doesn't even actually get the fairy type unless it mega evolves so it doesn't actually count in my eyes. Poppilo is alright, but you'd need another actual fairy. So pending for now.

---

I thought there were more but it looks like that's it... oops.

As a note: Keep in mind what I said about the above. I don't care if you're a specialist who has a Pokemon that will gain the type when it evolves, but you need one that already has the type.

"Orange" Magical Girl
rM9ja25.png

Name: Sara Clark (sometimes referred to as the Scarlet Shooter)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Hometown: Malie City, Alola
Trainer Type: Trainer

Appearance: Sara is a young white skinned woman that stands at five feet and seven inches. Her hair color is light brown and the hair itself is long as well. On her hair is a pink hibiscus that she got from Malie City. She has brown eyebrows and her eyes are a green color almost as shiny as emeralds. She sports a light blue shirt which allows her to transverse across hot areas like Alola with ease and sports a bone necklace around her neck too. This bone necklace was given to her by a tour guide from a field trip to Vast Poni Canyon on Poni Island She wears jeans that go to her ankles and wears black and green sneakers. She often holds a scarlet colored camera where she both takes pictures of everything from Pokemon to embarrassing stuff that people might be doing. Her camera was given to her own her 12th birthday by her parents.

Personality: Sara is generally an easy going, approachable person with a bright grin on her face 90% of the time. She hardly gets into arguments with other people as she can keep her temper very well. When it comes to being the shutterbug she is, Sara gets excited and gleefully runs around and starts to take pictures of whatever she finds interesting to her. Pokemon battles are one example of what Sara loves to snap. Sara really likes the strategies other people like to use as well as what Pokemon a trainer will use too. That said, Sara is not all rainbows and sunshine when it comes to taking pictures. In fact, Sara carries a small but darker side with her.

Sara loves taking photos but sometimes she will see something embarrassing that someone is doing and she’ll not hesitate to take a picture of the scene. Afterwards she will run off and laugh at the photo of whatever she just took a picture of for her own personal amusement. No one knows why Sara loves doing this but perhaps it was because of something that happened in her childhood that caused her to do such sneaky things. Still, even after all that, Sara then gets rid of the photos as fast as possible and vowed that, while she likes to take photos of things of people in embarrassing moments, she would never share them with a bunch of people and thus keeps it all to herself.

Overall, Sara is generally a friendly person to be around with but one should always be careful of not doing something embarrassing near Sara or else she will get a good laugh.

History: Sara was born and raised in Konikoni City, Alola for twelve years with her parents at a house near the jewelry shop. As a child, she enjoyed being in photos taken by cameramen/women alongside with her parents. Sara was originally presented with toy cameras when she was three years old where she pretended to be a real camerawoman by going around in her house, pretending to shoot photos of everything she saw. She began going to a trainer school in Heahea City at the age of eight, learning about the Island Trials Alola was known for. Sara had to be accompanied by her parents back and forth to the trainer school however as Diglett’s Tunnel was dangerous if one went alone.

When Sara became 12 years old, her parents presented her with a gift in the form of a scarlet-colored camera. Sara was initially excited that she finally could take her own photos until she also heard the news that she and her parents were moving away to Malie City on Ula’Ula Island. Saddened that she was going to leave in the next three days, she spent her birthday taking photos of everything she found amazing on Akala such as the Wela Volcano Park and various Pokemon including the Island Guardian, Tapu Lele.

Malie City was the place where Sara would begin at another trainer school. On her own free time, Sara would go around the city taking photos of many buildings, festivals, and Pokemon battles in which she enjoyed a lot. One day, she was taking photos and accidentally took a picture of someone who just fell. Sara had laughed at what she snapped but to avoid hurting the person more, she deleted the photo off her camera. For some reason, this sparked something inside Sara that she would start shooting photos of anyone who had an embarrassing incident happen to him or her.

As Sara grew older, other students at her trainer school started to take a liking to Sara’s photos. Due to how good of a shutterbug Sara was, some started to give her the title dubbed “the Scarlet Shooter” due to how she was a camerawoman and that her camera was scarlet-colored. At the age of 18, Scarlet graduated from her trainer school and one year later, she was offered the opportunity to travel to the Orre region to start becoming a real trainer herself as opposed to doing Island Trials in Alola. Sara also had looked up that Orre was home to some exciting places that she could take photos of.

Name: Flash
Species: Durant
Gender: Male
Personality: Flash is a sincere fellow. He’s always obedient to Sara no matter what and he loves all kinds of fruit. With that said, he is always scared of the thought that a Heatmor might eat him one day.
History: Sara originally met Flash at the Malie Garden where it was originally being attacked by a couple of Araquanid. After being freed from the Araquanid’s attacks, Flash took an instant liking to Sara and eventually both became good partners. Sara named the Durant Flash due her studies of fast Pokemon in which Durant was one of them.

litten.gif

Name: N/A
Species: Litten
Gender: Female
Personality: This Litten is a protective yet quiet Pokemon. It opens to humans she trusts a lot and often loves playing with a ball of yarn that Sara provides. That said, this Litten loves being around with other Pokemon as she feels it helps her learn how to deal with being around with humans better.
History: This Litten was recently picked up from Professor Krane in the Orre region. At first, it did not appreciate being held by Sara and instantly jumped off her arms. It was not until Flash told her that Sara was a kindhearted person and because of that, Sara’s newly obtained Litten opened up to her. Sara tried to pick her up again but the Litten still jumped off of her arms immediately as she did not like being held.

Metallic Wonder
With the most boring history section in recent history, I dare say my SU is done.

Alvion Region it is!
Name: Damien "Figit" Fitzgerald
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Hometown:Po Town, Ula'Ula Island, Alola Region
Trainer Type: Trainer

Appearance: Damien is a slender male that stands about 5'10 and weighs about 170 lbs. His face is usually clean shaven with black sunglasses covering his somewhat sunken green eyes. Damien's brownish-black hair is always covered up by a white and black beanie and while usually his mouth and nose are exposed, he wears a team skull bandana around his neck that he pulls across his face whenever its either rainy or dusty. Damien's attire is either one of two outfits that he owns - first outfit being his typical Team Skull attire of a black and white Tank top, a white Tank top underneath it, black and white basketball shorts, and white shoes - Damien has long since stopped wearing the Team Skull neckpiece as he no longer wishes to fully associate himself with the gang anymore.

Damien's second set of clothing is a pair of khaki slacks, a black leather belt, a black undershirt and a khaki colored button down shirt - Damien only uses this set of clothing when need be as it reminds him of his parents.

Personality: Damien is a more often than not a wannabe tryhard in terms of always wanting to act hard or be overtly funny depending on the situation and quite oftently leads him to say something unintentional - whether it be inappropriate or a unknowing double entendre, which he typically catches the more "suggestive" meaning quickly afterwards, other than always acting like he runs the show, Damien is a kind and caring person who would prefer to take the blame over another person so they didn't have to suffer - however that kind of attitude as made him unfortunately a little too trusting and has been taken advantage of multiple times throughout his life, Unfortunately, (or fortunately - depending on your preference) Damien's attitude had become more idiotic as he started to fit in with Team Skull.

Whenever Damien is good friends with someone he'll show his more goofier side of humor and sometimes will get a bit too careless with how he acts, usually it ranges anywhere from off the wall jokes or even jokingly intimidating someone just for the sake of making friends laugh. During trying times Damien is typically not one to volunteer to help immediately unless he sees some benefit to it, but will quickly be the first to step in if its an issue between friends of his.

One main con that Damien has is his sheer hatred for authority and people telling him what to do as that's all he's known for a good chunk of his life and he will more often than not snap back or become very snarky to the person giving orders, almost always leading to an argument - its not that Damien wants to be in charge, he just hates being controlled.

History: Despite how Damien's current actions and situation would lend you to believe, Damien actually was born to a moderately wealthy family back when Po Town was a desireable place to live. Damien was born in the Malie city general hospital as his family originally lived in Malie City at the time, has Damien grew older, his attention turned towards Pokémon like all typical children in the Alola region and was head set on participating in the island trials - something Damiens parents frowned upon as they wished for Damien to become someone of a "Higher standard" I.E, Doctor, Lawyer, etc. and despite many attempts to persuade Damien to abandoning his dreams of being a trail leader, Damien became more and more stubborn and resentful to his parents, as punishment, Damien's family moved to Po town as there were was less of an influence of trial goers there, leaving Damien no choice but to follow his parents dreams - that was until high school where Damien started to hang out with "undesirable hoodlums" as his parents described the kids, ignoring their demands to stop interacting with that crowd, Damiens parents threatened to move to Kanto to completely remove any and all will to be a rebel from Damien, this however drastically backfired as Damien immediately dropped out of school to prove he wasn't going to be controlled by his parents anymore.

As a response to Damien dropping out of School, Damien's parents disowned him and left him without anything as they decided to leave off to Kanto anyways. Now Penniless and Hungry, Damien turned to his friends who were starting to get into the life of Crime, in a gang known as "Team Skull". Damien was initially prevented from entering the gang as he didn't have his own Pokémon and was ridiculed and mocked for it, in order for him to join, Damien had to steal a Pokémon and claim it as his own, that was when he managed to stumble across his Cottonee when he was staking out a store to rob in order to get something to eat, After making the claim he stole it from a breeder he was taken into the gang, however it was short lived as within a month he was caught by the police, Damien was given an ultimatum by the island Kahuna to either take part in the Island trials starting in Melemele as a form of rehabilitation or face jail time - not one to want to go to jail and also seeing this as his opportunity to take part in his childhood dream, Damien opted to go the route of taking the trails, something that came to be much more difficult that he had expected, frustrated at only being able to finish one trial, Damien attempted to make an escape from Alola on a ship headed towards Orre to start anew.

Other:
- Damien almost always moves his hands when he talks (something that he picked up when he was in Team Skull and is trying to stop doing)
- Damien adores Steel and Poison type Pokémon
- Damien's favorite foods are malasadas, most Mexican foods, and chocolate - all of these he is almost unable to control himself when it comes to eating.
- Damien is terrified of psychic type Pokémon, but is always trying to get over that said fear.

Name: Axl Rose
Species: Cotonee
Gender: Male
Personality: Axl Rose (Or mostly just Axl) is a very tricky Pokémon to handle as he loves to steal stuff and play pranks on other people and Pokémon. If something doesn't go Axl's way, he makes sure to let everyone know he's unhappy about the situation, usually by crying loudly and throwing things around until he gets his way. Axl Rose is very clingy and loving to Damien as Damien is the only Human he trusts.

History: Damien found Axl one day during a rainstorm when he was in the middle of staking out a goods store that was closed for the day, The Cottonee was heavily waterlogged due to the immense and sudden downpour. At first, Axl was terrified of Damien as it became appearant Axl was considered a "Breedject" and was released as a baby - giving him a fear of humans and rejection, after a short while Axl finally entrusted in Damien to be his trainer, and also Damiens first Pokémon.

Other: Axl never parts ways with his brightpowder that he stole from a store one time.
